Sure does lmao I played surv earlier today a freddy's claw was literally on me and it didn't connect. Like his weapon was on me and it just didn't connect I got a stun. It works better than before ofc but still It seems a bit too good now. Considering m1 killers are already weak enough.
Then in this case he just missed from his POV.

And it sucks for everyone else who doesn't live next to the servers who have been getting stunned from metres away from pallets for years and who now don't have the upside of occasionally actually hitting survivors who were late to drop pallets.
Doesn't matter, the people that are "late to drop pallets" aren't late on their end, and they do live next to the servers. There is no reason to prioritize worse internet connection like they have been.
-
Bugs suck, "survive while others escape the trial" isn't working as intended either. Keep trying though.
-
Also I do suspect he might have been forcing you both to farm but I would need to see the match myself to actually judge

All you people keep forgetting there is another survivor. The killer can't pick up you both at the same time. After 4 minutes the other survivor dies and the hatch will spawn and either the killer closes it and EGC ends the game or they don't and every 4th drop the survivor can run to it.
There is no way that what happened can last an hour.
Also last time i'm not defending it. I'm just calling it by the right name
Oh definitely, but the other guy went AFK first, which I don't blame them, but it's definitely their fault as well. You're correct, there would always be time to do a gen while someone was being juggled. A shame they were solo queue and couldn't communicate that though.
-
Definitely griefing, could be considered taking the game hostage. Yeah, yeah, you could technically bleed out after 25 minutes of repeating the same action over and over, but then again the killer could just find the two Blendettes on Dead Dawg Saloon, right? But that's considered a hostage situation.

Taking the game hostage means exactly a scenario where it never ends.
This also won't last 20 minutes. 10 tops. After 4 minutes the other survivor will have bled out and then either the killer has to leave you to close the hatch letting you bleed out faster or after every 4th drop the survivor can run and go for the hatch.
Don't get me wrong you can almost certainly get them for grieving at that point. But its not holding the game hostage.that terminology is slowly losing all meaning with how many people misuse it.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2379596#Comment_2379596
Source? I'm pretty sure the only times the devs concidert something holding the game hostage was when survivors hide for 30+ minutes.
This won't last more then 10 minutes
The killer picking the survivors up and letting them wiggle free means the bleedout progression is only 3 seconds each time that happens. You need 4 minutes to die. That means the killer would have to down the survivor 80 times. That's 25 minutes if the match only consisted of 16 seconds of wiggle +3 seconds on the ground for only one survivor, but the killer was doing it with both as well as other things happening earlier in the match. An hour sounds about right here and that is ridiculous and should not be defended. It would be a different story if the survivors refused to work on gens, or the killer was at least slugging, but they allegedly downed survivors and purposely let them wiggle out to limit progression of the bleedout timer.
-
Latency on your end, devs said they'll change it so you get the proper feedback in that situation

I have tested it now and paid more attention to it... I REALLY hope it is a bug and not intended change to help with performance..
What I have noticed is that Scratchmarks are taking LONGER to show up, they are delayed by a good 1-2 seconds.
So like before, when a Survivor was running in front of you, you could see their scratch marks immediately under their feet..
Try it out right now, you will notice that they do not have any scratch marks under their feet or around it when they run, the scratch marks begin to form quite a bit later and have this awkward looking "delayed" effect - which I believe is causing the sort of "bugged" feeling or effect where it seems like you are losing Survivors and scratch marks are just disappearing randomly...
Because for example, it is SO significantly delayed, that if a Survivor ends up 360 you or juke you around a corner, you actually can't tell which way that they went, so if they start actually walking or crouching soon after they can completely 100% lose you from a chase where you were almost directly on top of them already. It's kind of crazy, it's a subtle difference at first until you actually pay attention to it and then you can see how impactful it really is.
I've noticed that as well for like a month or two. It is definitely delayed for some reason.
-
New bug, same happens with other killers that can break pallets with their power such as Oni, Billy, Nemesis. I saw a Billy chainsaw someone on accident when they were trying to grab the unhooker. Grabs=power now lol

They should revert her bug but otherwise I don't care.

Those survivors were idiots if you find the shack easy as Trickster.
In fact I think the hardest killer for facing the shack is Trickster, the other 4.4 killers have some kind of help in the shack.
- Hag can put traps for denying the shack.
- Deathslinger can shot before the survivor take the corner, through the window or along the room..
- Huntress the same as Deathslinger.
- Spirit, ok, no comments needed.
The Trickster can do the same as Huntress and Deathslinger but he need more than one shot for reducing a survivor health state, the only chance of Trickster in the Shack is shooting multiple shots in a slow or mid window vault and it doesn't guarantee a health state reduction and it happen at expense of a survivor mistake.
Jungle gyms are a pain and using the knives is pointless against any decent survivor who know how to play a jungle gym, the only thing you can do is to try an M1 (good luck with a 4.4 killer) or wait till a survivor mistake which not always happen and doesn't even gguarantee a health state reduction.
How are you finding shack hard? What are the survivors doing to outplay you there?

Nope. Not at all.
Just because Scott said it doesn't make it true.
He's the exact opposite of old Legion.
Old Legion would down any survivor, regardless of skill, in 30 seconds with a 2x stab into a moonwalk.
His damage was unavoidable and would doom the survivor to a predetermined fate regardless of mistakes.
Trickster bullies bad survivors and gets bullied by decent ones.
Run a low tile or go in the open and you die instantly. Run shack decently and you will literally never take damage.
Not quite old Legion but definitely not the opposite. Can't see how spamming knives with no real aim or repercussions is that skillful. Also shack isn't good against him any more than it is against a Huntress. Worse, actually, at least with Huntress she would get punished for missing if you baited well.

I keep hearing "not friendly to newer players" as if Nurse isn't one of the hardest but strongest killers to play.
-
Springwood is definitely trash gameplay wise, more so than Haddonfield if we're talking about variations 4 and 5 (the bigger ones). Hawkins is bad both visually and gameplay wise to me, I only like the portal room effects. That is the best thing about that map. They should've gone with the mall. Midwich is excellent and I always enjoy playing on it, especially as Doc and Nurse.
-
I kind of agree that survivors have had to deal with this for years, this is the better solution.

I'm sick and tired of playing killer anymore, all survivors do is loop one single window, 5 times over until the next one, like the second they get seen. How is that gameplay fun? I have to be forced to bring bamboozle on most killers because that's the basic survivor tactic, default is you're allowed to loop one spot like 4 times before it blocks it. Do the devs not know how long that is?
Most killers im saying aren't allowed to free form builds without the consequence of getting rolled every match
With gens, your forced to bring a gen slow down perk or block otherwise survivors would rather get ripped off gens then leave one on 90 or whatever. It's just a massive stress fest if you're not a travel killer.
I'll never shut up about mori's either, they should be base kit, im tired of the way it makes survivors play the second they see an offering not flip over. It always turns into an infuriating loop match even more so most of the time too. Survivors shouldn't always be in the mindset they can sip drinks until theres a mori, that's just another example of power survivors overall hold over killers.
Killer is just becoming more and more unfun and it's no wonder survivors ques take so long. Nobody wants the stress and that's a fact.
Moris should not be basekit as they are an excuse to tunnel still as they're useless otherwise, they are offerings for a reason. Looping is not toxic. That is like saying camping is toxic. Survivors are not going to stand still and let you hit them. And yes, they will finish gens and not leave them at 90 because of gen regression perks that are in the meta. They have to assume if the killer doesn't ruin then they have pop or other slowdown perks. Just because you haven't been running them doesn't mean the survivors know that.
-
I've depipped from rank 3 to rank 5 because over 2/3 of my games my teammates DC. On killer I have ~2 min games sometimes because everyone gives up first down (I play blight with meme perks).
-
Collecting traps from the corner of the map are annoying, if anything they can change those spawns and make at least one bag addon basekit.
-
Play whoever you want, I don't like Spirit but I wouldn't harass the player themselves. People in this game need to stop taking things personally.
-
It's because all of the big streamers do it.
-
Hillbilly couldn't catch me at shack so he pretended to give up and tunnel me out, so I don't really farm anymore lol.

Did you not read my post?
I said look what happened with the Pride charm..
Alot of people saying that they got tunneled just because they have the "Pride" Charm on..
Those people shouldn't be trusted without proof. BHVR would only take action with evidence. I wouldn't worry about people getting banned or anything for tunneling an LGBT character in a normal game.

Dead Hard has nothing to do with NoED, but yeah, in a vague way.
The risk is that you need to be injured, and you need good timing (which is difficult, due to lag, admittedly).
The reward is that you dodge an attack & get to a new loop/window. This wastes the Killer's limited time & buys your team time to pop gens. Teamwork.
I asked about dead hard since they're both seen as annoying crutch perks for both sides, I was just curious of your view on it. Thanks for responding.
-
Huntress, Trickster and Deathslinger are few of the strongest killers at shack though. Two can even down through the god pallet.

I'd think the Nurse outplayed me, and she took a risk that she could keep NoED protected, and it paid off. They gambled they could keep NoED alive until the end game, and they succeeded.
Heaven forbid a Killer use a High Risk/High Reward perk like NoED and Gasp Be rewarded!
That's simply not allowed, according to Survivor mains! Apparently Killers should never be rewarded for playing well! It's 'unhealthy' for Killers to play well! 🤦♂️
Do you think dead hard is high risk/high reward as well?

Again, that's just the region, I live in the midwest and after patch 5.0 it switched and killer queues take 10 min while survivor takes <1.

Lol but you learned did you? If gens aren’t moving for 10 min as you say, then you’d guess they might be looking for hatch. Live and learn.
It can be hard to find survivors that don't want to be found. It's not the OP's fault the survivors chickened out of their deserved loss.
-
I get those maps at least 40% of the time and I hate it. It looks pretty but I liked the old atmosphere much more, the daylight makes it too yellow. It's so bright and yellow that I can barely see anything red. It's like a new Ormond.

Why is phan banned? Can anyone tell me why it's inappropriate?

A nerf to his camping value, sure. But is that really important? If you're relying on camping to secure kills, you're not really "winning".
How mediocre he is simply isn't really relevant here.
If they're not "winning" they wouldn't do it, unless they're griefing. We don't need griefers to add to the toxicity in this game.

I will admit I was one to say something that I don't like how survivor counterplay against 90% of the killer roaster.
I'm not saying survivor's shouldn't be able to run, it's the fact that Shift + W is very powerful but requires 0 to no skill or brain usage vs the skill and brain usage killers use.
Not all killers take skill to use though, and not all playstyles by killers take skill to use. That's just how this game is.
-
People really think deathslinger has counterplay in chase huh
-
You do you but if the survivor is smart they won't get the unhook when you are camping, so you're still losing a kill.

Tell me what you expect the killer to do instead?
One survivor hooked, one other survivor left, all gens repaired. What would you do?
When did he say gens were repaired? Why is everyone assuming that?
-
The survivors I play against must've taken the same oath recently! They can never unhook their teammates in time if at all. I dunno what that's about, I'm not camping or anything.
-
I feel like that will be an "obsession/no obsession" issue though, where people will always go after the unhooked person if BT doesn't show up. Also, I have to agree with the comment that says telling the killer a survivor has endurance is like telling the survivor a killer is undetectable.
-
40-50 seconds maybe?

BBQ is fine? I’ve never had anything bad to say about it especially back then so I don’t see myself getting into an argument against it. There are plenty of gf names on here so probably was not me
"Too much reward with minimal requirement"
-
I don't know what you mean by survivor and killer toxicity, but if we're going by what everyone else calls toxic then it would be teabagging/flashlights and tunneling/camping/slugging, right? If so, tunneling/camping can take someone's game away from them and you can't ignore it as survivor, the killer is taking away your chance to participate even though it isn't a personal thing. Clicking and teabagging is easy to ignore after a while, and can't really affect your game-play. For the record though I do find stuff like hitting on hook or nodding on the ground funny, which fits the definition of toxic better than tunneling n stuff.
-
Stridor spirit kept "accidentally" running back into me at hook even when my teammate tried to take a hit for me. I brought BPS too...
-
As a former wraith main I would be fine with a side effect, like being slowed down while cloaked, more visibility, or just moving the addon to Ultra-rare to replace All seeing-spirit. I do not want the addon reworked however, no matter what it shouldn't take away the "aura reading within 12m" part.
-
I guess I'm having bad luck but zombies have been getting him downs or at least helping in every one of my chases today. I can't say having built in pals is weak.
-
I find it funny that to get them you have to kind of play as a basic m1 killer. Also don't end the match too fast, you're doing too well there. It's weird they never changed it because playing as a basic killer with no power isn't really you know, being adept at that killer's power. And I feel ya, I tried for adept Myers and kid you not, had -2 for "proximity to hooked survivor." Sorry I am not the Nurse and cannot teleport away instantly.
-
Queues are faster for me too that way
-
Survivor: Dead Dawg Saloon or Hawkins
Killer: I don't hear anyone talking about this ever but...Springwood?
