Only one of those can be fixed and the other bhvr will never do.
Which can be fixed?

By teammates or bugs?
Both.

The issue with that is people with DS if it's close to running out will sometimes purposefully find the killer to stun them. It can still be weaponized even when tunneling isn't occuring
Then the problem isn't the fact that they head into a locker the problem is the timer or activation.
To solve the problem your describing either lower the timer to 45 seconds or deactivate when another survivor is hooked. No need to deactivate when you enter a locker.
-
I don't understand the issue with DS from a locker. If you just got off the hook and the killer tunnel you then you go into a locker and get the stun, they still tunneled the person and thus the stun was justified.

Kindred, DS, UB, DH
Thats good but I usually only take 1 meta perk which is Dead Hard.

@AhoyWolf said:
Kindred, Iron Will, Alert and Bond if you want the ultimate Solo build, you always know where your teammates are and where the Killer is, you could also run an Exhaustion perk like Dead Hard or Sprint Burst.
That's actually really good, I might try that. Although I'm not sure of iron will since I can't play injured for the life of me.

Run Bond and lead the killer towards them :)
I got to start doing this when I play solo.

Pretty much. If everyone was "good" at Dead By Daylight, playing it would be awful on both sides. You'd only see a couple of killers played, there would be about ten meta perks used for both survivor and killer, and some maps would just be death sentences for one side or the other.
I doubt you'll ever see that, though. This game has a pretty regular trickle of new blood flowing into it. People who actually get good at the game get bored and leave. The ranked system is awful - there are survivors who should not even be purple ranks in red ranks, and that means killers get boosted by bad survivors being easy snacks for them. The MMR system (which I expect to once again be a fantastic failure) will also keep mismatching players.
The devs will continue to refuse to acknowledge how unbalanced the game is when everyone is trying to win because, well. They won't find enough games in the statistics to support it, because once again, the way they match and rank players is broken. So the 4man sweatsquad SWF or ascended psychic Nurse will continue to be a painful anecdote everyone recounts, but nothing will be done about it.
Theoretically, if a 4 good survivors, went up against a high mmr killer what would the outcome be.
-
So theoretically speaking clown could just hit the survivor, they get a boost, clown throw the yellow bottle in front of them walk through it and get the speed boost (since it doesn't take long for the cloud to change) and switch instantly to the purple bottles to catch up to the survivor and down them immediately. Is that about right?
-

Nope, theres a delay. Once it turns yellow it gives a boost
What about the time it takes to switch bottles? How long is it?
-
@bkn said:
i didnt play new clown, but i guess you can use the antidotes for: hooking survivors faster, getting a boost before reloading your bottles, use them in a chase where you can get a hit before survivor reaches a pallet.
the "big" buff seems to be the the 2 seconds faster reload which 100% helps him.
overall, the rework wasn´t enough to make him more viable, his problems, pre dropped pallets will still be a thing i guess. if the speed boost was something like 15% or even 20% it would start to be interesting...but 10% for a few seconds shouldnt help much considering ou throw away our ammo for slowing them down in a loop.
Wouldn't the purple bottles help with pre dropped pallets?

Only by the time you hit them, swap bottles, throw the yellow one, wait 3 seconds, get the boost. The survivor will be at normal speed or camping the pallet like normal.
You don't get the boost automatically from the white cloud?
-
I have an idea for a rework for him.
I think he should have the ability to send clones to look for survivors when cloaked. This would keep survivors guessing if its the real killer or not.
-
They probably choose those maps by throwing darts at them on a dartboard.

You see my forum name right?....
That was stupid of me, ignore that question and answer the second one I edited.
-
Never mind ignore that question.
In your opinion do you think this buff lessen other counters to him?
-
I think your only focusing on the negative. Sure you don't like the UI, but this isn't entirely bad.
Killers got well needed buff (although they could do more with wraith and trapper)
Older perks got buffed so that they could be used more.
And the new map changes looks good.
-
I think its the standing that looks weird but other then that j think its fine.

@MongolPSR said:
The short answer is they probably don't care because they can't monetize it or control it.
They could technically monetize it, if you think about it. All they would have to do is work with this part of the community to put it into the game and cell it to players for a small price. Part of the profit goes to the perk community for their hard work.
-
I hope not. I envy PC for having custom perk icons. Personally I want different perk icon colors back like green and pink.

Someone needs a sarcasm-detector.
In my defense its hard to determine sarcasm from text.
-
Literally the only change DS needs is to shorten the time and pause the time during a chase.
*Cough* and make it so that you don't leave scratch marks when you stun the killer. *Cough*

Finally someone is talking about that!
People have already been talking about it

I have a few concerns about certain killer.
Pig i feel one thing that definitely needs to be done is the fact that she can stand in front of boxes in order to prevent the person from taking off the traps. Thats ultimately not fair
Ghostface I feel does not need to be made stronger untill his stalking mechanic is fixed and not inconsistent. There are times when I'm looking straight at him and he not being taken out of stalk. Also it sucks that he can stalk mid chase, it literally makes not sense.
Other than that i would be fine with these changes. Although I'm concerned how will it effect high level players.

Either put up with it or play something else. This game was not optimized for console.
Thats not fair though. Us console peasants have to deal with this horrible frame rate while PC has better everything?

They were made taller than before wdym. Quite a few of them actually have tall walls now.
Trying to shoot over a tire makes you hit thin air that shouldn't have collision, that should be fixed.
Really they were made taller? I don't see it.
-
Well the loops and structures on autoheaven are really low so it would be impossible to play against them.
Maybe if they made the structures taller.
-
I would suggest so. Just to put an obsession in the game to prevent tunneling. Also if I'm being honest I take it because of incompetent teammates as well as the killer.

In the hexy tournament couple months ago, the teams were dominating the best nurses out there. The nurse's couldn't even get more then 4 hooks because the survivors all were doing their part. Just because you suck against nurse doesn't mean she's bad for the game.
Is it true? Can a good nurse really be beaten?

Unless I blind you before the first gen is repaired.
You fool, i was a claudette main my first time playing. You won't find me.
-
Ha jokes on you I incorporated Detectives Hunch in one of my builds.
-
Does anyone remember No One Left Behind exist?
-
Definitely spine chill. I have gotten better without using it.
-
Although I can see what you saying (which I agree with coming from a survivor main) some of your suggestions aren't fair, so here is what I would do.
Generator Speeds: there is too ways to fix this, make Corrupt intervention base kit or offer a secondary NESSACARY objective thats needed in order to escape.
Survivor Perks: I can agree survivor perks need to be changed. Dead Hard i can agree needs a bit changing but a one time use is terrible and would kill the perk ( you don't want to nerf a perk into the ground to make it useless you want to nerf it slightly in order to be usable but not overpowered) so my change for dead hard would be to put it on a token system. Make Dead Hard have 3 tokens and once they are used its deactivated and you permanently have the exhaustion status effect.
Borrowed time is fine and doesn't need to be changed. Its literally the one perk tha helps with camping and is countered by stealth killers. It's fine.
Adrenaline is fine as it rewards survivor for doing there objectives. Its also countered by NOED.
Iron Will is fine and doesn't need to be changed. Most killers from what I can see don't have a problem with it. And if you're worried about tracking and finding survivor, there are a multitude of killer perks, add-ons and abilities that help with that.
Object of obsession- i can agree this perk needs to be changed as it gives way too much information to survivors. Here is how I would change it. If you enter the killers terror radius you see their aura for 3 seconds and if you leave the killers terror radius they see your aura for 3 seconds. Also make it work if your only the obsession.
Items- keys i can understand needs to be changed but toolboxes and medkits as well as their addon have been nerfed to have less charges. They don't need to be nerfed further.
There is my input on your post.

Patrolling is obviously required but is not the best strategy at all stages of a game, based on map, team etc.
It's not optimal for the killer to leave a survivor who they already know is playing aggressively and will jump on a gen as soon as they're back is turned. But its basically the only choice.
Well I assume getting stunned is the worst case scenario every time and if you are presented with an opportunity to be stunned all ways the best solution is to avoid that even if it's not the best thing to do.
Anyways all the problems about DS would be fixed with just a time change. Maybe 30 to 45 seconds.
-
@JPA said:

The locker forces the killer to grab, leave, or wait out the timer. If they just carried on running the killer could just slug them instead. If they say on a gen I assume they could be slugged with a lunge attack (and no grab) but not 100% sure
So why not just leave. Isn't thats what's best for the killer to patrol?
-
I don't understand the hate people have for getting DS in a locker. If your chasing a person and they happen to go into a locker and you grabbed them then you still tunneled that person. Therefore the stun on you was justified. Its no different then vaulting a pallet or window and getting grabbed when you just got off the hook.
-

I would watch but can you tell me when you make the video
Ok I will.
-
I feel it didn't really need a nerf as I was fine with it and ther were multiple counters to it (like seriously did everyone forget soul guard exist). I think they were specifically targeting the fact that you can unknowingly Break multiple ruins and still have it up thus contributing to its massive RNG problem.
But I think what survivors fail to realize is that changing the meta for killers and survivors is good for them as well as it leads to intense, fair and fun gameplay.
-
@TheClownIsKing said:
This is Not Happening.
It really needs a serious buff to its current function, or a total overhaul.
There’s nothing compelling about this perk in its current iteration.
I'm surprised anyone remembers that perk exist.
The 3 perks j feel could use a buff is Lucky Break, Premonition, and sole survivor.
Lucky Break is a perk i feel needs to be buffed either with the time or whatever because it seem like 3 min is not enough.
Premonition is another one. The cooldown is way too long to ever be used effect. What make it worse is that it is susceptible to false positives. All of these make it obsolete to Spine Chill.
Sole survivor is another one. Its good in my opinion but the bad thing about it is that to ever come into effect someone has to be dead or leave making it most useless throughout the whole game if no one dies.
-
@VSchmitt said:
Was "maining" Nurse before, then I took a break, b4 Autoheaven rework. Tried one game with her in autoheaven and BOY how many dead zones.
Every new map/reworked map is a huge shadow nerf to Nurse.
Really? Isn't dead zones good for her and bad for thr survivor?
-
Whatever hit validation they have on they need to turn it off because its just not working. Vaulting pallets and windows are basically a coin flip of weather or not you would get hit through them. And idk certain killers make the issue worse( i.e nurse, doctor, legion ect)

Depends on the quality of the survivor than it is being in a SWF or not. There were plenty of survivors I couldn't get back when. I'm sure with today's player base I would just be giving BHVR more statistics to nerf her more.
Best way to run a Nurse is thinking like one. At least it used to be. A friend of mine who still plays says all the Nurses she sees have that 4.2 m/s addon with 1 blink and play with Enduring and Spirit Fury. So the quality of Nurse mains seems to gone into a downward spiral.
I try my best to think like her but she has two blinks so if I outplay the first its near impossible to outplay the second because she is too close to predict.

My answer to that would be, is it fair to infinity loop a good killer because the loop contains a fat shame? Does the skill level of the killer influence their hitbox size and does the skill level of the survivor allow them to squeeze through?
FYI, this loop exists on swamp maps for over a year.
Ok I see what you mean but still I still dread playing any nurse because I know that its going to end badly. Its why I can't take any thread on nurse seriously because there are those nurses that can 4k easily even against a swf. Its even worse if its a map where there are little to no line of sight blockers in the middle that makes it worse.
Like seriously what am I supposed to do against that? I have made a thread on this before and most of what people say is that you can't do anything.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
so it's working. the bugs are intended to discourage people from learning nurse because she's the best killer. for that reason alone they will not fix nurse's bugs
Genuine question
Do you think the bugs make it more fair to play against a good nurse?
-
I find it fun since I'm less likely to be found crouching.
-
I can agree I thought it was fine as is and it didn't need a nerf or change. I can't say i really had a big problem with ruin and Undying. Plus there are a multitude of ways to deal with it.
