  • I'm not saying DBD is the worst, but I've never played a game that treats its players so differently. It's a joke at this point.

  • It's incredibly frustrating. Reading your take makes it even more obvious that this was just negligence. I know (I assume since I get almost all PC players in my lobbies) that this game is more popular on PC but I'm getting tired of this game so blatantly treating its console players like the red headed step child.

  • I might try to grab crows for my few favorites but I'm not going to kill myself playing a broken game that seems to get worse with each hot fix.

where we goignt o be able to play on the dam new map I mean really now.

It would probably blow up my PS4.

  • Stop playing it. This isn't salt. Why are you playing a game you don't like? Because you used to? That makes no sense. Stop playing the game.

  • Imagine if like, the Apex Legend forums were full of people screaming that opponents killed them too fast and it's just not fair. I demand less bullets hitting me! My opponents must give me a handicap because I can't win without their help!

  • @whycantIwin said:

I want dead hard gone, so badly, and for noed i'll say it again like so many else did, do 5 bones instead of rushing gens, survivors can take the perk away, survivors can't take dead hard away but with 1-2 perks and very few killer add-ons

    LOL

Take away a survivor perk but too bad, don't touch my killer perk. LOL again. There's no such thing as "gen rushing" - it's your job to stop survivors. Why should they be nice to you?

  • Do you have any idea how often Dead Hard doesn't work? Killers would lose their minds if DH actually worked as intended. Or maybe if BBQ failed as often as Dead Hard did and killers would get a 4k without a single stack. IMAGINE.

  • @BBQnDemogorgon said:

The game works still you'd just have to grind through the issues

How does the game work when it literally lags and freezes constantly? PS4 here - it's worse now.

  • @tippy2k2 said:

I can't necessarily tell if you are on a PS4/Xbox One (I'm on the Series X so I'm not having any issues) but when I've ran into people who I suspect were last gen users, they're teleporting around like Nightcrawler. I just kind of have to...guess at where they're gonna be at and smack them there :D

Generally they don't get very far though as they run into stuff a lot in the process

Personally I have tried to stay away from the resource heavy killers (Nemesis, Freddy, Doc) with the hopes that it might help with the stuttering for the last gen peeps so I haven't seen TOO much of this kind of thing.

Ah gotcha, thanks! I am usually the only console player in my lobbies. I have had a few console teammates today and I don't see any lag or teleporting. The new update seems to have made it worse, which doesn't surprise me at all. It's going to be a shame if they've ended DBD for the last gen. I'm certainly not going to spend an insane amount of money to get a PS5 right now so I can play DBD.

The thing is, spreading awareness about stuff like that is good and i fully support it irl but should this really be a matter in a video game?

I dont care if we get a character like that but i dont think its needed to tackle these different targets to get ,,diversety" in the game. I dont say it has no place in games but i think its not neccesary needed either in a game like this.

So do you think BHVR was wrong when the lore specifically mention's Felix's girlfriend and Yun Jin's boyfriend, or is it only unnecessary if it's a same sex couple?

  • Yeah this latest update this morning did nothing to fix the constant lag. It almost seems worse, to be honest.

Wow snowflake much? I'm hardly represented anywhere, it's a diverse ass world out there, I don't mind what bhvr has done whatsoever, besides the pride flag looking too pristine they should bloody it up like every other charm, but I don't understand the obsession

Yep, you got me. Total snowflake. Or you just don't like being called out on your privilege and homophobia. It's fine, honey. Nothing new.

What? I don't think anyone said that. The post is about how do you think they feel about DBD and Behaviour for handling their chapter and the entire update around it so poorly.

    I'm saying it! :) It's broken on console but I don't blame Capcom ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • @jester20k said:

I hear this is reportedly a game about brutally murdering people. Not sure why it started getting so hung up on representation and sexual orientation tbh.

Must be nice to always be represented everywhere.

I've never read any lore, to be honest, but if any character discusses a heterosexual boyfriend or girlfriend, why not LGBTQ?

  • I don't think it's Capcom's fault the game is broken on console right now.

This is EXACTLY what I mean.

Killer uses tactics to win? 'I don't blame people for DCing'.

But what if the Killer is tired of In It To Win It SWF squads? Do they get to DC? Nope! They need to suck it up because SWF is part of the game!

(For the record, all DCing is bad & ruins the game. I'm just making a point)

Killer tunnels one person out of the game, cries that he was gen rushed when three people escape. UWU.

Oh and I've had a way more killers DC this morning than survivors, even though we're literally constantly tunneled out of every game. What world do you live in where killers aren't DCing because they're just bad?

  • Excuse me, I play on console so I push L1 as well, and lag and freeze constantly! But in all seriousness, why shouldn't I play as aggressively as I want? I've been playing this game for years, I'm not scared of it. It's fun to be in chases and make saves. God knows 99% of my teammates are too terrified to do anything.

  • It is every game apart from the 2-3 killers who are running Devour, and I'm not even exaggerating. Game after game after game, nothing but camping and tunneling. It's miserable and I don't blame my teammates when they DC.

Dance With Me has saved my butt many many times. Quite often if I’ve managed to break LoS quick enough after vaulting, the killer thinks I’ve done a juke and vaulted back the way I came.

Dance With Me works often for me because so few killers ever expect it.

I agree it's good, and it confuses killers a lot more than people realize, but your buddy needs to be chased in order to learn. That's why I don't think it's a good perk for a beginner. If you want to just lose the killer, be a Claudette.

  • Totems have received a huge buff, whether killers admit it or not. Every map rework has made it 1000x harder to see totems, even with Small Game, which was nerfed. Indoor maps make totems incredibly difficult to find, with any totem perk. I used to ALWAYS run Small Game, and believe me, it's incredibly frustrating to die to a killer who is so bad he only hit you one time the entire game, and you only had time to cleanse four totems. It happened all the time. You can run NOED all you want, but it rewards bad killers. It's irrelevant that it might be cleansed.

Thanks for the advice, yes I actually have a number of friends who were interested in the game but never actually bought it, this is a first...

When we played KYF I beasted him as killer I downed him in seconds, told him to use Soul Guard/Unbreakable, give him a break and then downed him again. I showed him the realities of the game as both roles but he didn't uninstall 🤨

I've taught him to plan ahead and I'm tempted for him to get Kate (WOO), as WOO works wonders for knowing where the pallets/vaults are.

Also I've told him if it's Bubba, it's basement time. 😆

Bubba is still really easy to go against if you know how to counter him, which most survivors don't. I think Feng is the best survivor for beginners because all three are great for noobs right off the bat. I agree WOO would be good too, but Kate's other perks are pretty useless. And the number one thing - you cannot outrun the killer. You HAVE to look behind you. Yes, he will get stuck on things and die a lot, but there's no other way. One of my friends who quit would complain that she was bad at chase but would never learn loops, or accept the reality that you cannot just outrun the killer.

  • @ethan99 said:

I have a friend who's bought DBD recently, and after running a few KYF to teach them the basics I have a problem.

They like both Killer/Survivor and Killer is obviously only 1, but survivor..

If we were to become a 2 man SWF the matchmaking would probably take my rank into account as I am higher rank then him? I don't want a newbie to go against a much more experienced killer, not fun for the killer also.

Is it better to make them go solo until they get better at the game, or to 2 man SWF?

I've always ran solo up until now so I don't understand what is the best way to introduce someone to the game.

Literally I have had six friends try DBD and they all quit because of match making that so heavily favored the killers. It's funny how killer mains never mention that. I honestly wouldn't bring your friend into this game because it's miserable to start as a survivor, especially with a higher ranked friend. But since he already made the mistake of playing DBD...

Best advice for him though is to not play as a Blendette. Anyone can hide and do skill checks - being good at DBD is being good at chase. He will die a lot, but it's how you learn if you actually want to be good at DBD. At the start of every game, tell him to plan a few moves ahead. What loop he's going to run to, and where he will go after that if he takes a hit or throws the pallet, etc etc.

And YOU should definitely run Borrowed. A lot of killers camp and tunnel and won't be nice because someone is new and bad. Give him a chance to play a little more.

  • Sometimes it's an accident, but yeah I know a lot or people absolutely bring killers to teammates on purpose. I hear your frustration. Lately I've been running the killer literally for 2+ minutes and not a single gen gets done. Yesterday, my Jake teammate went into the basement to search for a a medkit to heal. Everyone knows you can't do gens if you're injured. But first, he heard the terror radius and got scared, so he hid in a locker and the Huntress was using Iron Maiden. He proceeded to search the chest, like the Huntress wasn't going to get the injured moron screaming in the basement.

  • @FilthyLegionMain said:

It's a tactic which keeps the killer from picking them up. It's a pretty good tactic if done right. Forces them to either hit or try a big brain tactic which has little chance of succeeding depending on the distance to the point of no return.

I've been so far away though there's no way I'd have time to crawl out or anything. And I'm not at a pallet.

    @EntitySpawn said:

If that happens let them heal you, the killer cant pick you up without hitting them. A normal body block is better but if that fails this tactic works, sadly most players move meaning the killer can pick you up. Free escape if done right and you're nearly at the leaving point

Yeah I know if you're like, right at the edge of escaping it will give you time to get out but I've been way too far to crawl out and these ding dongs are just risking themselves at that point.

  • It's almost every single one of my games. Played for about five hours last night and only three killers who were meme'ing didn't camp and tunnel. It definitely seems to be worse lately.

  • I played for probably five hours last night and the only killers who didn't camp and tunnel were three killers who were just meme'ing. It's so frustrating.

  • @MikaKim said:

On a positive note, the number of camping tunneling sweaty killers has gone down considerably.

    So that's a positive.

Please tell me where you're finding these killers because I've only had one killer out of seven games tonight who doesn't camp and tunnel.

There's a difference between someone's game crashing and someone intentionally dcing because they hate losing.

It's temporary while the game is super unstable. Can everyone stop whining about this?

  • You could equip it with WGLF to know for sure, but that perk went from OP to useless. I wish I could get a refund on Ash. RIP.

  • I'm sorry but "gen rushing" is absurd. Why should we help our opponents? What do killers to do help us in return? How many killers blatantly camp and tunnel? They aren't forced to, it's a choice they make. And if so many killers are going to tunnel, why should survivors do anything but try to win the game as fast as they can?

Killers have an array of perks to slow down gens.

  • I have been screwed over far more than I've ever been helped by keys, but I guess killers don't realize that. Oh well. I hate killers that camp and tunnel. It is what it is. And it's not like we don't know a change is coming to keys. Think killers will ever stop camping and tunneling?

  • Poor killer mains, can't get four stacks of BBQ while the game is super unstable and almost unplayable for a lot of people. It's temporary. Calm down. And imagine what it's like for survivors who don't get double BP almost every game. Huuu.

  • Yeah I think it's funny killers complain about how fast gens go when the tomes added secondary objectives that become primary objectives for most people because it's such a grind. I cannot tell you how many games I have where all three teammates never even try to touch a gen because there's a hatch challenge. Or how normally I do MOST of the hook saves in a game, and when there's a challenge, I can't get a single on in hours of playing. Literally. Or how teammates have purposely thrown pallets to block me from running so they can try to get a flashlight save. I actually quit the game for months because as a solo survivor, it's miserable to play now.

  • Everything is incredibly dark on Autohaven. I'm still not sure why the devs had to ruin that map. No one can see anything. I wish they could balance the darkness of Autohaven with the blinding new corn maps.

  • The game is so easy for killers when they start, they don't know what to do when survivors are actually good. But if the game is so survivor sided, why have so many major changes lately benefitted killers? ECG, toolbox nerf along with all add ons, medkits and add ons nerfed, DS ruined, Small Game ruined, totems are harder to find, map reworks with windows removed, useless pallets, totems much harder to see, Wraith buff, Bubba buff...just to name a few things off the top of my head.

  • If there are 30,000 new players to the game, why are killers the only ones adversely affected? Are you saying all 30,000 new players are killers? The game is way easier as a beginner for killers than survivors.

  • It's not enough that EGC gives you free kills? The DC penalty being off is temporary. Calm down.

  • That's brilliant - share something for everyone to see and abuse. And I'm a solo survivor, so thanks?

    1-Long queues.

2-0 perk diversity u are forced to use gen regression perks while survivor have many good perks they can choose from.

3-Bully simulator sweat kids in sfw try to bully killer making him waste time when he is prolly playing clown in haddonfield thinking they are good.

    4-Voice comms.

5.Keys give bad survivor a way to win and feels extremely unfair for killer.

    6. death threats every game if they dare to win.

7.GENS fly extremely fast if u have normal killer who can't patrol or you are forced to spend hours upon hours to get some gen regression perks and even then gens fly fast.

    8. lot of killers are bugged like blight sliding off everything and his power not working.

9.People who main survivor on youtube are mostly toxic and bully kids who give bad influence on survivor players.

    10. Stretched and other dumb cheats

    1) survivors have long queues too

    2) no one forces you to use any perks - that's your choice

    3) why should survivors be nice to you and what does that entail?

    4) I'm a solo survivor and the devs keep making this game worse for us, so no wonder there are more and more swfs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    5) keys do more harm than good for solo survivors; noed give bad killers a way to win that feels extremely unfair for survivors

    6) you do not have to read the end game chat

    7) it's your job to stop the gens, survivors have to grind for perks as well and we don't have BBQ

    8) don'y play blight; Laurie has a perk that has literally never worked; there have been bugs before that only adversely affect survivors

    9) stop watching Youtube videos if it hurts your feelings

    10) PC master race, yo

If you're not having fun, why are you playing? For real, why do you play a game that you feel is unfair and that you're "bullied" in? For the love of god, stop playing a game you don't like,

  • I get faster games now that I play with PC people. I'm almost always the only console player in the lobby, but that's not surprising with the way DBD treats console players. But yeah, the PC people who like to ######### on console gamers is always amusing to me. But I guess they need something to make them feel special.

  • I mean, it limits the time survivors have to make saves and gives killers free kills. That's not nothing.

  • I personally think the grind is insane. I don't even have half of my characters at P3 and the more and more they add, it just makes it more overwhelming. I realize that's not WHY people need to play but it almost feels punitive at this point. And this is as a solo survivor. It's probably easier for killers because BBQ is much more lucrative, even with the changes to WGLF.

What perks are survivors allowed to use? How many gen slow down perks are killers allowed to use?

The most toxic thing isn't killers to survivors, or survivors to killers. Legit gen rushing is your teammates letting you hit 2nd stage on hook or even die just because they want to stick to their gens. Or getting chased by killer, walking up to you, unhooking in their face, and farming you. imo the most toxic things in this game are thing survivors are allowed to do to each other. Like you're playing killer you hook a guy, you chase another dude, hook him, and you're like "######### they let the first guy hit 2nd stage?". Or you're survivor with kindred and you realize your teammates don't want to save you

That's a good point. No one does more damage to survivors than their fellow survivors. It's painful to play solo. I'm not sure why I still play this game...sigh.

  • How the heck is "gen rushing" toxic? It's how survivors win. How much time should we give killers before we are allowed to start playing? What are killers going to do to be nice in return? And not to mention the tome literally adds secondary objectives for survivors that for many become primary objectives. I can't tell you how many games I've had where my teammates never even try to win, they just do what they need to do to get the challenges done.

1 … 13 14 15 16 17 … 35
