I play solo and never gen rush. I have more fun cleansing, urban evading, and looking for chests. I have been on the hook a few times, waiting for someone to save me and they're all on their own gens which is annoying, but whatever. I think they do it to get out as fast as possible, but I don't find it fun. I want more coop points and like the thrill of the chase!
-
Whenever I notice a killer is having a hard time, I immediately start vaulting and let them take me. It's hard sometimes, and it sucks, but I read a comment that said slugging is a good idea and I don't think it's good game play. If you weren't having fun when they were getting cocky, why would they have fun when you slug/tunnel/camp? And I don't think killers are there for the survivors to use for bp either, I just think it's important to recognize that it's a game, and we all want to have fun <3 I recommend looking at a wall while picking people up, and don't be afraid to step far from pallets during a loop, since they are most likely following the '3 loop then drop' rule that somebody made up. And I don't think flashlight saves are bad at all, it's just obnoxious when you get the survivors that wait around you to save and blind you during a chase like you cant turn away haha. I hope your next matches are fun, and I hope it goes well! Good luck :)!

Aesthetically and just in general, my wifey, Meg. I don't main anyone else, she's my queen <3 As for killers, I adore Talbot's design and lore, everything about him is awesome to me!!
-
I'm a red rank and just finished a match where I was tunneled. I mean, I wear my pink Meg cosmetic, but I was on a gen and ran when killer approached while my teammate stayed on it and they went after me. Then I got unhooked and healed, touched a gen and was chased again. Unhooked again, I was running to safety before I was downed again (I don't have DS) and I was so done but THEN MY KING BILL CAME AND PALLET STUNNED ME OUT <3!!! But yeah, I was just getting my butt kicked anytime I was out in the open. I've had worse tunneling, but this match was not as fun as usual. It happens often for me, they tend to be green or red, and camping is not as often, but when it happens it's a real pain to play against-- I have lost pips for spawning next to the killer and getting camped, it's not my cup of tea.

Well, since everyone's getting called to the principles office, I'd like to throw @TheClownIsKing under the bus to join @megswifey, @Buttercake, @GoodBoyKaru and I'm just gonna stop there because I don't want this to go on forever.
Wait, did I just imply that a school principle was going to push you into traffic? Uh... Pretend I made up some hilarious excuse. Ha ha. Ha.
Put me under the bus, I want to feel again. And this made my heart melt this is my new favorite thread y'all are so kind <3!!

OH MY GOSH IVE NEVER BEEN MENTIONED LIKE THIS BEFORE <3!! Thank you, I was telling my friends about the forums and how I've seen some really kind, funny users and you were mentioned!! Also Buttercake, that fanfic was *chef's kiss* tasteful. And thank you for the mention, you are such a great person and I'm glad to see all of this positivity on here!!! So, everyone reading, good luck in your next matches and have fun :)!
-
Hey!! I have been playing a little longer than you, and I found that the higher I made it in rank, the happier I felt about basic achievements! And I know what you mean about crummy matches, but I've met some awesome teammates and killers! It takes patience, but they're out there :)! Also, I made a post about positivity and listed encounters from one week's worth of dbd memories, so feel free to check those out <3 Good luck in your next matches, and I hope they're fun!!
-
I love undying as both a survivor and a killer!! I use it with blood favour and then put two haunted grounds in there for fun lol. I think it's really good and it takes up a perk slot with another hex, so it challenges me to focus more on the survivors, since I won't be able to bring all of the regular perks.

Someone explain why allowing survivors to skip what should be the most difficult part of the game with a key is fine? Someone explain why iribelt is fine. Someone explain why DS Unbreakable is fine. Someone explain why spirit is fine or why object is fine. The answer is that none of them are. All these things INCLUDING moris, are ######### and awful. Yet for some reason the priority ends on nerfing discordance. Welcome to DBD, we all hate it here and nothing makes sense.
Unfortunately, I've had matches where I wish I had DS and Unbreakable, because some killers just have no chill lol. Although a lot of them are less fun to play against, I enjoy the spike of adrenaline when I find out the killer brought an ebony, because then the lockers become my friends <3 unless it's legion, then im dead :)

I love this post. That explains perfectly the reason I play DbD.
All my matches are like this. After all, we, killers and survivors, are just trying to have fun.
Specially when I play survivor with my friends, we always praise the killer in the end chat. And its very surprising, because the most "toxic" killers turns out to actually be a nice person.
People are just used to fight eachother, lets change it and make a healthy community :)
Yayy!!! I agree, even when I have bad matches I know that the person beyond the screen is probably having a great time and that's enough for me lol! And thank you for being kind to the killers, sometimes they default to hating survivors (i can't always blame them) and it's wonderful to have a positive experience :)! Good luck in your next matches, and have fun!!
-
Thank you so much!! Unfortunately I think they've all been claimed since PC has keyboard, but my hands are getting a good workout on xbox lol!

It'd be different if you were being a sneaky rat (not helping at all and staying at hatch when you have the opportunity to save) but even then that's a strategy, but I don't like it. But you were right to not fall for the bait. Some people body camp and slugging is a way to lure you out. I always motion for the survivors to come closer to me in a safe space, but it's not always possible. You're not entitled for that in my opinion, and if your only option is to die or survive, just... get out! That's the point of being a survivor-- And helping teammates is big, so they took advantage of that aspect and you had to decide. That's ok! Don't dwell on it, and I promise it's just one of those stressful matches where it's a bit too serious, y'know? Either way, good luck in future matches and have fun :)! Also, don't take post game chat too seriously, especially when you played correctly lol
-
Sometimes redbubble artists make stuff and maybe custom ink? I'd look around-- They won't be the official pieces, but they're still cute! And what a nice friend you are, I hope you find one and they like it :)!

4E of course sucks for the Killer. Given how rare it happens (and theyre not rubbing it in with the classic tbagging, gg ez ksy pos baby killer) I´m sometimes glad they can enjoy their victory. There´s never case where I could say " Oh I played like a god and they still got out ree". I can usually point out what I should have done differently. When I practice a Killer I don´t usually play, a 4E is what I actually expect for a couple matches.
Depending on the setup and Killer used (I mostly play Killers you will find near the bottom of every Tier list as my mains, namely Trapper, Myers and Clown) sometimes it feels unfair. Playing Killer is unforgiving against good survivors, to the point where you whiff once or chase a survivor for a couple seconds too long, you lost unless they screw up royally.
I only ever get frustrated when they go out of their way to make my match miserable when they manage to beat me or use object.
What a great mindset! I feel the same way as a survivor-- I have to remember the person playing is probably having fun watching that spiky legged thing drag me into the sky lol! And it's good to think about consequences, I have been chased through three gens and I wasn't able to work on more than one which was lame, but I need to either die sooner or hide well. Also, matches where they provoke you are so crummy. I hate when they lead me to pallets and flashlight me before I even do the animation because I'm just like pls,,, pls have mercy lol! Good luck in your next matches and y'know what? I hope you get a 4k, you seem to care about their fun too :)!
-
You'll have to use him with your current rank, but I caught on to his play style pretty fast! Give him a chance, he's a sneaky boy but with some patience you'll be exposing survivors left and right :)! Good luck!!
-
I think they're funny, both as a survivor main and an occasional killer player! It's a pain, but I use kindred for this exact reason. If they decide to help, they all see each other's auras and plan an escape. But the grab in the window and off the hook makes me laugh every time, because the hooked person just enters this weird power pose before going back to screaming
-
I take my matches as they are-- a match. This next one will only be better or worse if I make it that way! And there are plenty of games other than DbD, so if it's not your cup of tea then give something else a shot. I hope that last part didn't sound mean lol, I just think a game is meant to be fun, not super stressful.

Every once in awhile I break out basement Bubba just to see how it goes, and every time I’ve done it (granted it’s only been like four times, so small sample size) the survivors always do some bizarre rescue plan that ends in a 4K.
No one ever just pumps out gens, it’s always trading up. I start with one, someone goes for the save and fails, and then the others try to save the two. And these are red rank survivors mind you, no clue what the deal is with that.
I need that basement chest dude I will DIE for the low tier toolbox inside it

Yeah don't wish me luck lol, there is none with this game lol
Yes there is-- when I wish you ALL the luck I can :)!! So SUPER EXTRA GOOD LUCK IN YOUR NEXT MATCHES! Don't give up either, it took a lot of deaths for me to learn how to properly hit a skill check and now I'm dying... a little bit less lol
-
Maybe it's just me being a dummy, but I can't see him well in the cosmetic. You'd think a tall man with wings and a scorched mask would be, y'know, bright on a dark map but he's not lol! I bought it for him and was still able to get some jump scares in :)
-
As a survivor I understand your match making issues-- I was put with green/brown ranks as a red rank and it messed me up. A lot of the time I'll run and save them, do gens, etc., but one time I was hooked and my teammates were all less than 10 m from me and sat in the bushes. They didn't know what to do, so I died on my first hook. Frustrating, but I've been there before. It was just crummy to have 3 people sit and wait for me to die lol
-
Survivor! I love cooperating with people and helping others, and outsmarting the killer is always fun!!

Honestly, it'll happen sooner than you think. Give yourself a few months of playing safe but pushing the boundaries and you'll be the bane of nearly every killer.
Of course, it's up to your teammates to capitalise on that, but who can blame them for watching the show from the sidelines?
You sound like a main character, oh my gosh. And I'll follow your advice, I am slowly getting better at window vaults in a chase and such!! Good luck in your next matches and have fun :)!

My xbox,,, is the issue. Typing on a keyboard is easy, but I play on xbox and my controller was CRYING lol

Thanks for trying to keep this positive, with whats been happening this past year I'm glad we can sit and enjoy ourselves for a minute.
My highlight was a Ghostface game where everyone played godlike. Real hard fought and full of twists. A double unbreakable comeback, the whole thing ended with me snagging a 4k with bloodwarden. Real happy with it.
Oh wow! I can only hope one day my survivor play can be called 'godlike' but I don't know how to loop ;w; lol! Also, I'm happy to hear that! Blood warden is a rare treat that makes me anxious af, because I know my team needs me but that gate is inescapable, so I gotta choose survival or altruism!

Wait, was that match against Pig on MacMillan Estate??? And were you playing as Dwight? Because that sounds almost exactly like how one of my matches went this week...
Nope, but my match had a Dwight as well! I play as a pink Meg, but recently I started playing as her in prestige to be a rat lol! But what a coincidence!!

It's nice to see some positivity coming from your matches. I've been doing this myself as Ghostface all weekend. Going into matches not looking to win, but just to enjoy myself. Most survivors joined in the fun with us just messing around with each other. If they had fun in their match, my job was done. There's far too much toxicity in the game, and if my one game can make them feel happy again, I'm happy too.
This is my mentality, too! I always appreciate a fun match, and even if I get rude players, at least I got to hit the walls as the blight and screech, y'know?

I was in the Old West against a Clown this morning. This guy was a monster. He seemed to be every where at once. He got us down to the last two and decided that he was a bit out of our league and let us farm.
I've met some really fun Clowns-- One time at the swamp, he threw tonic at me as I danced in circles for him :)! I'm glad he eased up after a bit, I've been in matches where I'm like '??? HOW DID U GET HERE' so I feel ya lol!

I had a match as Felix where GF and I tea-bagged the whole match! It was so funny. He was bagging around the map so I knew he was chill. I went to him and bagged back...and that was the entire game! 🌈
TWO FELIX AND GHOSTFACE TEA BAG STORIES IN ONE NIGHT??? I'm so jealous!! This is adorable <3!

It's always so nice to see a comment from you! And I hope the same thing, I've seen too many upsetting posts and I had to share. Good luck in your matches and I hope they're extra fun for being such a good sport :)!

Thank you for posting something wholesome and fun. I've been seeing so many negative and toxic posts lately that I stopped playing for a few days, but not because of the event itself or the devs. It was mostly because of the awfulness of the community and I'm glad to see someone post something good. One of the last survivor matches I played (a few days ago) was against a Ghost Face while I was playing Felix and we just tbagged for about five minutes! It was the only good match of the day.
Absolutely!! And it's a double whammy-- Ghostface and Felix?? Teabagging? Perfection lol! And I'm sorry that your interaction with him was the only good game, I hope when you come back you have a better time!

I've said the exact same thing even worse now survivors get timer banned for toxic killers and the killer gets quitter bonus na get this trash removed
I get matches where they're just standing there... menacingly! But really, I only get extra mad when they HIT ME as if I'm not gonna struggle harder. I always go in for the save when I can, even if I get hooked at least I got my teammate outta there :)
-
Sorry to hear about your crummy experience with survivors thus far. I always try to play in a way that everyone can have fun, so I try not to provoke the killers nor my teammates. I'm not going to say to have fun playing out of spite, maybe take a break? I've had really rude killers before but it's never made me bring a team along with a key build and some flashlights, y'know? It's just a game, and if people are mean then that's their fault, but don't let their awful attitude rub off on you. Good luck in your next matches, and if you meet a pink meg that points at you when she sees you, that's me lol <3!
-
You get people in a reverse trap when the last gen is getting repaired, open the gate, and if they just try and leave their head, y'know, does the thing that kills you. It's happened a lot to me, but I don't die without booping the snoot AT LEAST once >:)
-
I used the serum as Meg and it literally looks like I'm pissing myself and I think I actually go slower lol
-
I can't speak for OP, but as a bisexual myself this game can be a bit of a disaster, especially in end game chats when I play on PC. I think representation is wonderful, and it doesn't necessarily have to be pushed super hard-- Like maybe in the lore a character is mentioned as being married to a person of the same sex, and they don't go out of their way to be like 'didja see that? We made them gay now give us money' y'know? It's a horror game, I get it, but lore is what makes people connect with the characters and play as them. Not everyone feels this way, but a lot of people do. It's just refreshing to see some representation, just to know that it's close to your own reality. Felix didn't necessarily have to have a girlfriend in his lore, but it makes him more interesting in that regard, since he has a child back in the real world and a woman he loves. Plenty of guys can connect with that, and I think it's a good way to make people connect. Sorry if this sounds silly, TL;DR being represented is nice, and it doesn't have to be over the top :)
-
We all know Meg is a fast bisexual, that's why I main her lol! But seriously, I get where you're coming from, but I like making up my own ideas about the characters and their personalities. It's nice to come up with ideas about them that aren't officially stated, and I love how the ambiguity allows you to kind of make them your own-- It helps you connect with them. I usually get character outfits to represent their personality the way I imagine it, or to make myself feel like I'm actually in the game. I always play as Meg in her pink tennis outfit and the ponytail because it looks just like me!! Have fun with your imagination, and thank you for paying mind to the LGBTQ+ community! I'm glad there aren't any homophobic comments. Love is love and that's great <3!!
-
I save that baby for the last gen when it's close to being done and the killer is patrolling, it's part of the adrenaline rush I get lol!
-
Hey OP! I have only been playing for a few months and I've had a lot of fun so far! At the end of the day, dbd is just a game. I hope things get fixed and that some perks get buffed or nerfed, but as long as I have a good time and so do my teammates and even the killer, then I'm alright! Thank you for not expecting too much out of devs, I can't make a game so I respect people that do these things. Stay positive and let's all hope for the best in 2021 and beyond <3!! Good luck in your next matches by the way, and I hope they're fun :)!
-
My xbox controller is crying from the sheer grip I had typing out those freaking 80000000 character codes WITH DASHES I gave up just now after my third stream lol
-
@Boosted_Dwight said:
The charm shouldn't even be streamer locked it should be a login reward.
What a great idea! It's just a pain to have so many people at work or doing important things to have to stay and watch twitch streamers drop a code when they feel like enough time has passed since the last drop. I'm on xbox and my fingers could barely handle typing out 'gg' after a match lol :)!
-
In case my favorite tombstone myers players leave after this, please know the highlight of my day was watching you mori the player that did nothing and flashlight clicked at everyone. And yes, I'll even miss the camping myers, because you're all valid and jump scare me which makes the game interesting. I hope things get better for you <3
-
Wait, I've done gens in the terror radius before when they're chasing a person-- was I being rude? It's also happened to me as killer but maybe they mean that you only have to be repairing it and then ultimately finish it whilst in their radius? I am confused, but I hope it isn't toxic to do this as survivor because sometimes they are patrolling those gens and you just gotta shoot your shot haha :)!
-
where do i put these mothas in??? I need those sweet sweet bp
EDIT: I am a fool, truly the epitome of stupid; an idiot, in some regards.
-
Just being a jerk for 'fun' in my opinion. Like if I get face camped and the killer hits me to tell me to speed up my death and starts nodding their head, I struggle even longer. If I get slugged and the killer is refusing to hook anyone or is tunneling the last walking survivor, I look for common hatch spawn areas and hide as long as I can. And, worst of all, if I get tunneled exclusively throughout the match because I was the only hooked one (even when they are next to people doing objectives and I'm fully healed) I sometimes just stay still and let them take me because I bet it's not as fun to just take an already dead inside survivor haha! It's not fun to go against these tactics. And I only mention killers because I'm a survivor main. I am in no way saying that all killers are toxic, I've had awful teammates that only provoke people or spam the flashlight. And worst of all... the spam unhooks before leaving you to die!!!!!!!!
-
I think it's quite nice! I only went against some scorched ghostfaces who both tunneled me, and that made my experience pretty bad, but I liked the map lol
