when survivors walk on his rites of judgment their speed should be reduced by 50% and when they leave the trail their speed reduction should persist for 3 seconds . so far this ability of his feels useless and it has almost no effect on survivors besides to avoid getting ds'd and if the survivors don't have ds then you are just slowing yourself down by putting the trails with zero advantages .
punishment of the damned tweaks
- it should have twice the thickness then it has now as it is completely ineffective at hitting survivors since they can dodge it so easily
- it should take half the time to fire by the time you impale the ground with your sword ready to fire the survivor will have gained enough distance to hear you when you prepare the attack and quickly dash left or right
- it should be almost silent so survivors can not predict it is coming because now they can dodge it without any effort making it completely ineffective
Lol a good pyramid head is almost impossible to counter and you ask for a buff. get gud man...
And to give some points. Thinking PH abilites are useless means you didn't understand anything on how to play him and you are surely a poor killer.
No need to bring the downed survivor to a hook ? It's nothing ? You use less time, bodyblock is impossible, you avoid falshlight/pallet saves, you force a survivor to go to the save that is sometimes far from generators...
Then you can Mori without a mori.
About the range attack, use your brain and you will hit players. With nurse's calling it's awesome as you can use it without being seen.
Also, in torment mode, the speed is barely affected, you can fake at windows + pallets & then do a standard hit...
Well ye it's useless... everytime i come here i'm amazed by how dumb some threads can be...

Except it's not.
Newbie killer using an "op" killer will still do poorly. Also... what is your definition of a newbie killer?
Man you can't do poorly with a Stridor Spirit lol... unless you are really new to the game.
Same with the hag, once you have understood that you can instant teleport/hit without aiming, EZ clap.
I won't explain every broken mechanics but you exactly know what i mean. There are new players that know nothing and bad to average killers that know how the game works.
@LastShoe And i know why changes have been done to survivors. Did i complain ? No, i just say they have had to adapt at every update while killers have mostly just seen buffs. And some killers don't require skill at all to be played.
Sure if devs remove the "i can hit without aiming the survivor and then correct my aim by swinging and the hit register", most killers won't be able to hit anything but it wouldn't be broken, it would just mean that the player has no aim and is trash.
A killer that can spam its bottles to slow 100% of a loop and more to get ez hits doesn't require skill to be played, spam spam hit, spam spam hit hook. EZ...
In competitive FPS games, if you miss the head, you don't headshot, is it broken ? No, it requires skill.
Man, i have played killers against good SWF, i have also played killer against my SWF, i have awlays got 3K+ and they had flashlights etc...
Came back to DbD 1 month ago after 1 year pause cause could not accept so much unbalance, went from rank 20 to rank 1, died only 4 times.
As a killer, went from rank 20 to rank 8, played against many red ranks during the new matchmaking, had 3K+ 70% of the time, less than 10 games where i got 0 to 2 kills cause the SWF were way too good and it was on hospital and the game maps. Red ranks were not the best survivors i faced. Never played with add-ons, never used BBQ, never used stridor...
But ye, killer mains are crying gneugneu nerf surv... killer community is mostly unskilled, period.

Offerings definitely help though. And tunneling isn't taking the game hostage at all. The game can still continue.
The game can continue, but taking a game in hostage it's not about blocking it.
Firstly, camping and tunneling is taking a survivor in hostage, he can't play objectives or anything as you are still on his back, so you ruin the game for him.
Secondly, when you are done camping/tunneling and then killing this guy, sure the game can continue but if you have an efficient killer, there will still be 2 or 3 gens left with 3 survivors. They won't be able to finish it.
Tunneling and camping till killing is a dirty strategy that works too well. As i have said, if you use a tier S killer and use this strategy, it's a 3K 95% of the time, unless you are a really bad killer.
It's an EZ win, no mindgame or skill involved, just using a cheap mechanic to win. It's like using a wallhack on Valorant.
But hey, not to be rude, but you are defending a strategy for low skilled killers, so i don't expect anything good from you.
Whatever, good killers in this game are really rare. Players that can 3k+ playing properly, without tunneling or camping are few, less than 5% of killers i encounter in red ranks.
All other killers are trash, can't even use their brain at a pallet loop, so they use cheap mechanics to win their games and they think they are good lol...
The main problem in this game is not really the balance, it's the community. Everytime it's possible to use a perk/add-ons that will give a too big advantage for one killer, most of players use it.
Exactly the same than IRL, Masks are compulsory but i still see dumb ppl wearing it under their nose. IQ lower than 80, might be the average IQ on DbD aswell.

The title of this video answers that question.
Spamming bottles at every loops/windows, hitting surv wihtout any aim requirement.
This video shows it all, it's totally unskilled and ez mode. Spam something to prevent survivors running, ez win.
Can't say i made a good shot or i won the mindgame no, it's just spam spam hit spam spam hit cause the power just removes the survivor ability to run.

But there are OP killers that don't require skill at all. Being downed by a noobie killer that has low IQ, no aim skill and just use a broken killer and often equipped with broken add-ons piss me off.
It's like facing a player with the add-on "aimbot" or "wallhack" on Valorant, it's exactly the same.

I'm going to strongly disagree on that one. I've had games as survivor where the killer tunneled me to death and smacked me on the hook for no reason. On the flip side, I've had games as killer where survivors put in Ormond offerings and teabag and flashlight click every chance they get when I neither camped nor tunneled. Can we stop with this us-vs-them stuff? Both sides are guilty of being toxic to each other.
Tea-bagging and flashlight don't help to win a game and it's not taking in hostage the game. Some still do gens and one is in chase with you, T-bagging you, whatever, his choice, he doesn't run faster with this.
You can also use Franklin perk.
A killer camping and tunneling is taking in hostage the game, period. When he gets the 1st kill, if there are 2+ gens left then the game is over.
This is ruining the game. And atm, almost every killer i play against use this dirty play.
-
Ppl crying because SWF.
SWF means you rely on the skill of your teammate. It's a group of 4 survivors, 4 individuals that have to work together to go out. It means :
- teamwork
- communication
- individual skill to the service of the team
So it means it requires skills. If one fail, all the team can fail.
A killer relies only on himself and its add-ons + perks, if the killer fails, it's his fault and only his fault, the game cannot be ruined because a teammate didn't do his/her job.
Really strong premades are annoying i know it as i also play killer at high rank. But honestly, how many great SWF do you encounter ? By great i mean that you can't do anything against them. It's like 10% of the red rank games...
And this only if you play a pallet loop "sensible" killer.
If you play a Tier S/A killer, you 3K 95% of the time...
Don't tell me it's wrong, as i have said, i play killer aswell. So now, if you need to win 100% of the games you play to stop complaining cause you guys think you are high skilled... it's sad cause most of killers i encounter do nothing but camping and tunneling, SWF or not, items equiped or not.

Yesterday I had only one killer match and it was surprisingly good. The survivors weren’t hot garbage or toxic to the bone that it could melt your face off if you got to close. I got a smooth 2/4 and we both respected each other. Why can’t all survivors be like this, this is how the game was intended to be after all.
Because 95% of killers play dirty maybe ?
Killers are the one who decide if the game will be good or bad, they can tunnel and camp = bad game or play properly without tunneling/camping = good games.
You know what ? 95% of killers prefer to use cheap mechanic to get kills son SWF are toxic. My SWF is super toxic and i'm proud of it cause most of killers main are trash.
You want more friendly survivors ? Then tell your killer friends to play properly.

As a Spirit main, I love playing against Spirit because she makes me have to guess and predict her movements, and since I main her I already know how she's thinking! Even if I keep her occupied for 2 gens I accept the fact that she'll eventually get me!
We talk about skill, you talk about guess & predicting ...
Go play loto if you want to guess and predict.

Oni a C or below and Plague at A/B? Hot take.
Yes, Oni can't do anything against a swf, he is a pallet loop weak killer, almost the same than demogorgon.
Plague, when she is well played, is really efficient, you can't loop against her etc...

@Erk said:
There are 2 types of games : Luck-based and skill-based (of course mostly ever game has both but one is more heavy then the other). In luck-based games you sometimes say "Well, I was unlucky, that's why I lost." Hearthstone, for instance but in skill-based games you lose because you are bad. Git gud etc. So, what happens when you combine both ? If you ever played TF2 and encountered "random crits", you would know.
When I play against Spirit and I win in a chase, I never say "Yay ! I was the better player !", it's always "welp, I was lucky". Since Spirit can stand at a pallet and wait until the end of time, you never know if she is phasing or not. You can guess if she is phasing. So for the sake of the scenario, let's say she is not. If you guess that she DID and you slow vault the pallet, you get hit. If you didn't, congratulations ! You won with luck ! This is not fun people.
I heard the argument that "Spirit and Nurse are the only killers that can counter a tournament team !" I won against a tournament team as Clown with 2 reload addons. Now, they are too powerful, I agree about that but that doesn't mean that a killer can be busted AF just so it can counter a team. Spirit AND those teams should be nerfed.
I also heard the argument "She is only good at 1v1s !" No she is not ! She is especially good at 1v1s but she has a lot of mobility too. With tracking perks, she is counterable, yes, but with luck ! If you are not lucky, you die.
For the record, I don't think Nurse is an OK killer. Just like Spirit, if she is in the right hands there is little to no counterplay. Her power is incredibly strong but at least she requires an ungodly amount of skill to play. If she didn't, she would be "More powerful and stronger Spirit".
So, what could be done ? Add a phasing animation so that she stays still but you know that she is phasing. This would open up mindgames where you can actually do something. Oh, by the way, Stridor is way too powerful on her. It's not like "STBFL and Demo's shred" since that is combo, this is busted AF. Do something about the perk or about the killer in that.
TL;DR : Spirit is lottery, you win based on luck. That is stupid.
Ok then if the way she is played is to make the survivor "guess", then let's remove stridor and counterplay her by letting her "guess" aswell when she is phasing.
Spirit doesn't require any skill to be played, it's ez mode. If you don't 3k+ all the time as a Spirti, it means the player is trash.
-
If you play to win, you have to play dirty, either as a killer, either as a survivor.
Let's take some exemples.
Survivor wanna win ? What do they do ?
- gen rush
- use meta perks (spine chill, unbreakable, DS, Dead Hard, sprint burst, Borrow)
- they bodyblock at key moments to avoid a hook
- they abuse pallet loop (which is a key aspect of the gameplay mechanic)
Is killer able to get 2k if he plays fair ? Let's calculate it.
- killer is looking for the first victim 10 seconds
- killer is chasing the 1st victim 30 seconds (it's low)
- killer hooks the 1st victim 10 seconds
- let's admit he has BBQ, he then goes to the 2nd prey, cross the map 15 seconds
- repeat the 3 above points (1st one is only at the start) 11 more times (3 hooks for each survivors without tunneling)
Total = 655 seconds, almost 11 minutes.
If all survivors do gen when they are not in chase, a gen is 80 seconds, let's admit they need 15 seconds between gens.
All gens need 80 x 5 + 15x5 = 475 seconds to be complete if they just do one gen at a time. As you know the game, survivors do multiple gens at the same time. We can then say that a game against good survivors is over in 8 minutes.
No need to explain more than this, when survivors know what they are doing, the only way for the killer to get 3k is to play dirty.
There is a big balance problem.

If you play suvivor in a good swf with survivors that flashlight save, use DS, Borrow, unbreakable and dead hard, bodyblockng the killer to prevent hook etc, you are bad.
It's frustrating but everything in this game is.

just curious to see peoples opinions. This one is mine
I place doctor higher on this list, because I think certain builds with him make him insanely strong, one of more underrated killers, and legion because I think people underestimate his power and the interesting ways his power can be used (maybe im biased because hes my second killer under spirit in terms of hours played). I personally think pig in the right hands is nuts, the pressure you can apply to a game without stall perks is already good.
Would put Oni in C or below as when you know how to counter him, he is as bad as demogorgon.
Would put the plague on A or B as if you know how to play her, she is not that bad.
Anyway, at high rank against swf, only tier S/A killers are efficient enough. Everything else is just unplayable.
When you have a swf where they all run borrow + DS + dead hard + unreakable, have fun to deal with them with any tier B or under killers.

I mentioned that in my comment, it would bolster a few killers I don’t know what the workaround is there
I truly think, after years of playing this game, that this is not a single solution/new mechanic that will fix the game.
Everything have to be reworked, totally everything except the base concept.
Too many perks brought too many balance problems.
Killers that are too far apart in terms of efficiency.
Maps that are also too far apart in terms of loops/pallets/visibility balance.
There is a huge amount of work to bring this game where it deserves to be. I know exactly what needs to be done, for every killers/maps/perks to make the game fun for both sides at a high level of skill.
I guess that dbd streamers know exactly what the game needs too. But BHVR doesn't listen, they have a clear idea to where they want to bring the game and don't give credit to what we, high skilled players, have to say.
Mathieu Coté has the game in his hands. Just look at the video where he plays the Hag against a Korean survivor.
You clearly see that he is discovering Live that there is a balance problem in the game. Same, check the developpers playing the game live... they are so terrible at it (by terrible i mean average skill at best)... and it's them that choose the changes to balance it...
Why don't they hire Ayrun, Noob3, Truetalent and Thekller to tweak the game and put it in a perfect state ? Those guys are high skilled, they have 10k+ hours into the game, they know it better than anyone else...
You can't ask average skilled players to find ideas to fix the game. You can be good at developping a good game with a goo concept and bad at playing it/balancing it.
There is no shame to ask to top players some helps.

Yeah that, I feel like a lot of people forgot about it already lol. My hope is something like: For the first minute gens progress at 50% speed, for the next two minutes gens profess at 75% and then after that the game proceeds as normal.
Pretty simple change and it gives the less mobile killers 3 minutes to find people before things start popping hard! Of course the counter argument is this makes the mobile killers like Nurse, Billy and Freddy a lot stronger.
Yes and what about the balance changes in high mobility killers and/or killers that can end chase in less than 20 seconds ?
Also, what about Mori that can kill a game in 1 minute if the killer is tunneling 1 survivor ?
Bringing this new gen mechanic will help killers like trapper, larry, wraith, pig, myers, demogorgon but it will make all the other killers OP.
I know you are asking yourself "why is the clown not in this list ?!". Because a high skilled killer playing the clown is able to end chase in 20 seconds as you can't loop even once anywhere with the "bottle throwing spam".

Gen rushing does not exist, next.
I don't know for how long you have been playing the game but gen rushing is a thing.
Today, High ranks only do gens, sure it's their objective but they don't waste time to do other things (healing, totems, chests). They jsut do gens no matter what.
And why ? Because killers cried so much for 3 years that now they have got so much buff and survivors have went through so many nerf that it's impossible to do side "quests" anymore if you want to go out.
2 years ago, we had time to do everything on the map.
All this is the consequence of developpers listening too much dumb players and being incompetent to balance their game.

Ok. I should not use "cheap mechanics" (guess wth that means) until 3 gens are done. Another rule you have for me?
Fact is the problem is not you. I mean it will be fair from you to not use cheap mechanics till 2 gens are left.
The problem comes from 95% of the high rank killers that camp/tunnel early game, when 0 gen has been done.
So survivors adapted their gameplay and now they gen rush, heavily... sad as use of cheap mechanics bring more use of cheap mechanics... never ending story, if developpers don't do anything, the game will be really toxic and not fun to play.
-

I've nerver seen so much genrush than these past days. I don't know if it's because console players can't do anything but sitting on a gen, but nearly all the game I has were against genrushers. It seems to be even worse than before and even when I apply pressure, gens fly at a steady pace. It kills all the fun and I really don't think the game can be enjoyable anymore for killers.
Yup, the consequences of killers using cheap gameplay mechanics to get 3k+.
When the rank resetted (13th of this month), we (survivors) had 2 horrible days at high rank. Killers were tunneling + camping hook or coming on the hook 10 seconds after leaving it and this in every game we have played even when only 1 gen was done.
So now killers main get gen rush as a punishment. Enjoy your games :).
I also play killer, but i use cheap mechanics only when 3 gens are finished.

It is safe, they can't ban you for using a logitech program to do macro on your keyboard.
They ban script use for macro but not macro created with a 3rd parrty allowed software.

You kind of undermine your own point when you say "camping" is a bad strategy if you follow it with your experience of it getting every killer you played against a 3K+. :)
By bad i mean not fair. Bad because it pollutes the game, it's cheesy to play like this and fun for no one...
But it works, it is the worst point, especially when the camping is not "face camping", you go away a little and come back etc...

What are we even supposed to do in that situation?
Use your brain and map control ?
During the first 3 gens, you can chase/down/hook surv. When 2 to 3 gens are done, then you start to slug, tunnel to get 3 to 4 survivors injured at the same time an to get 1 to 2 kills.
Keep noed, if you apply enough pressure on gens/survivors, they won't do all totems.
Also use Corrupt Intervention to help you getting map control the first 2 minutes.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/180592/still-no-camping-counterplay
There is plenty of "Camping Counter-play" as you call it. Your team works like demons to get other generators and totems done. Some of them could come up with flash lights and double and or triple team the killer to get you off the hook safely. Camping is a call on the part of the Killer. Some do it for dumb reasons, i.e. giving up early game generators to the rest of the team just to get one kill. Some do it for tactical reasons, i.e. the generators are almost done and they need bait. Some do it for spiteful, petty reasons; they got tea-bagged and want to make a point (I do this). Long story short, there is a trade off for Camping that the Killer pays. It is up to you and the others to MAKE one of many counter-plays available when they do it.
Camping is a bad strategy that doesn't work if survivors gen rush.
Leaving the hook 10 seconds and come back to down the unhooked guy and then chase the savior is a strategy that work 100% of the time, especially if survivors don't use borrow.
And last two days, every killer i have played against used it, and got their 3k+.
Tried it today against a good swf (or trioQ). Got 4k.
It's a shame that such a "strategy" is working. Developpers are dumb to call this a strategy, it's not as it always work. It's not mindgame or demonic 200IQ. It's just EZ.
But well, when i saw Mathieu Coté playing the Hag and get bullied, i udnerstood this guy is just a noob who will never know what direction to give to DbD.

New killers i get, its tough out there for them.... but just disable it after 50-100 hrs with killer
Play killer against Red Rank and then come back to create a perk removal thread.
I have stopped playing DbD for 1 complete year cause i found it way too toxic. Came back 3 weeks ago and state of the game is the same.
Developpers are always promising to fight toxicity but their game, all the mechanis inside and the way it is unbalanced, is made for toxicity.
If a tier B and lower killer wants 3k+, he has to be toxic, to tunnel, to camp and use cheesy gameplay mechanic, to use noed.
If survivors want to 2+ to escape, they need to use OP perks combo : DS, DH, Borrow, Sprint Burst and gen rush.
Whatever you play, you are forced to be toxic with your opponent(s) to win the game. Nothing is fair in DbD, NOTHING.
The game has been released for 3 years, i think it's time to rework the whole thing, to keep what is good, to remove what is not good and to change the way it has to be played.

Large streamers like Otz and Tru3 pretty much said the killer cant play "fair" in high ranks or it will be impossible to win in high ranks against any team with more then 2 brain cells. You either have to camp, slug or tunnel in order to win the game besides survivors have all the perks in the world to counter this. DS, unbreakable, deliverance, borrow time etc. Its just how it is in red rank no one cares about either side fun and those who do are the one who will often lose their games this is also a reason why a lot of killers decides to depip back to green rank just so they can have more casual and fun matches
Ye, it's sad that developpers don't care about balancing the game...
High ranks should be the funniest place to play, with skilled killers/survivors that enjoy the mind game etc...
ATM, it's really frustrating, for one side or the other but at the end, it's really rare to have a fun game for both side.
-
Man, PC survivors are exactly the same lol...
To resume the game atm, players who know what they are doing and who are try-harding :
- Killers : nurse, spirit, hag, huntress; strategy is to camp the hooked survivor, tunneling -> pretty boring
- Survivors : all running DS, Unbreakable, Borrow and sprint burst; gen rushing
This is the state of the game in 2020, 3 years after launch.
What developpers needs to do :
- Balance killers in order to make them all even, to bring variety in the killer choice : buff tier B/C killers, nerf tier S/A killers to have all killer on the same efficiency line
- Change the way the hook system is done to avoid camp/tunneling : when a survivor is hooked, the hook disappears and reappears somewhere else on the map, killer doesn't see where (counterpart : lower the time to save the survivor)
- Rework some maps, especially those with too many pallets/windows etc...
- Hooks placement have to be reworked, we need more space between them
- Remove some killer addons (one shot trap, hatchet, Infinite P3 blabla)
- Remove some survivor perks or rework them
- Add a mid-game event to add ~2 or 3 minutes to every game (to help the killer to have more chase time)
- Include a working MMR matchmaking without displaying any rank (implementing visible ranks in every game only brought toxicity and thus in every game - OW, R6S, Valorant, LoL, DbD etc... Toxicity that didn't exist in older games when ranks didn't exist)
With all those changes, there will be more variety in perks/killer choices, less try-hard, game will be funnier for everyone.
But hey, do you know what developpers are busy to do ? Releasing 10€ cosmetics :). That's all.

Console survivors far better than pc survivors and also survivor is definitely same for every platform. Even that playing survivor with pad better than mouse keyboard
Lol ok 😄
The only thing easier with gamepad is doing 360, everything else is slower...

Huh weird. On killer side it's your side which should determine the hits or not (mostly).
Should be like this unless the lag compensation is huge which is the case for DbD.
All my friends playing the game have the same problem. We all have optical fiber with ping around 30ms.
And we get this kind of hit everytime the killer is from russia for exemple : https://clips.twitch.tv/SpeedyHealthyLadiesUncleNox
Ruining the experience of low pingers to give a decent experience to high pingers is a joke.
Playing online deserve a good internet provider, it has always been like this, ppl who want to play online have to pay for a good inet period.
If you want to be competitive at Rallye, you buy a good car, no one comes to tweak it down cause the others haven't got the money to race with a car as good as yours... It's dumb.

2 matches in a row with 4 guys downed and they keep getting up as soon as i grab somebody. do you wanna know the result? 0/4 and entity displeased with "gg ez" in chat.
seriously, what's the purpose on using these crutch perks for survivors? i'm titled as hell right now. 2 sweaty survivor teams with this ugly perk and two times i get genrushed and teabagged at the exit because people can't accept their defeat so they need these "second chance" perks.
Ye can be frustrating but the problem is not the perk.
The problem is the overall balance of the game.
Killers are totally unbalanced. All killers have to be at the same level of danger and it's not the case.
Unbreakable is OP against a trapper or booba for exemple but it's not OP against a spirit/nurse.
I think that developpers have three things to do :
- put down everything on the table about the overall balance and rework high efficiency killers (they have the stats) by nerfing them and buffing the weakest ones
- add an event during the game that has to be done to finish all gens or to open the door to make a game longer (like 2 minutes longer). I gave an idea on my previous post.
- reworking some maps (for exemple The Game) that have way too many pallets/windows/walls (lack of visibility)
Then the game will be in a perfect state.
Also, 2 Kills should become the standard to consider a killer did a good job, 3rd and 4th kills should be considered as bonuses.

Proximity chat. End of.
Any swf group will be talking to each other, so the killer can hear that if they're close enough. You either shut up when killer gets close or you're going to be given away.
Also solos will have the choice to join in those Comms or keep quiet. It also means everyone has more than 3 gestures e.g. I can get a heal off someone without following them for 5 minutes
Lol, no one would talk through the game, we all use discord... and you can't force in-game voice chat so your solution doesn't work.
It's a team based game as survivors... Developpers have to find a way to balance the game even though it is 4v1 and even though the 4 survivors are communicating.
How ? Not my job to find the solution, they earn enough money to have "thinkers" in their team.
Anyway, maybe to add a half-game objective would be a good idea.
Exemple :
- add gaz cans around the map that survivors can take and bring somewhere (to gather them) or let them where they are
- add 3 or 4 "gaz wells" where survivors can drop gaz inside, all connected to a gaz reserve; when fuelling a well with a gaz can, there is a progress bar as when you unhook for each gaz can
- the event is randomly generated in every game. When 1 to 5 generators are done , the remaining generators (or the door) don't have enough gaz to work, survivors cannot repair them (or open the doors), all finished generator are shut down but progression on them is not reset (it's like an event thing with light going off)
- survivors have to fuel the gaz reserve, through the wells, the amount of necessary gaz has to be determined (something that take 1 or 2 minutes for exemple)
- when the reserve is full, finished generators start working again (light on, beautiful things blabla) and the remaining generators can be repaired or the door opened
It will add a new dynamic to the game, killers will have more time to chase, survivors will see variety in the gameplay.
But hey, developpers will never read this post so... :)

Not relying on perks, but takes ACTUAL skill for survivors?
Pallet looping around 1 loop requieres a little skill, looking for the "respect pallet" or timing the pallet right requires skill.
Pallet looping from one loop to another require map awareness and skill.
Flashlight saves require skill.
Dodging hit requires skill.
I have seen many players yelling that pallet looping is unskilled but i play killer and i haven't met many red rank that can pallet loops as i am or as my swf does. It's not even 10% of red ranks survivors...
Pallet looping 30 seconds is ok, pallet looping and holding a killer for 2 minutes is another story.

Sounds like the issue is that you are taking too long after a hook to find and chase a new survivor. As if you were able to down survivors in 30 seconds you could easily get another hook before they saved the previous guy reducing the number of survivors doing gens to 1.
Let's say you need 10 seconds at the start of the round to find the 1st surv.
Chase 30 sec (it's a short one), yo utake the surv, you hook him/her, 10 more seconds.
Then you have BBQ, so you know where they are and you have to cross the map to get to another surv, let's say 15 sec to cross the map then chase 30 sec and again hook, let's say 5 sec.
Total for 2 hooks : 100 seconds.
If they have some tool boxes and let's put in some variables (it takes you a little longer to catch a surv etc...), it's 3 gens done, for 2 hooks.
Not fair at all...

Because most of players are trash, that's why 80% of the threads down here are crap. Most of them should be locked actually...
I have played DbD since end of 2017. At that time, killers were clearly at a disadvantage.
Atm, i find the game mostly balanced. There are some unbalanced things but it doesn't pollute every games you play.
Here are my 2 cents :
- Spirit needs to be nerfed but not too much. A rework is impossible as it would mean to remobe what makes her special to play but nerfige stridor for exemple would be a good start. Some add-ons need to be nerfed too.
- Nurse needs to be reworked as in good hands she is impossible to beat and in average hands she is the worst killer. No idea how to do it but the game needs it.
- Some maps need to be reworked (The game for exemple) as they have way too many pallets or are too big. Also, devs have to add grass or ground fog on "inside" maps to help the trapper (on those maps, traps are way too easy to spot).
- Lag compensation has to be retweaked, killers with high ping have too much range, it's not fair. When playing against russian, i get hit when they are 4 meters away from me (and i have <30ms ping).
And that's all. The game has never been so balanced/good since the clown update.

You have done 25k points in every of these games so i guess the chase is good.
Change your strategy i guess. Tunnel a little more or at least don't hesitate to tunnel/kill a survivors after you have hooked 3 times.
And try to unlock some perks that will give you more time : sloppy butcher, thanatophobia etc...
Continue to play killers, you are on the good way. If you don't rank up, who cares ? You play against good survivors and you do 25k points.
Enjoy and don't take it seriously.
-
A really good nurse/spirit with great perks/addons will 4k almost all the time.
Any other killer will struggle against a good SWF.
I'm playing in a great (even top) SWF. Started to play Dbd again after 1 year off.
Was rank 20, now i'm rank 3 (almost 2), i succeded to exit 80% of my games, maybe 85%... Everytime i died, it was against a spirit with Stridor.
-
It's easy to play killer, the only killers that require skill are Huntress and nurse.
When mastered, those two killers are OP as #########.
All the other killers are easy to play with and you can win against any SWF quite easily in the current meta, even if you are an average killer.
If you continue to think that the game favors survivors atm it means you have never played any multiplayer game at a competitive level and you know nothing. Get results in the ESL on some games and then come to me speaking about it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxuyXVnscmQ&feature=youtu.beWhen it's these kind of persons that work on the project, you understand why this game became what it is now and you can imagine what it will be in few months when they will implement there dumb ideas/reworks.
-
Did you read my previous post ? I say that the game is killer sided.
When the killer is good, even good swf will loose with the current state.
I'm a 15 hours gameplay killer and i can manage to get 1/2k most of the time and sometimes 3/4k against a really good SWF (one of the best i know actually)...
Well, you sound dumb, most of the main killers on twitch have no problem to win games. And yes survivors needs a buff atm. Previous state was ok, balanced with 2k in most of the games for rank 1 killers.
But hey, 15 minutes for killers to find a game, and next patch, the devs are going to nerf survivors again so great, every survivors will quit this game, you will have fun waiting 30 minutes for a game.
And those developpers trying to save the obvious calling this long queue time a bug. 1 year there is a bug in your game that you can't fix ? lol, so funny.
-
Yes, it's because we have had to deal with 1 year of constant survivor nerfs every two months.
There is no survivor anymore. And with the next nerfs, it will become worst. Enjoy your wait time now that you all cried for years

this game has ALWAYS and still IS ridiculously survivor favoured, you should NOT be struggling to win on survivor.it's way, way too easy and requires little to no skill at all, I find it so easy I get really bored of playing survivor now..really struggling to play any survivor anymore.things need to be challenging to be interesting
To claim this you are a big killer noob, plain and simple.
I'm a main surv, playing with high skilled surv in swf and yes i play killer against them in kyf. I manage to get 1 to 2 kills most of the time without camping/tunneling. And sometimes i can manage to get 3/4k... And i'm a bad killer (playing billy, trapper or spirit). I have around 15h as a killer...
All the killers complaining here are jsut cry unskilled babies who obviously have a disease that obviously restrict the brain growth to ask every ######### minute a surv nerf.
Just look @ Ochido, TheKller, TrueTalent on twitch, they play killer and they can rekt swf...

Take the exhaustion "nerf" for example. How has that change anything?
Actually it did help.
Before you ran the risky of getting sprint boosted twice during a single chase, which prolonged the chase big time.
Now at least you only have to deal with one use per chase. Most survivor ######### up when the second sprintburst activated during chase. Sure in the hands of a competent survivor planing ahead in order to use the 2nd burst properly it was deadly.
But from my experience as killer, the second sprintburst ######### most survivors because they suddenly stated runing circles a lot faster, then I switch direction and they dont react fast enough. Voila
My issue with sprintburst has always been that you have to stand nose to nose to the survivor, and then he can still sprint burst away.
It means that most of the survivors you played against are noobs, and indeed most of the surv are noobs, even those twitchers with 100 viewers... They are just bad players, without any brain and any skill.
But then, can you explain me why the killers keep complaining about the balance ?
I have almost never played killer and i SWF with a group of awesome surv, 2 are jukers/sneaky and 2 are pallet loopers. Sometimes we play KYF and with Billy, i'm able to do 25/30k with 2 kills, sometimes 3 kills and this without struggling so much...
So for me the fact that killer mains are crying like babies is a mistery...
