Ghostface for me given I'm a fan of the movies. Always makes me look over my shoulder afterwards for a few hours. But hmm.. him or Nurse. Given I work in health care just.. seeing that floating down a hall, screaming then teleporting. I'd be scared for my life and worried if she was going to operate.
Yeah working in healthcare probably makes the nurse a million times worse

Freddy. Anything the other killers can do, he can do. Also, you can't run from him so long as sleep is a requirement.
The sleep aspect of Freddy would be terrifying
-
@UntilValhalla13 said:
Probably Nurse, or even Spirit. Both can kind of just APPEAR anywhere. One day, you're taking a shower or something... BAM! Nurse out of nowhere. Spirit's twitching/phasing in and out would also be unsettling.
Nurse would be scary cause you have nowhere to hide, she can always get you

In real life for me it would be Ghostface and Trapper.
Ghostface because the thought of getting stalked without knowing is creeping me out. And even if you notice that you have been watched ('exposed') you sometimes don't even know from where he's coming for you.
Trapper because his whole presence is scary and you could walk into his traps anytime.
Stalkless Ghostface would be freaky too. You never know when he's coming he just turns a corner and cuts you
-
@Hail_to_the_King said:
Spirit because of her creepy movements and dismembered body parts while passively phasing would be terrifying. Or Doctor because the laugh and crazy look.
Her moans would be creepy too. You have no clue where she's at but you just hear her groaning...creepy for sure
-
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
Myers for sure. He still creeps me out in the Halloween movies.
Myers would be so freaky. Especially with the fact he's unkillable. He just...doesn't stop
-
@Mister_Holdout said:
Probably Demo or Oni. They seem to be the most physically menacing.
Yeah their size alone is ######### terrifying, let alone what they can do
-
@Lyfe said:
We not gonna talk about Wraith? You know the guy that’s INVISIBLE! Real-life has pretty good graphics and I don’t think I have double battery flashlights on me 24/7.
Hag too. Hag would have me crouch walking every where. Buying a coffee? Best believe I’m gonna crouch my way to the counter. What you drive over her traps? Would your headlights disable them first?
Wraith would very freaky and id get bell ptsd after lmao
-
@ProfoundEnding said:
Huntress because her humming creeped me tf out when I started playing!
And assuming her aim is good it's like, if you can see her; she can kill you
-
@Almo said:
Demogorgon because it is the most unnatural-looking.
The sounds he makes when he's carrying you are freaky as #########
-
@trapped_by_daylight said:
Honestly, this may sound odd at first, but I’d go with Pig. In the saw movies, the people with the pig masks abduct you and put you in one of Jigsaw’s games, where no matter what, you will be mutilated and most likely lose a few limbs. Literally being in one of those traps is enough to probably mentally screw you up. There’s some crazy traps like the RBT’s The Shotgun Carousel, and the Venus Flytrap that are absolutely terrifying in real life.
I would hate the RBT. Not only the idea of how brutal the death would be, but having to listen to the small amount of time I have left ticking away. Literally counting down to my death. And being forced to search for a key that very well might not be there
-
@MrsGhostface said:
Doctor. I can’t imagine what your mind and body feel like after being shocked so much, not to mention his face. Still love him but I’d rather not be chased by him.
Edit: Actually Oni, mainly because of his mori. Also, once you spill a bit of blood there is no losing him. F* that LOL
Yeah it's that thing where it's like once he's gotten a taste of you, you're not stopping him. Period.
-
@AvisDeene said:
Trapper. His presence, walk, and look are all scary, but what’s worse is you have to worry about every step you take, because the next one may get your foot lopped off.
This thread is making me want to go buy some weapons.
In real life those bear traps are like "oh no! How unfortunate!" It's more like
"Well, at least I don't have to worry about being stuck cause my ENTIRE FOOT IS GONE"
-
@Pulsar said:
Probably Myers.
Large man with a knife who is evil incarnate and can take a beating. Not to mention, he moves so sneakily, motion detecting lights cannot pick him up. Plus, he wears a white emotionless mask and never speaks.
I would probably die from fright with something I pulled off today but I see happen a lot.
Start off, corrupt forces them towards me. I hear a crow and I'm next to the house on badham with the gen in the top. I know they're gonna go there so I wait in the room next to it that'll let me see into it and sure enough someone runs in and starts working. Takes them all the way through my evil within 1 to realize I'm there and I watch him explode the gen, run in a circle for a sec, and run into several walls before going down lmao
-
@RaSavage42 said:
It would be Doctor.... getting shocked and seeing him looking at me with those unblinking eyes
Or Spirit cause of her passive phasing... not knowing where she could be coming from
Doctor's laughing would get to me but ultimately, based on how his "insanity" is in the game, I think it wouldn't be the worst one in there. Just constantly paranoid which would be terrifying but not as bad as like, Clown or Demo.
Or spirit. God she'd be terrifying. You never know if it's wind or her phasing, and everything that "sounds" like footsteps would send me running
-
@Bill_I_Am__Overbeck said:
Probably the hag. Just imagine a creature just shooting out of the floor in front of you. It's a pretty good jump-scare in-game, so what about real life?
Oni would be pretty scary to hear in the distance, especially when he slams his kanabo around and you can hear it thud and roars.
Hag would give me PTSD about walking. Literally every step could be your last...that gets unnerving quickly
Ugh and Oni, just his size alone would scare the bejesus out of me
-
@Poweas said:
Can you please give me a good rework idea for it then? Since they both counter 'toxic' (although most effective in my eyes) playstyles. DS counters Tunnelling, and NOED counters Genrushing.
I see way too many people complaining about them, but instead of complaining, try to offer up a good rework idea. This isn't a rant, I genuinely want to see what people have in mind for a nerf/rework.
Decisive Strike deactivates when the survivor is healed to full, works on a generator, gets into a locker, saves another survivor, heals another survivor, interacts with a door, and a variety of other actions.
No One Escapes Death now has a time limit based on how quickly the game went. If you had a long time to kill the survivors and failed, then you deserve the loss. If the gens went in seconds and you had no chance, then it gives you a second chance with an advantage. Since they clearly know what they're doing.
-
@Mikeasaurus said:
For me it would have to be the Demogorgon. Seeing that tank of a creature bellowing toward you would have me freeze with fear. Second to that, Clown. I hate clowns, and he is freaky, not to mention the finger thing. That gives me chills!
Ooh and his scream...god I hate that scream even in game lol. Imagine just hearing that and dead silence...like ok I'll go ahead and curl into a ball and die now

I kind of agree though, IF IF IF anything can be called gen rushing it's survivors going in with toolboxes, BNP and maybe prove yourself? But then still you're just trying to get your job done faster.
Isn't that the same thing as tunneling? You're just trying to get your job done faster.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I think a lot of Killers aren't used to Survivors actually doing objectives. Tons of players just mess around or waste time healing in corners so no Killers can get practice for dealing with pressure.
Depends on the map too of course but usually when I get messages like this after games the match was usually in their favor and they just got outplayed. I think its just salt.
First off, the match is very rarely in the killer's failure. That's just how the game works. Second, the fact that survivors can go in with the ability to stop a killer's ability to play the game is an extreme show off unbalance
-
Gen rushing is to killers as tunneling is to survivors. It takes away their fun by drastically shortening the game and robbing them of points. Think about it, why is tunneling hated by survivors? Because it quickly takes you out of the game, often resulting in a black pip at best, and robs you of a full game's worth of points.
Why do killers hate gen rushing? Because it quickly takes you out of the game, often resulting in a black pip at best, and robs you of a full game's worth of points.
The only difference is survivors can make entire builds against being tunneled. As a killer, if the survivors are dedicated to gen rushing you, you have no choice but to take it. Ruin is now useless. Pop doesn't work if all the gens are gone before you hook someone. Corrupt only stops 3 gens and only for 2 minutes. Thanataphobia requires you to avoid chases. Dying Light takes all game to start being useful and won't at all stop gen rushing. I'm in class and can't think of other perks but please remind me so I can show the flaw. If I can't find one in it I congratulate you and you get a cookie 🍪

Shadow of Mordor or Shadow of War are great purely for the Nemesis system alone.
If you want horror, SOMA is an amazing horror game focusing on psychological horror with an absolutely amazing story. Seriously, play SOMA for the story alone and try to go in blind, it even has a Safe Mode if you want.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is great, although I'm more partial to older MH games.
The Amnesia Collection is always great.
Alien Isolation is an amazing horror game as well.
I'll take a look at them, thank you!

The base price for me was $11.99 on Origin.
I'm sure you can get the game for under 20 bucks on PlayStation. The game has been out since 2017.
Just be aware that Battlefront 2 is a pretty big download. Around 80gb.
I'll make room if I have to. Probably by deleting DBD lmao. ######### this game, even EA would be a better replacement.

I understand not liking EA, but I would give Battlefront 2 a try. I paid 11 dollars for the game and haven't had to pay anything else.
Dice really has made Battlefront 2 pretty awesome.
$11? Sale or base price?

Dang, I was going to recommend you an upcoming PC game with a lot of promise.
As for PS4, you might try Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017). This game has come a long way and is now pretty fun. I got it over the Holidays and was quite impressed by it.
If you have patience, Overwatch 2 is also an option. It's basically a reboot of the very popular Overwatch game.
Other than that, I've heard some good things about Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019).
Not much of a fan of EA but I suppose I could give it a try someday. I play Overwatch pretty regularly, maybe I just need to play that more. I definitely want to try the new COD soon

Possibly, it's a smaller team like BHVR, so they are releasing it on PC first. They do hope/plan to go multi-platform at some point.
I hope so, it looks awesome. Small teams make me happy too. More communication and a more community like feeling

I recommend 7 days to die, Minecraft(lololol) and dying light
Dying Light looked alright, a little quirky but if the gameplay is alright I could get past it. I love 7 days, but get bored quickly. And I play Minecraft still, but same problem with 7 days.

There is GTFO it's starting to build a scene, I hear it's good. Myself have been playing Red Dead Redemption more.

In this genre? Nothing crazy in the genre atm but stuff is coming soon.
Predator Hunting Grounds 4v1 game releases in late April on PS4.
Resident Evil 3 remake comes with Resident Evil Resistance another 4v1 horror game. April 3rd iirc
I'll keep my eyes open and give them a try. I love resident evil so that could be fun if done right

Hmm yes it's almost like there's no more killers at high ranks. I wonder why. Do you think a team of developers who don't listen to their playerbase and show extreme, unbridled bias towards one set of players might do that? I don't know...
-
But don't worry, for a solution is on its way!
Are you tired of seeing ranks sometimes exponentially higher than yourself? Making the game literally impossible to win without some one in a million stroke of luck or an enemy team or player who lets you win?
Introducing "Hiding the rank so you can't tell"!
Why fix the problem when you can sweep it under the rug? Just listen to these great reviews!
Jane says: "This ######### is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Do you guys even care?"
Andrew says: "Laziest developers I've ever seen. Don't fix the problem, just hide it."
And finally, Luanne says: "I liek chang"
With a review like that, you're bound to like it too! Try it now today! You have no choice!

@Cetren said:
This is just new ruin except worse. Particularly since it doesn't effect everyone like old old ruin did at levels 1 and 2. What happens is that whoever is effected by it is the new unhook/totem search guy and whoever isn't just stays on gens. Gotta pass on this one.
That's the point. They stop doing generators and the generator progression slows down. And as they finish more, then less and less people are doing generators until, under your example, no one is doing generators anymore and everyone is unhooking and looking for the totem, meaning nothing gets done and you get massive snowball
-
@konchok said:
I think it's a bit too complicated. Take Hex Devour hope as an example, it requires 5 tokens but has 3 different effects. Devour hope is currently the most complicated token based perk. Could you keep the same general behavior with 3 effects rather than 4?
I don't think it'd be too complicated with the 4, since the first two tokens just add one survivor affected. But maybe I can think of a way to simplify it...
-

First the chatter
Then they scatter
One by one
They lose their fun
A pretty good job so far
Killer perks hit by a car
Slowly they disappear
Because the end is near
While survivors over behavior fawn
Chanting their cry, "Hex: Ruin is gone!"
I'm impressed
