Doc is annoying with spamming, but I've met amazing mains who play with such skill (not static blasting my arse off) and those are fun. When I'm left guessing whether or not pallets are real and I don't hear him at all, it's way more interesting. I don't normally like doc or freddy, but when you meet a player that is cunning and sneaky it's awesome lol :)!!
-
What a great post!! This is a game, it's meant to be fun, and if you need an excuse to use perks then you're missing the point ;w; You don't owe players anything (but that doesn't be mean pls respect each other lol) and you can use perks and moris like you should! I only get mad when people force me into their perk powers (like body blocking me when they have ds or tbagging to use dead hard, just provoking in general on either side)
-
no name ideas, but maybe they can make 'jelly' filled donuts for the queen. Collect it during trials and then put ranibow sprimkle on it
-
In solo q, I teabag when I need help or if I need to help another survivor. Or just playing around. A lot of the time if we spawn near a corrupt intervention gen, we tbag and point before leaving, and it always makes me giggle :). As long as it isn't done to people on a hook or dying, just do it responsibly. Man, I sound like a granny lol! But it's just hard to perceive a nice tbag versus an evil one
-
If I thought the game was great, I'll either sacrifice myself or get their attention to leave a high value item with them, as a sign of thanks. I had a swf team that had ormond, I'm a rank 18 killer and played as plague, and they were amazing at evading and running away, so I just let them have the win. They would not leave. They waited until the timer was almost 1/4 away from egc and I was standing in the far corner waiting. I was bitter, but that was mostly due to the fact that I am a high rank and I suck lol! So, in short, waiting at the gates just to tbag is not very polite, but if you want them to see you to give away items or just let them know you're playful, do 1-2 speed vaults and if they don't come, just leave them be. We are all here to have fun, but I'm sure they have had bad experiences by the gates. Kindness goes a long way <3!!
-
I want to be in the game and have my own perks just because I wear cutesy outfits, dresses, skirts, etc and want a character like that. Me wearing my skirt and cute pink cardigan and hanging off a meat hook?? I get to scream into a mic and have people animate my likeness into my fav game? yes please. Also hug animations because i want to get murked halfway through a hug at least twice lol
-
I run sb, kindred, self care (in case killer packs franklin's demise), and urban evasion for speedy crawling against stealthy killers and the hag! I also think that kindred is one of the most important perks in the game for solo q, but deliverance is even better if you can stay hidden and get that first unhook before you're caught :)! I love your build btw!!

Sprint burst is not fine it just waste the killers time for no reason and dead hard isn't brain dead I've seen some godly dead hards
I get where you are coming from, but it's only what? 3 seconds? And 40 seconds of exhaustion? I have played against a lot of sprint burst users (in custom and online) and it was the least of my worries. My advice is to continue following them. Once they have used pallets and windows, it comes down to timing. Getting rid of sb won't make survivors less intelligent, it's a useful speed boost against killers that usually walk faster than us. Also, this is one of my first comments without smiley faces and exclamation points, I didn't wanna seem sarcastic so I'll add one now :)!
-
dude imagine loading into the macmillan map and suddenly you cant move and then u see dio walking up id lose my shi

I'm sorry that some players can be extra toxic, but when I see a body block I get annoyed but also... love their altruism, as long as they aren't farming! Yeah, they're next to go on the hook, but hey, I dig the cojones they got lol :)! I have had some mean teammates and gone against scary survivors, but I have also met really mean killers, too. Everyone experiences aggressive players, and while it's best to ignore it and move on, I understand getting upset. I had a horrible match early on in my dbd career and I played as ghostie and used a mori on all of the survivors. I felt awful about it afterwards, because it's just not my play style. My advice is to do your best and not let them get to you, yeah? So, on that note, good luck in your next matches and I hope they're fun :)!!
-
I blocked messaging because I'm a baby and get nervous when I get 'gg' sent to my PMs, but threats are so scummy. I'm sorry, OP, I hope the next game you play is nicer and more fun. Stay safe and don't let them get to you too much <3!!

He's correct, Urban puts your crouch walk at the same speed as normal walking. You can actually boost your NORMAL walking speed by using fixated if your trying to move around while saving SB.
Oh wow, that's great to know!! I'm glad I commented on here, I have Nancy so I'll start leveling her up :)!

Urban Evasion is not faster than walking. It is exactly the same speed.
Walking speed: 56.5%
Urban Evasion tier 3: 56.5%
Really??? I always pass other survivors walking when I urban evade, maybe it's just the placebo effect lol! I'm too used to it by now, though, and I do my best to be helpful and know that my worst plays are never due to UD, mostly me being dumb lol! But thank you for the clarification :0!

I use urban evasion because I pack sprint burst, so if I'm still exhausted I 100000% run to where I need to go next, but SB is important to keep me away from that hook and not 'wasting time' although I think it's rude to view it that way. I urban around the map to generators because it is faster than walking, and leaving scratch marks is the last thing I want to do. I am now super worried I'm a bad teammate, even though I always try to save others and work on gens, and I get so anxious when they run around without letting me heal them. I have had teammates that leave me on the hook until I'm close to dying because they were busy with gens, and that's my biggest fear every match. I run kindred for that reason, and also to know when I should go for the save. I love urban evading, it's awesome when I'm doing a gen and need to crouch behind a tree and such, but I also want people to understand that I don't want to use up a SB when I'm 2 feet from the hook, and I'm sorry for that. I will always save you and help with generators but my goodness it feels weird being chased and not having that little NYOOOM effect, y'know?
-
I'm on console and every time I play killer I get PC players that use a flashlight while I'm striding over to them lol. I'm not gonna turn down credit for being an idiot, I definitely play stupid (and live stupid), but PC players are not immune to stupidity. Nobody is. Embrace it :)!!
-
I am so sorry this happened :(!! I hate when I get a swf team because a lot of the time, they leave me on the hook to rush generators and then provoke the killer. Not all the time, of course, I'm sure I've had some fantastic teammates in a SWF, but I hate seeing someone on my team bullying other players or the killer. I don't have post game chat, but if I did, I would have stood up for you. If someone accidentally 'camps' (which you definitely didn't do, bless your soul lol <3) and explain it in chat and still bet harassed, I don't know how I would react. I also use whispers when I play killer, and I definitely look like a lost puppy following them :)!! Good luck in your next matches and I hope they're more fun than this one!
-
I adore a big slice of pineapple pepperoni pizza with garlic dipping sauce for the crust!! It's such a sweet, citrus-y burst of flavor that compliments the cheese and tomato, and goodness me, the pepperoni!! If you aren't a fan that's fine, but I always tell people to try it before hopping on the bandwagon :)
-
I finger point to entertain the killer if I see them stalking me before running away, but that pallet stunning and flashlight paired with it is kind of provoking them, yeah? Why else would you do that? Showing your profile won't fix that and I'm sorry she did that, but yes, I am a survivor main but I respect the killer and realize there is a person just trying to have fun on the other side of the screen. I can't stop you from doing it, but it can be seen as rude. I like bringing a flashlight and shining it on totems and the exit gates to (hopefully) make them laugh-- I did that with huntress once and she and I played hide and seek after I adore her lol <3!!

When I play Clown I don’t have a specific build, but it’s usually a build built around Coulrophobia and Mangled (either Sloppy Butcher or Sulphuric Vial).
As survivor one build I use a LOT is Bond, Open Handed, Leader, and Botany Knowledge, so I can always be a helpful teammate, get the info I need on chases, heal others fast, be healed fast, and when somebody needs to cleanse or open a gate or chest I wait by them.
I love when I'm doing a gen and hear my teammate just... scream. It always makes me so alert and I'm looking for that violet cloud of tonic at ALL TIMES it's awesome! I had a Clown that slashed me, I ran to a rock and waved at him to look as I used the ghost flashlight and he shook his head yes, downed me, and hit the rock where the ghost was. He was protecting me from the spooky ghost, I miss him <3

On my Felix I run Iron Will, Inner Strength, Sprint Burst and Decisive Strike. Solo survivor at red ranks cause SWF ruins the game to me.
For killer it depends on who I'm playing. I'm a nurse main but have been experimenting with different killers a lot. Right now I'm playing a lot of Legion, favorite build is enduring, spirit fury, pop and BBQ.
I also prefer solo! It's fun not knowing what to expect and where to go imo. Also leads to making new friends (or enemies)

@MadLordJack said:
Overall? Kindred, Botany Knowledge, Desperate Measures, Self Care. It's basically the build to keep everyone at full health all the time.
I've also been experimenting with some Slinger builds lately, and I've been enjoying BBQ, Sloppy Butcher, Nurses Calling and Deathbound. A wierder one is Dark Devotion, Trail of Torment, Dragons Grip and Make Your Choice.
Dragon's Grip is a lovely perk, isn't it? Blight had a surprising build, I love his personal perks and his power so much. And kindred is my favorite aside from urban, since there's no excuse for not going to the hook!! For the team :)!

For Survivor, my usual build is Kindred (solo player) +Iron Will + Borrowed Time + (Dead Hard/WGLF/PTS/UB), pretty standard stuff. For fun times, Pebble and Head On are just the best :D Another fun build I like is Lithe+QnQ+Dance With me, lets you just disappear through the window^^
My standard Myers build is Surge, Corrupt, BBQ and Brutal Strength, works just super well but it´s kinda basic, it´s for relaxed games.
Scratched Mirror, Boyfriends Memo, Haunted Ground, Devour Hope, Noed and Make your Choice on Indoor maps is fun as hell :D
Haven´t run a meme build on Trapper for a while. Surge/Corrupt/Whispers/Stbfl is my golden standard.
Many nice builds mentioned here, and cool recolors @GoodBoyKaru !
Your GF build is pretty good @megswifey. Personally, I propably couldn´t live without Corrupt on him but I guess with Whispers you can make it work :D
Thank you!! Your Myers build is amazing! I considered getting him since his perks are really nice, but I should watch the films first (I haven't seen ANY horror films, I got into the game from a friend and they told me the plots lol!) Ghostie is my best boy, I never give people final hook and I can teabag with them at the gates <3 I need to learn how to use dead hard since I can never figure out how to activate it or I pack it when I get a match with Bubba or Billy

On Survivor, with the killers i have been getting these days i'm not even ashamed to say i run Unbreakable, DS (aka smol pp), BT and DH.
If i don't get that many tunnelers or sluggers i mostly run Adrenaline, DH, BT, WGLF/Iron Will
On killer side i mainly play Pig and Spirit
Spirit: Shadowborn, PGTW, BBQ, STBFL
Pig: M&A, Sloppy Butcher, PGTW, BBQ
Hey, size doesn't matter it's about how you use it!! lol :)

Okay so, here are all my current builds for everyone that I play right now (my survivor build is basically identical on everyone):
Survivor
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/S14S217BD6AO/image.png
The medkit lets me heal myself twice, sprint burst is very good, iron will because ######### you spirit, and ds because ######### you tunnelers. Shirtless David because, well- look at him :3
But replace the David with anyone I have P3 50 all perks and it works just as good.
Wraith
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/UCTFPKXG6VLB/image.png
A combination of Windstorm and Swift Hunt helps me uncloak faster, so I can use his SuperLunge at loops easier, and traverse the map easier. PGTW is a great regression perk, BBQ lets me know where to go, Sloppy on Wraith is beautiful for slowing the game, since they want to be healed so your easy first hits don't become easy downs, and Mindbreaker basically kills off Dead Hard and Sprint Burst from a gen. It's really underrated.
Nurse
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/DN28JZ8ET7AG/image.png
Double recharge because, well; it's double recharge. RuinDying because, well, it's RuinDying on a high mobility killer. BBQ helps me know where to go and when, and Shadowborn helps me not throw up as her.
Bubba
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/U9P0BRDF8KAC/image.png
Extra speed add-ons allow me to catch up to people significantly easier and make the chainsaw so much more deadly. Same with extra time per charge. RuinDying because- well- RuinDying. Bamboozle removes Bubba's one hard counter- windows. BBQ for the same reason as usual.
Freddy
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QLGCEHVVEROS/image.png
Blindness add-on because ######### your OOO. STBFL is godly since Freddy's an M1 killer. Surge is really, really helpful too. Then, the BBQ/PGTW combo on Freddy? Basically wins you games by itself.
Pyramid Head (Daddy Dorito)
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/PCA7ESU9P4RZ/image.png
RuinUndying because- yeah. Double range add-ons makes your POTD even more deadly than it already is. I'm All Ears because wallhacks which, on a killer who can hit through walls, shouldn't ever- ever- be underestimated. BBQ finally for more points and to know which gens to pressure.
So many RuinDyingBBQ cores; I know I'm really creative.
That Daddy Dorito build is CRUEL... I love it! Im all ears is my fav and probably great for his rites of judgement attack! I'm a fan of undying with Mr. Goopy Blight (only in his aristocrat cosmetic, bc my goodness what a cutie) and using blood favour and haunted ground to make the match more ~spicy~ And thank you for giving the public what they want-- David, shirtless AND showing them calves lol!

For survivor I'm currently running the classic locker houdini: detective's hunch, quick and quiet, inner strength, head on. I'm occasionally a big fan of peebles though.
For killers:
My Blight is currently mixing it up with the Iri blight tag and BBQ, Pop, Discordance, and Tinkerer.
My Bubba is a complete madman who's addicted to blight serum and is running BBQ, Pop, Ruin, Surveillance. That's right! Ruin and Pop in the same build! I TOLD YOU HE'S A MADMAN!
My Legion is feeling a bit mean and is running Ruin, Undying, TOTH, and Tinkerer.
My Doc knows nothing but impossible skill checks: Distressing, Lullaby, Unnerving, and Sloppy Butcher (no Overcharge).
My Freddy is hard memeing and is using BBQ and Overcharge. That's it. No addons.
WOAH!! I faced a Bubba with the serum last week!! He nyoomed over to me when I was the last survivor and I couldn't stop laughing at the animation and the lil 'bwomp' sound he made when he hit the wall!! That doc build already has me screaming, you don't need to shock anyone to find their location with that... *furiously scribbles down notes for when I practice doctor*

Oh okay I guess I'm not a rank 1 killer main I understand completely.
https://steamcommunity.com/id/Karu_TC/
That's my steam profile. Karu_TC being my twitch (that i've talked about on here many times before), as well as obviously sharing my name "Karu", which isn't exactly common. Looking under my previous aliases oin steam there's also "Wraith's Simp" which, if you check my Twitter (also under Karu_TC) I've talked about simping for Wraith before, "Karu", or "Default Blendette", and I've been open about me being a Blendette main when I play Survivor. Just in case you don't think that's me.
So yeah, I guess I don't play much killer. @MusicNerd_TC @JawsIsTheNextKiller @Aneurysm I've lied to all of you I guess I'm still a survivor main.
I don't know you very well but you are quickly becoming one of my fav members, along with the others <3!! DS isn't the best perk, and I find that using it just makes the killer come after me the second the stun is over. So, I use perks that help me get away before I can get hooked or attacked, because I know that most killers expect DS at this point.

On an aside I'm not sure why it being on Haddonfield is relevant, if anything that's one of the more survivor friendly maps.

-
I'm hosting a costume party on discord!! I'm gonna mail candy to the winners lol <3 Happy Halloween everyone, stay safe and have fun!!
-
I play solo q and a lot of my teammates are wonderful :)! I don't think it's valid to be upset with someone for getting downed within the first minute of the match-- some people spawn directly across from the killer and have no time to react, other times the killer just finds you at the wrong time, yadda yadda, the point of the game is survive but sometimes you get on that hook and that's ok! I am in red/purple and while i work on any gen I can find, I usually end up getting chased a lot and end up lower on the board than my teammates, but as long as I know I played well I'm content. I hope it gets better for you and that matches are more fun, since I have had my fair share of teammates that don't do objectives or just mess around/grief! So, good luck and have fun :)!!
-
My strategy is being too dumb to realize I'm stuck in the hill glitch and thinking I'm just a god tier gamer. And what a great post <3!! We are all human-- We want to have fun playing the game, and the devs hope for the same but have to work hard for our approval. I personally just enjoy, well, everything in the game! I sometimes stand in a corner to see the details of Meg's face and also how the light reflects off my charms because I have the brain of a baby and oOoOoOOh sHinYY. Anyways, staying civil and positive is key!! It's been hard even for me, especially with so many less than lovely matches, but I gotta remember that we are all here to play a game that people work hard on for us! So, to players: Good luck in your next matches and have fun! And for the mods/employees: Thank you for everything, and don't stress too much :)!
-
A lot of people think it's just because of the double bp event, and that it might be survivor mains going to killer to get more points, so they use the tactics that we see in low rank matches. It's a pain, but unless you have the perks to counter it I would advise taking a break or just waiting it out. I get where you're coming from-- I had so many matches where my teammates died in the first 5 minutes because of camping and slugging, and even a few DCs. Good luck in your next matches, though, and I hope they're more fun :)!

That's literally what perks are designed for. To be used in situations where your basekit wouldn't do the job.
Killers don't exist to make sure you have fun. They exist to kill the survivors.
I understand that, I just mean that it sucks to have to use perk slots in the rare case they camp and tunnel. I know they aren't there to make sure I have fun, I don't expect that from them at all. I use my perks to evade and escape from the killers, but if they resort to slugging it's over for me. I'm not mad at them for that, I really understand that it's a strategy, I just personally don't bring perks for it because a lot of red rank killers use different, more effective strategies that not only give more points, but are also harder to counter (Like bamboozle, tinkerer, etc.) I didn't mean to upset anyone with my previous statement, there are just a lot of nice perks that can aid everyone in the match rather than unbreakable, ds, dead hard, and bt, although I think bt is a fantastic perk with different builds.

There is a penalty to it. It's called Decisive Strike.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1716071#Comment_1716071
It's not a big problem. That's like saying "survivors doing generators and looping is a big problem".
Also, LOL at "killers are way too strong". Now I know you're new. Survivors have held the edge in this game since the very beginning. They have all the resources they need to never even get downed if they do it right, and don't screw up during loops.
It's not killers being strong. It's you being bad at the game. Plain and simple.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/202115/tunneling
Sure, make tunneling bannable. Right after you ban survivors for getting a gen done in the first 30 seconds.
Think about what you're saying. Also - play killer. Clearly you're a rank relatively new survivor, and don't really know how the video game works.
Let me ask you - if you spawned into a game, and immediately next to you was the killers Hex totem, are you not going to destroy it? Are you going to just leave it alone? Nobody is expecting you to leave it and not destroy it, but if you expect killers not to take every advantage they can get, will you reciprocate and leave their ruin/devour etc totem alone when you spawn right next to it?
Didn't think so.
So, we can ban killers for tunneling as soon as survivors are banned for destroying Hex totems they spawn next to.
I don't think it should be a ban worthy offense, but having to bring perks to counter slugging and tunneling rather than more fun options is just a pain. I don't have Laurie and don't plan on buying her since DS works once, and killers tend to wait a minute before picking up survivors, which is where unbreakable or soul guard comes in, taking up another perk slot for this occasion. I'm not trying to sound entitled (At least I hope I don't sound that way ;w;) I just hope that by unhooking someone I'm not accidentally killing them.

It was a sarcastic comment and no you weren't being entitled.
I was mainly pointing out the irony that killers "Applying Pressure" was a buzzword entitled survivors used for a very long time until killers listened and now everyone suffers because of it.
As for this event given how the ques' times have changed to having faster killer and slower survivor your getting a lot of entitled survivors playing killers to grind BP in the same way that they complain about constantly on the forums.
I'll repeat it didn't have anything to do personally with you but pointing out the sad ironic state the game is in while using your post as a jumping off point.
That... makes a surprising amount of sense. I hope it gets better, since I've had gen rushing teammates and, y'know, everything I mentioned before lol. I hope it ends soon, that way it can go back to only having the occasional bad match. And that term is new to me-- I stay on the happy side of the forum

Welcome to what people call "Applying pressure" Its what survivors on the forums have been telling killers to do for months if not years and the killers are now listening if you can't tell by all the scummy pressure they try to apply each game.
I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not, and I apologize if I sounded entitled in any way, I just don't understand what is going on since I have been red rank for a good while and just recently have started facing tunnelers, campers, and sluggers literally every match. Not one good match today, all of them have been using these techniques and it's making me so frustrated. I'm not amazing at this game, but I think I play fairly well, and to have huntress stand in front of the hook and throw hatchets randomly to 'find' survivors is so,,, I won't let this make me negative, I won't let that happen, but I'm just upset. Do you have any suggestions other than 'get good' or 'play ____ instead' because it's not the game I hate, it's the event weekend phenonmenon
-
I have had so many awful matches with higher rank killers tho. It's all camping, all tunneling, and absolutely no way to escape a trial because they slug at the end. It's actually made me drop down a whole rank in less than 24 hours, and I'm so close to quitting if its just these awful matches. I hope its just the double bp event, if not, I might have to stop playing! It's insufferable and so... not fun ughhhhhh
-
spine chill, sprint burst, urban evasion, and dead hard. If you do solo q (like me!) I always recommend kindred :)! Have fun and I hope the matches are extra spoooooky!
-
I just like playing the game as is, and if we farm, even better because we can all play around and step away from the competitive mindset! But it sucks to see so much negativity. I had rough matches last night as survivor and nearly rage quit (super rare of me to even consider!!) and then I took a break. I would never take the time to yell at someone in their PMs since I don't have post game chat, but even if I did I would rather just move on and hope for the best in my next match. Also, I have met some killers that are a bit rude and play hardcore defense, and I've met survivors that do nothing but provoke and mess around with the killers for no reason. Everyone can be mean, I've seen it on both sides, but let's not forget the wonderful players who take the time to make sure the game is fair AND fun :)! To the farmers, the casual players, the 'sweaties,' 'gg wp' typers, and just genuinely great sportsmanship minded people, heck, even the ones who hate me, I wish you all the best in your next matches and I hope you have fun <3!
-
I had Clown tunnel me last night and someone unhooked me in struggle while the gate was open, he chased me and killed me. I never had a chance to heal because my teammates would run to a gen and I used my medkit. I carry self care, but he wasn't gonna even let me get 2 feet away from the hook ;w; I lost my rank after that and I said some very mean things to my TV before going to bed lol. Whatever, at least I got those bp for the one frickin gen I did lol!
-
I play on xbox and the plague is one of my fav killers!! I call her vommy mommy and she's so fun-- When survivors wait at pallets, I just kinda bleghh all over them, y'know? And then when they teabag at the gate I get to twirl around and vomit, so it's just a party for everyone. Also her fit is dope, I'd wear that crown if I had money
-
maybe it's because BHVR is giving 50% off all outerwear, flannels, and sweaters
-
My favs are the Blight, Deathslinger, and Oni!! They are all so interesting lore wise and also they're challenging for me to counter, but it's not impossible! Pyramid Head is another one, but rites of judgement when I vault is 1000000+ iq play and i'm basically a dumdum, so I die first lol!
I really hate going against Freddy, Legion, and the chainsaw boys. I don't like having to go to a clock all the way across the map to wake up while doing other objectives, and mending myself every two minutes is so boring, and the fast chainsaw men with the insta downs!!! I can't do it, I get near them by accident and then next thing I know I'm on the ground! I don't mean to offend their mains either, I've met some wonderful players who use these guys, but I don't like the play style too much, I'm sorry <3!!

I don't have Laurie and don't want to level her up for DS in all honesty... I've seena lot of teammates use it only to get tunneled the rest of the match! My advice for camping and tunneling is to just try your best, and if it's a bad match, I hope the next ones are more fun. One way I entertain myself during these matches is by dancing on the hook and struggling as long as I can just to upset them, it's even better when they start hitting me lol. I've heard soul guard is great, since it has multiple pick ups with curses active! A lot of Cheryl's perks seem great, so I'd look into her for these types of matches. And before I get the people saying that I need to bring Unbreakable or smth, I don't prepare for slugging and tunneling, I prepare to avoid the killer altogether haha! So, in short, good luck in your next matches and I hope they're fun and free of negativity :)!!!

does it never happen when cakes are brought for you too?? Every time i see the streamers I get so nervous lol! Not all the time though, just pretty darn common. I recommend cake for yourself or the event cakes if you have any, but the party streamers... *flashbacks to basement bubbas emerging from the shadows* I... I don't want to remember.
