  • As a customer you have a right to complain regardless of the contract. Sure legally, BHVR is in the right. I definitely question their ethics and business acumen to blatantly piss on some of their own customers. And those customers absolutely have a right to complain about it.

They should really put their money where their mouth is and uninstall though. At the very least don't spend another penny on this game.

  • No brainer move would be to refund these people. Really bad business practices.

  • Terrible game mechanic that 99% pf people have complained about since launch.

And it's made exponentially worse when performance is this bad.

    Noice.

  • The lore isn't even all that good though.

  • @Rauri said:

Are people incapable of reading? OP said nothing about attempting before going into second phase. It’s pretty obvious that he’s talking about waiting out the full minute for someone to get him, then no one actually does.

And you know what... I do the exact same thing. I don’t want to waste my time on twats. And every single game I’ve bother watching after I let myself die because I went into second phase struggle, the game ends with a 4k. Maybe 3k if someone got the hatch. This is without exception.

So, these teammates are already trash to begin with. I also run Kindred, so there is never any excuse. I always get my teammates before struggle, so they can have a second chance. I might not drop everything to get to them that very second, but I’ll be there before that timer runs out if no one else is.

If people can’t do the same for me... ######### BYE. And, yes, I am still rank 1. ######### bloodpoints. I already get plenty of points in most of my games anyway.

Yep. I'm already wasting a perk slot woth kindred to prevent being left on hook that long. If you can't get me off by then, see ya!

  • You don't actually depip whenn that happens. It shows that you do in the post match screen, when you come to the prematch lobby you will have gotten your pip and offering back. You do have to go back in and reselect your offering though.

  • Exactly. Dude legit cheats and crys about survivors playing sweaty. Rich.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

I know it's unacceptable for teammates to get you 2-hooked, but it isn't over when that happens. You just have to make less mistakes. You're screwing your team over by killing yourself on hook.

Not much of a team if I waste a perk slot to give them information with kindred, only for them let me go into phase two. Deuces at that point. Hope that totem was worth it.

  • If I'm not running kindred and not being camped, I will usually struggle even if they let me get into phase 2.

With kindred and no camp, "adios losers!"

  • Haven't played killer in a few weeks- does she still rubber band while using her power?

  • I've been running it as a solo. But also mainly out of boredom. It's fun having a target on my back. Definitely get tunneled out of some games. But oh well.

  • Lately I have been running OoO as a solo player. Last night I had a rando that was slugged DC and O escaped via hatch. I'd bet you a million dollars that the killer assumed that we were SWF. I'd probably think the same thing if I were in his shoes.

It would be nice if you could at least see and get a blood point bonus for going against SWF. But sometimes you just get beat by good solo players.

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

They don't. but means to find and cleanse totems need a slight buff. Be it a totem counter, be it perks like small game narrowing the cone instead of the distance, things like that. So you don't scramble around an area trying to triangulate the totem while the killer comes closer as they saw your aura pop up due to undying.

    You can say that again.

  • My biggest complaints with the game are:

Bugs and performance - speaks for itself

Really inept teammates as a solo - speaks for itself. Just add comms already. Make it so the killer can hear as well.

The fact that games are either won too easily or lost too easily. I feel like as killer I'm going to get rekt 2 out of every 3 matches (in red ranks) and then 2 pip in the 3rd game. So I stay in red ranks even though it's really not a lot of fun. Very rarely do I have a 2k game.

And obviously the terrible grind. Too many worthless perks/add-ons. Not enough BP.

I'm sure I could get into more details. But these are the main reasons I'm barely playing at the moment. It's just lost a lot of the fun factor.

  • @Nemmy_Wemmy said:

This is basically where im at right now.

I still like reading the forums and watching others play it, but the bugs/toxicity/stress/and grind are taking a toll on me.

I have multiple killers and survs p3 all perks but theres a point where i need to play for fun and I shouldnt force myself to play.

Amen. I've taken a break as well. The grind is stupid. I was basically treating this game like a part time job. When it's fun it's very fun. But lately it just hasn't been all that fun.

  • Dead Hard is one of the more OP perks in the game. It's just been in the game long enough for people to accept. It always blew my mind that people lost their minds over original Mettle of Man when it was a one timr only use perk with an aura reading down side. Dead Hard can be used at least 3 times per match and extends chases big time. Even DS and unbreakable can only be used once.

Like many of the stronger survivor perks it's really more of the fact that multiple survivors can use these perks that creates the issue. If one guy has Dead Hard it's not that big of an issue. If 3 or 4 have it? Different story. Same with the other strong perks.

They really need a perk budget of $12. Depending on usage you'd have a list of $5 perks (DH, DS, Unbreakable), $4 perks (spine chill, we'll live forever, etc). This would lower the amount of second chances (there would still be some). It would also lead to more perk variety.

But they'll never implement that. So just be ready to go against multiple DH, DS, Unbreakable, etc.

  • "Hardly anyone even uses Spine Chill!"

Lol. Oh yeah. Yep hardly anyone. /s

  • A lot of naysayers and there's-counterplay-ers here, but I agree with the OP. Super strong perk. Little downside. Makes stealth killers much, much weaker. Like many of the most hated perks (OoO, DS, Unb, DH), yeah it's not so bad if one person has them but when 3 or 4 players are just immersing and doing gens, it bogs the game down so much. No chases. No interaction. Just boring AF.

The best thing the Devs could do is force survivors to run different perks, but that sadly will never happen.

The Plague teleports backwards and to the sides after you using her power, you can’t play as The Plague anymore because of this bug.

This is true. Rubberband Town, USA. Population 1. The plague.

    Unplayable.

  • @SunderMun said:

If all 4 survivors know exactly where you are at every moment, then it removes the element of surprise which for a killer is very important. Even stealth killers are messed up by it, and therein lies the problem: they can't fulfill their niche.

Also I've legitimately had 10 games vs Object today and they've been so painful. I won most of them, but it was frustrating. One of those games the stack all had sprint burst and I was playing Bubba, which was super fun. One of them was salty that I got a 2k despite their hyper efficiency, which is another thing:

Object allows a team of survivors to be hyper efficient.

Also you should try playing vs object users on Midwich. I've played using that perk and gotten that map and honestly felt so bad for the killer. Luckily for them, I only ever duo and actually try to have fun.

Yep. Played 5 killer games. 3 had an object.

And in general I've seen much more object of obsession users since crossplay. Maybe it's related, maybe it isn't. Still is annoying though.

  • @VioletParr said:

Try playing plague and using vile purge. The game legit breaks. I teleport and rubber band its terrible. Don't get me started on the hooking bug.

You are not wrong. Played Plague for the first time in a while. Rubberband city. And the hook bug is costing me games and challenges.

It's been frustrating to say the least.

  • I agree. It would put a lot more pressure on the survivors. As it is now usually the killer just keeps on the guy that was hooked, everyone heals up and charges the hooked survivor. 2 or 3 body block and they all live. With exit gate regression, the killer could actually press someome at the gate instead of of just trying to protect his 1k. Survivors would have less time to heal. I'm all for it.

Regression should be based on how many survivors are left in the game.

  • Played 6 killer games yesterday (ps4).

In 3 games I lost a hook because of the hook bug.

In 1 game I got glitched trying to grab Dwight out of a locker. I was just stuck there for most of the match. Finally after all the gens were done I was able to unbug myself and the survivors were nice enough to farm.

But really a pretty poor gaming experience right now. Hopefully they fix it soon.

  • I have all survivors (besides Felix) at p3 all perks (besides Felix' teachables).

I have 9 killers at p3 all perks (besides the blights teachables).

I have spent a lot of bp and play the game way too much. It would not hurt my feelings at all if they lessened the grind for newer players or players that don't have time to max everything out. Even with no perk tiers it would still take plenty of time to p3 all perk every killer and survivor.

I couldn't imagine being a new player at this point knowing the grind is what it is.

  • Unless you actually play the game, commenting on the dbd forum is not worth your time.

  • Honestly at this point I would settle for just trashing them for nothing. I almost never play anything but a blood point offering. Luck? Mist? Lol. Just clutter.

I very rarely see Devour Hope on PS4 and I’ve been playing for 3 years now. So you’re either exaggerating how much you’re coming across it or it’s an XBOX thing.

Either way, this whole “Console players do X” and “PC players do X” is beyond tiresome now. I’ve experienced the stuff people complain about from both console and PC players. The issue isn’t the platform. It’s the player.

For me, nothing has changed since enabling crossplay except finding matches faster. The quality of those matches are no different.

Exactly. Devour Hope meta lol. PC master race over hear crying about console players. Weird stuff. Hopefully he has some better games soon.

  • How would you know what they acuse you of. You can't chat with them?

Also 90% of killers aren't running Devour Hope.

    What a weird post.

  • Amen. At least let me get a hit on the survivor instead of the friendly shoulder pat.

  • You should be able to sell offerings back. I never use luck or mist offerings. Barely use map offerings. Hook offerings. They're just clutter.

  • Other than adept Steve, I've not used any of those perks. They are trash.

  • @Heartbound said:

    Gen grabs

What are those? Is that when you gently pat someone on the back and then they run off? Because for about a year now that's my primary experience when gen grabs.

  • @tippy2k2 said:

    Different people have different opinions.

    There's your explanation. You're welcome!

Exactly. Not sure what the point of this thread is. I mean people definitely complain too much about this game, but also people have a wide variety of conflicting opinions.

  • Agreed. All survivors are p3 all perks. About half way done with the killers. Starting to slow down again with play time though. It will happen or it won't. I just wish they lessened the grind, because it's still too much.

  • I don't think DH is necessarily over poweredon it's own, but I've seen some comments that I disagree with and have something else that people haven't brought up.

My two issues with DH are It's really frustrating when 2 or more players are using it. I'm om console. There are gtoups that run DH, but since cross play I'm running into a lot more of the DH teams. It is what it is, but when I see someone say "you can only use it 3 times", one that's not necessarily true and 2, again from the killers point of view you may get hit with it 6,9, 12 times.

"You can just bait it". Sure. Sometimes. Often times though they can just use it to get to the next strong loop. Which can extend the chase much longer. Which leads to my ultimate beef with DH which is...

Opportunity cost. The game starts. No one is injured. You find your first survivor. Let's even say you're doctor so you find them in 15 seconds. You chase, break a couple of pallets and get your first hit. Hey not a bad start, but now you're about 30 seconds in to the chase and you've got them right before they make it to that pallet. Boom. Dead hard. And you can tell they're in a strong loop or a good chain of loops. Do you leave them and find someone else? Probably the better option, but they have DH and they've used it. If you find them later they're either goinf to be healed or just have DH up again and that initial chase was completely worthless.

Killers have a lot of quick decisions to make and this is a frequent difficult decision that comes up. Do you really want to give up on a guy and have them get their DH up again? Are you screwed if you stay on him? Good luck.

Again, OP? Probably not, but I would take old MoM over DH 100/100 times. I may be in the minority there, but at least there was a downside of seeing the aura if they healed after using it and at least you knew it was a 1 time use.

  • Lol. Bummer.

But for real they changed it so you just can't tunnel the caged survivor. Which is an excellent change.

  • F13 did the same thing. Hype a big update that is going to make the game lool better. It was just darker.

I haven't gotten the chance to see the new update for DBD but I hope it's better than you're describing.

  • New survivor is Tayne, Killer is Celery Man.

I don't necessarily think it's because of Blood Warden, I think it's more preventing the EGC timer from starting for as long as possible. I've had games where we fly thru gens but then 3 or 4 hooks happen after the last gen is powered, and if the gate was opened instead of 99ed we'd have to leave people behind or die to the collapse.

I understand that. 3 minutes is a long time though. Like most games last around 10 minutes. So why get someome downed at a 99 gate when you could just open the gate and not have to slow down an injured dude near the exit gate.

  • 99 the gates. I understand the rationale behind it, but really how often is blood warden really used? And as far as end game saves, there typically is still plenty of time to trade a couple of hooks here and there.

I'd say I've probably been killed more injured running toward a 99'd gate then by running out of time from someone opening the gates too soon.

And blood warden is at least one of the few fun "oh #########" moments in the game.

  • I player 6 killer games (ps4 here) last night. One tie, one game where i got rekt, and 4 where I won.

    So business as usual basically.

  • @xEa said:

I had a game as Nurse against 4 Console survivors. The first 20 seconds it went clicky a bit, then it was silence and scream for the rest of the game as usual :P

It was an honor to show them Nurse. I guess we will see a lot more complains about her in the near future, once console players realise what Nurse really is ;)

As a console user i can't wait to go up against a good nurse again.

  • Like most things, maybe people should give it more than a day before they "threaten to quit". I can't say i particularly loved my initial cross play experience, but I'll give it more than 10 matches to make a real opinion on things.

  • @Angelicus23 said:

If you know that from pyramid gamers, then you should be able to predict it, a killer can't take a nerf because you make mistakes of forget to predict it and call the killer op

There is nothing for the survivor to predict. Throw the pallet and take a hit or don't drop the pallet and take a hit. No mind game there. No mistakes by the survivor. The survivor is completely at the mercy of whether the killer screws up at a pallet. That's bad game design. And that's why he's not very fun to go against.

  • Agreed. Same with Slinger. It doesn't need to be a long cooldown, but you shouldn't just be able to cheese whether you're using your power or not without some gameplay resistance.

  • Gens go fast at first because at best there is 3 people on a gen and 1 in chase. After you get just 1 guy on a hook the gen speeds are perfectly fine. At that point the game is largely in your hands. It's up to you and your abilities with a little RNG as well. If you're getting gen rushed passed the first 2 gens you're just getting outplayed.

  • Blame the devs for having that be a secret offering.

  • I used it on Plague for a while. You can be fast and get everyone broken easier and then only waste the 1 stack downing them.

  • @clem1710 said:

Wiggle out build. Flip flop, tenacity, boil over and unbreakable.

It doesn't work all the time, but I've had games where I've wiggled free like 7 or 8 times. Classic.

My toxic build is to run p3 Claudette with iron will, calm spirit, pebble, and red herring. Just creep around, touch gens, and move around the map. Use a key to get out at the very end. Toxic to survivors as well tho. I used to use this with old swf group. So it was kind od whoever got found last would get out.

Also we did not do this all the time, maybe 5 games total.

1 … 16 17 18 19 20 … 30
