You say: People work hard to get to p3...
Nobody is forcing them to do it and there is no penalty in gameplay for not doing it. So complaining about how much extra work it is for a little reward just doesn't really make sense. Simply don't P3 then.
-
If players without prestige will have a disadvantage because of your proposed change then your suggestion just makes the already terrible grind even worse.
-
You couldn't handle being looped or what? Rage quits then comes to the forums to complain.

I'd argue that this could be fixed by just reducing the availability of add-ons, items and offerings of rare or higher to higher levels of play. This would serve three purposes and hit those goals quick:
- It would increase player progression at a significantly faster rate.
- It would make these items in the Bloodweb mean something due to their newfound rarity.
- It would still make people use lower tiered items, add-ons and offerings as a means of progression.
How I would also make it is that the progression, i.e. your Survivor-Killer level, determines which add-ons, items, offerings you get. This means over time, you will progress to get even better things over time, while still reducing the overall spending of the items within the Bloodweb.
So if you're at level 1-20 for a Killer without prestige, you'll more than likely end up getting common add-ons and offerings with the occasional uncommon/rare ones. And the more you progress, the better things will get overall for you.
Just please don't make it depend on prestige, because if prestige is necessary to get better add-ons, then you are actually increasing the grind with your suggestion. Currently prestige has almost non-existent effect on add-ons, so doing prestige is really just an optional thing at the moment.
-
Add-ons/items/offerings need to be expensive. Otherwise players will always put in the best possible add-ons, and there will be no need for a weaker version of the addon and I think the game is not balanced around always running the best add-ons/items/offerings.
Instead i think that perks should be made completely free in the bloodweb. Or maybe even all perks should be available immediately. The bloodweb would be used only for add-ons, items and offerings, because only those need balancing.

Survivors should instantly die on Dead Dawg and Coldwind
Yeah... Dead dawg style lightning could be when 2 minutes are remaining

You don't even know how boon totems will work... LOL

Around the time when the MMR matchmaking is activated... I.e. never.

I think this idea could bring a lot of good things to the mechanics and the gameplay.
This has a good potential imo.
I'm not sure if making the killer weaker as the trial goes is a good idea since some boosted gen rushers swf would get even stronger and unkillable. Actually, if the game keeps getting longer, this is because killer has a hard time killing survs, otherwise killing a squad can be done very quickly. No I think that killer should get a little buff like, let's say after 10 minutes, and a big buff when there are 2 or 3 minutes remaining.
The hatch idea to spawn only 2 minutes before daylight no matter what is a very good idea.
The dark map getting brighter is cool, but I don't think it will happen since each realm has its own weather/daytime already set. And since the graphic rework, not sure they will touch this again... they just reworked them.
Overall, this looks like a very cool concept.
If the match is getting long it also means that the survivors are having hard time winning. When the timer runs out the survivors are auto-sacrificed, therefore they need to get a little buff e.g. by making the killer a bit weaker. This way there is still chance that survivors can finish before the timer and keeps the match intense.

Bubba? Well... On 10 games, 8 of them will be with a camping killer. No need to be against a Bubba. You talk about strategy. Really? Staying front of a survivor or making circle is that funny?
Camping and tunneling. EVERY GAME! What's the point? One time ou two, I found some genius with Insidious waiting 15minutes in the basement for a survivor to come. That's a strategy too? You enjoy waiting so long without playing? Just to crush someone's game?
Dev don't need to stop the progression, but at least slowing it. You get hooked, the killer stay close, waiting that someone unhooked you and tunnel... Over and over. Every game.
We have two choices: letting the killer kill you, or ragequit. If you ragequit because the killer is toxic as hell, YOU GET PUNISHED.
Even after a 3 months break, things are the same here. God...
@fogdonkey : Rank up? Dude, I'm playing because this game is supposed to be fun. I win, I lose, that's it. Don't care a second about the rank. If you want to compare your junk with your friends, go play Fortnite or Overwatch.
The OP was complaining about not ranking up because of a camping Bubba.
Camping Bubba's are not that frequent, just play another game instead of writing forum posts about it.
-
Play all the killers available for you and then you will see which you like the most.
-
If you and your team can't handle a camping Bubba, no rank up for you. Good luck in the next match!
Camping Bubba forever!

Basement is usually the reward for the killer outplaying the survivor at a strong loop (shack/main building), don't play around basement if you don't want to go in.
Killer's that force the basement with Agitation + Iron Grasp and then camp are scummy as ######### though and I wish I could tell my teammates to just do gens and leave.
Hey, I am not scummy!
-
Also let me know what ideas you have on how the remaining time should affect other aspects of the game (gen speeds, healing, etc)
-
What does it even mean to "main"?
Just play whichever based on your current mood.

It was never bright, I suppose. But not always like that. Here, lets take a look at some random screenshots:

I like the fog on these screenshots.
It is not so foggy anymore, right?

what if you don't have that one?
Then no farming for you.
Btw this Cold wind farm map offering wanted to be a joke.
-
As a first step, use the Cold wind Farm offering.
-
As a survivor I would definitely not start a forum post about it.

Nice bait

They can play Leatherface with Dwight face. Almost like survivor.

You created an account for this reply? The account was created 2 minutes before this post. This means that you are trolling and my idea about banning solo survivor is great.

By making people who only play solo not be able to play the game, great idea lol.
They can still play killer.
-
So much time put into a forum post just to go unnoticed by the devs... Or even if they read it they will ignore it. You are not the first one to come up with a Trapper rework suggestion. Famous DBD streamers were suggesting reworks for years and almost nothing was done. So you think your forum post will change things? No, it won't.
-
For me: Getting at least one angry chat message for hook or basement camping.

@Kirkylad said:
Yeah removing around 50% of the survivor base sounds like a smart idea.
Solves the issues with survivor wait times.

I think this is a hint that the next killer is Glados from the Portal games.
The cake is a lie!

@BlindMole said:
I almost play solo survivor. What about people who have no one to play?
You go on some DBD discord server and find survivors to play with. There is eve an official DBD discord server.

I would remove soloQ!

Would be good to have access to it.

Sorry what? They already have pretty clear descriptions.
Yeah but new players will not go through a dozen of killer descriptions before starting to play. The loading screen should show them the description of the killer they will be facing in the match.
-
Pro tip: Edit the screenshot with Photoshop and change the numbers to 100. No need to grind.
-
No need to believe me.
Btw I also correctly predicted the details of the RE chapter.

Here's the thing, though: the devs are the only ones who can tell you for certain. Anything else is 100% speculative. If your starting point is "you can't trust what the devs say", then you are, in fact, saying that it's impossible to know.
I mean, why even ask if the only people who can tell you for sure are people whose word you don't believe in? If they say something that goes against your position, you'll assume they're lying and that you're right. If they support you, you'll assume that you're right. Either way, your opinion remains the same, because it's independent of what they say.
Because they will say "No" even if they are temporarily testing it or doing some A/B testing or experiment.
When they say "No" it just means that it was not officially activated.
-
Actually... I predict that they will have to add the killer and a quick killer power description onto the loading screen in the future. There are more and more killers in this game, it is hard to know what each of them do for a new or occasional player.
Maybe even the perks will have to be listed with a description.
-
Maybe they are aiming for the June 15th RE DLC release date.
-
You are talking about two separate things: escaping and being chased whole game.
For being chased you should get more points.
For escaping you shouldn't get pip or safety pip by default, because maybe you didn't do anything the whole game.
-
Sorry, but this poll is stupid. Mixing most favorite and least favorite into a single question and poll doesn't make sense.
-
If you use pips to tell what is a win, then there can be win-win or lose-lose situations? Is it possible that the killer and survivors depip at the same time?
-

Being able to use different moris would be nice. Oh and Spirit is dismembered so I don't see why survivors can't. It might be hard though, idk.
The dismembered Spirit is just a transparent area of the skin, it is still a single object.
-
So you played a few matches and came up with great conclusions and accused the devs of ignoring stats.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if it would be activated on a single server or for a random subset of players. The devs need to be able to test it and experiment with it somehow.
(That's how I would do it.)
-
I guess the prestige skins were born long time ago when there were way less skins available, so they were implemented as separate skins.
Your idea is probably better and could be implemented, but there is other stuff waiting to be done with higher priority.
-
Nobody will get banned because of basement camping.
-
Why is pip so important? You will get it back in the next match if you are good.
-
Camping Bubba forever!
-
Why do you P3?
If there were 10 tiers instead, would you P10?
Why to have P3 if it is easy to achieve?
And I am not saying that the current state is good. E.g. P3ing is really discouraging on characters where you already have a lot more perks unlocked. This whole thing is probably from old times when after 50 levels you already unlocked all perks, but the system was never reworked for the current state when we have a lot more perks.
