swf is one of the biggest factors to why the game is impossible to balance which therefore does hurt the game indeed. but playing with a bunch of friends in a cooperative game is so much fun.
anyways i do not know why people say dead by daylight would die without swf because we don't know how many people actually play only for swf compared to also killer and/or solo, and besides the player count is very high. not trying to say they should remove swf, just think that is an overreaction.

maybe about smasher but the priest never got added? the devs went defunct shortly after his trailer
-
Her visual and audial design coupled with relatively simple gameplay that is also unique
-
The game is boring as is, i'm not going to tolerate suffering with bad console bozos
-
Solo-Mode needs to be a thing.
strongly agree
-
yep. i always thought that the animations and the ideas themselves are pretty violent, but the actual impact is not severe enough. it's just ketchup explosion. for a game that marks itself the horror hall of fame, it's lacking in the gore department badly.
-
pretty much only useful for delaying heals or negating adrenaline in my experience
-
fun personality, doesn't play only dead by daylight, and doesn't take the game seriously
-
was going to pick silent hill but remembered how ugly dbd made heather
-
which isn't really important, people complain about solo survivor all the time. yes, it's very weak compared to swf, it always has been.

70 dollars is stupid in my opinion for this game because the online coop is a downgrade from the previous games. online coop was my favorite part about the previous games and it's basically reduced to online movie mode. i understand why they made it like this (there are way too many independent character stories to make it work well) but regardless i was hoping to play it with my friend who has never played a supermassive game like this before but we decided not after learning they changed the coop to this system.
as for the game itself, although i've never played it, it looks like the best one this company did so far, even better than until dawn tbh. ppl say the characters are unlikeable but honestly i like the spicy attitudes. everyone are different than each other and i'm sure most people who still have some teenager spirit in them will like at least 1 of the characters. it's clearly not a game to be taken very seriously anyways (who the ######### adds in a line "them's the rules ya noob")

what nerf i dont see any news about it. the last thing is a bug fix patch?

I can't wait for them to focus on what is actually making the game imbalanced: SWF (brokenly OP) and solo queue (super bad) power difference, top tier killers (nurse, Blight with top addons) being brokenly OP, terribly made maps with super random structures that can basically decide the game for one side right as the game starts, skilless camp/tunneling the first hook being the strongest strategy for killers, rather than chases.
But hey, yeah, Dead hard is the problem...
However Dead hard changes, and it seems that it will, it won't solve your problems as killer. You will still camp/tunnel first hook and moan about not getting a 4k every game.
While all the survivors switch to sprint burst, Nurse players will win yet again.
It's just so short-sighted, all these people whining about Dead hard when both weaker sides (solo queue survivor and low-mid tier killers) are so much weaker than both stronger sides (OP nurse/Blight, and SWF).
completely agreed here. i also believe dead hard is just complained about more because people haven't seen what camaraderie, sprint burst, and some other perks, are capable of, and losing to dead hard feels more obvious and worse

went up against a mommy
the only community that would write something like this and it would still be in context

my mates don't play the game anymore so i wouldn't actually care if it was deleted or not.

Seems to be an unpopular opinion, but: I think survivor is better with a controller. Getting flashlights down takes a while, but otherwise I feel like the game play is more fluid. Killer is a different story, especially depending on who you're playing.
Anyway, they just look salty.
I can see why you say that, as you don't need precise aim most of the time and the joystick is ideal for loops. once i got used to the keyboard, it's very hard to turn back on pretty much any game except maybe something like FIFA. it just feels faster and easier to press the buttons instead of curling your fingers. also there's the fact that keyboard stays on its own so you don't need to hold it like a controller so there's more free fingers to use.

seems like u r not used to the internet

i think the only exceptional chapter that truly revived the game after plague's release was SILENT HILL. the game during SILENT HILL chapter was in the best state it has ever been in. I don't think it's possible that we will ever reach that amazing state of the game again.
most of the chapters in between plague's release and the current chapter were either forgettable (all-kill, ghostface) or actually harmful for the game (mikaela reid, binding of kin with its massive amount of bugs, ash with mettle of man) with the exception of cursed legacy and resident evil.

hmmmmmm? i think your idea has merit
Sleek, curvaceous, many feminine faces with eyes that track and looks that kill? Maybe some can be contorted into a perpetual scream, or an endless mania that moves and cackles while it chases.
sounds good to me, in fact it reminds me of evil within 2 somewhat. i think people put this idea off, because you have a particular tone and called it 'mommy', but frankly that image doesn't look out of place.

PS5 has no themes??? :o
sadly won't get a PS5 unless I can walk in stores to get it (dont want to pay scalpers) but I still have my PSP & PS4 so I'm good for a while. :))
how old is your PSP lol

i think sadism is a normal trait but i MIGHT be wrong on that one
-
give the twins a try. they'll quickly get you back into the 'zone'. i've gotten much better playing twins for a month than playing dead by daylight in general for 5+ years. they're very educational.
-
honestly i have no idea. just a few years ago, bad manners in gameplay was not bad manners but normal manners. everyone expected ppl to be angry and hate each other but it didnt matter. it's the internet and everyone is behind a monitor being a keyboard warrior. now this behavior can get you banned from some games you paid for. i don't know how it came to be.
perhaps it's the result of making games more casual, user-friendly and less competitive? if you take a look at CSGO and DOTA matches, which are known for their notorious community, people are still 'toxic' to each other. then there's dead by daylight, a pretty casual game, where toxicity is acknowledged as a terrible thing and some players will literally change how they play just to not seem toxic. maybe it's a community thing.

the most reliable way to use main event is simply to camp during it's duration. wait until the gauge is at 1% then activate it, then camp until it deactivates. if people try to rescue, they should get downed. that should be 1 free stage if you play it correctly. don't make it too obvious, because if you only stay very close to the survivor for that long amount of time, the survivors will identify your strategy and adapt on the spot. you have infinite range, so keep at a medium distance (i would say about 12-20 metres) while patrolling nearby generators. don't break line of sight with the suppressed survivor for too long. speaking of line of sight, be sure to hook the survivor on a hill if possible. hill hooks are very easy to camp especially if you are a ranged killer.
-
i have the same feeling.
i think part of this is due to the fact that you are alone against four as a killer. the survivors even as a solo survivor have 3 others to save them or blame for losing. when you play killer you are the only one on your side and you can blame only yourself (and perks, maps, and other things, but survivors can blame the same too so it's not an exclusive thing). this can put a lot of pressure.
you also remember the bad matches more than the good matches in dead by daylight. you wouldn't want to play killer because of a horrible swf experience even if you like the killer. it's very discouraging to even think about. the reward for playing killer is tiny compared to the pain you have to go through in my opinion.on the contrary, if every match in solo survivor is expected to be a death with the blame put on your teammates, that isn't a bad match anymore. it's the ordinary, and therefore the rare good matches are savored much more playing solo survivor.
then there's the fear of playing badly, especially on something you're good at, and that's not exclusive to dead by daylight. you're not gaining anything of value by pushing yourself in dead by daylight so why bother. that's just the competitive spirit in a person. everyone wants to show off their skills, but if you're putting in so much just to show off to four randoms, it doesn't feel worth it.

do you mean when you hold your left analog forward and turn the camera with the right analog at the same time, the character changes his direction to where the camera now looks at? this is normal behavior for most of third-person games. you'll need to readjust your left analog as you turn the camera in order to keep the same direction.
or do you mean when you turn your right analog, it controls both the character and the camera without any left analog influence? that is abnormal behavior and i have never seen that happen, so if that's the case i'm sorry.

i doubt there are that many hackers. i play on pc with crossplay and they are uncommon. i'm not going to deny they exist, i've had a bunch over the years, but it's not literally every game.
regardless i can believe that your queue times are horrible without crossplay so you're stuck in a lose-lose situation. i believe that's because when you turn crossplay off, you are only matched with people who also have crossplay off on the same platform.
besides all that, the main issue in this case is cheating and disabling crossplay wouldn't fix that issue for everyone. cheaters will still remain; it's the anti-cheat's shortcomings, not crossplay.

since the early game is extremely disadvantageous for the killer and against an efficient swf, the actual match starts at 2-1 gen remaining for most of the killer roster, good killers may immediately search for a 3-4 gen spot and direct their attention there. even more effective if their hex is within that zone.
so let's say the killer hooked a survivor in that area, they may start proxy camping even if there's 5 gens left to do. it's because they do not want any gen done inside that setup otherwise it's nullified (even just one generator on the other side of the map of 2 generators close to each other is a very bad situation for any killer), and naturally expect 2-3 gens done very shortly afterwards.
with a hooked survivor in that 3-4 gen setup, and maybe a hex totem, it's nigh undefeatable against a good killer, if you are not a swf with meta perks. chances are those loops are already exhausted and the killer can see each generator while also camping near the hooked survivor, so anyone who tries to rescue will either trade hooks or get downed in vain, and anyone who tries to do a generator will get hit by a hatchet or something of that sort. it's possibly the best game strategy for killer side if the RNG factors make it happen.
-
some languages use 'he' instead of 'it' might be why
-
yes because i prefer the survivor gameplay. i don't actually care about the end result because the game is highly luck based as is. in fact, based on my recent experience, i'm pretty sure my survival rate in solo gameplay is below 50%.
-
text chat would be better because voice chat between strangers in this game would be really bad and i dont think many people would actually use it
-
already exists, it's called playing survivor
-
she reminds me of jane and i can remember only one fun game with jane in it
-
i agree with you. the meta perks are meta to make the game balanced, because without them the game is extremely unbalanced. nothing would stop swfs from rushing gens in 5 mins, nothing to stop killers from proxy camping in a 3 gen setup and usually guaranteeing a win.
they should not touch ever decisive strike or borrowed time or corrupt intervention and similar "mandatory" perks until the game is actually balanced by itself.
it would make sense to insert the perks as one of the gameplay mechanics so there can be more variety in builds and the "balancing" perks would be a part of the game for everyone instead of a "take or lose" choice.
-
it feels like they picked the most commonly typed perks because some of them sound outdated. in my opinion self care is not meta anymore. camaraderie coh or even a medkit are much better than self care. iron will was meta mainly against spirit. decisive strike is a meta perk only because tunneling is meta, just like corrupt intervention is meta because early game is extremely bad for killer. and barbecue & chili is not even a good perk, it's only meta against the terrible grind xD i guess they're nerfing it along with the grind to balance.
-
in-game text or voice chat or both for survivor. i found myself not playing the game at all except with my friends mainly because of the social factor. so, this is the best answer i can think of
-
i think it's obvious why. the 2 most effective chase perk setups for killer are nothing in comparison to dead hard.
bamboozle is best used to make overpowered loops in certain maps balanced and is not very useful in most common loops such as t wall or j wall where you should not vault anyway. spirit fury + enduring is a combination of 2 perks that functions more like a bonus hit every 2 chases, but it's completely useless if survivors pre-drop pallets.
every other chase perk (brutal strength, blood favour, stbfl, et cetera) are either severely constricted by a negative (lose stacks if you hit obsession, bound to hex totem) or simply not worth a perk slot (slightly faster pallet break animation). this is also why killer meta is mostly gen regression perks because detection perks are generally redundant if you are an experienced killer and chase perks are simply not worth it.
meanwhile dead hard - extend chases by at least 1 more loop if used correctly with the cost of 40 second cooldown (that ticks only when not running, which is natural as not running usually means fixing a generator, breaking totem, or healing so it's not really downtime)
i want them to keep dead hard because dead hard gives the chase more depth than running and occasionally pressing space, but there needs to be a counterpart to this for every killer. it's quite overpowered and has been for years.
