It's a little bit funny survivors don't want to face tier S killers, but they refuse to change their meta build DS, DH, IW, UB that make them seem good players against weaker killers.
-
Level 5 tome: cleanse 30 totens, repair 50 generators, rescue 100 survivors.

Well I think my MMR is high for Spirit because I play her a lot. I will say Spirit is still very good at high level, it’s just takes time to get good with her especially after her last nerf.
I will say Iron Will isn’t healthy in its current state and needs to be nerfed to be primarily stealth instead of a chase perk. Running survivors should make sounds even with the perk equipped.
I think we can start accepting the fact that Iron Will won't be fixed. It's pretty much an intended feature survivors to be completely in silence. Behaviour had the opportunity to fix the perk when they changed that sound calculation. It's been years, they know about it. They don't even dare to talk about it. Why they keep the mystery? I honestly don't know. They should at least change the perk description.
-
I can't play Billy, definitely. I don't even dare to do the archive challenges that involve him.
-
Actually, COH makes gens go faster.
I don't think it was created to slow down gens. I view them as an attempt to buff solo survivor.
-
Against a player that knows how to use Iron Will? Purely guessing.
But general players tend to run like horses, you can hear them by their running footsteps.
-
How BHVR hates Billy if every Rift he has an outfit? I always question why since no one plays him
-
I think you need open the game for 7 days (I don't know if it's consecutive though, but I believe it is).
-
Honestly, if they have no plans fixing Iron Will breathing issues, at least they could make the blood marks basekit to Spirit
-
Survivors ALWAYS complain when they are overplayed by any killer. If you face a main Hag, Nemesis, Pyramid Head, Doctor, Artist, killers that counter 100% survivor's defenses, you will have the same feeling as playing against a main Nurse. You just want to run around a pallet mindlessly for hours and pretending you're good at the game. Get out of yout comfort zone.
-
It's not a Nurse issue. Actually survivors dc when they are downed in 5 seconds, no matter the killer they are facing.
The thing is that at high MMR and the killer is Nurse the survivor predicts it's a good Nurse thus the quitting is sooner.
-
@TheGrimQueefer said:
No you don't. You hook, you go pressure a generator to push someone off it knowing the hooked survivor has to be saved by one of the remaining survivors.
At the start of the game this leaves one person doing gens unbothered, provided they're a SWF who can coordinate.
Proxying allows gens to be tapped out by an organised team. It is lazy & often leads to moaning by the killer that the gens go too quick.
If a killer is pressuring someone who isn't doing gens, that is a mistake in most circumstances. Unless they're tunnelling of course, but let's not get into that discussion.
You can push someone off a generator by proxy camping or even face camping, mainy when the hooked survivor is almost reaching the second state of struggle. Two survivors must go for a safe unhooking, at the end it's 3 survivors not doing gens.
It is not a lazy strategy, it's efficiency. Are you calling survivors lazy because they are splitting on gens and dropping safe all the pallets? I guess no.
-
The MMR is not the problem, it just highlights the problems.
Weak killers having to deal with overly boosted survivor perks and itens and totally unbalanced maps, and I'm not even considering SWFs...
In the other hand, solo queue survivors dealing with desperate killers and unfun strategies.
And you know what's worse? Behaviour creating even more biased content, like COH.
The game is flawed in the core and the MMR is just an indicator.

I loved the dress, but the flowers are odd.

Landing that perfect Nurse Blink everyone says you're not allowed to. You know, the kind where you guess and sucker punch some Dwight through three walls on Lery's instead of respecting the lack of LOS and blinking to the corner like a good little nurse.
A perfect blink chain after waiting for the dead hard is so satifying too!
-
It still exists and it's pretty common nowadays, sadly. They know which killer (character) they are facing and the Steam ID of the player.
-
All this mental juggling just to say that you loop the killers for 5 gens?
-
Tbagging, flashlight clicking, etc, can be toxic in my opinion.
When I play killer I know when a survivor is t-bagging to get my attention, in a legit way, it's totally fine. If I'm proxy camping and you tbag, it's ok. If they want to be chased, it's ok. I don't find it toxic, it's a pure strategy to get me distracted, and it happens so much when the match is getting hard for survivors.
But if I'm having a bad match, playing a killer I visibly have no experience, zero hooks, even though I'm putting a lot of effort, and you start to mocking me... go f*ck yourself. I've been seen this happening mainly with newer killer players. People that do that are a total piece of sh*t.

What exactly makes those add-on unfair though, I'm always wondering when someone says an addon or killer is OP... but how?
They give less time to survivors to react or find safer positions. They make the Nurse player less punished in case of a unsuccessful blink.

Therefore, she is a balanced killer, right? Her addons are pure garbage outside of 4-5, so that would only leave her basekit that is too strong.
But who am I to complain? None of my threads in which I have balance-related issues are agreed upon, even when I literally always see everyone share the same views with me. It's just my threads where everyone changes their mind.
She's definitely not balanced considered how bad are the vast majority of the other killers! She requires the survivors to act as a team, while the other killers struggle to go against ONE survivor. That's what DBD became when you play with weaker killers, 1x1, because they can't compete with 4 survivors.
The only thing that makes her unfair is the range and recharge addons, she does not need them.
-
She doesn't need any nerf to her basekit.
And you're complaining about the most difficult thing in this game: controlling the distance through the vertical angle of the blink.

Hope your cousin is ok.
This really needs to be addressed in some way, either by in game changes or bans.
Endangering peoples health just to be a toxic waste of breath jerk is not ok and BHVR is just letting them do it.
My concern is that this situation can be abusable by players, you know, people love to be jerks, once they realize that this can affect other players, they will do it on purpose.
-
I think we should be able to gift bloodpoints to teammates/killer after the match. Just something to show we appreciated the match/playing with them. Nothing big, of course, just a little amount of bloodpoints (1-5k for example).

My cousin suffers from epilepsy and those ######### survivors gave my cousin an extreme seizure. Foam came out of his mouth and it scared the living crap out of me. Can we do something about this, BHVR, or is it too much to ask for a solution? Because you nearly killed him.
Your monthly remind.
-
I'm so sorry for your cousin, I hope in the future the game becomes safer for him and everyone in the same situation :(
-
I love Rin, she's the one who keeps me playing DBD.
In my opinion, she is by far the best designed character in terms of gameplay, the most unique and creative power (tracking by hearing).
Actually, you can build up a real skill by playing Spirit and this is fun!
Hate the game or not, but you will have fun challenging yourself by playing Spirit. 😊
-
Complaining about camping is the same as to complain about survivors looping, gen rushing, body blocking.
Honestly, you should be concerned about the way your teammates are playing, not about your adversary.
The killer is not there to make easier for you.
-
I'm really curious to see if things are going to be different after the stretched res fix.
-
Dead Hard and Iron Will.
-
1) Plague
2) Huntress
3) Spirit
4) Oni
-
Thrilling Tremos and its 60 seconds cooldown...
-
There's a lot of bug report about this issue (even I did last year), so I don't think they forgot about it.
-
I think BHVR realized it's impossible to create a real skill based matchmaking in dbd. This game is heavily unpredictable. Its unpredictable nature does impact much more the outcome of a match than players own skill. There are infinite variables that can impact players performance (perks, maps, etc), it's impossible to take these calculations into consideration. In my opinion, kill/escape is the most honest standand to queue up players right now.
The problem in my opinion is that the current SBMM should be used to find flaws in the game design and the SBMM indeed do highlight these flaws, we all know them, the forum is full of feedback, but it seems nothing is being done...
-
I miss so much the old Yamaoka... 😖
-
I always thought flashlights should have a mechanic of tokens instead of charges. Each activation consumes a token, so if the player tries to spam the flashlight, they will run out of tokens.
Anyway, will this happen? They never said anything about flashlight macro so I don't think it will be a priority situation.
It took them 6 years to fix stretched resolution and they knew it had unfair advantages...

I haven't actually enjoyed DBD in a very long time, to be honest.
Hey, you know I was revisiting my old screenshots and some videos I had recorded of the game and I started to agree with you about the Descend Beyond reworks and how they have changed the game for the worse. It's kinda hard to explain, but I get the feeling that all these changes did bring a generic atmosphere to the game and I think they contributed to make us feel tired, in a way. I mean, some changes were good (characters changes like retextures and animations), but maps were really unpleasent changes.
I remember I used to love playing on Macmillan and now it's absolutely my most disgusted map, not because of leveling design, but because of its appearence, it's just a bland map, clearer, without colour. This is just an expression of what the game have become: unappealing.
-
How do I deal with sabo swfs? Honestly, in the times of Circle of Healing, I don't know what to do, sorry. Since this perk came out, I honestly did not find out how to counter a lot of survivor's strategies, including these sabotage omnipotent squads. I need to relearn the game, or maybe I was always bad.
It seems like they can do everything without being penalized and it's a total loss-loss situation when I play Killer, no matter what I do.
-
For me, on the survivor side I think it's the unpredictable progress of the match. I mainly used to feel this when I was newbie, everything was new and every little detailed used to surprise me. But as soon as I understood the game mechanics and I got experienced, almost everyhting became boring. But sometimes matches still surprises me and it's satisfactory feeling
On the killer side, I think the most satisfying moments are when I use the killer's power at the best way possible. It's satisfying too when I succeed to read properly a survivor's pattern.
I know it's not specific cases, but these things, for me, are the best moments :)
-
I would exclude the I-frames and make the survivor unable to vault and drop a pallet for a little amount of time, like doctor's shock therapy, after using the perk.
-
Spirit without addon is FAR from being the third best killer. She is totally addon dependant to face competent teams. People that say she's fine without addon they don't play Spirit at all or when they play they face noob survivors running like horses that don't even look behind.
-
@HoG_Nagato said:
Thanks for all your feedback so far guys, i really appreciate it!
But i havent seen so many tips regarding his portals so far. Any more help about that?
Place the portal next to the gen. If a survivor is fixing that gen, you'll know if you activate the Shred.
Another tip about Shred is that the longer you hold it, the farther Demogorgon will go.
-
The only way that Trapper works for me is using a Devour Hope build and playing defending the totem.
Corrupt Intervention, Devour Hope, Thanatophobia and Deadlock are my go to.
Trap the totem, areas around it and let the party begin. It works quite often!
-
Quite often, but I tend to memorize the spawns while I travel the map if I see the totems, so it does not last long.
-
At least it's gonna fix that cheesy animation 😄
-
I'm sorry, but how do you measure skill on dbd? How do you measure skill with so many ways to virtually influence the outcome of a match?
When you have perks like Devour Hope, Dead Hard, Decisive Strike, Ruin...
Maps like The Game, Haddonfield.
Busted addons and items.
Solo queue and SWF.
From Nurse to Trapper.
Till someone finds a fair way to measure skill, I thnk Kill/Escape is the most consistent and reliable way of knowing if players are good on complete the only objective of the game: kill or escape.

She’s fine. Any chase power that strong warrants such a downside
You say this because you don't like playing against her, obvisouly any buff would be unfair.
-
@NoOneKnowsNova said:
You want to buff the third best killer in the game...?
She is very inconsistent to be considered the "third" best killer in the game. There are a lot of things that affect her gameplay. She can be the best, but she can be the worst, just as a lot of other killers considered "weaker".

@GoodBoyKaru said:
Spirit is still one of the best killers in the game at 4.4m/s. I and many others can still do very well with her without Add-ons (with @TheGannMan rip) being one of the best I know.
She takes more practice now than before and some knowledge of survivor pathing and overall playstyles, and yes with 4x Iron Will gamers she can feel kinda... Lackluster at times (meaning "on maps with little to no foliage") however she is still incredibly strong.
If anything, comparing Blight and Spirit is a more compelling argument for Blight being 4.4 over Spirit being 4.6.
I don't have problems tracking survivors and I honestly don't care about Iron Will, on a competitive perspective there's almost no skill juking a Spirit with Iron Will, so it doesn't bother me.
I only play dbd because of Spirit, it's fun to track survivors by the sounds (at least it should be fun). If survivors aren't making any sound they are not appealing to me :P
Tthe folliage/dusts they help, but... boring...
My concern about the Spirit's movement speed is that there is absolutely no justifying for her being that slow.
Her being 4.6 would help to improve her map mobility. The phase is not meant to cover her weak map mobility, it's a exclusive chase intended power, mainly after the nerf but it's my opinion of course.

The condition is not being exhausted. Not every killer perk requires the killer to do anything either for powerful effects (i.e. hexes).
Exhaustion status is not a condition, is a limitation. Survivors must win exhaustion perks to be able to use them, that's the point.
