The devs have confirmed that the new killer is NOT lady Dimitrescu.
-
If it is viable it is no longer meme
-
What is the state of MMR, what are the future plans on it?
-
I think doctor is good anti looper.
-
We will see in less than 2 weeks who is the new killer.
-
Get better at the game
-
I am sad when they don't actually stream
-
Too much grind, not enough benefits
-
It doesn't matter, they don't really listen. Especially not to some random forum post. If all popular streamers would start to talk about it all the time, then maybe they would do some unfavorable change to it in 2 years.
-
It means you are not much better morally than the Tbagging survivor. The only difference is that you didn't start it... you are "just" continuing it... Thanks to this mentality are there never ending wars and hatreds between various nations on earth.
-
Interesting... so far it looks like noone really cares about teabagging. However in many threads people are raging about "toxic teabagging survivors" :D
-
They are often very altruistic and too brave. It is often the reason why they get killed.
-
When I see someone self-caring in the corner with sloppy butcher and being in exposed status.

It doesn't bother me much, but it still irks me a little that people want to use a strategy that provides no in game advantage and only exists to piss people off.
But so it still bothers you a tiny bit. What feelings does it evoke in you?
-
Also the Swamp map
-
Definitely, go for it.
-
Most people with TTV in their name don't even stream or have less than 5 viewers.

And both of those are pretty toxic. You're trying to get killer's attention by being toxic. Is that a strategy? maybe. But it's also toxic as hell. One doesn't exclude another
Why exactly are those toxic? Could you explain it a bit with some valid arguments?

To divert the attention of the killer, try to make the killer to commit to a chase.
And why does it divert the attention of the killer?
Flashlight clicking: creates sound and light, "look, I am here, come and get me"
Tbagging: "come and get me if you can, I am not even running away"

Lol, okay. Tbagging and flashlight clicking is definitely toxic. What is their purpose? Annoy to killer?

If you as a killer can't handle these situations it is your fault, but it is not toxic.
-
I play whatever I get. If the survivors look "sweaty" (I don't like the word toxic, the word is used incorrectly) most of the times it turns out to be easier than expected.
-
Play chill and don't be afraid of losing. Problem solved.
Or you mean that you want to win while playing chill? Don't you think that it is not fair to your opponents and is unsustainable?
-
If you are bad, the other side always looks as OP.
-
Nobody cares...
Except maybe BHVR management, but they don't read forums.
-
It is not toxic, it is completely valid play. Learn how to handle it, don't cry and complain on the forum.
I play both survivor and killer.

I'm sorry if you think the hitbox of that update was inside the survivor and not seven meters behind them please look up any 4.5.0 gameplay and just watch that lovely ✨desync✨ and unironically try and say that again.
I think that was a +- unrelated issue that could have been fixed without reverting the new movement animations.
-
I have this feeling: Currently the survivor hitbox and rotation center is not the middle of survivor body but behind the survivor. That's why it is easy to dodge e.g. huntress, because they often aim for the body, not for the invisible rotation/hitbox behind the survivor. But if you aim for that invisible hitbox behind, you will hit them no matter how much they wiggle. The update just fixed that the rotation center and hitbox is more inside the survivor. So nothing really changed in movement speed, acceleration, hitbox size, etc. The only thing that changed is where the survivor body is painted. It more accurately painted the survivor body around the hitbox and axis of rotation.
That's why I think the update was good, and should not have been reverted. BHVR could communicate a bit better and explain why it was a good thing, not just instantly revert when survivors start to cry and complain.
-
The last time I tried turning it off as a survivor I was getting the same teammate and killer player 3 times in a row.
-
Disable or don't look at the chat if you can't handle it.
-
Because if you are in the team, it can't be a good team anymore (because of you).
Just kidding.

If you're hiding around a corner, or in a bush with dark cosmetics, a higher FOV won't help you. The FOV is not a critically important component of the game at all; it's a small quality-of-life feature that should be in the options menu, not tied to a perk slot.
I'll give an example of why this line of thinking is dangerous. Do you know why it took so long for us to get colourblind settings? If I remember correctly, wasn't it something to do with a certain dev thinking it would give people an unfair advantage?
FOV is an accessibility thing, not a balance thing. And even if it does have a slight impact on balance, that is absolutely 100% worth it for people with motion sickness to be able to play the game without wasting a perk slot or screwing with their resolution (something that is not possible with all graphics cards).
Sorry, but your arguments are not valid.
It is not about hiding in the bushes with dark cosmetics. It is about hiding on the side of the killer, moving away from the eyes of the killer when the killer walks beside you, etc. With a greater FOV the killer would find you. With shadowborn or "monitor and abuse" you can more easily spot survivors on the edges of your vision, so FOV makes a difference.

I have no clue why you Devs thought it's a good idea. However, give us the opportunity to disable his nonsense talking.
Are you triggered by it like by tbags or flashlight clicking?

It is not toxic.

All these "Is this toxic" threads...
Just learn not to ignore it... Done...
-
So you are angry because you get competent survivors and can't get easily 4k?
I think the answer is: Works as intended. Thread closed.
-
It looks like you just started playing with nurse (based on the fact that your perks are just tier 2), so the mmr gave you noob players.
Maybe it should take into account your overall (non killer specific) skill a bit more.
-
Before the rank reset I was rank 1 killer. Today I played killer so far, it was pretty good:
- I started playing The Executioner for the first time ever, it was giving me rank 20 noobs, and the started a bit improving. Do MMR working good.
- Then I switched to Leatherface that I play often. The first match was a bit easier, but the second was pretty intense. Just two of the survivors had red ranks, but they all played decent. MMr working good.
-
Are you complaining that you can't smurf with your rank 17?
-
Ideally it should aim for creating a match with an expectation around 2-3 kills (or maybe 6-8 hooks) so that both sides have room for improvement and also for worsening.
But a match with an expectation of 4k is also fine for purely mmr: simply if the killer gets 4k (the expected result) the mmr will change only minimally.
Similarly it would work if the expected outcome is 0k.
-
Play another game with the same killer and send a screenshot again.
-
I think it should aim for 2-3 kills (or maybe 6-8 hooks), so that both sides have room for improvement.
If it would e.g. create a match with an expectation of 4k, then if the killer gets 4k, it only met the expectations, so killer's mmr is not going to increase by much. So that would not be very useful for the killer to improve.
-
Fix your wifi please. Hopefully the dc penalty will encourage you to do it. I don't want to have a bad match because someone can't set up a stable connection.
-
This game is also about hiding from the killer. The killer's lower field of view is therefore a critically important component of the game.

I was playing a game to train with the Oni, I only managed to kill one survivor while the others had escaped, one I even let him escape from the hatch because he had been good and I wanted to be kind, nothing strange up to here, but when the game was over the survivors started insulting me and telling me that I camp and tunneling even though it wasn't true
is the community all like this?
They incorrectly accused you of camping and tunneling, maybe a few "gg ez baby killer" messages... but on the other hand, why is it so hard to just ignore messages like this? It is not nice that they do this, but on the other hand you also let it to affect you instead of ignoring it.
-
Unfortunately some people complained that "wE CaN't 360 AnYmOrE!" and the devs reverted it back...
-
Yeah, self care for a minute just to get a hit 10 seconds after finishing the self care.
-
And don't you depip after the bad matches?
-
So a player who juts suicides against nurse, wants to tell to nerf nurse... Seems reasonable...
Don't you think that you just simply don't play correctly against nurse? Some tips: Break line of sight in TLs and buildings, go to the edge of map, hold W, run towards nurse when has a long blink, trick her with your movement direction, etc.
-
I think the survivor who DCd was toxic, not the killer.
