Facecamping is fine in the endgame or if 3 gens pop in 2 minutes but most killers will start nodding and hitting you over and over while your on hook which is unnecessary and thats when i consider it toxic. Btw im not toxic most of the time if a killer was a baby i let them kill me. But facecamping for no reason with 5 gens left is not a good strategy and it's clear there just doing it to destroy that survivors fun.
If your going to facecamp me, you can at least entertain me by spamming your chainsaw or M1

If a killer tunnels me or camps me i click my flashlight and tbag. then they message me calling me toxic. Im sorry but you ruin the experience for me so why shouldnt i do the same to you?
I’ve made the argument exactly the other way. Except clicking and teabags don’t bother me. Pallet blinding is the trick.

The only perk used as much as ruin on the survivor side is self care. By a large margin.
You nerf it down to the ability to use 1 health state and I'd by down with that.

Yep, I sure love tunneling that survivor that got unhooked after I hooked another survivor, kicked a gen, then found them on another gen and downed them after they had healed! I am the best at tunneling. :D
TUNNELER. #triggered #survivorantifa

Regardless of fps, the map is a stinky piece of poop. Constructive critism as follows: Its terrible and cannot be saved, delete it and make a new map. Or don't make a new map. Just delete that map. While you have the delete button handy, don't forget hawkins and Gideon Meat Packing plant.
I have not played a game with a killer or survivor that likes Lery's yet. Maybe there is a couple scratch mirror guys that like it, but the other 99.9999999999999% of players hate it. And there is a valid reason why. The map sucks. In nearly every way that it is possible to suck.
Ruin got nerfed into uselessness because of 80% usage. I can't wait until I stop getting lerys in 80% of my matches. So I can just DC out of that map and not be a rank 16. Don't worry I'm not ruining the match for everyone else, they loaded into Lery's too.

Honestly, after Killer perspectives were ignored and the survivor side was buffed with no change to gen speed or giving killers anything, I can see why.
I have started playing a lot of survivor after 3.5 and I go against the same killers with the same load outs. It makes me switch back over to killer which just feels very "frustrating" (in the words of the Devs). Honestly, I wonder where the game is going.
And this week is especially bad. Lery's 80% of the time. You won't win a beauty contest by putting lipstick on a pig. That map was terrible. After the rework, which improved it, it has been upgraded to very, very bad.
You can put sugar on poop, it will be a slightly sweeter poop.
Lerys should have honestly just been deleted.
-
NOED, hell yeah. A survivor team that cleanses all 5 dull totems has given you the time to get kills. Most survivor teams rush 5 x gens and a claudette or meg will clause one or two for BP.
-
Depends on if the team is popping gens. Its not fun to wreck babies so if there is no progress then I'll play nice, 3 gens get done its on. Really depends on if they have one person who is G2G.

Run NOED duud. Teams want to gen rush. Facecamp their friend with lots of hits. It counters SWFs pretty good. End game chat is usually very entertaining. Survivors get so salty when they don't get a free escape after hitting good skill checks for 3 minutes.

Survivors that cleans a lit totem should have a burn animation (their body would glow like a bright candle) for the rest of the match. They should look stick out like a sore thumb! Would be glorious.
gotta be balanced though. How about Object of Obsession for minute. Blendettes will go to the psych ward. Toxic Survivors get a free 5th perk and don't even know what a gen is.

Did I forget to physically write the IMPLIED "Compared to other killers"?
And yes, I acknowledge curving. Also, no I will not play in red ranks. I am not that sweaty. I am talking about chainsawing someone who is 5m in front of you.
If billy is 5m in front of you and downs you, you were out of position. Killers capitalize on survivor mistakes. Billy is so each to juke in the open, he has to get on your butt and back rev. If you are THAT far away from anything usable, its your fault. Billy is balanced, he suffers greatly on many maps, he can't shut down alot of the infinites out there. He is perfect where he's at.

No. Maps just have no business being 12,000 Square Meters when 70% of the killer cast moves at 4.6 meters per second with no mobility.
Generator speeds are fine, but toolboxes definitely shouldn’t be a thing, as well as perks like prove thyself.
Survivors should have true secondary objectives as well instead of “lol just do bones” because holding M1 on a generator for 80 seconds is quite frankly, boring.
Prove thyself should still be a thing for BP, which is why I run it.

I mean, Noed is insurance but that doesn't mean its a crutch. Yes, itll give a chance for more kills but survivors have a ton of second chance perks (adrenaline, ds, delieverence, dh)
Plus not getting rid of totems is the survivors fault and if they do get rid of it, the killer is down a perk slot. You can go against a killer with only 3 perks by simply completing totems which delay the game by maybe 2 minutes since you wont be on a gen.
But that would extend the game up to a 4th minute. Also totems don’t have skillchecks and are not effected by toolboxes so survivors aren’t into it.
-
I frequently get 3 gens popping by first hook. I camp the ######### out of the first survivor and just hit them over and over and over to bait their team to come in for a team save. 50 seconds later their teammates have finished that 5th gen and come as a team for the save. Since I run NOED I can get 1-3 deaths from this strategy but it’s a different game now. It’s not a lot of points and it’s not fun. The funnest part of the game now is end game chat.
from time to time I’ll bring no stalk PWYF Myers out. Some survivors understand that I’m playing for jump scares. Most just play skillcheck simulator.
-
I don’t like the cosmetics in the rift pass so I think I’ll opt out of going premium this time.

If I wanted to run a late game Hex Perk, I'd run Devourer of Hope.
Just as useless in the early game, but useful in the mid game and if they still can't find it then you just win. None of this nonsense of having to set up a losing 3-gen strat just to get use out of it.
I have had games where old ruin stayed up. Maybe 10 in 500 hours of killer. I have pulled off 4 Moris with devour hope. Once it 500 hours of killer. NOED is by far the strongest hex perk mostly because you don’t get the whole match to bump into it.

Also, don't blame this on Survivors not being able to get the skill checks.
No one complained. Ruin was annoying, but manageable.
You can blame it on killers for using the perk in 80% of games for lack of ideas. Hence the devs had to nerf it. They will nerf all powers that are used all the time.
By that logic self care and sprint are due for nerfs. Hopefully they make those perks totally useless like new ruin. I'd rather leave a perk slot empty than run that garbage.

Have you considered ground camping? Its so wonderful. You can M1 and chainsaw in circles around their body. Plus it takes longer so the survivor team may actually not open the exit gates after they've passed the skillcheck simulator. Many survivors will enter the TR radius and wave at you. The brass balls on that guy. Wow. I bet his cat perk is lighting up and he just flat out ignores it.

Time increase still gives other 2 survivors a lot of time to do something useful (all gens).
Ah yes, the skillcheck simulator. Honestly if that's what you survivor types are into I'm sure there's a roblox game where you don't even have to worry about the pesky chainsaw guy interrupting 4 passed skillchecks in a row. Keep grinding away friend, someday you may even hit a great skillcheck.

Played afew camping Bubba games, and its pretty much guaranteed 2 kills. Went ahead with NOED and blood warden as well, which actually got me some 4ks. Of course you wont get much in the way for points and pretty much guaranteed to depip, but its nice to meme around with a revved chainsaw and do a little dance for your captive audience.
My audience sings to me. I just let the chainsaw rip through them over and over and over and they always have something nice to say when it gently massages their organs.
-
I had a terrible game as wraith on Lery's teleporting backwards. Not sure if it was a ping issue but I couldn't really enter rooms or move forward. survivors couldn't gen rush fast enough. Of course once they figured out that I couldn't really play, they didn't do gens at all.
-
Why would they. You’ve already bought the game, probably every DLC, probably a buttload of outfits, you’re going to buy more outfits, and probably every new DLC. You have expert gripes that would require a ton of expensive attention, and you aren’t new money coming in. They should make DBD pro/II, a new game, with the skilled player in mind. That’s new money. Can’t underperform death garden.
@Mister_Holdout said:

So, ruin is gone. Ruin actually bought killers the extra time we felt comfortable with to "play nice".
Without it, we can still win, but we care a lot less about how much fun you're having, because we don't have time for it anymore. It's not scummy just because you don't like it.
If all those things are scummy, by that logic, so are safe pallets, god windows, flashlight blinds and body blocks.
No, killers should always play nice. Survivors are supposed to abuse the living ######### out of infinite’s, blind at every pallet because the game allows flashlights, teabag at the exit gate and be too wimpy to take a hit. Killers should never tunnel, never proxy camp, never facecamp, never use NOED, and always give the last survivor the hatch. I recommend every killer study the list of unauthorized perks if they don’t want to be shamed in chat. Lastly, why should the killer give the last survivor the hatch? That means three people died. Can’t we decrease gen times to like 3 secs, eliminate skill checks, and put like 4 pallets around the gen? Killers are way too OP. I died in a match like a week ago. That guy was a jerk.
-
I was barely competent with her before rework with distance add on and monitor and abuse. Now I lose chases very often because of the recharge. Killer feels miserable enough to play. Don’t need extra credit.
-
Also since I severely don’t give a ######### about 4k’ing or having an enjoyable experience or providing an enjoyable experience for survivors at the moment I did a little experiment on rotten fields. I chased a pallet camper. The pallet camp used 0 window vaults. He performed zero loops around a pallet and he dropped them before stun 90% of the time. He went from pallet to pallet instead of running through a pallet. So basically the least efficient use of pallets. I was running brutal strength at tier2. I kicked all pallets and chased. 5 gens were done and the map still had 1/4 of the map with pallets. How exactly would a killer counter skilled survivors who can run you for 3 gens using 1 or 2 pallets. Under the most efficient circumstances you can’t get through survivors defenses. All this BS about git gud is dumb. The maps are terribly unbalanced for skilled players especially on the killer side. Some maps are more AIDS than other maps.
again I was not worried about winning so please comment about not chasing 1 survivor for one game, once to see for myself how broken the maps are.

I shall respect your opinion, and the fact that you can think as you wish. However, I do not have the same opinion as you.
There has been a lot of talk beforehand about when nurse was to good, and that it was unfair to go against her, and she was worked on.
There was the time, right after, where spirit was now to good for the game, as her power had no counter play to it, and she was changed.
People complained about Oni's flick being to powerful, and then that has was changed, and now it is at a semi-old state.
So survivors complained about all these killers, and they all got changed.
Many killers, as you have seen in the past few weeks, aren't very happy with this ruin. Why is it ok for survivors to complain, but not killers?
survivors complain at 4x the rate of killers.

This comment is just stupid. Gen speed isn't toxic, lol. I think larger maps need reworked and toolboxes need looked at, though. The devs decided to change Ruin, not survivors. Lets not take our anger out on innocent players...
every thread out there points towards adapting. What’s the issue with face camping. They didn’t do it that much before and now it happens all the time, that sounds like adapting to me.also you get way less points in a game now but as a killer you que up in like 3 seconds and the game only lasts like 3 minutes so I guess the total points are probably the same on a per hour basis. Survivors might go down a bit being that they get 2 games an hour but hey, it was a bold move to give new players a better experience. I guess facecamping is better than hex skill checks. Lol

1.7% of players play optimally and gen rush? I'd like to see this data because you can watch streamers on Twitch get hammered by SWFs and people watch their highlights and say they stomp people but if you actually watch them live you see sometimes the steamer getting stomped.
If you have a good enough PC I'd like to see some footage of you playing in multiple games at rank 1 because it's easy to escape in 90% of survivors games but to 4k in 90% of your matches? Yeah probably against people with under 100 hours but nowhere near people with 500+ unless you pull out a bunch of stupid addons.
Again tell me how you pressure 4 survivors as the Clown on Wretched Shop when they all run to the structure. You getting a 4k in 90% of your games is not telling me how to do it and from experience most people who claim to 4k easily at rank 1 with no issues never post any evidence.
Oh and there is no need to call me a cry baby when I've put effort in my post and not did a one liner "Git gud". If you're going to call everyone who disagrees that killer is too easy a cry baby then leave this forum because I want civil discussions with people, I don't want to reply to people who will throw a tantrum like a toddler if someone doesn't agree with their post.

Lol talking like you get optimal survivors in every game. Half of games are swf, so that's blown your crybaby nonesense out the water. So, with the remaining 50% who are swf, we will split into 3 groups, 2man, 3man and 4man. We will give them equal share (unless someone has data) 17% (rounded) of the 17% of 4man swf, you seriously trying to say that they're all survivor fiends that play to gen rush only? Because that's a fat no! It's my experience that even 4man swf are 🥔 too, I would easily say that 90% of my games end in an easy 4k, leaving 1.7% of players that fit anywhere between 3k and 4 man escape, or attempted gen rush. That's a tiny amount of games.
So yeah Git Gud. Stop tunnelling and camping. Anticipate their move. Mind game. Run non meta perks. Or, you know, play survivor, see how easy it is 😂
I feel like a lot of what you are saying is untrue.

@OtakuFreak said:
When is this perk going to be fixed? It is intended as a defensive perk for survivors when a killer tunnels them. As such, it is essentially an ''anti-tunnel'' perk yet it benefits the survivor even outside this context.
I propose these changes for the perk, in order to ensure it stays in the role of ''anti-tunnel'' and not ''anti-momentum'' or 60 seconds of invincibility:
1) Decisive Strike immediately deactivates upon another survivor being hooked. The killer directly chasing, downing and hooking another survivor (even if it's within a minute) is not considered ''tunnelling'' and thus, DS should deactivate.
2) As a defensive perk, it should allow a survivor a chance to escape and regain their bearings (i.e escape, heal). As such, any aggressive actions such as: unhooking other survivors, repairing generators, or stunning the killer immediately deactivate the perk.
3) Should a survivor hide inside a locker and be picked up, Decisive Strike's effectiveness will be weakened by 50% (to 2.5 seconds of stun). As this strategy ensures a stun, it is reasonable for the strength of the strategy to be weakened.
Thoughts? I'm pretty adamant on the first two being absolute. Perhaps the third one is negotiable... but then again hiding inside a locker with no counter play isn't entirely fair.
i think the new perk will spawn 4 hatched that open as long as 7 or less generators haven’t been repaired. Each hatch will give the survivors and aura and the killer will have the oblivious status. And also have his M1 and M2 temporarily deactivated. The eat ovation will end after post game chat

Why everybody always makes this 30 seconds argument? Is not even true. The perk getting cleanse that quick doesn't even happen that often.
I've had a few games where it lasted the whole match and I 4k'd. I consider Ruin successful if it lasted 2 hooks. On average I would say that I had a hook and a hit before Ruin was gone. The great thing about old Ruin is that survivors would run the map looking for it. Now you have to pressure them off of gens to get any benefit. As soon as its problematic, you can do the same thing 2 minutes into the match and you've likely been around the map enough that someone has already found it in chase or on the way to an unhook. People don't generally walk by hex totems and ignore it. It could be devour. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going into first match with new ruin. Are there easy instructions on youtube to uninstall steam games?
-
Trapper dude. Put on distressing. Survivors get stacks of we're gonna farm forever from freeing each other from your traps, you get devious points. A trapper that ignores survivors and traps the middle of the map is pretty obvious. If the survivors run away and bang out gens, then they are foreheads. Its sad that we all know how to farm. Damn grinding, addicting game.
-
I’ve played no add on no stalking Myers several times. One game the survivors quit the generator simulator and we have bizarre and hilarious chases. The rest were generators, EGC, wait until the timer is up to leave. Then ask if I was trying to have fun in end game chat. So bleed out billy came out to play. Survivors not so happy.

Even as a purple plebeian I find killer to be such a hastle to play, as killer I have to turn off my music and get fully inmersed into it which makes my head hurt after a 10 or 30secs of walking somewhere or doing "nothing". Every match feels tedious and even when I have the upper hand in the match, Survivors make it a struggle to enjoy... Unless Im playing trapper(my main) I find the game to be so impossible to win, whether its ruin/corrupt/pop or all of the above, mind you I try my best to not tunnel and only slug for 4k when I feel feisty, but I just feel so pressured to tunnel/camp people its not pleasant as a killer, IM the one between the rock and a hard place or whatever, not the survivor.... this will probably get lost but someone give me input
I get called a camper and tunneler quite often. Usually the issue is I see a survivor/scratch marks but sometimes I use pop and then come back. That strategy interrupts 3 survivors more often than not. If I down the person who came off hook, I slug them. Map pressure doesn’t come easy. Is it fun? not particularly. I enjoy a good chase like everyone else but I get high ranking survivors who don’t make a lot of mistakes and the other 3 are crushing gens so the only balance is map pressure. TBH honest if I see a team dropping a pallet and sprinting for the infinite in 2 chases. I’m just gonna DC. Y’all don’t need any extra blood points from me. I’m not having fun, I’m out. Ironworks, coal tower, disturbed ward, long wall jungle gyms on every coldwind and red forest, main buildings on cowshed and rancid. Abuse them constantly and GG. I don’t need to give you 5k for escaping, 3k for chases and 3 more gens of objective points. you can play generator simulator with someone else.

Trapper needs a nerf? Like what, no traps? Traps are highlighted into the sky, cannot be placed near walls and pallets? Maybe when a survivor steps in a trap the survivor is trapped for 1 sec, heals one health state, and gets 5000BP. Should we add 1 generator automatically completed or is that too big of a nerf? Can he keep his basic attack? Is he allowed to walk?
-
De ranking doesn’t matter. I would like to play teams that can loop but make mistakes. I don’t want to play SWF teams that are looping gods who can run you 3 gens for a hook or drop a pallet to make it to the infinite while the rest of the team is toolboxing away on gens. There have to be teams between foreheads and toxic SWF. I would just like to occasionally play against them. Not asking for much maybe 1 out of 4.
