Cheryl's voice fits Lisa A LOT more than Cheryl IMO But I hate hearing it over Cybil

Idk why people put Trapper down so much. I mean, technically yeah he is like, between number 1-3 worst killer depending on who you ask, but he still has Basement Build that can end games in like 2 minutes lol. Pig can only fantasize about easy games like that.
True + he does have a chase ability sure not a good one but better than pig's ambush.

Trapper is much better than Pig shes still the WORST killer in the game

Right? I mean I play all survivors and killers but atm I like Yun-Jin most 😀 They could do more here and I hope they do.
Yeah there's so many K-pop girls who rock the more mature and elegant look and Yun-Jin seems to stick with and I think a lot of these outfits can suit her really well!

Well honestly the only bad part of her last cosmetic is the hair. The Jacket looks freaking amazing on her base skirt !
The pants too. Not sure why the devs think baggy pants are a good look especially on someone like Yun-Jin! And I would like the jacket if it didn't have so many patterns. I do have the jacket as I found it the only semi redeemable thing about the cosmetic but s i g h

Well there's only a few games available on the Chinese version of steam but you can still access other versions of steam there. They might try and make that harder at some point, Xi Jinping isn't much of a gamer
By coincidence I saw an article today which talks about this stuff:
https://www.theguardian.com/news/2021/jul/15/china-video-game-censorship-tencent-netease-blizzard
Games like Fallout aren't banned so I don't think they care about cults and politics haha

@gendoss said:
I don't think it's available in China... The government has a really strict hold of Steam.
Hmm some say its there some say it isn't due to violence however theres a chinese game similar to DBD called 灵魂筹码(Soul at stake) which is from what I hear decently popular in China and its quite violent.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
I think so, considering Chinese is a supported language, although I'm not 100% sure. Steam China may not have the game and so you may have to purchase it off of a different Steam store
Is there anyway to get into the Chinese Steam store and check myself? And btw thank you for helping!

The problem with Trapper is same with death slinger but to a less extent. You feel cheated out of playing well. You can lead a trapper on a 5 gen chase while he makes mistake after mistake after mistake after mistake and you play perfect but one trap makes it so you lose.

The Spirit add-ons are problematic | Dead by Daylight - YouTube
basically, they make her more unpredictable than she already is. In high level/competitive that's kind of not fine
Cool you can link a youtuber saying something. Theres no way you can change them to make them 'fair' (Which they already are) without changing her power or reworking all her add-ons. Shes a fine killer and same with her add-ons most of which provide teeny tiny stat bonuses that's like saying "Hag add-ons OP!!!!" because they can make the distance she can travel from unpredictable lol

Some of them are too much and should be changed nothing special slight number changes. MDR is the top contender.
With the recent Stridor nerf MDR is truly fine. Huge speed boost in exchange of complete blindness in Phase is a worthy trade off especially since nerfing it would once again make it garbage and useless. Her add ons are fine for now.
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
Like I said two big changes needed are an indication she's phasing to eliminate the standstill mindgame which has no skill. Also, add-on changes they're too strong. These two changes are safe and won't butcher Spirit. Anything afterwards would need lot of consideration to not ruin her.
Her add ons are fine. Nerfing them will just make all of them garbage+

It's Microsoft and Sony. This is the ONE thing you can't blame the devs for, since it's not within their control.
It really does fall on the devs. Microsoft has shown they dont care about PC -> to xbox or vice versa and have allowed several games already to do it some smaller than DBD so theres no reason they're holding back.

Apart from platforms needing to agree to it, there's the issue of how to set it up, then setting up the databases, how the databases communicate with the various platforms, how the User will access these databases with a unique ID (BHVR accounts), and how to merge all of a User's accounts. All while trying not to corrupt any existing data, especially when merging existing data. (And many many other steps that I'm too comfortable in my armchair to know about)
They already have cross progression only between Stadia and PC

It’s free choice, Im just giving the guy a tip. Just acknowledge that going VS PC or next-gen console opponents will give you a natural handicap.
Playing without cross play makes your queue times like 6x longer than usual its almost unplayable.

You don't need a medkit to be a healer though!
Your build still heals enough to be a "competent healing build".
Also, probably a better build- BT, well make it, botany, autodidact.
You also don't have to play "totem jockey", you just have to had moved around the map. Again your saying this phrase as if it's difficult to walk within 8m of a totem whilst normally traversing the map. That's just not true. It's super easy, stop exaggerating or just outright straw-manning me. You haven't listened to a thing I've said about this, even thought I've repeated this 3 times.
I've only played RPD once with small game to see totem spawns ect.. and I found that the totem spawns dont seem that bad, at least out of the 5 I found. One was slightly out the way, but most were noticeable by walking past. So with red maps it's easy to see.
I've listened its just you keep contradicting yourself and no auto-didact is a horrible perk especially to run with things that increase healing speed as it makes it even less of a chance youll get a skill check. But yes to normally traverse, run a pink map every game, then cross the entire map in the end game possibly with every other non hooked survivor is a drastic play style change, blood point consumption, and requires comms to be as effective as you make it out to be especially on maps like RPD where even if you HAVE all the locations the time to traverse it alone is gonna be over 2 minutes.

That's not a change in playstyle though? By playstyle I mean what tactics you use throughout the match, not what's brought in. It is an inconvenience, but doesn't just counter noed but all hexes really (incase you missed one in range). But it's not a change in playstyle. Yes it stops you bringing medkits/toolboxes. So it's annoying but a reliable counter.
Sorry, I didn't know about the green map (I tend to only use purple/red maps)
I will repeat, throughout the natural course of a game you should get (with a purple/red map) at least 3 totems spotted with it consistently. That means it'll only be a bit of searching for totems at the end and if it's one of the not done totems not found you should be able to tell where you haven't been by what's not highlighted in areas. Swamp is probably the only exception to this (it's totem spawns are dumb as hell, and need to be looked at for more consistency).
It should only take you at the end, to scout out 3 totems and look for the other 2 (let's say it's the last totem found/checked) around 30/40s. Nothing to major. A 1/3 or 1/4 of a hook timer.
There's not a purple map though only pink variation. Also what about maps like RPD where it could take up to 2 minutes to constantly run back and forth checking totems? And yes it IS a change in playstyle. For example I like being a healer so yes I do play non meta. I bring Botany, We'll make it, Desperate Measures, and Borrowed usually along with a medkit. Now I HAVE to change my play style and how I would usually play just to counter an end game perk a killer may or may not have. I can no longer play healer I have to play totem jockey it doesn't matter if its end game, mid game, early game I have to step away from my usually passive role and take on a searching one that is a change in play style.

A map doesn't require you to slowdown on gens. Usually a map will pick up on 3-4/5 totems in most games if you've been in a chase.
You don't need an add on, maps instantly look for totems. They help but aren't necessary. I do it often enough to know.
You don't need to find them, you just need to be in proximity of them aswell, this is a common misconception with maps. As long as you're within I think it's 10m of it it'll pick it up.
So no, it's not the same. Noed requires you to take an item to consistently deal with them, DS counterplay requires you to change your playstyle.
Once again it STILL requires you to change your playstyle. What if you want to bring a med kit? Forced to bring a map. Flashlight? Nope, bring a map. And yes by default a green map won't track totems I played with one yesterday and was curious to see if you were right and upon activation no totems were found despite me having walked past several. And on some maps you wont get within 8 meters of a totem not to mention you need to have comms in order for this strategy to have some effective use as you'll be wasting massive amounts of end game time while someone sits on hook and possibly everyone is scattered looking for totems.

Yes but that "don't tunnel" or "slug them" is sometimes counter intuitive to the game (unlike bringing a map which doesn't affect gameplay outside of not bringing a medkit/toolbox, the counterplay to ds requires a change in strategy and could completely backfire due to lack of pressure)
And the counter to NOED is a change in strategy that also backfires due to lack of gens being done and a missing teammate IE the one whos hunting totems. Also you need an add on and a map in order to counter totems as well as having found them already which on same maps just wont be the case.

Yes but my response as counterplay was actually practical, read the whole paragraph.
Your response was that there was no practical way to counter it, which there is. The way to counter it (a map) is more realistic than saying you can bait dead hard.
In that same light the counter for DS is don't tunnel or slug for 60 seconds
-
As someone who plays both and mostly killer NOED is 100% a failsafe thats its intended purpose. NOED definitely needs a rework just like adrenaline needs a nerf. Just because its a 'middle finger' to survivors doing their only objective doesn't mean it belongs in the game.
- "NOED in my opinion shouldn't be seen as a noob perk that rewards bad players, but as something completely different." No it DOES reward bad players but it can also reward good players. No matter what for NOED to activate you NEED to have failed your secondary objective which is to protect gens. You NEED to be in a losing position in order for it to even proxy and yes you can say "Well its a comeback perk." the problem is is it isn't a comeback that's skillful or that requires planning its just a perk that activates and wins you a chase as long as you find one survivor and are a semi competent killer.
- "NOED is a middle finger perk from the to survivors who think that they won. That's all it is." In this same light why was old DS nerfed? I mean after all It was just a middle finger to killers who thought they've won. Using this train of thinking is horrible especially when it comes to balancing discussions. Pallet vacuums were just middle fingers to killers who think that they could've gotten a hit, Insta-blinds were just a middle finger to killers who thought they could pick up a survivor, No exhaustion Sprint Burst and balanced was just a middle finger to killers who thought they'd be able to catch up to a survivor.
- "And I want you to remember how satisfying it is for to escape a killer with NOED." Most of the time its very frustrating as if you KNOW the killer has it its most likely he has someone on hook and you were forced to abandon them because you didn't have time.

When people act "normal", nothing happens. If no-one had ever asked for representation, the entire western media would consist entirely of cis straight white guys, with a sprinkling of racist, sexist, homophobic characatures. Because of that, they would only really be hiring and giving credit to, you guessed it, cis straight white guys, becuase the media tells them it's okay, which humans believe because stories are ridiculously important to our species.
Representation leads to normalisation, it doesn't happen the other way around.
Edit: Almost forgot, those cis striaght white guys would also have to be tough as nails and hard as old boot leather, because that's guy culture for you. No thoughtful, sensitive men allowed.
Okay that was back then this is now. In the west LGBT is hugely accepted, we have our rights we won the battle why do we still need to push everything in front of people? Its literally what's making people hate us again. LGBT acceptance rates are dropping and if you ask most 'homophobic' people its because of things like this. Its cause pride is constantly shoved down everyones throats and its annoying.

Then blame those people that are making you feel this way and not those that try to normalize this topic.
diverse representation can help. Of course one character in one Videogame won’t make it or break it. But it is really not as harmful if done right.
Looked up GaymerX and they seem like the exact reason we have these problems in the first place. And maybe people don't view as normal because we ourselves don't view the community as normal and treat it like some baby that needs everything it asks for? The fact the community is screaming so loud and DEMANDING they add in 'representation' shows that they view themselves as not normal and a special case. Acting normal would be playing the game and appreciating the characters not shouting at everyone because they don't have a gay character yet. And considering they're working with possibly the worst people imaginable to work with for this subject I can't imagine a single good thing ever coming from this.

That’s exactly why we need to end the explicit exclusion.
why should there be no gay or trans characters when we have already such a diverse cast? The devs want to include LGBTQ+ chars as well. And just looking at them tells me they are genuine about it, they don’t seem like the guys that want to exclude specific characters just because of their sexuality.
the former reason was no sexuality at all, but they didn’t hold their word - unintentionally. But their way of incorporation lore and writing have changed drastically since release either way.
Its obvious everyone doesn't like this idea and never has. Doing these meaningless things only makes the LGBT look worse and it always feels pushy and seeing the people they promote something tells me this character is gonna be just one big cluster of stereotypes.
-
I don't get why we NEED a gay or trans character like I'm gay and I wanna be seen as a normal person I don't want a 'gay character'
