Casual misogyny. Mods!
Pretty sure Kikki is a girl. They were just saying they're not the whiny sort.

I've been getting black pips rather regularly. I wouldn't say it's too easy. Both games I was tunneled through most of it and ended up escaping with 20k. Wouldn't saying it's still easy.

Okay, that one I can believe and that needs to get patched.
No, it doesn't. You can use your red stain for mind games.

Unless your family are abusive pieces of #########. That could each do the world a favour use their useless carcasses as kindling for fuel for hobo fires.
So they can make someone's life happy and warm rather than cold and ruthless like always
I think Orion was talking about the responsibilities of a parent and not the abuse a child may face. A lot of people use video games as a distraction from what they're going through, though. It's the same with stories and so on. People find happiness and belonging where they can.

I just throw it around to warn people. I don’t want someone to get friendly with me only to find out I’m gay and be upset. If anyone starts ######### I’ll just block them anyway.
I think that's understandable. c: I'll sometimes do the same, especially with online friends if I get hints that they like me. My intent isn't to hurt anyone or lead them on, after all. It's quite dependent on the scenario/situation and so on, though.

Gaming is a hobby. Hobbies take up time. Family takes up time. Family supersedes hobbies. Get it now?
A lot of LGBT people will adopt or will have kids other ways. I think it's just the age range and luck.

This is the reason most of us don’t say our sexual orientation. But I have no problem admitting I’m apart of G.
Yeah, I'm lez, but I'm usually quite hesitant to who I mention it to 'cause I don't want a headache or for someone to make me feel bad for existing.
-
It's possible you haven't seen LGBT people elsewhere because the communication isn't as open as it is on the forums, for instance. You may even know some personally who just have chosen not to mention it to you 'cause they think you'll react poorly.
-
Well, Doctor would be the only killer that could damage generators from far away and that could be too strong.
-
You don't usually see Freddy in higher ranks and his power really doesn't help in chases. Being able to see people at a distance is strong and his terror radius can be small, which is quite good, but he has to put people asleep. I'm honestly not sure what to do with him, though.
-
We cycle through the daily complaints. It isn't too surprising.
NOED, Legion, Adrenaline, etc.
-
I've seen these ideas floating around for a while, though I'm guessing nothing's being done about it 'cause the community is divided. If the survivors are given more things they're required to do, stronger killers should be nerfed 'cause otherwise people are just going to take advantage of that. Legion needs a rework, too. He's weak and annoying to play against at the same time, somehow. Honestly I'd be up for him having a normal speed, same terror-radious, and a rework of his ability so he'll be better able to get everyone (longer time), but tunneling on person just to DW them repeatedly won't be rewarding. We could make the mending action require more than just holding m1, too, and make it longer.

Be nice to Dreamnomad. xD

Well what about Nea?Why did she get pulled into when she probably knows she has no future at all (and she doesn't even try to hide it)
Does killers need hope?
-
Did you report them in end game, too? I believe it's mandatory as it gives them something they can pair the videos to.
-
Ooooo, spoilers.
@Wolfange He was talking about how the next killer has a cool power and that you're going to love him. He used male pronouns while describing him, though.

I wouldn't think too far into it. Pretty sure "Change my mind" is just a turn of phrase.

Which totem do I need to cleanse for adrenaline to not happen?
If you kill the survivor, it won't go off. ;)
Also won't be apparent if the survivor is on a gen.
-
Even if the NOED/Adrenaline needs the other one to go off, it would give survivors a massive lead. Adrenaline went off, so time to look for NOED. They could get it before you even get someone down 'cause they know to look for it before you down someone. Could ruin end game builds and that was part of the reason they hid the end game screens until everyone was out.
-
DCing is against the rules and having an achievement for a 4-man DC could encourage killers to do stuff that's against the rules to make survivors DC.
-
I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but if you have troubles tracking people, you can play with predator/bloodhound (Wraith perks) on and flip it on and off until you get better at tracking where the survivors are going. Predator makes the path smaller, so it's easier to follow. Bloodhound makes blood more visible.
If you don't play survivor, I would recommend playing it as well. It can help you understand the survivor's routes and where they're more likely to go.
There are also tip videos on what to do as killer and how to anti-loop and track survivors.

@fluffybunny I'm not even joking, I was completely lost in that wall of text. If you wrote that 6 months ago I woulda been able to read it all but I'm so tired nowadays that TL;DR is my lifesaver XD.
@Poweas I can understand that. I have those days, too.
-
I've done that, especially if the survivor was annoying me in anyway. Other times I'll remain on hook so they can get extra points.
-
@Evil_Dwight I'm pretty sure the people who check reports can tell. What do you mean "Using Bond to punt the killer is publicly stated on a dev stream as not bannable" and can you link to where they publicly state it's ok? In the rules they posted on this form it does say that griefing is against the rules (working with opposite team to gain an advantage or grief a teammate, targeting specific users in order to ruin their game experience).
-
Could someone test what would happen in KYF?
-
Imaginary Friend (Killer perk)
Sometimes others aren't what they seem. Be careful the person you're walking with is indeed a survivor and not just an Imaginary Friend. When match starts, 2 Imaginary Friends (IF) will spawn and do survivor-like things. When not startled, they will work on generators, search boxes, and work on hooks, though it's worth noting anything they do will have a positive affect for killer. While working on gens, IF will regress them. While searching through boxes, IF will not open them and will apply an injuring affect to anyone who opens the box after them. IF, while working on hooks, will actually repair them (if hooks are untouched, they will not bother with hooks). They may also head off while a person is hooked as if they are going to get the unhook (though they aren't). Do not approach an IF to get healed. Aura perks (such as bond) reads them as a survivor. A survivor can go through IF.
Once startled, IF will scream and cry, allowing the killer to see the survivor's aura for 3 seconds. An IF will be startled if a survivor bumps into them. IF will then cry in a suitable corner for 60 seconds before spawning elsewhere and going about usual manners of a non-startled IF.

If the Killer decides to let the Survivors farm (because of a DC or a 3 man game for example), I usually let him hook me. Some refuse to do it, tho and I dont want to waste anybodys time by running to a hook again and again.
So yeah, if the Killer is nice, why not.
If the Killer does not any Kills, I do not let him hook me, because I think I earned it to escape, when I did well. Of course the Killer earns it to hook me, when he got me, so I am not mad if a Killer does not give the Hatch in a 3 man game or when somebody DCed early.
But well, might be another Bait-Thread.
@Aven_Fallen I don't think Orion is the type to make bait threads.
-
You've never had someone offer to let you hook them? Like run up to a hook and point at it for instance. If I don't have a daily to live, I'll offer the killer a hook depending on the scenario. If we had DCs and the killer was nice enough to let us farm points and get doors/the hatch, I'll offer them a hook if they would like to by running up to a hook and pointing at it. If they didn't get anyone, but was a good sport, I'll do the same. Most of the time they'll down me and take me to the exit or shake their head, though. xD
-
It may be because you do indeed play solo, which is quite a bit harder than swf. You don't pick your team and you can't communicate what you're doing, where you are, and so on. If the killer is camping or leaves you, you can't say to a group of randoms. The coordination makes swf worlds stronger than solo play and you don't all have to be amazing survivors to feel the benefits of being able to communicate and the coordination that comes along with that. Ultimately it's a 4 against 1 and if you can tell the people you're with "he's on me"/"he's off of me," that's really strong.
For the stealth remarks, survivors have so many more stealth perks/options available to them. Scratch marks an issue? Two perks can get rid of them for a short duration and one can lessen them. Issues with hiding, lockers hide auras now and there's a perk to hide auras, too. You can bring along perks to quiet the crows or just avoid them so that they don't go off.
Trapper, Clown, and Hag don't stop or ignore loops. If a Trapper or Hag starts putting down a trap to stop a loop, you could always run to the next loop while they're doing it.
This is most likely due to lag:
Hitboxes feel especially BS, with the amount of times I've been hit through pallets that I have CLEARLY thrown on the face of my Killer, or the numerous times I've been sniped 5 feet from a vault.
Which they're planning on bringing in dedicated servers.

@fluffybunny thank you for this TL;DR
I was gonna edit my post to include one but it looks like I no longer have to. And yes you covered all the major points!
No problem! ^^ I've seen ideas circling for a while now. I'm on board with changes, though I believe we're waiting on the Devs to move. They can only realistically do so much at once and they probably need to iron out the details and balance it so that it's fun and fair for everyone.
-
TL;DR: Weaker killers need buffs, Legion needs a rework, strong killers/add-ons need debuffs or reworks, and survivors need another objective along with buffing solo players so that they're on par with swf.
Did I understand all the important parts? Just making it shorter in case people want a tl;dr. I think a lot of people already understand quite a few of the points you make, but little to nothing is done to address it 'cause it needs to be balanced and they're just testing out things.
-
I like these ideas! If people were punished more, there may be less who thinks DCing is fine and could also give players a warning if they're about to que with a DCer.

Apparently NOED is OP despite this
@NuclearBurrito I think both are disliked for similar reasons. It can help save the match for both (though if survivors are doing poorly, they're likely not getting to end game) and comes at a surprise. It's like you're about to escape and bam! NOED goes off and the killer hits you down and catches you. You're about to catch the survivor and bam! Adrenaline goes off and now they're fully healed or up off the ground. I think people have an issue with NOED because a lot of killers who don't do well use it to make up for their lack of skill and you'll often not get as much points. End game builds are cool, though. Don't usually run them since many solo games don't actually see end game. People aren't coordinated.
-
Adrenaline is like NOED.
Adrenaline gives you a speed boost. NOED gives you a speed boost. Adrenaline gives you a health state back. NOED takes two healths instead of one. NOED doesn't come into play if the totems are done or if end game doesn't come. Adrenaline don't come into play if you're fully healed and not in a chase or just don't get to end game. Both can save you end game.
If one gets reworked, the other should get looked at too imo. I don't really think either is as bad as DS was.
-
@Evil_Dwight Accidental sandbagging isn't against the rules. If someone does so out of panic or due to lack of awareness, they shouldn't get in trouble for that. I'm pretty sure they say it in the report screen and if not, they say it in the ones posted in the forums. The issue is a survivor equipping bond to screw over teammates is essentially cheating. Or a survivor following people around and giving away positions and getting in the way. While accidentally doing so is one thing, you can usually tell when people are just trying to kill off their team.

My favorite is the Wraith. <3 Though the pig is also fun 'cause she's cute.

I feel like this is bait. "wich" "milk face" "myers OP"
@Blueberry I dunno. It just sounds like someone who really doesn't like Michael. Which how? He's such a cutie.
-
You can still loop Michael while he's in tier 3. I've done so. He also isn't OP. This is coming from someone who would be considered a survivor main. He's mid-tier, though he's still all right.
What killer did you face that downed everyone with one swing? LF? You should never run the same direction and you should be aware enough of your surroundings to see an approaching killer.
-
I'm sorry. If you think any game could benefit from allowing players to grief and troll other survivors that they can equip perks to see and chase down/stalk, you're very confused. A killer playing with a survivor to find and down everyone as that person blocks and gets in the way of other survivors should never be excused or allowed. It isn't a case of "selfishness," but of ruining the experience of other players often for kicks and giggles or because you don't like the person. The hatch wasn't made for selfishness, but for "hope" for the last remaining survivor and to give the last one a chance. Altruism Emblem is influenced by the team's performance. If you have your team eating itself, you'll never get far, too, and allowing sandbagging could allow for discrimination. "I don't like your name, so I'm gonna get in your way, lead the killer to you, etc."
Killers often don't mediate, too. I don't know how lucky you are, but most of the games I've had people farming, the killer took advantage of it and then killed the person. Someone's making their job easier and they may often not realize the person's being sandbagged or may not care ('cause a lot of people have the mentality that only their game experience matters). Regardless, not addressing those issues will affect the health of the game. You use the argument that you can therefore you should be allowed as if rules aren't in place in real life and you can't, for instance, kill someone. Which is against the law and will get you punishment if you're caught. It's the devs game and they chose the rules they did for the health of the game and the fun for all players.
tl;dr: ignoring griefing and trolling isn't a good idea.
-
@TheLastGreatStar Nah, it was either Billy or Huntress, I honestly don't remember. I've been taking a break from the game, waiting for the lobbies to go back to normal. I had three in a row that was a three/two man (infinite loading screen) and of course the killer didn't go easy, so that crap isn't fun.
-

i was screaming at the tv the other day, so i am running, injured, killer, the bing bong man is behind me, then a claudette with two birds around her head is chasing us! i am downed, on the floor, she starts healing me right in front of the killer!! i am screaming ######### are you doing, go!!! stop it! then she gets hit! and still tries to heal me right there....by now i am at top screech! so she gets downed, i get hooked and then she does, one dc and then we are left relying on the poor last soul!!
@Mushwin I had a match where someone was downed in a pallet, I was nearby and close in to get the pallet stun and of course they DC out of frustration of being the first one caught. I love teammates sometimes. >>

Does anyone know what their reasoning was behind it not getting the buff? They may come out with new numbers with the next PTB or a reworking of sorts, I dunno.

@Eveline said:
Sometimes I can't tell who are survivors and killers when killers can get so easily bullied by "survivors". Dunno about you but in horror movies killers are some kind of threat not a laughing stock.
@Eveline There's plenty of situations in the game that scares me, but you really only get scared by something once or twice. By your fifth time of dealing with Devour Hope for instance, it's just another thing to push against and decide what you're going to do against. Even in other games, you can find humorous or amusing things from the killers or monsters. Some people use humor to cope with certain things and I think it's related to that.
