You don't have to leave the endgame screen to avoid post-game chat. There is a little button next to the enter text bar that closes the post-game chat and stops you seeing any messages.
Never knew this, is it permanent or do you have to click each time

Yeah had this happen a few times to people yesterday, have to leave as soon as you can to be safe.

I play killer as well so I know how the wait times are. Again, nothing is wrong with the amount of bloodpoints killers get.
But within the same time frame, let's say an hour: A killer may play 5 or 6 matches, and a survivor (in solo queue because SWF lobby times aren't short either) can usually play 10 to 12. The bloodpoint balance doesn't equate. It's not even close.
If you’re playing 5 minute games as survivor I see the problem, and yes I get sometimes a tunnel or camp happens but it’s not every game or even the majority like people seem to claim.

Its so unfortunate. You'd think players would be trying to maximize these rare events.
But look at it this way too, if you’re trying to rank up this could cost you 4 days so if your time is limited and you’re trying to get as high rank as possible before reset why do you have to go easy?
this is repeating thing, everything thinks their way of playing is how everyone else should play or they’re “being toxic.”

This as nothing to do with common courtesy, you shouldn't be complaining because of the people that still play to win (aka like dick) during double bloodpoint, you should be thanking the killer that farm and go easy on people to allow them to farm.
This, a killer who lets you farm or gives hatch to the last one should be thanked, not expected

I'm not saying don't hook I'm just saying why bring out super toxic builds I get having ruin but iron maiden, infinite evil with in 3, super fast stalking ghost face, exposed clown need I go on. I'd honestly rather go against Billy even bubba
Because if they don’t use good addons and perks the survivors are gonna finish in 4 minutes, teabag, then leave the killer with few points
-
Describe this toxic play? I’m still using my general build of good perks and good offering, but not OP like beads...
I don’t ask the survivors to not do gens or let me hook them just because it’s double BP

Not viable at rank 1 is not viable.
Playing at rank 1 is where you are most likely to get the people playing optimally. Saying something is viable because it works against stupid people at low ranks just doesn't make sense at all.
I don’t feel like spending all day playing Spirit so I’m good in my ranks playing everyone from Spirit to Clown to Demo

The hope is that people are more inclined to use their bloody party streamers during the bloodhunt instead of hoarding them. I'm happy to farm if there are several bps in use during a bloodhunt, that way everyone benefits from a healthy bloodpoint score.
Right, okay style may change but the math on them doesn’t. Like I said it also tends to bring a lot of toxic players out so generally I’d rather use them during my normal play time right after a DLC comes out
-
Right, so either way your BPS is worth 32k
-
I’m saying there is no different to using your BPS today or during the event.
-
i Agree, we shouldn’t have to use a perk to know things SWF know in comms, that’s why the game can’t be balanced correctly.
if I go for a save I find out all 3 of us did so noone is on gens. If I don’t go it ends up going to second phase feels bad man.
second biggest problem IMO is near end game not knowing which gen is being worked on by teammates
-
The recent posts illustrate one of the most frustrating parts of playing as killer, being blamed for something that you really aren't doing.
If I am walking away from a hook and I see a survivor running for the save out of the corner of my eye, or see scratch marks headed that way, I run back because it would be moronic not to. Don't blame the killer, blame your teammates for not understanding how to make a safe save. Borrowed time is a good perk but it has taught players it's okay to make bad saves if they have it and they seem to not be able to unlearn that habit.
Also, if you clicky click to get a killer to chase you away from a hook it's so BLATANTLY OBVIOUS that most killers will fake a chase and go right back because they know what you're doing. Make it look like the killer has a chance and don't make it so obvious you want the chase and it will work more often.

It's understandable but that usually means everyone gets less points.
Example: Gens get repaired in four minutes and the killer only had the chance for two hooks so most of the points that survivors get would be from repairing gens.
Omegablink God Nurse with meta perks who wipes the floor with everyone in four minutes only to get like 14k bloodpoints.
That's what has happened, from my experience, with every blood hunt.
Farming gets you more points for that game but it usually takes longer. So, it's actually less points overall a period of time as you play less games. Playing normally, in general, would net you more points over time. People don't seem to think like that though.
What happens is people who don’t normally get to “do well,” with killer know that a lot of players will be playing a little less sweaty so they see it as their chance to get kills they normally wouldn’t

Here's how I see it:
20k (Base Match Earnings) + 20K (Perk) + 20k (BPS) = 60k (200%)
That's an example of what we can earn right now without the Bloodhunt event. With the event added in you get:
20k (BME) + 20k (Event) + 20k (Perk) + 20k (1 BPS) = 80k (300%)
That's just from 1 person using BPS and a WGLF/BBQ. However, People often save the BPS/Gateau's for this event, so the possibility of more than 1 person using them is higher, and what we get is:
20k (BME) + 20k (Event) + 20k (Perk) + 40k (2 BPS) = 100k (400%)
20k (BME) + 20k (Event) + 20k (Perk) + 60k (3 BPS) = 120k (500%)
20k (BME) + 20k (Event) + 20k (Perk) + 80k (4 BPS) = 140k (600%)
20k (BME) + 20k (Event) + 20k (Perk) + 100k (5 BPS) = 160k (700%)
That's a Significant difference in BP. Even still, if only 1 person is using BPS per match during the event, in my example they are netting an additional 20k more BP for everyone than than they would from participating in the event alone, which means you get more BP for less time played. So yes, It is beneficial to save some of them for the event. I don't understand why people have a hard time grasping this... is my math here wrong, or has there been a change to the bloodhunts I'm not factoring in?
No matter when you use them, a BPS can give a max bonus of 32k. If everyone uses them during a normal day your max BP is 192k if you use them during double event the max bonus is 224 so no there isn’t any “bonus bonus”
BBQ or WGLF can increase those numbers as well of course

I’m not worried about flashlight saves, they’re easy to avoid. I just love getting in those shock hits in on survivors attempting to blind me while locked in a pallet break animation.
Ah my bad, yeah that’s fun :-)

I find Lightborn to be an almost essential perk on my killers 50-60% of the time. If there are 2 flashlights and toolboxes, I’ll equip Franklins as well.
If you just learn to bait survivors with a fake pick up or turn and face a wall you can save the perk spot. Even just turning 180 from where the other survivor is means they don’t have time to get the save.
-
On top of all of the other benefits, the fact that DH can be lagged out and I am generally not great with the perk makes a passive perk much better for me. Everyone may differ

Thanks for reminding me that happens...
Right, I feel like everyone just playing a “normal,” game everyone gets a good amount of BP. People think intentionally slowing down to get 28-32k for everyone don’t understand the time lost. You’ll probably get more points just doing games normally.

You are using MYC on the wrong killer(s) then.
Spirit and Nurse are the only 2 who can guarantee chases that quickly. Not enough reason to definitively say MYC 1 is better than 3

@Snapshot said:
It's the same thing with Make your Choice. The dev's simply messed up the Perk tiers (wonder if by accident or intentional?). Never level up Make your choice to level 2 or 3 !!!
MYC isn’t so clear cut, he’s the cool down in shorter but the tier 3 gives you a full minute to down them. Making your way back to the unhooker and downing then in 40 seconds can be tough if they have one decent loop/pallet.

Dead Hard is a good perk.
But it's certainly not stronger than Balanced Landing. Balanced Landing is good on most maps, it's only absolutely useless in like one map, and it's ridiculous and downright broken on a good number of maps.
This, sure once in a while you get a map or are working on a gen in an area where BL is no good... but then again there are too many times I didn’t take BL and thought, “man I could be abusing balanced this game.”

no I didn't say that, I meant to say that his opinion is stronger than people who have even 1000 hrs, this because he always plays dbd, 4 hours)/day, every day, since 2016.
Okay, again streamers who have 8000 plus hours say it’s not the strongest at exhaustion perk so by your own logic their opinion is stronger than his
-
Lets remember Adrenaline still does more against Freddy than most other killers so it kind of evens out.
each killer having some slightly different impact on the game, perk, etc keeps it kind of interesting.
-
Against one killer, if you’re asleep, and if you don’t make a safe save... and stop saying camping Freddy I seriously see maybe 1 camping killer every 20 games

And nerfing DS or MoM was fair for survivors?
MoM was stupidly OP even most survivors can admit that, when you claim otherwise your argument loses credibility.
The original BNP and the original Mori were too strong too, sometimes developers make mistakes and put things in that shouldn’t ever be and when there taken aware it’s not a nerf it’s correcting a mistake.

Can you spell it pipping and not piping? Piping up means to "speak out" or "speak up". I thought this thread was about something else entirely. Personally, I agree what ranking up at red ranks has gotten out of hand with the new system. There isn't any reward for getting to rank 1 so it doesn't really matter all that much right now. But they are looking at introducing rank rewards in the current road map so it will be relevant very soon. Better to fix it now than later.
The road map, story mode, archives, I have lost a lot of faith in them actually getting any of that in game soon. Too many bugs already.
-
DC needs a punishment, start with 5 minutes then 15 then an hour and so on.
-
Throw in the fact that when I play Spirit I get at least 1 DC, which means I don’t go so hard against the remainder and usually let at least 1 more go even if I dominate. This makes pipping as her extremely hard which is ironic because of how strong she is
-
How about survivors actually learning how to do a safe unhook? Yes, sometimes BT is needed against a camping Leatherface, but more often it’s used by a survivor literally following me to the unhook and I hiking in front of me... please note this doesn’t work against competent killers we know to hit you not the unhooked player.

My favorite is his tangent on "THESE are the survivors we get when we play killer, but we never get these survivors when we play survivor".
Lol right, I mean I like his streams I still learn stuff but his “woe is me,” speeches are getting to be a bit much. Yes every game as killer you’re against an optimal SWF and every game as survivor you have to carry three potatoes.

That man is good, but not nearly as good as everyone says he is. You can tell he no longer actually enjoys this game as much anymore. He even tried to stream other games and started to lose viewers. He used to be much much better compaired to what he does now.
He's a god in his own mind and that of his fans. Anyone ever watch him live? He legit complains about everything that goes wrong then edits it out for his YT videos. Still he has played for a long time and a lot of the information he has is legitimately worth looking into.
Right, every survivor he plays against is using busted perks but he also plays DH, DS, iron will, QQ. And he complains about killers not “being chill,” but I’ve never seen him actually take it easy on the other team if they have a player kill them self on first hook either.

Absolutely, but that only applies once they're on the hook. If you're competing against Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike, that's quite a bit of time for the other three to do generators (at least 60 second with just DS, more if they don't go full potato). While you're chasing them, everyone else is going to go back to generators. If there's three people alive, by the time you hook that guy again, three generators can go off.
Having one dead is definitely going to slow the game down, I won't argue that, but only if there's still a game left to slow down.
This is more of a fundamental issue with the game @Peanits even a decent survivor can make a chase 30-60 seconds meaning almost every chase you’re in 3 gens could get done but your solution as devs is always “you didn’t put enough pressure as killer.”
-
I don’t tunnel, I go after the first person I see. If I see two at once I go after the person who wasn’t on the hook. But I will not ignore someone just because they just came off the hook, if I do that will you agree to not work on a survivor for one minute for me?
-
But they can, it happens more often than it should. I go after the person who unhooked the other and down them, hook them and the next person I see is the unhooked so I get DS'd
Surely you don't consider that "tunneling?"
@8obot1c said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/673021#Comment_673021
So dont go after the person that just got unhooked. and why should they get punished for running a perk that punishes tunneling? Just go find someone else. The next encounter you have with them they cant just run into a locker and DS you because it ran out.
-
Oh snap Dance with me, I forgot it was Tuesday!
-
@Warlock_2020 said:
There are some daft people here. You have a rep from the game telling you that locker ds is not a problem and perhaps you shouldn't be tunneling the person and you are arguing about it? In other words, ds is working as intended. Locker or no locker. Pressure the map and chase someone else and you won't have to worry about it.
I notice that neither you or @Peanits have addressed the issue of actually being able to down and hook a different survivor, then still find the person and get DS’d because one minute is a long time. Once more I’ll ask, why not have it so it automatically deactivated after the killer hooks someone else? It would still be doing it’s job of being anti tunnel.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/680815#Comment_680815
60 s is not that long also there is an option to slug if one is not certain about DS timer.
How do you slug people in a locker?
-
like I said, make it so it doesn’t have a timer but is deactivated the next time someone else is hooked. If I hook someone else before hooking the same person that just mean it isn’t tunneling right?
-
@Peanits said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/678540#Comment_678540
I would go for the other guy to make killing them all easier later on. If you really want to kill that guy specifically and want to lose all your pressure in the process, wait 60 seconds and grab them from the locker.
@Peanits 60 seconds is longer than you guys think, you can hook another survivor before it’s up and still get hit by DS, pls explain how that is “tunneling?” If the others are already hurt or if you have an instadown I've even hooked 2 others and been hit by DS, but that’s tunneling right?
If it’s really an anti tunnel perk have it deactivate based on next hook instead of time.
-
Only at new content, I have enough saved to buy all 4 the day demigorgon comes out and all 4 at reset that night... it’s not a great rate but being capped at 1 million plus a quick 1.2 million blood points means I can level Nancy and the killer both to 40 instantly.

Monitor & Abuse + Infectious Fright (increases the range of IF as you maintain your terror radius at the end of a chase)
Brutal Strength + Fire Up (This isn't great, but it's funny when it works as when you zone people with these two perks, survivors actually don't gain much distance at all)
Deliverance + Breakdown (Very situational, but strong in some circumstances)
They probably aren't the best combos, but I find all 3 of these to be pretty fun and to work out in some cases.
I always wondered that, so distressing + monitor would give you a really strong radius for Infectious fright? On a 32 meter killer it would be 48 meters?

Haddon sucks for both killer and survs,
when we play killer we know why this map sucks,
as surv: if you dont want to play like ... and jump Myers house 10 times, you have maybe 8 pallets to work with,
this map sucks for both sides (unless you run BL and dont feel bad running infinite)
That’s true, as survivor I find the same exact loops over and over boring. But some people enjoy abusing it and you can tell because they hang out right around the house or every time you see them they run straight to it.
not saying anything is wrong with using something to your advantage, but for me it’s not “fun,” gameplay
