Versus solo q, and how good is it against SWF?

That's literally not planetary difference, there are countless videos with a math proving that it isn't so much, I got most of my hits because I got them in a bad position where old DH would work.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3078011#Comment_3078011

No need to pick one because both are the truth.

And why is that killers problem again? You can tone them down to that level and what when killers encounter swf? literally no hope of winning

Lemme hammer this point to you again since apparently you cannot read my posts.

BUFF SOLO QUEUE NOW THAT WE BUFFED KILLER

SOLO QUEUE AND SWF NEED TO BE CLOSE SO WE CAN BALANCE KILLERS PROPERLY

    thank you.

Remember to two hook, and leave the hook so they're more likely to get unhooked unless you get people bming them in front of you which happens often regardless the side I'm on currently lol. Then at two hooks, tunneling each adequately making them FEEL singled-out to make them more miserable and make certain they know you want them to not be able to enjoy playing the game... then leave them slugged out. Follow them, down them again or their heroes to change places instead (if all escape you win because you LOST mmr and still made them suffer, you were completely in control the entire game so do not sweat it it's not about conventional winning it's about the REAL win against the user not the game). Let that occur one by one, adjusting your perks as you feel the need to keep up with the teams you're seeing that time of day. And just rake in the emotional rewards from it. You are literally siphoning their souls, juicy bit by juicy bit, learn to savor it. They wanted change, they got it.

You're supposed to make them suffer, and devs have said on a live old twitch stream flatout at least ONE person per match is SUPPOSED to leave it feeling frustrated, that's the way this cookie is designed toc rumble. Make sure, as before when solo was still playable even if you had to be a right c**t about it to make it through, that YOU are usually not the one left feeling like they'd been cheated out of their time in the match when it's over. Embrace the game's cruel design, and it will remain enjoyable. Just stop trying to play to win if you're not in SWF, killers learned that the hard way and now survivors have to learn it the hard way. The way you truly win is if you're the least miserable user after it's over with, bonus points for making others notably miserable. if that's not the way you wanna play a game, then play Evil Dead since even when you lose it's usually at least a Little bit of fun compared to this. This game isn't about your fun, it's about everybody else's unfun. That's the secret sauce.

"be careful what you wish for, you may get it."

    What.

You are acting like survivors didn't have and still don't have training wheels? I mean if you really want to go that far let's see how every tournament ends, how survivors are playing with nurse? The game is supposed to be challenging, it's 4v1 after all, you can't have give survivors better 1v1

who said anything about 1v1? I don't want old DH back? I want solo queue not be miserable. If you want to buff killers across the board, buff solo queue.

The weakest role in the game doesn't need nerfs. Period.

  • @feruis said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3077990#Comment_3077990

But the thing is that solo q is not that terrible, and you have to understand that it's not because killer is so op, but because solo q doesn't have the information that swf does.

"Solo queue is not that terrible"

"Solo queue just doesn't have the info SWF has"

Pick one. Uncoordinated teams are the weakest role in DBD.

  • @feruis said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3077969#Comment_3077969

But that's literally the difference, basekit got buffed by 10%, you also forgot that best killer perks were nerfed, overcharge was nerfed aswell, and survivors also got basekit buff they were asking for forever. I saw survivors literally greed the loop when they don't have old DH, so I'd say that it is a big difference lmao

All the meta slowdown ATM imo is significantly better versus solo queue than SWF. (Eruption, Overcharge,Thana,Penti)

10% is not a big difference? What planet are you on? I've got so,so many more hits not because survivors greeded a loop but because I recovered faster.

Survivors make quite a bit less distance now after a hit. It's very impactful.

  • @feruis said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3077935#Comment_3077935

Typical answer from bad survivor main, maybe try to learn the game without training wheels and hand holding, them maybe you will get good. Not from my experience, but sheep's will follow I guess.

I've personally not really used DH much for months now. DS is not a perk on my list beyond a bloodpoint incentive.

Solo queue is still horrible lmao.

  • @Roaroftime said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3077922#Comment_3077922

Lol said no solo queue player ever, you’re a killer main.

And yeah everyone’s turning to killer or 4-man SWF now if they want their game to be enjoyable from what I’m hearing.

Yeah I really don't get where the hell the "finally survivor is challenging" mindset came from?

I swear the only way you could have an experience to suggest survivor wasn't challenging is playing SWF.

Even with 16 Dead Hards per team your solo queue Claudette and Dwight are not gonna help you escape.

  • @feruis said:

Nah, for me survivor is still enjoyable, finally challenging.

Solo queue always was challenging. It's the weakest role in the game

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Honestly I couldn't deal with the queue times I'd rather just only play killer at like 3am and then swf with people. Even if they're terrible it's not about winning it's about messing around and not wanting to pull my hair out

Queue times are horrible for both roles for me,lmao. Wish I had people to SWF with, goofing around with silly builds when all of you are goofing is much more fun.

  • @MrMori said:

Ah yes, Circle of Healing + DH validation with phantom hits + Eyrie coming next patch + L + ratio.

Real talk the killer changes in that patch were actually prettu great. I really wish they'd be more willing to give more characters the Plague treatment and improve clunky parts of their powers by tweaking numbers.

Yeah I still love what they did to plague. Makes sense McLean was working on it lmao.

But yeah CoH was the one busted thing about it

  • @squbax said:

Idk chief, that update did kill deathslinger, altho for example im very positive about the spirit changes and the new music, also a fan of the perk changes, bhvr gutted slinger.

Insta-scope slinger needed to die. I'm not against him receiving a buff in the future but both insta-scope and him being a better stealth killer than Myers was stupid.

  • @Laluzi said:

There's a couple of good changes. Off the Record is the no-brainer answer and I really like how the stealth aspect lingers, but new Jolt feels pretty nice to use too without it being a no-brainer on every killer, and Eruption tentatively feels viable as a gen regression choice. And new Botany is great as long as you weren't using it with a medkit (in which case your perk is now dead, and the decision to tack on the penalty is still highly questionable to me.) Lucky Break was already very good but got an internal way to recharge, so did Distortion, and Lethal got a good aura stacking effect that makes it not completely worthless for the rest of the match. And I haven't had a chance to try out Lightweight yet, but that looks like it could be great on a stealth build.

Of course, there's plenty of perk changes that totally missed the mark and I feel you there. Calm Spirit, Coulrophobia, Dark Sense, Inner Focus, Pharmacy, Sole Survivor... and stuff like Tenacity or Saboteur still have places in niche builds but didn't really improve despite their buff.

The penalty was an extremely good change. Thematically it makes zero sense, but balance wise you have to realize what would happen with green medkits. I still hold the opinion that Botany is kinda busted right now with CoH.

Eruption is a perk I feel affects solo queue much more than SWF - dont like that.

  • @Yffriium said:

I'm tired of seeing so much negativity here. In my opinion, the update has been mostly fine. The perk, map, & gameplay changes have allowed me to have more fun recently. My favorite change comes with the new tiles added on some of the older maps, giving us new loops to learn.

What do you all think is the best feature brought by the update?

Macmillan tiles feel neat. Wish the progression rework was cooler. Everything else is meh.

  • There are many things that BHVR could add in extremely short spans of time that would be super good for the game. Makes you wonder why they dont do it..

  • @Lecruidant said:

It hasn't worked in general. Because there's no backbone to the MMR system. You escape a trial? You gain MMR. You lose the trial? Even though you did 3 gens, unhooked 3 people, looped the killer maybe twice? You still LOSE MMR. Same goes for Killer. Could have Iridescent in 2 categories and still "Lose" by people getting out. So you lose MMR. You gain it though if you camp and tunnel people out. So once you hook you can afk in their face and the system counts it as "Skill". This is why MMR isn't "Working". I generally bounce around the maps unhooking, healing, looping, and doing 2-3 gens. I'm being matched with people who have 20 hours. The system is flawed and I want the old system back.

Agree, tbh. As much as Rank 1 was a mixed a bag,it wasn't THIS much of a mixed bag.

Do you know what bodyblocking is? Happens quite alot on my mmr level.

Anyone who says "on my mmr level" is always bad at the game. MMR is meaningless.

  • I would wager it's time to leave DBD as a solo queue warrior. Otherwise SWFs are still going to be just fine.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3072574#Comment_3072574

Oh yeah, but that might be related to it being pretty much broken.

Yes but my post was about them not ever mentioning that it could work like that, not the bug

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I think it's broken. It has been 100% survivor all day.

  • @fulltonon said:

Tbh I'd choose 100% for one side over 50-50 for both side.

It could still be 100% on both sides. Since there would be a need for both Killers in your MMR bracket and Survivors in your MMR bracket. Those 2 are independent.

  • @Deathstroke said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/335362/did-they-fix-oni

Oni is still weaker than nurse and blight even with bug so if you want to like play fairly agains't survivors don't play either of those killers. I think this bug should stay and they devs should buff oni even more starting with his power would be good start.

I honestly feel like they could buff the base blood orb amount. Second part though? Eh....

Maybe increase his power if he has been in chase for like, way too long to counter something like GIdeon-Predrop-Plant. Otherwise,no.

  • What? The hell?

One thing I will agree with,is please for the love of GOD FIX THE HEALING HITBOX. The amount of times your attacks just get scammed out of existence when a survivor is healing someone else on the ground is stupid.

    Dear BHVR

if someone calls me a slur in the endgame chat, I would like the option to report them, or at LEAST see what was typed to avoid that player appropriately.

Not being able to tell if someone typed out (I cant even use an example but you understand) full blown homophobic, transphobic or racial slurs, as opposed to calling someone a dickhead or something innocent, is unironically harmful to your LGBT players.

I havew had nice, wholesome interactions in the endgame chat over the years, and even met lifelong friends, id hate to lose that unique bit of post match interaction because you cant moderate your own product in a normal way, by having an actual report/ban system.

I'm still baffled by how many slurs are regularly written in the post-game chat, get censored and nothing happens... Surely sending slurs should just ban you...?

  • @ByeByeQ said:

I'm glad Dead Hard finally got nerfed. It was long long overdue.

    Is it dead though?

It might still be the best exhaustion perk in the game, especially in chase. No other perk is on demand and it can still be used to absolutely rob killers and extend chases. I had a Nea wreck me pretty good with it earlier.

Other exhaustion perks are often more like getaway perks. If a survivor uses their Sprint Burst, Lithe, Balanced Landing, Smash Hit or Overcome well enough, the killer has an easier time giving up on chasing that person for now to look for better opportunities. Especially when used by a healthy survivor.

Not so with Dead Hard. The killer just hit the survivor and is still in pretty close proximity to an injured target.

Victor still quivers in fear of the inevitable boot to the face he'll get after getting blocked by Dead Hard.

Hard disagree. SB was on par with DH before. Now DH gets countered by being in deep wound, has no distance and is extremely short.

It's on par with Overcome if not Smash Hit on the useful scale now.

  • No. STBFL is a niche, but powerful perk which can create good gameplay scenarios. Stop.

  • If anything they should have nerfed the iri shard cost and buffed the BP bonus, lmao.

  • Full agree, With the new progression system Shrine should have substantially increased BP bonuses. Not decreased

  • Yeah it's so slow... It was even worse on the PTB when it constantly glitched to Level 1 before going to the actual level. If you're going to force us to go through more levels at least make it faster.

  • Hey this got implemented. Neat!

In a lot of situations, yes. Not in all. I really enjoy Hope for endgame looping.

  • It's really impressive that one of my main reasons behind feeling demotivated to play killer are hackers. They've been so common and look like they're on the rise again.

  • @SleepyWillo said:

I always avoid pc players because so many of them cheat. The other day I see 3 console/not steam players in the lobby and go to the bathroom. Come back and game just started. Everything is going fine until I'm trying to down this Meg. Damn she's amazing! I have over 5k hours on killer and she's making me look like a fool on Billy. I'm losing her every chase. It wasn't until I get behind her to chase her to a pallet that's far away and notice that I'm not catching up to her at all. I press esc to see what's up and OF COURSE the one steam player I let in is cheating. She had built in quick and quit without the perk. Lithe, etc. I thought I knew all 4 perks she was using from chasing her and she didn't have a single one. I just thought it was funny that the 1 steam player that slips by me is of course cheating.

Epic Games Store sitting there 🙅‍♀️

  • Hopefully this clears up the tons of misinformed people talking how BHVR just needs to switch from EAC.

  • @SkeletalElite said:

I don't think there's a huge issue with the movement bonus stacking, the only other perks that you can potentially stack it with are dark theory and hope.

both of which are bad perks and even if this one perk combo makes htem slightly more useable it still wouldn't be as strong at ol reliable ds bt dh with 1 more meta perk of your choice.

I think Hope is very decent. Only change it needs is either "pause on hook/when you're downed" or extend the duration.

I can 100% guarantee you made that person's day right there.

Also I'm really curious on why exactly you focus on that part of the event? Like is that REALLY the most important part? Not Behavior Interactive the giant company failing at implementing BASIC server side checks that,no,you cannot have 2 billion perks and bring cheated offerings?

  • @Mozic said:

I think it's neat, though I also think it'd be a nightmare for killers trying to identify the difference between someone utilizing subtle speed hacks and someone using this perk. Maybe it'd need a deactivation condition like not working while injured, or at least being thrown onto a cooldown while injured?

I suggest this because I don't think the current programming of status effects would be intelligent enough to recognize "double exhaustion" and deactivate the perk along those lines.

I'm sure they could manage it.

  • Updated the original post with a more detailed version of the perk + changed a few things.

  • @kizuati said:

The infinite trials in the fog have taught you to always give the run more than what your body is capable of.

Perpetual Runner permanently afflicts you with the Exhausted status effect.

Your vault speed is increased by 3/4/5%. You gain a permanent haste bonus of 0/1/2% to your running speed. Your falling stagger is reduced by 5%.

I think this could be a potentially very fun perk for experienced runners who dont want to W across tiles with a giant speed boost and instead try to do their best at the weaker tiles.

The evil version of this perk - Remove the Haste bonus but make you be able to vault a window 4 times instead of 3 before it gets entity blocked.

  • @ihateboons said:

When I read the words "Perpetual Runner", my brain immediately thinks Parkour, because I rarely see them stop to catch their breath.

The way this is worded, it won't stack with any exhaustion perks(which is good) and it shouldn't stack with Hope, since the amount would actually be OP(Example: Iron grasp/Agi/Mad grit can be out run with just Hope alone)

Increase the stagger reduction(but not the sound like BL) to at least 25%.

As a killer, you would just have to play around the extra vault speed and maybe if they have a Dark Theory boon, but since their Exhausted there's no reason to run any other Exhaustion Perks.

    @jesterkind said:

    I like this idea!

I'd be wary of the flat movement speed buff unless it explicitly can't stack with other buffs of the same type, but in general I like the idea of being permanently Exhausted in exchange for buffs.

I think it stacking with some Hope is fine to be perfectly honest. It's going to be,let's see 109% with Hope? Really not that huge of a change, especially if they can't SB/DH away. This could be really interesting together with Dark Theory/Vault Build to create some kind of really godlike setup perhaps, but I think it would be very obvious that this is what you doing to any half-way-experienced killer.

(The fact that you can outrun agitation is fine in my opinion,it's not intended to backpack,as much as I would love it to)

As for the stagger reduction,I would be very careful about increasing it. I want it to be as a slight QoL thing, not something that can make certain setups like Haddonfun/Dead Dawg hellish for killers.

  • The fact that y'all think such a silly and underused perk doesn't need to be buffed slightly to not get completely countered by a status effect is kind of sad.
