For how long? From the sounding of it it's still kinda meh in terms of killer perks.
For 45 sec. Exept the cd start when you hook the target so if it take 30 sec for someone to leave a gen then the gen will be block for 15 sec. The perk is good on artist and maybe some killer that can traverse the map at the speed of light

you can’t lose half of your hooks because boil over. Sorry, I cant believe it. I know why killers complain about COH or dh, but not for every perk, item, snowmen or anything changed in this game
You can lose half your hook because of boil over you just need to go down close to a cliff and when the killer pick you up just like that you have 25 % of your wiggle bar complete
-
You want better queue time ask the dev to do something about the balance and the hacker when those thing are fix you will see a better queue time
-
In my opinion its dumb that you cant report a hacker. The survivor and the dev won they lost another player
-
CoH wont chamge much the problem with the perk right now is the boon mecanic itself. The only way to make the perk balance is to change the boon or make it like self care but you make the perk like self care the perk wont be played because you dont want to give a free self care to the team becausd they dont know when to self care.
-
Im not playing the event i was dissapointed in the boon answer and the reason twin are getting nerf. I hate to much the way i feel i need to play the game right now and i dont like to play survivor long enough for the queue to be worth the time i pass in game
-
The only way CoH can be balance is a change to the boon mecanic itself. Or they nerf CoH so hard that it worthless to run.
-
The nerf only sound great but its a useless nerf it wont change anything that mean when killer hear a boon they still gonna hard camp and tunnel
-
The only way to make the survivor queue faster is to balance the game. This summer i had no issue trying to find a game as a survivor or killer. Its kinda funny that when they add boon perk as a survivor it take 10 minute before i find a game.

That why its a good Q&A like that you wont feel bad when you uninstall the game for dying light and elden ring

It's become abusive at this point to go Bubba and then ruin everyone's day with toxic gameplay. Every single Bubba I see, is an abusive toxic player. Face camping, etc.
I think a fair nerf to Bubba would be, once you use your chainsaw, add a cooldown of 20 seconds before Bubba can revv it up again. So Bubba's can stop spamming it. Or, if not a cooldown, then change it from AoE, to you can only down 1 person at a time with it.
There is no looping when it comes to facing Bubba. Every single one of them just do their special ability and get to lunge forward with an insta-down AoE (area of effect) attack that downs everyone and anything in it's path. It's easy to control, unlike Billy, who has to charge in 1 direction. Bubba can change directions during the entire special.
Why does it last so damn long? He gets to swing about 10 times with that thing and insta downs everyone.
And forget trying to save your teammates. He can facecamp everyone 1 by 1 and even if you come 3 strong to try and get save, he will just AoE everyone in a couple swings and insta-down EVERYONE from healthy to dying.
Bubba needs a nerf bat. really hard. Shorten the time his special lasts.
I'm at the point now that if I see another Bubba, I will intentionally kill myself on first hook and move on to another match.
Camping is not toxic lol nothing in the game is toxic exept the chat

No because the survivor in the match had the same issue but this hapoen only when freddy is in the game

You can also see an 18% dip in players in August when the sbmm came out so I think there might be a slight correlation.
In august the drop in the player is because the hype for the RE was over the sbmm was not out yet. The sbmm release at the same time of pinhead and that is in september you can see it was the more or less the same for september and october. In november everything change the boon were out and killer are unhappy with the balance so a lot of player leave it could be because of the sbmm too people could have gotten burn out of it.
The reason i believe its the balance is because when they nerf DS you could see an increase of 7% in the player. That why i believe the balance play a huge role for keeping the player actif in the game.

Personally i was up to play some game as killer tonight after one game bhvr told go play something else we have no plan to make the game better for now so i said ok bye

No old freddy was not about chasing people but catching them by surprise. That mean i put you in dream world during the transition i follow you so close that the second you enter the dream world i hit you then old freddy immediatly drop the chase see where you are because of his aura reading when your outside his terror radius then catch you off guard when you less expect it.
Personally i played old freddy so much that i could start my swing before you enter the dream world and the second you were in you got injure.

I'm not sure Patrick understands words. Cutting the grind by a third IN PERPETUITY would not be temporary, it would be a solution that would continue to function unless they reversed it.
Also, why did Peanits act all weird about reading Otzdarva's name? Is he new?
Yeah that true when Peanits mention otzdarva he sound like he never heard the name but i think he was joking as the community menager he should know the name of the biggest streamer of the game and one of the fog whisperer.

Downstairs there is a room with one entrance where a generator can spawn and there is an opening to the ceiling on the other side and like a half wall you can hide behind. I was doing the gen there and two survivors drop in. Then Plague comes in and proceeds to stand at the entrance vomiting repeatedly on the three of us but never moving.
What the heck are we supposed to do lol
The thing that happen to you is not reportable because the plague vomit on all of you then she wait for you to get injure so she could smack all of you.
Piece of advice you guys should have work on the gen if she still stand there you complete the gen and leave by the door if she go toward one of you 1 get down the other 2 escape the trap you guys put yourself into.

The only killer nerfs lately have been warranted but the killer meta still not nerfed. Circle of Healing didn't deserve a nerf. Why use it now, when you can use Self-Care and Botany Knowledge and I don't have to hunt for a totem? The nerf is so bad.
Use self care and botany knowledge you are going to heal yourself slower and you are providing nothing to your team vs CoH you are going to heal yourself 75% faster and your teamate can use it whitout equiping the perk all that because 1 guy bring 1 perk. Meanwhile you bring your 2 perk that work only for you so you generate less value for your team and you. No wonder you think the game is so killer side you dont even how much value a perk that affect the entire team and you dont even know why the perk is so good
-
@jesterkind said:
Well, of course they didn't make any mention on the majority of those things, half of those are terrible ideas.
Regardless- nerfing the heal speed is definitely a good first step. Personally, I don't think it's far enough, but I respect wanting to keep an eye on performances while making small but impactful changes.
Normally that kind of nerf are fine when you do patch every 2 week but not when we know they do patch every 6 week to 12 week. This feel like an eternity in the gaming world
-
Nope the nerf to CoH is not enough for the perk to be balance or making sloppy meta. Sadly for as long boon perk are a unlimited rescourse and killer cant destroy them unless CoH have the same healing speed as self care the perk is always going to be broken
-

I own 29 survivors, but I end up play always the same. The reason is that he's the only one on which I poured the tons of BPs required to unlock all the perks. If I want to play with someone else I just have to use the few random perks they got or going through that painful grind again (and I'm already doing it on my killers, so I think I'm already suffering enough). Which is a pity, because aside from the fact that I paid for some of them, I really like some and would love to play them more and have more variety.
The point, though, is that I find this grind kinda acceptable for killers, since each one is unique and has their own set of addons, but on survivors all this grind feels pointless since they are literally skins.
I wish there was an earnable way to share the bloodweb/inventory between survivors.
I know the issue but for me when im survivor i see that like having multiple loadout so its kinda neat
-
Its not enough for so long you can use the perk an infinite amount of time CoH will never be fair because its affect the entire team

There are console upgrades you know. You won't be able to play on your original Xbox One forever, eventually you'll have to upgrade to the newest console.
I swich to pc last year because i did not want the game to break my ps5 lol. The thing is that game should not tax old gen console like that and when you play certain killer or go in certain map the game was lagging a lot and that was before the twin chapter it only got worse if im not mistaken. A 2016 game should not need a 2021 console to be able to run specially with the low quality graphic this game have.

Thinking how many times Survivors are blessing during the game and how many Hex perks they are going against.
Most of the time I play against 3 Hex perks; 2 of them are Ruin and Noed.
If Boon is going to be breakable I think COH is going to counter Noed completely. Survivors can "abuse" every totem to heal and at the same time gain the advantage of destroying Noed before the end game.
What do you think?
If as a killer i could break boon i womt be using NoeD in all my build right now

This why it's important to actually look at the numbers and not blindly at procentages.
Removing 20% of BT means 3 seconds less, that 12m of distance the survivor can make less.
The toy sword nerf is 0.2m...
Try buffing Lickers tongue from nemesis 20%. It still won't do anything
Chances are that if you play twins exactly the same as before and don't pay attention to the progress bar you won't feel the nerf cause the act of clicking M1 takes longer then 0.05 seconds
Its the same losing that 0.05 can be the difference between getting validated or not or just hitting a survivor who run around a rock or tree.
The only reason the number are bigger in my example its because BT is 12 second instead of 0.25. The perk getting nerf by 20% can make the difference between the survivor making it to the pallet or not.

You guys know our beloved Haddonfield basement house (Myers house), the window upstairs that leads to the little balcony platform, not the one in the corner where you insantly drop down.
Is there some kind of way to pounce with Victor over the window without flying completly over the platform and landing again on the ground? If survivors stand there at the platform it seems you literally cannot land on that platform with your pounce, you always go way too far.
I always do that to every Twins but I honestly also feel bad doing that xD
You need to pounce on the side of the window and you need to be high enough that you drop right in the middle of the window at that point count to 3 and drop because if you stay there viktor dissapear and if you drop to fast your are getting kick. You should be on the other side after but be careful you only have 1 chance to pounce the survivor.
If you cant understand sorry english is not my first language so i will say what i mean in french. Ta juste besoin de jump sur le cadrage de la fenêtre le mien cest de si prend en diagonal

Well, that was pretty funny.
Playing some Myers games, queue up and see the same SWF trio that I just played against. Kind of a mean bunch who sent me home to Haddonfield with two further hook offerings and a really nasty sabo crew.
I dodge.
Queue up again - same lobby.
Leave, wait 5 minutes, go bio, get some coffee.
Queue up again - exact same lobby.
Okay then. I switch to Hag, queue up again - and guess what?
At least I flattened them. Bloody sabo crews and evil offerings.
That call a killer shortage at least in your mmr you have the time to do all that and they are still waiting for you to get ready. The other killer are probably to low in their mmr to face them or they quit or they do like you they dodge them. If they were in the queue for maybe 2 minute longer they would have got a lower mmr killer. Ofc that is asuming the mmr work and all your queue were instant that the other proof

It’s quite… primitive, to say the least, unlike other games where you can just report them, DBD (or perhaps just EAC as a whole) has you record the issue when it happened, than open a support ticket with video evidence.
EAC is not that great of an anti cheat but other game can ban the cheater faster compare to dbd the best example i can give you is Apex legend i sae them ban someone in the middle of a game.
I think its just bhvr being incompetant in that regard. The fact it take so much just to report a hacker push the player to just ignore them and laught it off or just quit because they know its not worth the 10 to 15 minute for something you are not even sure work
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
The nerf barelly even does anything.
it's like 0.05 seconds less charge time. How often is that going to matter?
It's so pointless of a nerf that i really wonder why they bothered.
That nerf is a 20% nerf so saying that change nothing is a lie. That single change in number is the diffence between a hit around a corner or a miss.
Btw lets nerf BT by 20% just to see the reaction of the player.

@TWiXT said:
People on these forums and Reddit are often seen complaining that killer mains are giving up and dropping out, which is increasing queue times, apparently ever since SBMM was released, and even more after the Hour of the Witch (boons) Update.
Personally, I don't really think that's the case, because honestly I believe the reason for longer queues has more to due with how the SBMM system is matching up players, and not for lack of players. Still, this game has been bleeding players on the steam charts since August, totaling about 18,000+ dropping off between August and the end of December last year, and lowering the average players online from 51k to around 40kpe day for just this last month.
What I would be interested in seeing more than anything, is if the complaints that killers are dropping out is substantiated or not. Anyone else want to see a statistic sheet that shows the Avg Killer vs. Avg Survivor population vs. Overall player avg ever since SBMM was released? It would also be nice to see how many players switched roles over that same period of time as well, but that might be asking too much.
I'm betting the statistic will show that, No, killers aren't dropping out anymore than survivors, and that it's only the general population of players that are lowering due to either the seasonal average or if any recent updates have had a negative impact on the game experience overall.
Hopefully the devs already have a few statistic sheets like that, are already working on solutions to stop this bleed asap, and get the games population health back up to where it was.
Either way, It's a statistic I'd love to see to put an end to all of these complaints once and for all. Even more than that, the devs giving us that statistic through their transparency of the issue, would also reassure us, the players, that the devs know where the problems lie and are working hard to fix it.
Would Anyone else be interested in this?
I think its not the sbmm that push the killer away but the CoH being a problem and removing the fun playstyle of killer. You can see a massive drop of player in october just when boon got release and you can see when they nerf DS to the way it is now you have an increase in the player base. So im a strong believer that its not the sbmm that push people away but the lack balance.

I've been playing for a long time and I always thought I understood the reasoning for base speed differences. Ranged or on demand movement usually equaled 110 (Nurse even less), while others that didn't quite fit into those areas were 115.
I was looking at the killers though and, what even determines it anymore? Why is Spirit 110 but Blight 115? Why is trickster and Deathslinger 110, but Nemesis or Pyramid Head is 115? I know you can find the reasonings between them, but it doesn't feel like enough to justify some of these changes. I mean, blight has much more on demand movement and map pressure than spirit, but is also 115.
I'm not saying any of these killers need them changed, I am not suggesting any nerfs or buffs. I am simply wondering what determines the movement speed in the first place, some of them feel a tad hypocritical.
Maybe blight is 115 movement speed because his power was not that helpful in loop during testing.
Deathslinger and trickster are 110 because they can hit you up to 18 meter compare to nemy were he can hit you up to 6 meter if you tier up that not a lot compare to the range killer same with ph its only a 8 meter.
Spirit its probably because her power is really strong in loop so they remove some movement speed to compasante

I dont think its reportable he is not offensive toward anybody and the name is not a obscenity.
The guy use 2 term in a game and put it in his name. I could name myself Tbagging tunneler and it would be the same

You can just play something else the way i understand it the dev want you to play other thing they say civ 5 is a good game so you should try it soon

Even camping isnt enough. I tried everything. Against this kind of teams I can get 1K and thats it.
SBMM is not fun.
Its simple for the hold w just learn nurse or blight its suck that you cant play the other killer you like but the game promote this.
You cant defend gen so its better if you rely on perk like corrupt and deadlock for slowing down the game and noed with bloodwarden or no way out do some miracle in the end game.
Another thing you may not be that high in the mmr but because survivor queue are so long you get put against player better then you.

Im waiting to get a million bp before i get plague. I dont know why but CoH and medkit are hell to deal with so i need something that give the survivor the broken status effect.

Hey, everyone!
How about the idea for a banning system like in "League of Legends". Would there be a Normal/Ranked mode. That in ranked mode that each survivor can ban 1 perk from the killer and the killer ban 4 perks of the survivor.
It might help to get rid of "Unbalanced-/OP Perks" that some think. I guess it would help to give the community more comfyness in gameplay and bring some new perkbuilds, it's a simple idea, maybe they're simple problems about that.
Example:
-------------
Jane Romero, Dwight Fairfield, Feng Min, Jonah Vasquez joining the lobby. Killer [Nurse] joins too. They have to push "READY" if they're all ready. Survivor and Killer have 30s time to ban perks, if the 30s pass, it got revealed which perks are banned. Then it's the usual 60s times to prepare.
--------
Thanks for reading the post, please suggest your opinions in the comments. :)
(Sorry for my bad english, it's not my main language)
It wont work and the survivor will be far stronger i did think about that some time ago. 4 survivor will ban 4 gen regressing perk the killer will ban 4 second chance perk. The thing with that is on paper this look great but the killer cant defend his gen with perk anymore so survivor will smash those gem like its nothing.
Another thing is survivor have better perk overall compare to the killer so the game will be in a worst balance state
