  • IMO they should remove the timer

like it’s not anti tunnel if there’s an extremely short timer

  • Tbh I’d rather RE8 killer with a classic survivor then someone from RE2. Mr. X is just so far from scary tbh

Most high level huntresses didn't use her iri head hatchets before ptb. One hatchet is not that good tbh. Sure you'll get a down, assuming you hit, but if you miss there is a good bit of downtime between chases and even hitting them uses up a decent bit of time. One dead hard ruins your 1 iri hatchet. Iri hatchets are good, but not THAT good, even in the hands of solid Huntress players.

Most would rather have something like 7 hatchets with an additional addon option than a iri hatchet where most addons don't matter with it

How are they using Dead Hard at full health?

  • @IWasLeft2Die said:

Hatchets with ptb change should be much much lower

Well you have to consider how an amazing huntress can use them. As long as a huntress can get 1 hatchet hit she's fine, its why a lot of pros didn't even need multiple hatchet add ons and why imo it won't affect the highest level of Huntress play.

I can say for freddy paint brush should be base he is the only killer that cant use a power at the start of the game.

And you are better not using black box 10 sec blood warden on a sleeping survivor is worthless

Oh my god I forgot they changed black box nvm I was basing it off the old one.

  • @Phasmamain said:

Tatoo’s middle finger is actually pretty decent from my experience. Probably not worth an iri but not terrible

Yeah but most times and on a lot of maps esp the reworked ones, that 6 seconds of aura reading won't do much.

  • @Dilif69 said:

Where is the iri seal from the Plague?

Ah mixed up Vile with seal. Its in the decent in the right hands SOLELY because how often it'll prock right when a chase ends or is lost. Its unpredictability is the only reason its in this tier. Personally I think it would be hugely better if instead of just giving you corrupt it instead corrupts a pool everytime a gen pops so you can at least choose when you wanna use it.

  • @Hoodied said:

I severely disagree with Rule Set No.2 being basekit, as that would nerf pig instead of buffing her due to survivors with traps on their heads instead rushing generators to see the auras, which you don’t want on a killer they relies on preventing gens from completing

In my experience playing as and against pig, good survivors just do that anyways.

  • @Dustin said:

Amazing every game with Tombstone Myers? Good luck getting EW3 against good survivors.

Yeah I debated it but the huge amount of pros just really outweigh the cons in my eyes esp now with the map reworks that lowered a lot of walls on loops or added other stalking points Myers' has been easier to play and stalk with lately.

  • @RogueNOTH said:

Yes, I have also given feedback like this, and as a SH fan I can notice that his face and voice are not alike. Please BHVR, rework licensed characters

I feel like Lisa Garland was supposed to be the survivor and they changed it later on since the voice matches with Lisa a lot more than it does Cheryl.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

agreed. it seems though, dbd community has grown to the new ruined cheryl face because they haven't played silent hill 3. sad, i still hope they fix her face to be more faithful to the original.

Yeah like I'm happy to have her but man when I play her it doesn't even feel like I'm playing her.

  • @Mandy said:

I think it's too early to tell how the game will grow, it's still in Early Access and looks to have a lot more to come. It will be interesting to see how it grows (if it grows). Pretty sure the genre is plenty big enough to have more than one game in it.

Definitely has amazing potential I mean the specter designs alone are amazing and it definitely gives a good horror experience. Just hopin more people give it a chance instead of just brushing it off since its in early access after all it needs players still to help it leave!

  • This doesn't help your point. If it never even dipped below average of 6000 players then how is this comparable?

  • @SalmonDean said:

To be fair, the game hasn’t even been fully released yet. You don’t know how successful it could become with more updates / a console release. I remember when I started playing DBD after FT13 and I thought it was a ‘poor mans FT13’ as it looked and played like a beta game. My, how the tides have turned.

If you told me back in 2017 that DBD would become the game it has today, I wouldn’t have believed you. The fact I’m still playing it now, 4 years later speaks volumes.

Yeah but another thing about DBD is its player base never stopped growing and it started with 23,000 players. The lowest player base DBD ever had was a little over 17,000 people and that was only for a month or two then it went straight back to growing.

  • @ShinobuSK said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2148372#Comment_2148372

Well thats normal for a game that just got released. Its similar to DBD so many DBD players are interested in it.

But expecting it to be awesome in such a short time period is unrealistic. Look how often they have server maintenance and many bugs they are working on, game isnt ready to get big this soon.

That said, I really wish that studio will be successful and game wont die, they seem like very devoted people to their game and game itself is really interesting

Oh personally I think its awesome like I said I like having it as it gives more options to horror gaming than just DBD and IDV (IDV is more comical but yeah). I just worry that if the playerbase fades out to quickly the funding could get cut off then no more content like what happened with Resident Evil Resistance.

How about we wait until the game is... actually out... before judging it against a game that has been out for 5 years and has a very large amount of money, content, licenses, devs, and community.

The trailer for the game has at least 3 maps, and 2 killers we haven't seen yet.

Also leaks suggest another character is on the way and they are... kinda licensed? Its weird.

The game is losing players, but calling it dying is a stretch. The game is still having updates done, (more often than BHVR) and it still has a long road ahead of it of planned content and future updates.

Ah yeah Zbing, popular Thai youtuber. Idk It just looks like people are moving away from it and it worries me that they're gonna kinda just cancel production if the player base keeps dwindling

  • @Seraphor said:

It's not even finished yet, give them a chance to make HSHS first.

I want them to have a chance I really really love HSHS but how can they make the game when the player base leaves?

  • @ShinobuSK said:

Competition? It needs 2 successful years to even establish good player base, it never was a competition for DBD

Upon release many people did say they were switching over and it had a stable player base of 3,000 people for the first month which is pretty good when its pitted against DBD but looking at the charts its sadly going down and down and down.

  • I do but that doesn't change the fact it went from 1/10 of DBDs player base (Which is extremely impressive for an indie early access game) now its kinda dying out and this past week we haven't even been able to grab 2000 players :/ I actually loved the game since the Specters actually had pretty scary designs but unless they do some big content release I can't imagine a lot of people rushing back and staying.

  • @Irisora said:

Those perks already exist, they are called BT, MoM, and DH. Oh and soulguard.

How does Dead Hard counter exposed?

  • Definitely agree. Now at certain times he feels extremely reliable esp after a survivor gets a movement speed boost.

they’re just toxic people. literally the epitome of what’s wrong with this game.

Ive surprisingly never run into a squad like this but man does it make me scared to touch any killer now. I get why so many killer mains don't touch other killers now.

  • @BioX said:

You know why, what is the point of these threads?

Stop being or pretending to be stupid

No I genuinely don't get it. Why are you mad at me when I wasn't even toxic all game and put up with your toxic behavior? (Obviously not you yourself) why is one party gonna get angry when they cause the problems? (Also its fun to show how toxic people are)

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2133878#Comment_2133878

Well the games are just visual novels basically, nobody plays them for their gameplay. And the big part of the story are the cruel deaths of the children, the games basically wouldn't have happened otherwise (Unless the newer stuff have expanded on the lore of that, I know the most famous version the best which would probably be the one that will be used in a potential chapter) and all the different deaths are a big reason people play these games. While I never watched Freddys movies, I doubt him being a pedo is as big of a factor and gets expanded like the child deaths are in corpse party (please correct me wrong if I am)

I'm also probably a bit bias because of the latest decisions this franchise took, and the creator being a bit of a creep. Don't let me ruin your fun for a potential corpse party chapter, will be happy for you if it does happen somehow :p

Oh yeah the reason Freddy is Freddy was cause he did a lot of stuff to the kids and the parents found out so they got together and burned him alive and now he’s back to kill the kids he did stuff too who are now teens. Mainly the reason why corpse party happens is solely cause of the death of Sachiko and her mother rather than the other kids but I do get where you’re coming from.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2132707#Comment_2132707

I totally forgot our dear Freddster! Yeah you're right. However, Corpse Party invests more time into the "child death" aspect and it is a important part of the story. They would need to explain that in the backstory or else it would feel incomplete for Corpse Party fans.

All around just not sure how I would feel if it were a thing

Isn’t like Freddys whole reason for being Freddy the stuff he did to kids? Idk plus I feel like I explained it well without having to go into too much detail. Overall I definitely don’t think we could get worse than Freddy lol

  • @TripleSteal said:

Dbd is making chapters based off anime/manga? #########?

They stated in a survey they'd be interested in the possibility of it.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Ah Corpse Party, interesting story, fun game(s) for what it was. But I personally wouldn't feel comfortable with it getting a chapter here. Not because of the anime aspect (Really wouldn't mind that) but...well, the interesting history this franchise has. For example it has a lot of graphic child death and fetishized deaths (and some other general fetish stuff) of the main cast (Not sure but might be minors as well? One obviously is though). The latest original games are cheap and this franchise as a whole now acts more like a cashcow.

May sound weird but I wouldn't want this game represented because it is too much, I also think Behaviour stated they didn't want stuff like child death in this game?

However, your ideas for the killer and survivor are spot on, the perks are ok. Obviously the killer can't be Sachiko so you had to choose the next best option

Hmm from what I recall the games (besides Sachiko's 2U) strayed away from the fetish stuff it was mostly the manga which had weird contents. And the stuff regarding child death was about in game content such as a dead child offering etc etc. I mean they added Freddy and he was a child molester/murderer and all of silent hills plot is based on the sacrifice of a young girl. And BHVR added minors in the game previously such as Cheryl, Quentin, Susie, and Laurie strode. I dont think its too far outside the realm of possibility!

I prefer pharmacy giving a guaranteed green medkit but then giving a random yellow or brown one after

The rarity would be locked to uncommon or above and it’s mostly because after that first use then you’re pretty much left with nothing. This way you’ll get med-kits reliably.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/244049/perk-buff-rework-ideas-killer-edition

That overcharge regression bonus might be a little too generous I think.

I mean 2 seconds off a gen? You are kinda pushing it man.

Seriously though the only perk here that looks improved upon is Mindbreaker, the rest you haven't really buffed at all in any meaningful way (besides gearhead) but that also looks incredibly weak.

Well idk gearhead change doesn’t seem weak to me I mean everytime you down someone you either get every Gen -10% or you get everyone’s locations.

  • @ItzZane_ said:

    Is there a survivor version?

(Love the changes to the perks btw)

makin one atm! I was gonna have them be same post but I figured too much text.

    Hex: Monstrous Shrine

A Hex rooting its power on the act of sacrifice. Your fervent care of hooks has aroused the Entity's interest.

    • Hook Progression is accelerated by 3/6/9%

    • Self-Unhook difficulty is increased by 5/10/15%

    • Self-Unhook penalty is increased by 3/6/9%

    • Survivors suffer from a 5/10/15% Action speed penalty when Unhooking other Survivors (New)

    • Hex: Monstrous Shrine grants 50/75/100% bonus Bloodpoints for actions in the Sacrifice Category (New)

The bonus Bloodpoints are only awarded during the Trial.

I wanted to rework Monstrous Shrine to be a Hex perk that would affect ALL hooking not just basement as that is a bit too niche. Additionally, Survivors won't know they are cursed via Monstrous Shrine until one of them is hooked to give it a bit of surprise factor. My only concern with this is it might promote camping. A clause could be added where its effects only work when you are a certain amount of meters away from the hooked survivor similar to Devour Hope (24 meters) as I feel killers should be incentivized to go elsewhere after hooking instead of camping.

I feel like Monstrous would be really cool like this as a Hex with immediate value on hooking. Usually Survivors keep working on gens and think they'll have time to go for a save once they're finished with said gen but Monstrous would put pressure on them. If left alone, Monstrous would make end game scenarios where everyone has been hooked once much more harrowing as well and I think they'd really go out of their way to cleanse it to alleviate that pressure. A Hex that survivors actively seek out to cleanse is great imo as it encourages side objectives. Lmk what you think! I hate Monstrous in its current state lol

Omg I forgot monstrous shrine even existed! I like your idea btw!

  • @HollowsGrief said:

I'm a big fan of the overcharge changes you came up with, it would actually make the perk pretty solid.

yeah I always thought by default killers should apply a small amount of regression on kicks but might as well add it to overcharge since it fits the theme!

  • @HuskyTwitter said:

Really like your Gearhead idea, better than whatever the heck it does now.

yeah wanted to make it actually feel lethal and add a bit of Gen regression to it!

  • @[Deleted User] said:

why change rancor to be terrible?

    A. It’s not really terrible it just takes away the extreme annoyance of playing the obsession with rancor end game while also having an actual damaging effect on survivors who aren’t the obsession. 5% is a lot esp if you run NOED.

  • @glitchboi said:

I love the idea you have for Gearhead.

Ty! Tbh it was my 2nd favorite idea too lol

  • @DrVeloxcity said:

That Iron Maiden idea is interesting. But it should only damage you from the healthy state. Not from the injured state.

Oh yeah dw i thought that too it’s why it only puts you in the injured state not dying ❤️

  • @doitagain_ said:

Fingers crossed we get the classic nemesis model instead of the remake version. But I’d be happy with both as alternate costumes.

Also curious/worried to see how the survivors will look since BHVR has a history of creating crackhead face models with licensed characters.

They butchered my girl Cheryl :(

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/243877/why-is-the-survivor-punished-for-killer-being-toxic

Its not toxic its a strat most of survivor dont like it its understandable.

For the pipping issue you have you could not out run the killer why do you think you should black pip. You have so many way to escape him when he chase you never forget ita a 4v1 you have teamate for a reason.

Another thing regarding the pip if a killer dont get a black pip when all 4 survivor escape before 4 minute why the survivor should get a black because they get camp

So because I can’t run an insta down killer on a 5 Gen chase while he uses tinkerer...that’s my fault? That’s like survivors saying “Oh well if you don’t like getting Gen rushed and tea bagged at the gates just apply pressure.”

  • @TTV_WAWAbyWibWib said:

The only toxic gameplay is sandbagging your own team or cheating.

Face camping as bubba at 5 gens within the first 2 minutes of the game isn’t toxic?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/243351/re-survivor-perk-ideas

I've got your back i guess should be like this:

I've Got Your Back - You have their backs and they have yours. When unhooking another survivor or being unhooked, both survivors will gain a 10%/15%/20% speed boost If they stay near eachother within 16m

And first aid spray should be 200/150/100 secs tbh

As fun as that'd be it does sound extremely OP

  • @DetailedDetriment said:

I honestly wouldn't mind First Aid Spray to be a limited-time item that heals everyone, including yourself, any amount that the spray is used. As a perk, this is incredibly weak though. Autodidact gives 50% per skill-check at 5 stacks and is non-licensed. Reduce the cooldown to 45 seconds or a minute and it'll be better.

Honestly the original idea was having give a 25%/50%/75% bonus and being one time use. I just changed it to be multiple uses and the lengthy cooldown is to compensate possible SWF stacking. Id say its better than auto solely cause of how long auto takes to get to even 3 stacks some games.

  • @BeardedScrub said:

When you dc even once you are completely screwing your teammates. Saying you haven't dc'd in 3 days, that's nothing to brag about, it's pathetic.

Not only did you knowingly dc twice 3 days ago, but obviously (by the fact that you're justifying it) you dc'd multiple other times this month, and I'm sure even the month before.

I never dc, admittedly, I got a 5 minute penalty which was annoying because it wasn't my fault. But I move on and I've never gotten more then 5 minutes ever. You deserve a permanent penalty for screwing teammates so often

I mean I wouldn't call DCing when theres one other survivor in the match at 5 gens 'screwing over teammates' but okay. How is DCing twice within the span of a week a sign of anything?

Don't play with bad connection. Dbd requires a more stable one than other games.

My connection isn't the problem though I have green ping and I never even get the red little clock thingy. I even played with spotify and spotify never stopped and it lets me straight back into the game. I'm literally in the same room as my router.

  • @Kenpachi_Zaraki said:

If dbd is the issue, then follow the same advice. Don't dc, EVER, and you'll only get a five minute ban when it kicks you.

Haven't DC'd. Once again disconnected from the server and slapped with 24 hour ban this time. How am I supposed to play and not DC if I'm forcibly BOOTED from the game? I even have it on recording now lol

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/241160/why-do-we-need-dc-penalties

We need them because when we didn't have them certain Nimrods kept disconnecting like crazy. Now fewer do it, but make up wild excuses about it thinking it will remove their bans; it won't.

Its not a wild excuse if the devs ever felt so inclined they could very easily check my player records and see lol
