The fov slider is being added (mostly) as an accessibility feature for those with motion sickness. Plenty of people could not play killer without varying levels of nausea because of the FOV. Since thats an entire 50% of a 30$ game they are locked from, it was only fair to add FOV features.
I doubt survivors will have it. Stretched res was basically the same thing and was just unfair.

its tbagging, but for killers.

They need to be able to actually put in high heels in the game. If they're capable of including facial details and emotional graphics of the characters faces then they should be able to give the characters high freaking heels. Just my opinion.
It cant be that hard. I'd imagine the feet are separate entites from the legs, if so they cant be animates separately. Simply putting them on an angle would be simple if thats the case. I dont think they wanna put in the effort for just one skin though. But I would literally just become an ada main if this were added.

I agree that MFT is just bad game design. It should probably just go.
But those other perks you mentioned... SB, adrenaline, hope and overcome. SB just guarantees to reach a loop, does nothing if you arent actively losing distance to manage it. Adrenaline is a reward for surviving, warranting its power. Hope as well. Overcome is decent but is generally not worth picking over more versatile options. Also dead hard is just a trash anti tunnel perk now that happens to synergize with MFT. I'll give you lithe though... its so easy to use for the same power as an SB that the survivor had to actively manage the whole chase. Wish it were harder to use but its just a tile chainer anyways.
-
I think you might just not enjoy survivor. I cant really think of anything on the killer end that just directly makes looping unfun (beyond braindead antiloop). In fact I see more things that enhance gameplay with more options and things to think about in chase. You feel the game is killer sided and I respect your opinion, but you did kind of imply wesker is overpowered. You even said that doing generators, something that makes you win, causes you to feel "depressed". I just dont think you like the core survivor gameplay.

Its either gonna be unchanged forever or absolutely gutted by next years anni.
-
- ambush should be basic attack (its literally programmed as an extended lunge)
- ambush should charge up a little faster/slow you instead of stopping you
- combat straps basekit NOW
- 4m/s crouched
- bring back 24m TR piggy
- traps should instakill you if you try to leave with it on even if unactivated. Late game piggy forever.

A conditional 3% haste perk is the end of the world but 10-50% extra speed from add ons is fair 🙂
"conditional" ah yes. Being injured. That thing that happens for half the chase that is achieved through survivors FAILING.
At least that speed has to build up and is very punishing if you miss. One bad rush and the chase is lost... mft just automatically grants you extra chasetime on non chase oriented killers.

Add another overhyped "mUsT NeRf" new perk to the pile next to Fogwise, Hyperfocus, and Bloodrush.
Fair enough. But those perks didnt make M1 killers unplayable.

Survivors aren't the ones complaining lol this forum is full of killers complaining that they go against sweaty swfs apparently every single game and frequently requesting survivor nerfs as a result. Killers also have the option to lobby shop, survivors don't. It's more likely that this killer dodges certain lobbies until they find easier ones. And I feel comfortable saying this because you can search for past discussions on this forum regarding lobby dodging and see for yourself how popular it is. BHVR don't need to mess with SBMM, they have killers messing with it enough.

Skill floor isn't an excuse for a character to be objectively over tuned
Thats not what I'm saying though. And also you cant just say hes objectively overtuned without anything to back it up. I'm saying that his basekit is fine because its powerful through your skill, and can be countered to equal effect through skill as well. Essentially boiling down to the better player coming out on top... which is how games should work.
Blights easy to pick up and see value with but very hard to learn to use effectively. Anyone can just use rushes for map mobility and be an m1 killer in chase, but playing like that will just make you a better sadako. Actually playing blight is difficult and rewarding for both sides, anything a blight can do can be shut down but a good survivor and vice versa. Without addons. ######### ring.
-
I think MFT should go. Not because I think tis op but just because of its effects across the roster. The lower you go, the more you suffer. Also huntress and trickster just straight up lose at tall wall gyms if you dont play really well.
-
they will like, crouch in a line or something.
-
Cross progression requires cooperation from EVERY platform involved. It can be tedious to get that to happen, when there are more important things that need your attention. Like game balance, upcoming releases, marketing, bugfixes etc etc etc.
-
If making a killer takes 12 months, I genuinely do not understand how killers like knight and mid merchant make it through the playtesting phase without everyone complaining about the gameplay. Did not one playtester try 3 genning with knight or mid merchant???? And how did nobody find out that they can just drop their power and FORCE someone to leave?? Or did everyone do all those things, but bhvr was so far into developing them that they didnt want to fully rework them?

Any tips?
You can pretty easily bait a swing by faking a vault. Just make it look like you are gonna vault it in a scenario where lunging would hit you mid vault, then just dont vault.

I have skills to counter it. I just want to bugs fixed. Simple. Plus with speed add-ons sometimes you can't even react before get hit.
It just shocking me how you can defend this bug lol.
So you admit that it has skill based counterplay, but still want it removed just because its a bug? I guess something being unintended automatically means it must go.

There are bugs that exist in the game for long, and this is one of them. They don't know how to make it properly for him to not slide like he does. It's not indended to work as it does, and it's bs.
Its intended now. They once said they were going to remove it and since everyone hated that idea they didnt. If they intend for it to stay, its intended.

Hug Tech is not intended as said by devs and allows him to get hits he is not supposed at all to get. They need to fix it properly as well.
Plenty of bugs become features in games. Being on the nether roof is a bug and thats a staple of minecraft. Besides hug tech is the basis for so many skilled techs that stem from it. Its not like its overpowered anyhow. If you see him doing it you can just run away from the loop, drop the the pallet etc. And if hes just using it to save a token then you can just play around him normally.
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
Nobody is asking to nerf his base-kit lol. People are just asking to nerf his add-ons and fix his bugs. And he deserves these nerfs.
Even if thats true i dont think BHVR would see it the same way. They'd see "blight has most votes for nerfs? ok 3 rush tokens..." and so on.

Also, his Hug Tech shouldnt be a thing, other than that, yeah his addons.
Community survey. I disagree about hug tech, its unintended yeah but its not broken. Its really good on filler pallet loops but there you can just drop the pallet or run away. outside of that its just used to save a token/do some crazy double back moonrush or something
-
It can be, depending on the survivors. Hard meta, constant callout navy seals are very hard to beat.

It still makes the loop a lose-lose for Survivor as the Killer can just bounce off of the stuff in the background and continue the chase. If Blight was forced to swing to engage in bug tech then it would be less unfair.
Also both Blight and Nurse should both have their token recovery normalized to after fatigue is over, including after completing the break a pallet animation for Blight specifically.
The only way Blight's bugs in his favor would have a case for not being fixed is if he was made 110(4.4) basekit while keeping rushes at 230(9.2). The few and far between bugs against Blight don't even come close to preventing normal wins. This isn't some bottom of the barrel Killer scraping by for kills, its one of the few Killers I would argue desire the title of 'free-win killer' (or more accurately autopilot results in more than 75% win rate in normal matchmaking). If these were niche bugs in Doctor's favor I'd be less annoyed at their existence. Sadly only the the more powerful killers seem to get bugs in their favor (bugtech, Oni hitting behind himself, Wesker grabbing people at vaults instead of slapping them, Spirit's audio being counterplayable then bugged into not working, Plague PWYF not losing stacks on the infecting puke even though it still can damage, and likely more I can't think of off the top of my head).
For one, he actually does need to swing for hug tech value at filler pallets. Which can easily be countered by just running the other way, dropping the pallet, or just leaving the loop. He is absolutely not a free win killer against decent survivors who understand how to counter him. Also, what do you mean 75% WR? What counts as a win? last we saw, his killrate was at 61%. Those statistic are from the gen kick meta as well, when stall was so overbearing 3 gens became unwinnable? I'd actually imagine its a dropped a small amount since the current meta is weaker. Hes only free win when you hard tunnel...... like every single decent killer in the game.
-
I literally cant with those people. I dont care how strong he is, hes got counterplay thats equally as powerful and fun. He only needs addon nerfs.
-
While I'd love to stop buttering off of everything, fixing it would probably lead to the death of many slide techs.
-
Give me generator Osu or give me death

Jolt is currently broken, as it makes survivors scream when it triggers. I also seem some killers run Plaything with Hex: Pentimento. Which naturally slows down the game, as survivors can be forced to cleanse totems which means they're not doing gens.
Also maybe the game isn't into a regression meta any more. I see a lot more killers use perks like Corrupt Intervention, Deadman's Switch, Deadlock and Thrilling Treamors. Which in a solo survivor environment is not that easy to counter due to lack of co-ordination. Pain Resonance is still meta as well. It's just that regression isn't as big anymore, but slowdown perks are more prevalent than they were before.
Pop goes the Weasel also got buffed recently.
Yeah I agree the game shouldnt be about regression, I was trying to understand the recent spike in unfun play. Holding M1 the whole games no fun for anyone and neither is waiting for the bar to go down.
-
And theres also no regression in the game either. If you remove most of the options a killer has to slow down a game, then tunneling becomes more desirable. Bit of an oversight there.

Aim dressing isn't a bug, and neither are 360's.
fair enough. the point was that unintended mechanics can lead to skillful gameplay features lol im just stupid.
-
MFT - Big chase extension, the stronger killers can ignore it.
SB: anti tunnel. Safety net. Chase extension. Every single killer is affected greatly. Can be triggered at any moment if used properly.

give me 1 auric cell per devotion

the game is too surviller sided you guys nerf killivor

So it's okey to abusing bug for you?
360s abuse aim dressing. Is abusing a bug okay for you?
If it adds depth and skill, it being a bug doesnt justify its removal. Bugs become features all the time across gaming. being on the nether roof in minecraft is a staple of the game and its a bug. Blights buggy tot he point that using the bugs in the right ways is a form of skill for him.
-
petition to make fearmonger 15s of exh and change the blindless to oblivious (i want my jumpscares)
-
Nah they should give him the wesker/larry treatment. For every survivor at like madness 2, you get a ~15% faster activation on shock treatment.
-
I'd like a special effect on my items. Like a rosegold tinted flashlight beam, some little red fireworks on using all of my toolbox. that kind of stuff.
-
Blight doesnt need any nerfs, just his addons. He takes a lot of skill to play and counter, he only wins if he is the better player. Which i think we can agree is how video games should work.
Also no lets not remove hug tech. He'd be useless at so many loops.
-
He takes skill though... charging makes you slower than the survivors. Its also very punishing if you miss while being easy to dodge if you dont charge it fully. He moves faster in dash if you charge it more, so it encourages prediction so you get max value. Plus if you see him coming you can just dodge, unless he predicts you which means you lost the mindgame so you deserve to get hit.
you can literally remove the portals. if he senses you breaking it, all it does is get him into a chase if he wasnt already in one. And if he was then theres no logical reason for him to leave it.

There's nothing about it in the patch notes
eh the patch notes are like that sometimes. The surge bugfix/shadowbuff wasnt mentioned either.
-
someone else might have triggered it previously and it ran out before you noticed. I use the perk in all my builds and have noticed no issues.
-
Its incredibly difficult. you really need to play the battle of attrition with the pallets, creating deadzones. If you are being led into a spot with a few really good loops, and you think it'll take more than 20s to get the pallet down, leave. Take the chases that are easy, get pallets down fast, tunnel if you have to and hopefully you can get a 2k.
-
Yeah, im experiencing it too. the delay gets so bad that sometimes i wonder if i left my vpn on (spoilers I didnt)

Ds is garbage. Of the record was close but it basically gets countered by 1 hit. Still has good effects to help it out. A tier for me
DS is still plenty good. Basekit bt guarantees any pallet within 44m, so you'll go down looping. You just cant be braindead with it anymore you need actually think about your pathing.
