  • "The screaming and madness is nowhere near as annoying as people make it to be and to me it makes the games more fun and interesting."

That's your opinion, and your opinion is obviously skewed because you obviously enjoy annoying other players. My opinion is:

I don't care what map it is, if it is a doctor the match will just be annoying. That's what he does. Annoy you to death. Worse than that, this is how killers that use him play. Even when you have full insanity they are still trying to shock you just for the annoyance of it.

He's not fun. His power has too many bonuses that are too useful on certain maps and with certain perks he is one of the most oppressive and powerful killers in the game.

Let me reiterate. He is NOT fun to play against. He is ANNOYING to play against. This is my opinion, but I hate when I have to use him for a daily ritual or a tome challenge because I feel bad for annoying everyone. He feels cheap and makes me feel like I am cheating.

  • No, there is not enough sex appeal.

This isn't a game for children, so if you are too young for the less than PG 'sex appeal' that already exists you should turn off the game and go admit to your parents that you done wrong.

I find this idea LUDICROUS. This is a game where one side violently slaughters the other, and some people are worried about 'sex appeal'?!

  • Trapper should start with more traps. Like 5+ and be able to carry that many.

He should be twice as fast as he is at setting a trap and resetting a trap.

Half or more of the traps on the map should start setup when the match begins, and his add-on for disarming traps he walks through should be basekit.

  • Were you injured? It worked for me three times just last night. Using PS4 version on PS5.

  • I would like the addition of a "I don't want to go to this particular map" voting checkbox, that would lower the odds of that map in particular or completely remove it as an option without someone bringing an offering.

But the thing is, as far as i understand it, hidding is participating in gameplay.

The reason why its bannable that i read is holding the game hostage, because 2 survivor can hide as long as the match went on.

And thats the strange point. If both hide, it becomes bannable.

if only one hides, he is the clever one using the superior tactics.

so if you try to use this tactic, it being superior of bannable dont depend on you, but on the actions of your teammate.

Also, we all know that reporting without video evidence does nothing. If you dont run bond, how will you get it? I run bound, thats why i see my teammate doing nothing, but for how long do i have to record it, and most likly, i record myself doing nothing but watching that survivor.

I understand. The only thing I can say about that is it is about time we get that basekit unbreakable and instant mori they were testing. This two man situation needs to end sooner rather than later.

If they made the basekit unbreakable unmodifiable (no perks affect the timer) and immediate (you don't have to recover at all you just get up when time is up), and added that instant end of game condition then the game would be a much better place than it is right now.

As it stands, the killers focusing on tunneling and creating this impossible two man situation are the majority of killers and they are ruining the game for everyone.

So, my advice is that you should keep playing normally, just plan on dying, and wait for BHVR to fix it. I found that once I accepted I was going to die most of the time, my matches were much more fun and escaping, especially those time where my death helps the others escape, are that much more rewarding. I don't bother with video evidence against the frightened super stealth survivors, but I sure as heck will go out of my way to make certain that a cheater who works with the killer gets what they deserve.

  • @TunnelVision said:

    1. Become one with your inner rat.

If your teammate is hiding and not contributing; lead the killer to the locker and point at it. You will be surprised how many killers will give you hatch in this scenario.

This is called "Working with the killer" and is definitely as bannable as "Refusing to participate" if not much more bannable.

It is not YOUR job as player to punish your team members for not participating. Do your part and report them for "refusing to participate" instead of falling well below that and actually flat out cheating.

In my opinion, and I hope the devs as well, refusing to participate is a learning experience. Survivor is scared and doesn't know what they should do. They need to learn to participate and if they get a punishment it will probably be something small and will teach them that their behavior needs to change.

Cheating by betraying your teammate to the killer, on the other hand, is the absolute worst thing you can do besides hacking, and deserves an enormous ban right off the bat.

If you want to leave the match because the other survivor truly is not doing anything you have three options. Do gens, you are sure to get downed and bleed out, get hooked and die, or actually you could escape. Go afk, and get some water. Though you are risking the same thing that the other survivor is risking. DC and take your instant punishment. This will give the other survivor a chance to escape though, so it is not ideal.

In these situations I prefer to try and do a gen, try not to die, and most of the time I root for the killer as I lay bleeding on the ground or dying on the hook. Don't cheat, it is much MUCH worse than hiding.

And I hope you are not using bond to shake off the killer, op, that is exactly the same thing.

  • I actually put a bug report in for them, and yes they are bugged. I couldn't find them on two maps at all, one of which was the Saloon. I had an AFK killer for that match so I was searching that tiny map most of the match and never found it. It just never spawned. It never gave me exposed so it wasn't the simple solution that it saw me and disappeared. I bug reported it but who knows if they will figure out why it doesn't spawn sometimes.

However, they aren't bugged on every map or maybe it is that they aren't bugged every time. At any rate you can complete this it will just take some time. Good luck!

  • Mustard with the optional ketchup. Sometimes spicy mustard like horseradish mustard.

  • On certain killers that I did not prestige before the update, I had used iridescent shards to buy their perks. They would look something like this as I leveled them up to P3 after the update, but once I made it past the perk level I had bought in the shrine, they self corrected.

My guess is you bought those perks in the shrine, and that you need to actually go look at your killers/survivors and see if this is just a visual error on the leveling screen or if your shared perks are actually not leveled.

To be clear what I mean, go to Trapper (or whomever you haven't bought all perks on) and see if he has tier 3 A Nurse's Calling. If he has tier 3, then it is just a visual bug. If they don't have tier 3, then you should be putting in a bug report/help ticket.

  • The tomes are filled with bugs. I just finished my last survivor challenge yesterday, and I can confirm there are a lot of problems with the game not counting progress properly.

For instance, yesterday I was working on a "Sacrifice 10 to the Entity" tome challenge. The first game I got two sacs, it counted one. Second game was three sacs, it counted two, next was one and it counted, then I got four sacs and it only counted three... This is the tome 12 challenge, which was blocking my last survivor challenge of healing with Claudette. Not all the bugs counter progress, I finished that challenge off because someone DCed and it counted as a sac.

The point is that even the new tomes are riddled with bugs. I would not be surprised at all if Rebecca specifically cannot complete challenges in the Tomes, or that she cannot complete that specific challenge. I stopped being surprised that the progress isn't counting properly a long long time ago.

  • @Jasonsfar said:

    Bring a yellow mori

Does that even work for the achievement?

I feel your pain OP, it is made more difficult by players exploiting a system that should not exist. You should be able to mori someone right inside the locker. Imagine the cool animation they could add of you stabbing the survivor against the wall of the locker.

  • In my opinion, it's clearly a nerf to SWF. You aren't going to set it up that often without comms. Makes you wonder what other little tricks they are going to 'fix'.

  • Hmmm... You brought Franklin's Demise to deal with toolboxes? Do you think they still last for enough time for you to even touch one survivor? They are gone before you reach the survivors, so stop wasting your perk slot. Franklin's is good against medkits, flashlights, and maps if you are worried about your totems, but toolboxes will all be spent unless they are using Built to Last, and in that case I don't think you can do a thing about them repairing the toolbox.

Also, you are playing Trapper. He needs some serious buffs, so even if they weren't rushing you are going to face some difficulty simply because his power is too slow.

So, you lose. Go on to your next match then. Expecting the devs to balance based off of this complete extreme is asking for them to break the game so that ONLY SWF that do this will even have a chance at winning.

  • For bots, after you've got them up and running, BHVR, you seriously need to consider adding them to the live game, to replace players that DC or go AFK. Every DC/AFK match could instead of being a total waste of time, be a potentially fun match. Have the bot take over the killer/survivors that do this with their perks, items, and add-ons.

For those of you worrying about blinds, there is a simple solution that is also more OP than you remember, Lightborn. Just because the top streamers or whoever you follow doesn't say it is META, doesn't mean it isn't. It is so much better than you remember, being able to see the aura of a blind attempter tells you exactly where to go after you finish that hooking or breaking that pallet.

I've been the victim of more than one of those cheats in game, and I'm really glad you are getting them fixed, BHVR.

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

Thing is, this one explicitly states 'drop 2 pallets to stun the killer'. Blastmine absolutely is a blessing for just stunning challenges, but this one is... demanding pallets.

Yeah, just saw that. You could bring Any Means Necessary, my son loves using that one. GL!

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

The way a lot of people are playing this is a challenge that is neigh impossible to do, even for veterans. If you are not up against someone completely new to the game or have a killer out for farming, most killers will just avoid pallets/stop in time to avoid the stun.

So... look, we know you are trying to make the game as frustrating as possible, but you gotta cut the community some slack from time to time.

Okay, jokes aside, but a lot of these challenges (and for the new tome this is only lvl2!) have become neigh impossible the way people play right now. And it's not just stun challenges. Healing oneself and/or others? Often out of the question.

Unless you are in a full swf and can sorta coordinate. meaning these challenges can feel like a big screw you towards solo

For the stunning the killer challenges I bring Decisive Strike, Head On, Blast Mine, and Quick and Quiet. I know your frustration, but this is what works for me. If you can get a friend to set up a Head On or two for you it makes this so much easier. I hate that most of these challenges don't count blinds.

For the healing others I bring a Botany Knowledge, We'll Make It, We're Going to Farm Forever, Built to Last, and a good Medkit. The trick here is to attack the injured survivors until they let you heal them. Don't be the soloist that is stalking the chase though, if players notice you doing nothing they will run from you and your sandbagging ways. In other words, do gens until someone is getting hooked. Unhook chase them down to heal them and repeat. You might also lobby dodge lobbys you join solo that have no medkits besides your own. This screams Boon: CIrcle of Healing. Survivors are happy to let you use your medkit to save their own for later, but if they have boon they will heal themselves more often than not. I'd also dodge groups of three or four medkits, because if the killers are paying attention and don't dodge that themselves they are either not going to let you heal or they are going to Franklin's your medkits. You can still work with that, but it will make the challenge more difficult for you.

  • My son and I were discussing this, because as survivor I never see the killer have as much trouble as we sometimes have with specific survivors. So, we have a feeling that one of the auto-cheats, like auto-dead hard, is a auto-great skill check hack.

Just a theory, but the fact that some survivors always seem to hit every single great wiggle check (which is what causes the lurching when you carry them) making it nearly impossible to carry through a doorway seems very suspect to me.

If it is a cheat, I hope one day BHVR does what is necessary, and that you cheaters are permanently banned from every online game on your corresponding system.

  • I heard you have to play a match in PUBG. So does that mean you get a unique code or is it a universal code?

If it is universal, can someone post the code here for those of us that don't want to download PUBG, please?

  • The problem is this creates and fullfills the prophecy (you know, self fulfilling prophecy). By making her have the most cosmetics, they are also making her the most played which justifies giving her the most cosmetics.

If all of the survivors had as many cosmetics as Feng, the number of Feng mains would be much less, and they would definitely make more money.

Then again, if they hadn't turned in game Kate into a monster it might have made an impact on this as well.

    Kate (2).jpg

As the camera rotates you also see that her lips are like duck bills. This is in game, right now, on almost all of Kate's cosmetics.

    Feng has very little competition.

  • I had fun with it on Hag. Not so much on Legion. My son had a lot of fun using it on Scratched Mirror Myers.

I really wish it didn't replace your power, because there are so many killers that could really use the rush but they need their own power right after hooking. For instance, you are hooking a survivor with Executioner and another one unhooks directly after you hook. Which would you prefer? Two hits or to hump them?

It makes for funny moments I guess.

Were they P1 level 50? As it's only Level 50's that are getting the catch up prestige.

Nope, They were P1 - 0. I guess that explains it.

  • @Mandy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3224985#Comment_3224985

The catch up is not for P3 characters, but those characters that were Level 50 P0/P1 & P2

I had many characters that I P1d before 6.1 that did not recieve the extra two levels. My entire list of survivors besides my three mains as well as almost all of my killers. Only the two killers that were P0-50 that received three tiers from 6.1 also got the two bonus tiers.

  • I say this every time this comes up, Franklin's isn't fair.

If the survivors had a perk that would eat the killer's add-ons they would throw a fit, but they are perfectly find with wasting the blood of the survivors.

Also, White Ward doesn't save an item that isn't in your hands when you die, so Franklin's goes around that. Again, imagine you as killer bring a black ward and the survivor hits you with a pallet and deletes your add-ons. WOULD THAT BE FAIR?!

    NO! It is not fair.

  • It is worthless. If I could wait one minute longer and get a match with a killer/survivors that aren't so new they don't even have the perk slots unlocked yet, that would be great. Instead it is instant queues on survivor because the killers are waiting too long for matches.

I offered my advice before they did MMR, because the rank matchmaking was not a fair system either. Give weight to all the perks items and addons, and then add the survivors together and divide by four to match with a killer of a similar weight. It is definitely a better system than what we have now or had then.

The problem is that if they ever actually did this they would still use the thing that is broken from MMR, where it will just ignore everything and toss you in a match because you've been waiting long enough.

I remember waiting 30 mins for matches, and other than the number of books I went through doing that it sucked, but I am patient enough to wait a few more minutes if that means the game will be more fair.

  • Gens take 90 seconds, if you let them get to 88 seconds, that is your fault. You need to understand that you have the power role. Either choose to bring something that does more damage to the gen, or choose to commit to the chase and lose that gen. That is your choice. The devs don't need to fix what you perceive as broken just because you refuse to adapt to your weaknesses.

Two of the many solutions that you refuse to use, Jolt or Overcharge. Also, Brutal Strength wouldn't hurt if you run into this all of the time. As long as those solutions exist and there are killers out there willing to use them, the devs CANNOT balance off of your choice to hinder yourself. Think about that for a second. You are choosing to make the game harder for yourself because you refuse to go META. I also refuse to do the META, but unlike you I am not here asking for the survivors to be nerfed because I choose to play fun builds.

Play your fun builds and have fun, or do the META and sweat it out. Make your choice.

  • I like this. Currently the thumbs up button does nothing for the community because the person you thumbs up never even knows you've done it.

Make that award blood or shards to the player and you've got an enormous change to the way this community interacts. It needs to be visible on the end card though.

    GOOD IDEA!

  • They asked this question in one of their recent surveys, and I said NO! I don't want time limited cosmetics. Apparently not enough people agreed to get them to stop this idea.

  • To say this game will never evolve is to say you haven't been here long.

There was once a time when the game would literally last for hours while the killer stood on the hatch waiting for the last survivor. The game we are playing now is so different from that that I would say it has evolved for certain.

Now I can understand what you are saying, there are tons of people here (on the forums) that cannot fathom the need for change and how it out weighs the need for you to keep playing the way you want. These people will loudly go out of their way to decry anything that threatens their position, but that doesn't mean their points are even going to be considered as helpful feedback because in the end the devs will decide what is right for the game. What is right for the health of the game is to end the slugging and to end the game when all four are dead or dying.

  • Lithe. SB is worthless because you can't run to do anything without wasting your haste. I never used Dead Hard because it always felt like a crutch, and it is even more of one now. Balanced is good but triggering it accidentally happens too often - oh that single step was high enough fall to trigger it...

    Lithe is the best.

  • @skylerbound said:

I had a match I got tunneled for being a double digit prestige(killer told that’s why he tunneled) and I got max chase very early and ran him for a bit longer after that. Zero gens went. I got pallet saved and ran him again for a bit. Zero gens again.

I, then, got one hooked to death as he camped which no one tried to save… and 1 gen was completed that they tripled and then contemplated saving before the entity took me.

I observed after and apparently all 3 of my teammates were more interested in going for saves than doing gens which the killer read correctly the killer 4k’d with 4 gens left to do.

as unfun as being slugged on the ground or tunneled can be. This is the worst feeling when you know the killer overcommitted and should have been punished for it but you’re teammates aren’t doing anything.

Hmmm. It sounds like you were using windows of opportunity and/or bond and trying to shake the killer off. If I was this killer I would have happily camped you after you ran through the entire map of pallets and used them all up so your teammates have nothing left to use, and then easily kill the other three because you used all their resources...

That's just what it sounds like to me. If you ran the killer towards the survivors and they were even slightly wary of you they stopped working on the gens. That's the way soloers often do it, because they have to fight their teammates to escape even moreso than they have to fight the killers. It would be great if we could stop this mentality but the first thing that needs to end is the idea that shaking the killer off is even remotely fair. Don't lead the killer to the others. If I see a survivor on a gen while I'm being chased I will purposefully back track so the killer isn't shaken off, even if that costs me a hook. You need to be a team player not a solo newb.

  • I always use lithe unless I am working on a stunning challenge, this is not happening. You were lagging. I always get grabbed and hit in a window when the killer has that option. Even when I am ten feet from the window after a lithe vault it sometimes gives the killer a hit through the window. If there is ever a question of who did what first in a lithe vault situation, the killer clearly gets priority.

So, you were lagging, and that is what happened.

  • If you reported them on their personal systems, you did what you could. I don't know about Steam, but I am 100% certain that PSN doesn't hesitate to ban players for slurs outside of game.

I personally have all methods of communication to strangers blocked on PSN, so I don't have to waste time getting these morons banned. I never had to do it for any other game but DBD has a community filled with upset people.

  • I wouldn't say this is 'all the game needs' but yes, it would help if they at least cut the randomness down to only a few balanced maps.

I am sick and tired of Midwich with only a couple hooks on the bottom floor. It isn't fair at all.

  • @fulltonon said:

There is thousands more situations where killers needs to slug without abusing it in any way, it will affect them, and it will be game breaking.

Anyone saying "it won't affect normal match" just don't know enough situations that can happen in a game.

Sure. That is correct. However, out of those thousands of situations there are exactly zero that equate to the griefing of making a survivor bleed out for 4 minutes. None of them. So fix the slugging, then fix the problems that the fix will create. Don't leave a broken system so broken that it is used to harass other players.

  • I have seen this first hand too, and it is definitely MMR related.

So, if your killer MMR is needed more than your survivor MMR, you will see a bonus on the killer side. If your friend's killer MMR is even more needed than that, they will see an even larger bonus.

  • @BlightedDolphin said:

I'd much rather they just remove them so they stop appearing in my bloodwebs.

Yeah. I don't want to buy something that is literally worth less than it costs every level.

I hope you are listening BHVR. Your idea to change the mori offerings isn't good. I can get 20k from bringing a basic yellow xp offering easily, I should not have to jump through hoops to get it from an iridescent offering.

Just cash them into refunded blood, and scrap them from the bloodwebs completely.

  • Sorry, it is a trophy/acheivement called Outrun Evil.

  • Let's be clear. This is not an US VS THEM situation. It is about balance. You should not expect to get something for your main just because some problem is fixed for the other side.

That being said, a new problem will arise from Unbreakable basekit, and that is Tenacity. Imagine a Tenacity Unbreakable build in a full darkness offering. You'll never find their bodies after you down them before they can get up.

The solution is to make Deerstalker basekit as part of this update.

  • The crawling out of the hatch challenge will also need a rework.

  • @FriendlyKiller said:

I'm in a 3 or 4-man swf. We all run Unbreakable and Dead hard. When we go down we make sure it's under a pallet with someone else standing by. Maybe with a beamer or flashbang.

The killer now has 22 seconds before we recover to......

.......Do what exactly? Injure the other survivor and chase them away? What if there's more than 1?

Oops. You thought about it too long. Now the survivor you originally downed is up and running around again.

    This can happen infinite times.

Maybe we have Power Struggle/Flip-Flop as well, just for good measure.

How does someone even think an idea this bad into existence?

Lightborn. Mad Grit. Iron Grasp. Agitation. Awakened Awareness. Starstruck. Stop slugging and hook them. Play Executioner if you are so afraid of carrying them around.

These changes will literally change the game in a positive way. It will not be the same thing anymore. If you are one of those bastards that leave one or more survivors slugged for four minutes every match just to bait others you are going to have to adapt.

  • A give up button if you've been slugged for half your health bar sounds fair and would be a nice addition.

On the other hand ja leave the game option because you are upset, that will just be abused by the same players that are DCing and suiciding as fast as they can. The game isn't over just because you were found and downed and hooked in the first minute. Sit on the hook and wait it out. Just because you can't use your Deliverance doesn't mean the rest of your team won't save you.

  • Killers don't need a drastic overall change like this.

Also, killers already have unique powers. That's kind of the whole game. Pretend it is a perk and you already got what you wanted!

  • Absolutely not. In fact I think the other cure type items should also go into the left hand. Why, because solo survivors are often so stupid they think you sat your item on the ground to give it to them. Bastard thieves.

Survivors have two hands. There is absolutely no reason to change this.

  • Last night I had survivor +100% and my son (sitting next to me) had it on killer for only the second time since the incentive was added.

He plays a lot more killer than I do because he's trying to earn and re-earn all the trophies (we played on PS4, then PS5 version didn't give credit, and now we are back on PS4 version because PS5 version causes crashes).

Is MMR Killer specific or did they just go with overall and scrap that idea? In other words, if I am high MMR on Shape and switch to Oni, who I've played maybe four times, would I be able to affect whether I am getting a bonus on Survivor or Killer?

  • I had a survivor use reassurance on me yesterday. They proceeded to stand there one time. Then get the save. The next time they worked on a gen for ten seconds, then got the save... It is worthless from my point of view. Even during endgame it is not great, because the EGC is going to time limit everything anyway.

Discordance is great against Prove Thyself, Gearhead is a bit weak though even as a counter to Hyperfocus. Not only does Gearhead require you to get a hit to activate it in the first place but the aura is shows can be hard to see against the generator aura and it has no noise notification so it can be easy to miss.

Franklins can help a bit against toolboxes, although it doesn’t help as much if the survivor simply uses the tools up right away at the start of the match.

Yeah, I generally just bring Discordance. It doubles the odds that you will find at least one survivor in that direction. I'm not afraid that they will be using Hyperfocus so well that I need Gearhead, and Stake Out needs to charge anyway. The point is that it exists and if you are facing Hyperfocus every game you can easily counter that.

One thing I want to point out though. If you are bringing Franklin's to work against toolboxes you are wasting a perk slot. By the time you reach the survivors the toolboxes are ALL already spent. You are knocking totally worthless toolboxes out of survivors hands. The only thing Franklin's is good against is medkits and the occasional map or key. Even worse, if you are hunting the survivor with the toolbox and you bring Franklin's, by knocking the empty toolbox out of their hands you just announced to the SWF that they need to drop their gear... Again a wasted perk slot.

  • And they are easily countered with Gearhead and Discordance, so they will never be the meta that everyone brings.

Just go to locker when he is about to pop tier 3 play very safely. Then he has to hook you or either leave you.

I view this as an exploit. You are trying to cheat by using something that was not intended to work in the way you are using it. The devs should allow kills on downed survivors with tombstone Myers to prevent players like you exploiting systems.

However, when survivors do this to me I just hook them. It actually benefits tombstone Myers greatly to do this. They will show me where someone else is to kill if they get unhooked, and endurance won't save you from being killed, or they'll die on hook which is perfectly fine as well.

I find Myers to be the most fun killer to face as a survivor and to play as a killer. He isn't OP in any way.

1 2 3 4 5 6 … 11
