Braced for the downvotes but here we go. Try reading the full post before you knee jerk react.
Don't get me wrong, I don't like hard tunneling some killers just use it as the fallback or baseline playstyle, and they suck. Lots of killers tunnel because it's expedient, it's an excellent crutch for new/bad killer players and for mid/low skill survs it's basically a guarenteed loss and really sucks to play against. Tunneling someone out at 4-5 gens is proper maidenless behaviour. But mid-late game a tactical tunnel is often necessary.
Thing is, if you have a survivor team with 2 good chase runners who can out skill the killer, won't give an inch and 2 weak chase runner who the killer can down. What is going to happen? Prizes for the correct answer.
When I play killer, if I identify a survivor who can string a chase out and chain pallets, vaults, loop efficiently, 360 effectively etc then I won't commit to a straight up chase with them because it'll lose me gens. Double that if they're obviously trying to encourage chase, beckoning, clicking etc. I don't consider myself a particularly sweaty killer (I will often let 1 or 2 survs go per match) but I'm not going to double down on chases that will lose me the game. I'll wait until either they misplay for a save or unhook, or when I'm at a point where I have control of the game and can chase and down them at my leisure.
My Point is if you can outskill the killer and you stick the figurative boot in by never letting them hit you, then you're encouraging that killer to go after weaker members of the team. At which point you either rush gens as hard as possible and sacrifice a team mate to get out. Or you over commit to trying to wind up the killer and give them free pressure by not doing gens, throwing the game.
Sometimes to need to encourage the killer to go after you, not by antagonising them but by making them think they can get you. Walk around injured as an enticing target, make deliberate misplays to feign that you're bad at chase, even (shock horror) just full on deliberately take a hook.
Special mention for those particular individuals who deliberately take an endurance protection hit when you've just been unhooked then complain when you get tunneled straight away. Honestly what did you expect?
i don't fully disagree that being said i wonna point out that not all killers tunnel equally some are better then other in that avenue and that's a thing that on nether sides of the player base wonna even talk about tbh i think that the volatility of the game need to go down on both side in term of tunneling /shorting too much some of the maps (good for low tier killer and creates problem for high tier killers) and gen being a bit longer with out regression perk being too much on the strong side (more gen time the stronger the regression perk become stronger) i do think that there's some base line gameplay need a good think over in term on how volatile the game can be. although im not sure how to fully address it

the pallets are worse now than before. They put too many in but "reverted". Now it's alot of medium rock/pallet/small rock. So overall you have easier to deal with pallets. From what I have seen.
that's but god dam Gideon meat plant need this sooo much play one yesterday that map particularly is so bad lmfao

yeah this is on all platforms it's really bad on xbox you get like 10 frames even when they are not lit only happens when the gate switch are interactable after the gens are done

I merged my xbox and playstation account & none of my DLC will transfer to my xbox which is what I play on and what I bought at least 90% of it on including the game when it was not free via gamepass. When I log into my PS account on my partners ps5 all my stuff is there, but not on my xbox where I bought everything and where I play. I am missing too many things to list but going through past posts it seems others never got their accounts to work nor be fixed nor any support helping them. I just started to get into DBD again 3 weeks ago and can't even play with the stuff I own and bought. It sucks. Anyone else get help or fix it themselves? I have tried so many things.
some other post a mod answered to something similar here ill just copy paste
Have you logged into both platforms? We highly recommend players boot the game on the latest version before enabling Cross-Progression, in order to facilitate the syncing process.

No one is skipping anything. You think its a good idea to demand to sit and watch the penalty count down with the game running? What purpose does that serve other just wasting computer resources?
What if i tab out of the game and watch a YouTube video or play a game on my phone? Do you want the timer to pause for that too? Should the game monitor our eye movement to make sure we're watching the timer and thinking about what we've done?
and funny enough on console you can't even do that you would have to let the console open on bdb the entire time and not any game lmfao

A 56% kill rate means on average only getting a 2k with an uncommon match thrown in of getting more. Thats not winning more than losing. Survivors aren't a team and dont win/lose/tie together either, so there's no ties. A survivor wins if they escape (their own individual win condition). A killer wins with a majority of the kills (3k+). It would take a 62.5% kill rate to be between a 2k and a 3k on average - that there would be a 50% win rate on average. Remember: a 3k in a match is a 75% kill rate for that match.
that's untrue as far as im aware 2k is a tie on average for the killer i left a post explaning it on why the 60% killrate is overtuned with stats but basically what matters is kill distrubations overtime you can go all the way down to 54% killrate and still winning more game then losing
from the dbd wiki and a lot of older post on how dbd killer mmr works
"
Ranked Trial Mechanics
During ranked Trials, the Skill-Based Matchmaking Rating functions as a sort of game within a game.
In essence, each Survivor is in an individual mini-Trial with the Killer and vice versa, in which wins, losses, and draws can occur. The game effectively tracks each mini-Trial, adds up the individual wins, losses, or draws, and calculates the change towards the Player's MMR score based on that.
"
The system has been in use since 8 September 2021 and replaced the previous matchmaking system, which had matched Players based on their grades
as far as im aware the same system is still in the game for hidden mmr in your normal games so ill take my old example from the other post
lets say the kill distribution goes something like this over a sample size of 10k games
0kill 18.93%
1kill 16.76%
2kills 12.14%
3kills17.39%
4kills 34.78%
total killrate 58.08%
at that kill rate the win rate for the killer would be 52.17% draw would be 12.14% and losses would be 35.69% when you have 2 kills your mmr relatively stay the same it counts toward a draw you may still pip up but it's not your mmr so my point still stand unless behaviour changed the system recently and it's not base on kills anymore. and your right about survivor not being a team in term of them affecting there mmr witch btw it's really flawed as hell and the only draw for survivor is hatch but on the killer sides of things what counts toward it's mmr system is kill distribution not kill rates but correct me if im wrong and im missing something

Well I thought 56% is lower than average haha.
depends on the killers that you play but tbh at 56% killrate you winning more games than you're losing it's around 52.5 ish% killrate that you start losing more games depending on the kills distribution from your avrage 0 to 4k kills so you're doing verry good

@NarkoTri1er said:
People who choose to play killer aren't magically better at the game than your average survivor. There are just as many mediocre killers as there are mediocre survivors, after controlling for the 1:4 ratio, obviously. Most players are average because they aren't professionals and shouldn't be expected to be professionals to have a rewarding gameplay experience. So if the escape rate is less than 50%, which it is by quite a large margin, this indicates that the game design itself favors killers, which it obviously does.
killrate 60% = winrate 50% (2k on average). With the current matchmaking, this basically means the game is balanced (even though with improved matchmaking killrates would surely drop by significant margin).
Escape rate of 50% would mean 50% killrate, which further means killer winrate going somewhere around 40-45%.
With this fact, average killer wins 50% of the time.
To turn around and then say the escape rate is low because most survivors are bad, completely ignores that most killers are just as bad, on average. But the OP game mechanics killers have at their disposal makes it far easier for mediocre killers to win against mediocre survivors. In other words, an intermediate survivor loses against an intermediate killer, most of the time. You need an expert survivor to consistently beat an intermediate killer in DBD. An expert killer will beat expert survivors most of the time, too. It is only a minority of elite survivors that can actually prosper against expert killers, and killers don't even face these teams very often because elite players are a tiny percentile of the player base. The balance differential is clearly evident in the absurdly long kill streaks that some killer mains have achieved, which is unheard of on survivor side, and unheard of in other popular PvP games that are sensibly balanced. The margin only gets smaller as you approach the very top of MMR, and even then, 4 man SWFs still escape less than killers.
game mechanics make it easier for mediocre killers to win against mediocre SOLOQ survivors.
Regarding expert survivors vs. expert killers, you are plain wrong, expert survivors will wipe the floor with majority of killer roster most of the time.
And please let's not talk about MMR where soft cap is so low that you can easily reqch it quickly, not to mention how matchmaking functions thanks to oversaturated soft cap level.
Regarding killer winstreaks, you literally have top <1% players winstreaking because their overall game knowledge is significantly higher than game knowledge of their average opponent (ohh yeah, the well known MMR again where person that is amongst best killer/survivor players in the world goes in lobby with people who don't have nearly as much skill). Same goes for both sides. .
The fundamental principle of game theory is that you have a balance of challenge and reward, which produces a flow state, and that is called "fun". But if survivors aren't rewarded for skillful input, because low skill cheese tactics are so effective, then the game ceases to be fun, and they rage quit (i.e. go next). This is not a skill issue on the players part, it is a critical game design issue whereby a large percentage of the player base doesn't even consider a match worth playing until the end, because the mechanics are inherently unfun. In fact I have never seen such a high percentage of quitters in any other popular PvP game, compared to DBD.
you literally...already have skill input in terms of macro and micro knowledge of the game. This has nothing to do with game design, it has to do with people usually looking at the game from one perspective only (thinking long chases are almost everything that matters etc.)
The very harsh fact about this game is that it has a VERY STEEP LEARNING CURVE similar to games like CS2.
And the main problem with the "go next" epidemic is that dbd players usually don't play any other game, suffer from burnout but don't wanna uninstall because they don't know how to fill the void left by taking a break from dbd. Not to mentiok that dbd has one of the most petty and entitled communities i have ever seen in any video game.
If you're a really good killer main, you don't need BHVR to hold your hand to help you kill survivors. Your skill as killer will make you an intimidating presence all by itself. If the survivors aren't intimidated by you, then you're just not good at killer role. And if survivors don't consider the game worth playing, then the devs need to address their game design instead of blaming the survivors for "not working together".
this literally goes for the survivor side too lol, yet you see new handholding mechanics arriving to "help newer players" while they end up being abused by veterans. You are again looking at the very situation from rose tinted glasses and are acting like survivors are leaving the game and are doing so because "game is killer sided" which is factually wrong.
altough this is untrue at 60% killrate the win ration for killers is high way higher than 50% the thing you forgot to mentions is at 2 kills it's a draw it's not hard to draw at all the winrate of killers in general at 60% killrate is really high witch mean that survivors in general lose way that much more than they win they don't even come close to winning 50% of the time here a example closer to what you're talking about but don't take into account
lets say the kill distrubation goes something like this over a sample size of 10k games
0kill 18.93%
1kill 16.76%
2kills 12.14%
3kills17.39
4kills 34.78&
total killrate 58.08%
ok here the thing at 2 kills no one wins no one loses so if you take that into account it does something like this
surv wins 35.69% of the games
draws 12.14% of the game
killer win 52.17% of the games
as you can see it's not remotely close to 50/50 in winrate on both sides most ppl skips that part of the game and the fact that the game is incentivize individual escapes over teamplay shows a huge game flaw that will always make surv in general the underdog outside of maybe the really small% of really exceptional swf and even then
you can play killer and go al the way down to 55% killrate you will still win more on average by a huge margin overtime i've had aseason where i was sitting at 54% killrate over 1000 games and was still wining more games in general then losing because on how draw work and it's not hard to acheive so im gonna disagree on the 60% killrate point you made

I think The Ghoul is kind of a design failure to be honest.
He’s one of those killers that’s doomed to be unfun for one side regardless of how they tweak the balance.
Either he’s allowed to get free injuries to make up for the fact that his power can’t directly down (much like Legion). And in doing so is very frustrating for survivors.
Or they drastically reduce his ability to get free injuries to make him funner to play against but in doing so he’s going to be frustrating to play since his power can’t down.
The only way to make him good for both sides would be to rework. But then they’re alienating the people who like him as he his.
So it’s a lose-lose-lose.
the funny thing i think if he wasn't a hit scan power it would naturally slow him down to the point that i think none of his issues would even be present in the first place

I keep checking the Community Hub an Steam and I note that every time check another several 100 have dropped off. Is there an issue with match making right now? I've never had an issue like this before.
my average wait time right now is around 20 to 40 mins on killer side one of my friend had to wait 15 mins queue on surv side for one game it might just be 2v8 puts the mm queue out of wack right now i would not worry to much about it you might have to just wait in queue if it's still the same tomorrow might wonna check with support if you're having issues of not queueing into game after waiting like 30 on surv side but i just think it a out of wack queue right now tbh

I played some matches after I got home from work today and hoo boy it has been a disaster. I’ve never in my entire DbD career experienced so many unbelievably terrible teammates. People getting downed no more than 5 seconds after chase begins, nobody working on gens, or sometimes just being AFK for the first couple of minutes. Just in my last match, I ran one of the killers for a good couple of minutes, figuring there would easily be a couple gens completed. After I finally got downed - NOTHING! What the hell were people doing?
Past 2v8s haven’t been even close to this bad on the survivor side. Is anyone else seeing this too? Maybe it’s just a big influx of brand new or very infrequent players at the very beginning of the event and they will fade away after the first day or two. I sure hope that’s the case, because this is 100x worse than normal 1v4 solo queue.i've ben only playing killer because im playing with a buddy but yeah i think you're right in general it's the first day of 2v8 and i've seen the most baby players in on surv side currently like they barely know how to play the game might be a influx of ether new players or a return of verry casual players lol and five night at Freddy is the cusps of release so it might explain the new players if it's the case wanting to know the game

clears throat~ things I’ve heard survivors say on why:
Killer is op
Map is too small
Bad teammates(big mistakes, or just not doing anything)
Too many anti-loop killers
Horrible gen spawn
Horrible pallet spawns
Tired of seeing ghoul
killer already tunneled someone out, no chanceKiller slugging just to slug(not tactful slugging that creates pressure)
They realize they’re absolutely boned due to xyz circumstance why finish a match that you know is going to end horribly anyways.
Pig and trapper op please nerf
Did I miss anything? Feel free to the list if I did. This is just what I’ve heard.
all of this tbh is the result of the game not evolving like outside of basement rituals like weaving spider and whatever the survivor side of gameplay has bearly had major changes that not already existing mechanics and on top new killer get more and more mechanic into there base kits it get to the point that i think ppl are just exhausted like compare new killers to old ones you see the point hell even killers to a point don't get new mechanics outside of new killer kits witch at least to a point is kinna of refreshing but doesn't bring anything new to the other party and some of the points that you've mentions are true too funny enough to some extents
the game feels more an more suffocating to play on the surv side and i play both sides tbh so i don't know i really feels like behavior need to innovate the game with new stuff that are actually new meaningful mechanics that both side can interact basegame wise

So, it would appear there is a new hack going around.
I just watched Slate's stream for a bit and he had games (both as killer and survivor) where soon after spawning in, the framerate would quickly drop to unplayable levels and crash the game, at which point he couldn't even use ALT+F4 anymore.
In order to prevent a full freeze you have no choice but to disconnect and eat a penalty. Two days ago I encountered this as well (timestamped). And I'm not even a content creator myself.
Can we get any word from BHVR about their efforts to combat these types of hacks? You're seriously going to launch the FNAF collab while stuff like this is possible? That's going to be one hell of a first impression, I can tell you that much.im not even surprised that this type of hack are hitting dead by daylight escape from tarkov has the exact same type of hacker that recently took over the game it lag you out till you completely freeze there one hacker in escape that was called gpu killer it would freeze your game and make you gpu go into overdrive from all the lag they where creating in the game seems like they hopped into dead by daylight not much you can do for now tbh old games has a lot of vulnerabilities they have to cover and this one hack targets a lot of old game it's lame as hell

Thats why you see less positive posts around here.
i called it in the first version of 2v8 that 2v8 would become the game mode for a majority of the dbd players 2v8 fixes 95% of the problem that 1v4 has on top of being is supper casual friendly lmfao most ppl didn't believe me here we are

It really hasn't helped matters. I still don't want basekit unbreakable, but forced timewasting is way up and my survivor experience has gotten considerably worse on average. About half of my survivor games end in killer slugging, and even if I had an okay match, I will leave it angry and feeling upset with the game if I had to wait 45 seconds on the ground with the killer humping me out of boredom as they wait for everyone else to die before they mori me, as opposed to that exact same match but the killer hooks me and I die immediately after I lose the game.
Either widen the net of when killers can use the finisher mori so that it encompasses more game over scenarios (ex everyone else is on second stage hook, or slugged and nobody has pickup perks) or just get rid of it, please.
they could add unbreakable as basekit if there only 2 survivors alive to balance with the fact that the killer can mori as a finisher it's counter balance to the whole 2v1 situation and adds a bit a counter pressure to not slug the last 2 survivors alive if played badly but is still rewarded as a killer if played right in 2v1 situation

2v8 was a lot of fun in previous iterations. It’s not a lost cause. BHVR ruined it by implementing bots even after most people told them it was a bad idea. Introducing Legion, one of the most boring and unfun killers to play against, was also a bad idea. Keep the new elements that were added for survivor, get rid of bots, get rid of Legion, provide some better incentive rewards for playing Survivor role and 2v8 would be great again.

It never changes, no matter what level you're at. These naysayers keep thinking you're new and just need to improve. Little do they know, it doesn't matter even if that's true, because you're living the same experience as a high level killer. Can't play anyone but Nurse/Blight or else they stand no chance. Most of the people saying killer is fine only look at those 2 killers. It makes no sense, what they say, otherwise.
You're right. The survivors don't even play well, and they just win. Meanwhile, you're sweating the whole time. The moment you chase 1 decent looper, it's over, because there's no-mindgame spots where they always have the advantage at, and waste a guaranteed amount of your time. Time that you can't afford. They're playing meme stuff like multiple exhaustion perks or Urban Evasion, but you've got 4 slowdown perks and it does nothing. I want to go into more detail, but I think most people on this thread have made up their minds. Killers just don't lose if they're good, apparently.
that's not even remotely true a good billy or huntress that are not in indoor map dominate high mmr singularity in high mmr completely destroy high mmr swf if you're good at him artist, plague are also high mmr killers that win really good when you know how to play them i could go on but in reality if you know what you're doing around halve of the killer can win massively in high mmr some are more map dependent the rest is more of hard grind minus some of the bottom ones that you won't win more on average

It WILL solve most of the problem simply because the things you describe take longer and are punishable. Killing yourself unhook is simple, almost instant, takes action only from you and not the killer, and it's not banable.
On the other hand, AFKing is already a reportable offense and you would have to wait for the killer to come get you in order to get to the next match, potentially taking LONGER than the DC Penalty you would get by DCing normally.
And running into the killer? If a survivor does that, anyone can report them for working with the killer and refusing to participate in normal gameplay. It would also require action from the killer's end in order to be completed, they could just ignore or slug the griefer instead.
So most people who give up would mostly just DC anyway. The ones who didn't would waste a lot of time and eventually get banned.
you could also pretend you're trying to "play" by playing badly and dying anyways it doesn't get ppl to stop getting out of the game it just adds a slight inconvenience overwatch did exactly that and ppl did the bare minimum and pretended to be bad at the game to get out quickly and it works because in the end of the day you can't proved if there a good player or a bad players and poor performance is not a ban able offence it doesn't fix the issues only displace it to other means witch you get even less of a way to know if they did it or not on purposes

Survivor mains want devs to balance around solo queue, and when killers get teammates they want them to balance around the killers being organized and in discord together?
So which is it, do we balance around solo queue average player? Or are we balancing around a well organized team playing with discord?
i mean 2 player is way easier than coordinating 4 or even 8 players i've played it enough to say that it wasn't hard at all lol

I thought Billy was too weak last time, but this tips him over to too strong, especially in this kind of game where he's basically always in a chase and there's almost no search time. Instadown with some of the best mobility in the game (did they add any indoor maps, or are they all still in his favor?) and loads of aura reading is just kind of insane. Between that and Blight, who's much easier to play than Nurse, I'm concerned that this round of 2v8 will be a lot sweatier on both sides, which will erode the fun factor it had last time.
he wasn't weak last time he was actually pretty strong just more team oriented i guest it was too much for ppl to handle the team part of billy ?

in the odds that you still crash there might be something conflicting with EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys the best way to test that is play a other game that uses easy anti cheat and see if your pc crash if it does you might have something conflicting in the system somewhere that i don't know if it doesn't and it's only dbd then it's a patch they did that put a conflict with your system somehow that involves easy anti cheat then there's nothing i can do

it's 100% easy anti cheat you need to remove it from your system flies and then get a fresh install if it dosen't fix it might wonna try to get support from them or see if dbd support can do something but i doubt it easy anti cheat flies should be in your program files x86
like so deleted them completely and then lunch the EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe as admin see if your program files x86 got a fresh batch if it did then lunch the game and see if it still blue screen that's all i can do for you tbh if it still crash then i'm in the dark as you are but you saied that easyanticheat_eos.sys is the cause of the crash well in easy anti cheat flies that cause the crash are in toes files look at this
so yes you need to delete it the entire folder and then execute EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe from the install batch file then see if you got a new batch files from you program filesx86 if it did the odds are you're not gonna crash anymore hoped it helped

Ok, so now there is another problem. When I want to open the EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe from the game folder it doesn't really open. It just quickly flashes on the screen, then closes itself I guess.
if it's running and you did every steps from above and the EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe executed and you open task manger and you see easyanticheat running in the process from the fresh install you should try and see if you still get a crash after that that's all i can say tbh

- yes, it is that tough to get absurd winstreaks (like the 2k example people love to throw around because big number scary.)
- Being good at the game is relative. Like I said, you should be playing opponents who are either on your level or better as your MMR goes up. They have to win a lot (in apparently impossible circumstances) to get high MMR in the first place, so they are likely going to be the players who adapt to hardships instead of complain about them.
- a 2k win streak existing means absolutely nothing about the overall performance of literally anyone else in the game than the person who gets the streak, and in order to get said streaks they need to play very carefully, and have a very strong ability to adapt to both advantageous and disadvantageous situations.
THAT SAID, it will always be easier for one person to coordinate with themselves vs 4 players with varying levels of coordination. They also often need to build specifically in ways to prevent counter strategies, watch for stream snipers, etc. Basically they need to line up as many advantages as possible, while preparing contingencies for anything that can go wrong. 99.9% of the player base are NOT getting 2k kill streaks, just like most survivors are NOT 4 man death squads. Do not focus on extreme examples and normalize them internally.
sure but that being Saied i've personally had many runs where i get like 50 plus winstreak with low tiers killers not even trying some of em are even vs a couple bullies squads i've play both sides and i have the same sentiment of what op is saying the game currently on killer is not hard in general(relative to ppl like you saied) it's to the point i barely run any slowdown anymore outside of doc
there are so many ways to play currently that make you win more in general than anytime before and survivor haven't change on how they play science then dawn of time(mostly speaking when all the broken stuff got removed like perma hook infinites ect ) on top of soloq being in shamble i do think dbd is in a really bad spot currently in general btw i have 90% of my surv p3 and about 60% of my killers p3 just to give some context so im not new and the way i've p3 them is i play them till they are p3 so i don't just funnel bp onto them and get the experience with them outside of nurse lmfao console nurse is a nightmare don't wonna to bother i do think something need to change funny enough tough i do think the way they implemented 2v8 fixed about 90% of the issues the game have with the class system outside of slugging

So basically you're likely exaggerating and using your experiences to try to disprove any that disagree with you. If you played that much the chances of you not encountering equally (or more) skilled survivors is near impossible. If that is honestly your experience, I'm sure most players would absolutely love to get your matches.
he's not tough it's not that hard to get a high winstreak as a killer when you're good at the game the fact that 2k plus winstreak exist is at itself the proof in the pudding when you're good at the game as a killer

You can pretty much double tap survivors if you know how to play her. You get a hit normally, start phasing and catch up immediately.
Plus, you can put survivors into nasty 50/50 situations.
yeah but currently his bat for transition back to his normal for is only a 1.2 sec before you can hit a surv it's far superior than spirit currently you don't need to worry about 50/50 with his bat form you'll always get a guaranty hit

If your entire game falls with one perk, you are the problem.
On the other hand I agree, that a lot of issues and bugs are not getting the attention they should and it feels like bhvr is rather making another Feng Min cosmetic instead of addressing cheaters.not too sure about that tough because let's be real the current amount of aura reading currently existing in the game is on the obscene level currently if you're not running distortion and you're chased you need to be obscenely good just because now mind games are a thing of the pass around long wall and t'l wall ect new distortion is ok but you need to be a top tier looper more so now than before funny enough old distortion was counter able but ppl could not stop running the same aura perk that get counter by old distortion even tough there a but ton of aura perk that counter old distortion and also ppl seem to have lost to ability to track crows in general because they are over reliant on aura perk i don't think it's good for the game to have almost permanent uptime on aura it removed the skill of tracking trough crow witch is really easy once you know how to do it

2v8 didn’t have as many ragequits because survivors can’t ragequit via 2v8 cages. This is why BHVR should remove survivors being able to ragequit via hooks.
If survivors want to ragequit, they should be required to actually DC, so they can get the penalty they deserve, and the other survivors can get a survivor bot replacement.
well there a solution for that remove the hook lmfao

This community has been traumatised to the point of believing that obvious glitches and basic game functions are "Techs" and I don't know if I am allowed to laugh
and the funny part is they call basic functions of the game like running and healing a "tech" this is disturbing tbh

@AmpersandUnderscore said:
People will claim this is due to "regression nerfs" or survivor buffs, but I'm reality it's a subgroup of killer players having a tantrum.
The last regression changes were 6 months ago. That's just an excuse and anyone using that to excessively slug survivors in matches is being disingenuous.
No, the only change that's happened to start this "trend" was the extra 10 seconds of hook timer they added in the recent patch. There were several posts of people melting down over this change, and some of them are slugging every game in protest.
Apparently 60-70% kill rates aren't enough for some people, and the "buff me, nerf them" subgroup can't seem to understand why "balance" in a PVP game doesn't just mean constant killer buffs and permanent survivor nerfs every single patch. Given that people review bombed the game, flamed on social media, and have been taking about slugging being the new "only way to play" I'm not exaggerating. Since people are just that petty and entitled apparently.
yeah it's funny because if you check killers that are in the low end at 55% killrate they still win more than survivors by about 8% winrate it's funny to watch because there so bad at the game they want free wins 24/7 to the point it's almost getting to the reverse situation of bdb when the game was new and killer actually could not do anything where getting closer and closer to that state really quick and its running the game really fast

@Akeeno said:
recently skilled chucky players found an actual tech that allows them to double scamper and get hits, but of course there is outcry about it ,.to get rid of it, fine then.
but then why is stuff like "heal tech" allowed? why is crouch "tech" allowed. they barely qualify to be considered techs but apparently they're fine cause it benefits survivors. id agree and also say they're fine, they're interesting plays, but why is it when its a killer tech, they just get outright removed?
we gotta have a double standard guys.
unless they changed it the "tech" that you're talking about btw is bugged as hell if you know what your doing you can stay in scamper infinitely and on top you can double reactivate scamper at any time yeah it need to be fixed
on top that you're talking about make no sense "heal tech" and "crouch tech" has nothing to do with bugs it's laterally the basic function of survivor gameplay ppl just call it "techs" for the lols they arent

I dont think thats a good idea.
For Survivors, that would basicly remove sabotage and flash saves.
For Killers, that would reduce the options for strategically placing survivors, such as a dead zone with no gens so you can harass someone of generators while forcing someone else to take a long walk.
It would reduce the skill ceiling for both sides.
flash saves are coming back in the new 2v8 so that's not a issue sabotage is useless for the most part because of hook density the hooking skill ceiling has ben removed a long time ago and is a useless mechanic that's holding the game back tbh

I have more success with Boons than I do with Hex totems. I incorporated Boon Shadowstep and it's been a blast.
Hex totems? Gets cleansed or booned before it had any effect in the game. Hex: Ruin is absolutelly useless. Hex: Two Can Play is a waste of a perk slot. Hex: Undying is whatever. Hex: Third Seal is useless. Hex: Huntress Lullaby is useless or very niche, and it tells that its active despite having 0 tokens. Hex: Blood Favor is predrop hell. Hex: Devour Hope gets cleansed before it does anything. Hex: Face the Darkness is bugged and it's still a niche perk. Hex: Haunted Ground is everyone hiding or predropping. Hex: Retribution niche. Hex: Plaything is decent and so is Hex: Pentimento when you combine it with other hex totems. noed is lol flip a coin. Thrill of the hunt is situational. Wretched fate is niche.
I love Crowd Control now. Where are the buffs for Hex totems?
hex ruined is not useless i've had my share of wins with a pentimento ,ruin, retribution , gearhead where i completely steamroll you need to right killer ruined give you a lot of pressure if you know how to play it right all hexes are in a good spot for the most part with the right set up with the right killer you really don't want them to become strong for everyone it's absolutely ok for them to be strong with only certain killer/set up it's more healthy than everyone is running the perks
and funny enough if hexes become obscene again/run all the time ppl will just run with maps items and then they will get pop hard and quick lmfao
