Its just funny that peoples who cant deal with killers want a nerf and mostly a green, bronze rank players yelling the most.Freddy is allready dead and he was nothing special yet bhvr nerf him.We need more buffs for killers so theres gonna be more variety on red ranks. The only killer who needs a completely rework its a twins because she is not fun to playing with and against, its anoying to be chased all the time by Victor and be sluged. No,im not a killer main,im playing 50-50 mostly solo as a survivor.I propose the same for peoples who play just one side to understand the game better.

Well if you're a survivor main, take your own advice and play Spirit. Compare her to Nurse. They can both wreck a good squad, but one's putting in much more effort than the other. She doesn't need that big of a nerf, just make chase interaction more skillful and rewarding for both sides. I can imagine her being much more fun then, for both killer and survivor :)

  • Remember Early-game collapse? That was a fun idea :) Too bad it's never going to be implemented :))

Killers are far too op and should be straight up removed from the game. While we're at it lets also remove survivor, because they're also op.

    I don't see why not

  • Yeah, basically. Don't go tunneling if you don't have to, but if they jump in a locker and you suspect DS you might as well eat it unless it throws the game.

I love Tenacity. People sleep on that perk way too much. Unfortunately the Ash didn't get the message.

I get similar frustrations with We'll Make It and Aftercare. My team just doesn't seem to notice the blue icon in the corner.

I can't notice it as much anymore with the UI change so I've been guilty of this. I apologize on behalf of your teammates.

  • Survivors can just split up and heal though. That goes for any killer running IF. Some killers are designed to have great snowball potential. I thought Twins were one of them but I guess not.

  • I might be biased since I play her but I wish they would release more killers like her... Large skill cap... Changes the gameplay. Sometimes I don't feel like playing cat and mouse in circles around a rock.

  • IMO they need to make it activate multiple times but only for 10-20 seconds, whatever feels right OR increase grunts of pain by 50% during the duration of Lucky Break. It's actually crazy on maps like Hawkins, or even normal maps like Coldwind. They can juke you at a jungle gym or run after you break a pallet, and you'll have no idea where they went.

Was playing the Ormond map as Wraith. At least two of them were in a party. I sat there and watched all of them work on a gen together then immediately went to the next to knock it out quick. Ok. If that’s how we are going to play this. Went for a Jeff and downed him, hooked him and went after someone else. Two seconds later unhooked Jeff. Went back and put his butt on the hook again. Had to get someone out of the match fast. He died and I was able to turn the tide of battle after that. Of course got hate messages afterwards. I don’t know what he expected when they were knocking gens out faster than opening a candy bar wrapper.

I don't see why you're complaining about them being salty, I would be a bit annoyed too if I had to wait in queue just to get tunneled. They aren't thinking from your perspective. People in this game aren't very empathetic towards the other side, especially when they're angry. You don't need to justify tunneling though. Even if it is a "dirty" tactic, it works, and it's not like you tunneled because you were out to ruin their day.

  • Hag who Insidious camped the hook outside of DvH range. You decide how I reacted to that. Any other time I'm just "Damn, okay."

The boost Small Game is going to get soon will make hex totems unusable.

They don't need Small Game when your Devour and Undying spawn at the top of hills like a beacon :)

right the sweaty SWF I come across in red ranks sure does feel like friends trying to have fun and not an optimized team that only cares about winning with meta perks and using comms to call out my location

How do you know they're SWF though? I play in red ranks and I only suspect going against a SWF maybe 2-3 times a week. If they are friends on steam or they all brought Balanced Landing to Haddonfield, it's probably a SWF. Now I'm not accusing you of this but I know a lot of people go against a group of survivors that know how to loop and are semi-coordinated, lose, and then say it's a SWF. I would be wary of doing that

Sounds like empty placating. If they know it’s dumb they should rework it or get rid of it. Not say yeah it’s dumb but still keep it

Right. They may be scrapping it for MMR but the emblems will still be in charge of the amount of BP you get. Which sucks but at least we have BBQ.

Luck doesn’t effect chests. It only affects self unhooks, and freeing from Trappers bear traps.

Really? My whole life is a lie haha, I thought the game itself said that somewhere but I could be wrong.

  • Can someone explain why abusing bugged add-ons is bannable but not perks? I genuinely want to know the reasoning behind it.

The fact that grinds my gears is Killers are punished for ending the match early, aka slugging and etc, by less BP and the like, but it’s fine for survivors to end the match early when hatch spawns. It makes my blood boil cause you know those survivors think they “outplayed” me by using a key.

True. When old moris were a thing, killers would most likely be punished for tunneling, camping, then mori-ing off of hook. Not saying they should've pipped, but survivors shouldn't pip from key escapes either. The emblem system is just dumb. BHVR has said that.

  • @Dragonshensi said:

Just had a match where the survivors were losing badly. One was gone and they had three genned themselves and all the gens were close by. Of course hatch spawned close by them. So I was playing great right? Well too bad, time to be punished for it. One of them found a key in a chest, all three got together, and left. I went from an easy 4k to a 1k in a blink of an eye. How is that any tiny shred of fair? Killers should not be punished like this. Hatch is the cowards way out and Killers should at least get extra BP for survivors taking the easy way out of the game. Instead, it’s a win for them and a loss for me, even though there was literally nothing I could do to stop them. I couldn’t even close the hatch cause one of them was bodyblocking allowing the others to use it.

Lmao I've had that exact same thing happen to me. Just because the emblems count it as a loss doesn't mean you have to. I personally count it as a win if no one escapes through a gate. Sorry you missed out on bloodpoints and stuff though.

  • @Tomskrex said:

As I have seen someone say it before and I agreed upon it is something along the:

"If key is usable for escape it means you are probably already streamrolling it so 1 key escape does not matter or you are going to lose anyways without key used."

But yeah, it is kinda poopy to just get rewarded escape like that, but what do I know?

Nah, them using a key to escape a 3-gen they made themselves, or to escape being dead on hook? That's not me getting steamrolled, it means I decided to play fair and not steamroll them.

  • I like seeing flashlights in a lobby or going into the game and realizing it's a sabo squad. They're usually super altruistic and just trying to make fun plays for themselves, so I try to have a fun time too. Seeing flashlights means someone's always going to be wasting time hovering around for a save. I just don't like groups like the one I versed earlier that all brought balanced landing, toolboxes and one BNP+ offering for Hawkins. If I could've dodged I would've. Who knew BL was so good on that map?

  • Over-altruism is usually what kills survivors, coming from a person who plays both sides and sees the perspective from both sides.

What’s easier? Constantly running around gen patrolling? Or just doing bones? When small game perk update comes out most hex and NOED perks will never be used again anyway. Still barely have any counters to how fast gens go though.

Well, the killer can see the aura of gens, to be fair. The problem is when people split up on gens. And with totems, yes they're pretty easy to do when you can actually see them. There are at least 20 different totem spawns to memorize for every single map in the game, and while some are in ridiculously open areas, some are hidden very well, especially on the newer maps. Small game is definitely going to help, but not every survivor will have the time to run around looking for totems unless the killer is AFK or having that much trouble honestly. It also should have the totem counter be basekit, not behind a perk, but killers have to run slowdown perks sometimes so I guess it's fair, huh?

  • "Do bones" "Apply pressure LOL" sound the same to me, both are ridiculous, though I can say all the former needs is a totem counter, NOT in the form of a perk.

  • I understand how you feel, I've had this happen to me when I wasn't even tunneling the person (old DS, bleh). You have to accept it and move on though. They brought a perk to help them. You didn't bring Bloodwarden or NOED or even No Way Out. Obviously the person who brought a perk to possibly help them in endgame will escape that situation.

  • Not everyone playing survive with friends are practicing for a tournament you know. Some people play with their friends because it's fun. Killers that complain about typical 4-man sweat squads probably don't realize that sometimes, its a just 4 man solo squad, and they're just better. A lot of people also only play in groups of 2-3, and don't bring super coordinated meta perks with BNPs or Insta heals. And sometimes SWF's still suck, because comms may be an advantage when talking about information such as "Who's going for the unhook?", but it's not going to help them loop and waste the killer's time if the killer is more skillful. I think the problem isn't with survive with friends, but actually bad matchmaking, a broken ranking system, and the fact that four survivors can bring a brand new part or other strong items and perks.

I HIGHLY doubt it, 3 perk slots that are only useful when you're injured sounds like a dumb decision to do

Iron will, dead hard, resilience users just don't exist eh

  • Oh I've noticed that too, especially when I had two key escapes in the same match but none of them had Plunderers. I've been finding them a lot as survivor, as well as ranger medkits and green toolboxes

  • Second one sounds fine to me and I think the first one is a good idea as well, but as someone else pointed out it basically brings old BT back. Maybe take a lesson from old BT and have it so Savior only activates once. In my imagined scenarios you will just one for one as normal if you are going in healthy, but if you are injured and absolutely need to unhook you can do that. Good for users that are comfortable staying injured. Great ideas in my opinion :)

    @Aven_Fallen

I was thinking the same thing 😂

Maybe if the devs would actually invest in giving survivors options outside of a perk that doesn’t even deter killers from tunneling, we wouldn’t see that many people doing it.

I’ve literally had killers say this to me in post chat after making sure they tunneled me out “Nice DS you got there” because it literally doesn’t do anything impactful to really make them not want to eat it.

Right. I don't run DS often but when I do the killer will eat the DS and proceed to tunnel until death hook. Either that or I am not running DS so they think it's also a freebie to tunnel. Also against a killer like Nurse or Huntress it doesn't waste their time at all aside from the 5 second stun.

  • I don't play Billy but for Nurse...

Perks: BBQ, Infectious Fright, other two can be whatever, slow down like Sloppy Butcher or Corrupt Intervention, info perks like A Nurse's Calling. Many people find Shadowborn good on her. NOED if you want to be spicy.

Addons: Try without addons for a while, don't use plaid flannel more than once or twice IMO. If you want to use addons then Fragile Wheeze and Dark Cincture (recharge addons) are great.

Maps: Midwich Elementary yo. Any open outdoor map is nice though.

    Hope this helps :)

  • Any time I've had a situation like that where the survivors are hiding and not touching gens they're looking for hatch with a key they plundered. I would suggest looking around the map to double check they aren't doing that, as long as the map isn't too big.

  • While I agree it's a douche thing to last second switch, I can't really complain about it. Do survivors get to know the killer they're facing off against? No, but killers can see survivors, their profiles if they're on Steam, and the items they bring. Not being able to switch killers because of a non existent MMR system is annoying though.

Okay but can we talk about the fact that they just dropped a massive fire bomb with this new matchmaking/rank system? Where we will all be reset to 20 EVERY 30 DAYS?!?! And if you make it from rank 20 to rank 1, amidst all the camping, tunneling, sweatiness, toxicity, etc., you get 250k bloodpoints. L O L. ELL. OH. ELL. If you move from a rank 20 to a rank 16, you get 30k bloodpoints. So one game. So ONE GAME of DBD = 4 rank movements?!?!

Guys, WHAT? Who is making these decisions? And why, in all the surveys I've seen and participated in, was this not addressed? Sure, it would be nice to get rewarded for your rank if you're going to reset it every 30 days which is unlike any game I've ever played, tbh. But now?! What's the point?! If this new system actually goes through as stated in the new update, I will immediately and aggressively uninstall. I just can't take this BS anymore.

Yeah, I was hoping for the red rank achievements but I can barely go up 4 pips a month, let alone 20. They just want people to play their game 24/7 I guess.
