So, if killers are OP, how come, that killers have instant lobbies while survivors have to wait 10 minutes in a queue?
Wouldn´t people prefer to play the OP role?
I play both roles. If I'm preferring to play chill games I usually play survivor because a quarter or my interatctions are just holding m1.
If I want to be more interactive or want more bp I play killer.
In either situations I just want fun games. I don't care if I win or lose as long as the game last more than 5 minutes.
I'm not a sweat dick though, so maybe I'm in the minority.
-
I played as part of a 4 man swf for thw first time in several months. We only had a 4 man escape once against a blight that was clearly trying to derank.
I think one other game we may have had two get out.
It's not like it's easy mode with swf. It's easier than solo queue, but killers still have it pretty easy compared to previous iterations of this game.
-
It's a speed based game and nobody runs urban so games go to a crawl. I'm not one that DCs against hag (or any killer) but I can see why they do.
-
No. But a much slower version of unbreakable should be basekit.
-
I play about 60/40 as survivor, but a lot more killer lately, I think keys are fair. It sounds like I'm in the minority though.

So killers are good because Survivors got nerfs. SO killers are only as good as survs are bad. cool
You're moving the goal posts. Your original argument was that "killere have never had it easier". Now you're trying to make it "killers are only as good as survivors let them" (whatever that even means).
Name a time in this games history where killers had it easier. Good luck with that.
-
I think an even better strategy would be to uninstall the game and play something else.
-
I would love some sort of capture the flag mode where you have 2 survivors and two killers on the same team going up against 2 survivors and killers on the other side.

u wont win, at best youll get a 0 wich is a loss for the killer but they actually yes won, however not many people care about piping and being at rank 1 so is whatever.
Been rank 1 many times over. No reward means no need to sweat. I just want to chill and play a video game the way I feel like. 0 pip is a win to me.
-
I'm enjoying games where i get 2 hooks on each and then letting everyone live. It's been fun. Everyone scores points. No hate mail.
The survivors get to escape and I know that I pretty much won anyway.
Win-win.
-
Is MMR even up right now? How does one pad the MMR?

@Tsulan said:
Usually the matches go so: 1 surv dead, 1 injured on the gate, 1 on the hook and me who hasn´t been hooked once. Now i go for the rescue with BT, even body block so the other can escape. I get hooked an expect the other 2 guys to heal each other and rescue me.
Instead i see how they teabag the killer at the exit gate and both leave me to die.
So, i´m officially thinking about leaving in this situation. Since the others won´t bother to rescue me anyway.
I guess you should take some agro a lot earlier. Then it might be zero dead. One on each exit gate, with plenty of time to coordinate a save.
"I died on my first hook" is the cry of a player that doesn't have a simple grasp of how the game works.
-
They should just have a perk stock market where you can buy the perks butt the purchase price changes depending on what percentage uses the perks.
If perks get buffed or nerfed, if better perks change the meta than the purchase price will change.
And I should clarify, i mean blood points not actual money.

Lol. Someone call the wahhhmbulance.
-
Didn't read the whole thread, but has there ever been an easier time to play as killer?
-
Lol. I can't remember the last time I was DS'd besides games where I'm curbstomping the other team and just feel like eating it.
Let them run off unless they are trying to do a gen, totem, or heal right in your face. Then slug them.
-
Yeah. Agree to disagree here. I get about 4 times as much hate mail from survivors than I do killer.
Interestingly enough there are 4 times as many survivors than killers.
Weird.
-
Its much easier to pip as killer than solo survivor in my opinion.

I dont think killers realize how often keys in games actually help them. As a solo survivor, most of the time my teammates stop playing if they even try at all. They strand two people with one gen to go and take the hatch instead of helping and having all three people have the chance. It happens all the time. I'm sure SWF is annoying, but I don't think it happens as much as keys actually hurt solo survivors. And blame the devs for once again putting a hatch escape challenge in the rift.
Exactly. I know this because on the rare occasion I bring a key in. My play styke changes drastically if things are going sideways (with a key compared to without).
Without a key, I'll still try to push gens. I'll try to go for that last unhook or slug.
With a key, nah. I'll just look for the hatch. Sorry boys and girls.
-
Key is fine as is. Big mistake if they change it.
-
Also, lessen the ridiculous grind.

@Moundshroud said:
It is cheating, and no I wouldn't do it. It is one of the more blatant abuses of a SWF's 5th Perk (Comms).
I've player solo and people have dc'd for the hatch. People just don't want to slug or trade being slugged. It's boring.

I play both. This is a long overdue and positive change.
If you want easy wins, you should buy F13 the game and play against the offline bots. That may be more in your wheel house.
-
Keys are not nearly as over powered as moris. Keys literally only effect the end game. Moris in their own state effected the entire game.
I've played 1000s of games as killer and have had 2 or morw escape by hook maybe 20 times (that's a generous amount btw).
I've been hooked, tunneled, mori'd less than 5 minutes into a game way more than 20 times.
I've had plenty of games where I have had a key and can't even find the hatch before running into a killer.
I'm not saying keys never come into play, but they rarely save a team and even then, gens were completed to even make the hatch in play.

Having that many hours has nothing to do with understating how Survivors actually play the game lmao
You're the one that brought up red rank play as if I don't understand red rank play. Nevermind that my last game was with three rank 1s and I died on my second hook because of their lack of awareness.
Again, sure you can all split up on gens and apply early pressure, but how often does that happen really?
And again, a reason that doesn't happen often is partly because survivors are playing to scrape the killer. They're playing chill and trying to make it fun. They open chests, they search and cleanse totems, they unhook and heal. For the most part they're not trying to win the match on three minutes.
You seem like you'd be the guy at the party that I'd roll my eyes at and avoid. Smartest guy on the room vibes that only cares about his enjoyment.
Games are meant to be fun for everyone. They won't always be, but you don't have to go out of your way to make them unenjoyable for others. Conscious choice on your part. And this isn't an e-sport or else, sure I'd sort of see your point.
-
I only use moris for dailys and challenges and I've been saving them for after the second hook anyway. No change for me!
This is a great and long over due change.
-
I've gotten to use it a whole zero times in my games.

Very large gross understatement of how games typically go. Perhaps if you play in the green to brown ranks that's how it usually goes, but not in the purple to red ranks. Most games end in less than 4 minutes one way or the other.
Not sure why people assume Survivors playing solo has anything to do with their ability to gen rush, when it doesn't. I don't need to bring up the old "experiment" that was done by the death squad for people to know that high level Survivors, even without using comms or perks, can easily decimate some of the best Killers at the game.
I will always have more fun by facing a person that goes full throttle and tries their hardest to win, rather than intentionally lowering their power level because they want me to have fun too.
I don't need my hand held. And by the way, I play Survivor solo 90% of the time. I have 0 issues against Killers that try their hardest, and, in fact, have the most fun in those games. I don't have fun when someone intentionally tries to make sure I have fun. It feels disingenuous, and frankly, is an insult to my skill as a player.
Red rank survivor, red rank killer. 3000 hours plus played.
So nah. I think I have a pretty good grasp of how this game goes.

It doesn't matter whether or not the teams are even.
And you do know that if Survivors play super optimally, all gens are gonna be done in about 2 and a half minutes right? It takes 80 seconds to do a gen. In 80 seconds, the game is already halfway over if 3 people are on 3 different gens.
So your problem goes both ways. And I can tell you right now, most survivors do not care about the Killer's fun whatsoever.
How many games out of 100 do you see 3 gens done in 80 seconds?
1 or 2 maybe?
Again, games are meant to be fun for everyone. Thats not going to always happen. But do I need to have nights where maybe 1 game out of 5 is fun? Nah. And again that's on some of these killers that feel like they need their ego placated against a group of solos. Woo. Fun.

And there is the inherent dilemma. You are judging people based on how they play the game, when the reason people play games is to have fun.
Your fun is not my responsibility. It is yours. This is the inherent problem with games with two different teams, as I already stated.
Someone, somewhere, even if you play in the most "fair" way possible, is going to get butthurt and get mad at you. I've been playing online games for nearly 20 years at this point.
Playing within the rules of the game is the only stipulation I care about. Anything else is someone being salty, or hopping on a high horse.
The problem is that this is not a two equal teams situation. And if a killer chooses his fun over the other four players, you have fast games that are boring and frustrating for 80% of the players.

You doing that is your decision.
But I stand by my statement. It isn't your responsibility to do such things. You do it because you choose to do it.
Yep. Because I'm not a dick and know that it's a game. It should be fun for everyone not just me.

That's the problem with games with two different teams. The other team's fun is not your responsibility.
Only your own fun is.
That's not entirely true though. I play red rank killer and definitely go out of my way to mix up targets, leave the hook, etc.
You don't have to play to win the game in the first two minutes of the match.

having some kind of offline bot content would help to avoid this for people who dont like to interact with players that take this game wayyy to serious treating it like its life or death
Or just give bloodpoints for kill your friends. I would rather play with my friends who know they'd be ostracized if they played scummy. Can't progress in this grind fest playing kill your friends though.
-
Not justifying whatever was said, but this game is very boring when the games are trash and nobody can do anything. Killers proxy camping and running right back to the hook. Slugging with no gens done.
Judging by the scores that's probably what you did. It's fun for you, but not everyone else. But don't worry it's not just you. Many killers play like that.

Kid if you’re going to whine and “not play” an online game because of that then maybe you shouldn’t be playing online games in general.
That seems like you saying "get over it" but if I misconstrued, that's on me. That doesn't change the fact that you added nothing other then saying "If you don't like it, don't play". It's just my personal belief that we shouldn't try to gloss over people acting like this because it's over an online game.
And if you want to, go ahead. I've never been banned or jailed before, so the most it will do is just jail me.
He didn't literally say "get over it".
But he definitely said "get over it".
-
Yep. It's real lame. Played six games and 3 of them had early game sluggers and proxy campers. Just straight up boring. Switched to Madden.
Some days the games are just straight garbage.

Well if you play against evenly skilled survivors most likely you won't be getting 4k in every game, isn't that the objective of playing against people of the same skill?
For me most of the time it's either 0k or I just totally destroy them at 4k - 3+gens left. I don't really like how the matchmaking of the game goes at the moment... it's really swingy. I would rather have more 2k - 3k games...
That's the biggest issue with the game and has been since at least when zi started playing back in 2018. It's basically 0k or 4k. Very few evenly matched games. They happen. They just don't happen nearly as much as I'd like.
-
Agreed. The two are not even comparable.
-
I haven't seen a post in quite sometime that I have disagreed with so much in a long time.
First off, I was told that completing the objective too quickly was the problem.
Secondly, I much rather enjoy playing against agressive/solid looping survivors than against 4 spine chillers that creep away anytime their spine chill cat lights up.
I will actually hard camp survivors when that happens because it's really the only boring thing that happens as killer.
More stealth? Big no from me, dawg.
-
Play something else for a while.

He's a little annoying but well balanced. One of the better M1 killers.

Yeah, no.
MoM rewarded bad plays and there was no way around it with 90% of Killer's.
But Dead Hard is fine as it is? Lol.
The bottom line is that original MoM was fine. It was a one time use with a downside of the killer seeing your aura if you healed yourself afterword.
Killers just went ape about it because it was a strong perk. Dead Hard which gives you at least 3 free hits is much stronger than original MoM. Especially when multiple players on a team equip it.
-
Demo.
-
In all my killer matches I've never seen anyone abuse this perk. In all my YouTube and twitch viewing I've never seen anyone abuse this perk. If this could have been abused there would have been a much higher usage of this perk. I'm skeptical of the reasoning for the nerf to 4 seconds.
