the artist is just unfun to play against, so I am glad no one likes her. at least with nemesis, slinger, or p-head you can dodge. artist just throws 3 crows on every loop and hits you when you are inevitably forced to leave or die

Last match I played was against a sabo squad, 4 dead hard good enough for you?
yep... that checks out. 4 dead hards, sabo builds, the game offering with the purple tree, my condolences. oh wait you got a 3k that's pretty good
-
is it really high mmr if there are only 2/4 dead hards?

Imagine if you weren't playing a survivor-approved killer.
What's the official list of survivor approved, gold star killers? Trying to see if I measure up to their standards lol
-
Survivor in first person could be amazing, but killer would need a global nerf. like all killers down to 105% movement speed or something like that
-
Blight is a killer for that kind of person that gets very aroused upon hearing the words "tech" "exploit" and "speedrun"
-

boons aren't a problem imo, CoH is just extremely broken.
the problem with the other boons is not that they are good, it's that they cannot be buffed without ruining the game because the boon mechanic is not good for the game

DH- my argument is the distance should be gone, give to much freedom and can correct mistakes/outplays. It really punishes basic attack killers (as if they weren't weak already)
NOED/RANCOR- I honestly have no issues for these perks except the ability to boost stats massively, nothing wrong with them other than that.
COH- luckily this is being changed, not sure on the others yet. Shadow step can be a pain when its across multiple floors and a map that has loads of sight blockers (gideon being a good example)
@MrPenguin said:
DH and CoH are are pretty obvious.
BT just needs collision removed on the survivor affected by it.
Boons, either they're going to be too strong or too weak, giving the killer an extra time sink is too much for any worthwhile effect in the current game state. So its either bad/niece effect or CoH levels. Something about them needs to change on a base level, if anything for futureproofing.
Unbreakable is fine on its own, but is very volatile to be in no counterplay combo material. Like old DS and Boil Over.
NoED, whether you think its strong or not, is incredibly unfun to go against. Especially for solo players.
Right now, my list is dead hard, noed, circle of healing, shadow step, BT (removing collision is a great idea, and I'll credit you for it in the video I make) DS (I only have a tiny change to DS, which would be adding a couple actions to the list of things that deactivate it) spine chill, dark theory

Dead Hard, Spine Chill, Boon: Dark Theory and Overcome
what is problematic about overcome?
-
@StarLost said:
I'll avoid the obvious ones, as other people will talk about them.
On killer, I honestly can't think of many that are too strong, but plenty that are too weak. Predator, MS, TI etc.
NOED might need a look, but I could go either way on that perk.
Survivor:
Spine Chill. Should not work on undetectable. It's ridiculous how two entire killers (GF, Myers) get hard countered by a common perk.
Iron Will. Stridor should counter this better.
Boil Over. This perk just needs to be replaced with something else entirely. It's not good, but is just annoying to play against.
Boons. Not in the way you're thinking, but more that they blind counter a perk a lot of people were excited about (Pentimento) like nobody's business. You should be able to Penti boons after you snuff them.
Also a lot of useless perks that need reworking though.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2888831#Comment_2888831
Interesting.
Why would you say BT is problematic?
Ruin is another odd pick - it's certainly powerful, but it's also very fragile.
I hadn't thought about spine chill because I don't play stealth killers, but you're right
-
@Valik said:
You got the OP perks:
Dead Hard, Borrowed Time | Ruin, NOED.
But you also have the lame perks:
Sole Survivor, Solidarity | Predator, Monstrous Shrine
Really, most (if not all) perks should be reworked. I think everyone has ideas. Don't know why Behavior hasn't spent more time on the endeavor.
Let me know if you want insights into what perks should be reworked and why, I have an idea for each one.
I am interested in your thoughts on BT. I play 80% killer, and I didn't see it as on the level of dead hard
-
big waste. survivors can just cleanse at a fountain. dont run anything that affects survivor to survivor healing, or medkits on plague

Imagine how sick a Hellraiser map would have been like the labyrinth
This would be unimaginably cool... I hope they revisit old killers and give them maps. The labyrinth for pinhead, or downtown seoul for trickster

@jesterkind said:
That Dead Hard change is one that I've been championing for a while, honestly. It'd be the simplest, most elegant change to the core problem of that perk.
The NOED change is unnecessary but probably wouldn't have that much of a negative impact, so go nuts, that'd be a fair trade as far as I'm concerned.
I agree that a NOED change is less necessary, but it really wouldn't affect the perk's strength and would probably alleviate survivor complaining
-
day 1 it seemed like mmr was turned completely off. survivors played so awfully that it was barely fun at all. these last 2 days have been better
-
the "broke" things you offered are some of the most balanced and actually weak killers... the only non-silly thing in this post is the point about perks
-
@Adaez said:
Due to popular demand from the killers...
they never listen to survivors.Like y'all keep giving great and good perks to killers then we get "injured survivors can see your aura and you heal 10% faster" Yall needa be 50/50 with your community
What's next,adding a cooldown to boons 🤣
cooldown on boons? YES YES YES YES YES PLEASE
-
and I'm david with no dead hard

then no fun will be had
How exactly are these perks fun?
For survivors: get insta killed in the endgame with no warning, simply because you did gens and didn't run counterforce
For killers: get robbed of a successful mindgame every 40 seconds, adding another 30 seconds to 1 minute onto every chase
Like these are categorically unfun to play against, except the rare situation where the killer has noed and you have counterforce/small game
-
Yes, due to the oppressiveness of SWF teams and multiple gens going off with prove thyself 30-40 seconds into the match
-
Survivor? Just play a lot in a team. Solo survivor? Just play a lot, period.
Killer? Just use mean builds and tunnel, it's really not hard
-
BBQ - know where to tv right after hooking
Make your choice - TV right back to the hook after they unhook and collect your insta down
Floods of rage - know exactly where the exposed person from MYC is
Slowdown perk of your choice
-
Got accused of cheating yesterday. Playing trickster, had 2 survivors alive. One was dying on hook, the other one clearly had no intention of helping. The not hooked one was injured, and hadn't had a medkit all game. No active boon either. I see her heal, and I'm like huh? so I go right to the basement, the chest is open of course. First locker I check, there she is lol

I also tunnel and camp, and if someone calls me out I just write: "thanks for telling me what I did, I know what I am doing."
I prefer a more simple approach. I just keep typing "cope"
-
I will personally make sure that they never stop complaining through my play

RPD is great for stealth killers

I will go check that youtube as fast i can as you mention Buily09, so thanks for that tip for beginners like me. :)
The biggest DBD youtuber is Otzdarva, his content is like 60% killers and 40% survivor. He has a lot of informative guides

Lol ok so DH seems to make killers cry to most and you see people as Git Goot but then you see people say about NOED. So killers cry because DH extends a chase a little and rewards a mistake (people are not perfect mistakes happen) on the other side NOED can feel like a reward to a bad killer because it can some times be the first down they get and if you are a solo survivor it can be so sad to see the other three throw open the gate and leave you. Both sides have perks that are always going to cause people to cry if you do not like it maybe learn to counter it? I personally do not use DH because when I have I usually run into walls.
Extends chase "a little"??? if tiles are spawned in a favorable way to survivors, dead hard can make a 35 second chase into a 3 minute chase
-
Yup, she is really fun. The fun disappears quickly once you get high mmr survivors, but she's still a great design and very fun
-
enjoy the concert from far away and absolutely do not go backstage
-
I stream 95% killer, but I mean I have 3 viewers on average, like most ttvs. Everyone loves to generalize the ttv players

Boon strong , it should get nerfed.

Only drop the speed to 40/45/50 but make it so that only the boon setter can self care in it.
-
If you are not playing an extreme mobility killer (nurse and blight) USE BOTH at the same time
-
disregard the opinions of mikaelas. destroy bones. win game. repeat as needed
-
deathslinger + nemesis
purely so that after reeling he just drops the gun and punches the survivor

Twins are still the most ambitious Killer with the best power design in the game released yet. (imo).
Problem is the god-awful launch, massive bugs and ridiculous limitations they have put on them and their powers.
Add ons are also a joke. Best add on is still the brown toy sword (which was recently nerfed).
Well I am a pyramid head main, so twins add ons seem almost good in comparison...

@GoshJosh said:
Yep, it’s a five second timer after any pounce with Victor - successful or not. Huge nerf they received after release. You cannot swap between Charlotte and Victor, or unbind Victor, too close to a hooked survivor, but I don’t know the number on that distance.
It’s not just in your head, they are very clunky compared to release.
I knew there was something weird going on with hooks. I just wish these restrictions were visible on screen
-
I'm a killer main, but when I play survivor I would have to hand it to hex: plaything
-
Bubba is a mid tier killer. Definitely the most brutal mistake punisher in the game, but good survivors can roll over him.
-
YUP, no main building, only like 2 pallets. Shelter woods is awful, I genuinely feel bad for survivors when I get it as killer
-
I only give the hatch if a survivor rage quits early, like at 4 or 5 gens

Oh, since when do hockey players have to play hockey against the Troll that escaped from the Hogwarts Dungeon? Would love to see that hockey game.
And I never said every single actions at all. I just redefined what a "goal" is in DBD, and I did the maths, it checks out. You can track the average time compared to the average time to other players in your same bracket. If you extremely outperform them, even if you die, you as an individual survivor should still gain MMR even from lost games. But if you perform worse, even if you escape, you can still lose MMR if you did absolutely nothing, especially if you did it at the cost of your teammates(I do need to add the maths in, but you should be falling at about 35% MMR, where 100% is basically 0 MMR, which, even with the 2x multiplier, you would be at about 70% of MMR and still lose points. You would have to have 0 hooks, 0 chasetime and all teammates dead at that point, to be fair).
The math checks out so far, I have found some outliers, but those came extremely close to being tied anyway. I need to do a bit more experimentation before I publish my finds, because its basically a free formula that the devs could use for a testrun.
Come on man, don't immediately discredit what I said by making a LITERAL comparison when we are dealing in analogies. In the Hockey/MMR debate, a player on a bad hockey team that consistently puts up good stats, scores goals and gets shots on net etc can still lose every game. This does not make him a bad player. This is the DBD player who loops the killer for 2 gens, completes 2 gens, heals and unhooks, and then dies on first hook in the endgame because his team left him. In hockey, the good player on a bad team is eventually rewarded when good teams try to trade for him. In DBD, his MMR goes down and the people who left him to die go up. This is because no game developer has figured out how to code a SBMM algorithm to detect for every little thing outside of winning and losing. This is why most games with a ranked mode have a CLEAR win and loss. Games that do not have a clear win/loss condition like DBD are doomed to either make a ridiculously complicated spaghetti code SBMM that accounts for every single action taken by the player, or just hamfist a win/loss condition where it isn't clear. DBD has done the latter.
-
As an actual hockey player, DBD actually CAN be like hockey. But the code required to place appropriate value on every single action a survivor does besides killing or escaping is wayyyyyyyy too hard for any game. Such is the nature of having an asymmetric game where wins and losses are not harshly defined
-
Honestly something about artist needs to change, because I love DMS and I don't think it's OP on any other killer

Na. The closest I come is blight. I need variety and playing all killers. I get bored so easily.
this is me in basically every game that has multiple characters. it's why I never rank up in league of legends lmfao
-
I've been playing for 150 hours now and i still have yet to face the twins a single time.
-
I will literally only clicky clicky and tbag if the killer facecamped and I survived it
