- Modifier: Chaos shuffle ... Among the various useless perks I have Scavenger.
- I had never used this perk actively (I don't like "gen perks"), I think I only used it for the Gabriel adept. Seeing this perk I activate to make it "work" just for fun... but then I discover that I have a strange debuff and the red bar in my "generator work". I think about some of the killer's perks and continue my game. At the end of the game, intrigued by this perk, I read the perk description and discover this
- "Recharging a Toolbox will reduce your Repair speed by -50 % for the next 40/35/30 seconds".
- I don't understand what the point of this perk is... give the toolbox to a teammate and do something else? why am I punished for activating my perk? Am I punished to avoid genrush? but if Devs want to discourage genrush....why make a perk for genrush? should I use the toolbox to sabotage?
- And as a final thought....if Build to last exists....why should I use Scavenger? Scavenger requires 5 perfect skill checks, so it's not even that easy to activate 🤣 This perk (for me) is a mystery
actually scavenger is obscene with hyperfocus with you get the 50% slow on gens repair speed it also reduce the toolbox charge draining toolbox increase the amount of skillchecks that you get by a good chuck with hyperfocus you can abuse it so hard that if you're really good at it you deleted gens out of the maps but its a high skill ceiling combo hitting the consecutive skillchecks

Unfornately the community has decided it's better to ruin games for other people than to attempt to play out any minor inconvenience. A problem that can only be solved by the devs removing the ability to let oneself die on hook.
that wont change anything tough ppl will just do the bare minimum not to get reported and won't play the game ether honestly its just a game issue witch more and more ppl are just not happy the way the game is turning out in general but are still willing to play it because the good match outweigh the bad matches
imo bdb needs to redo the base game mechanics because where getting into a breaking point that the old mechanics are showing it's flaws at the determent of the game in general

What exactly is the point of perks like Detective's Hunch and Counterforce if the new survivor just gets permanent and no drawbacks wallhacks on absolutely everything? Still Sight is absolutely busted and it makes zero sense from a design standpoint.
you already have permanent wall hack if you have a skele key with aura reading, build to last and streetwise you have for the most part almost permement aura reading on the killer lmfao

They nerfed most of the good gen slowdown without adding any basekit changes or nerfing survivor genrush perks and items.
that's not true you got the basekit that you're asking you just don't realize it when you kick the gen/or have a regression event you already regress a 5% basekit that the survs have to repair to stop regression regression perks needed adjustment after they added this effect you can't just gen tap anymore

Is the perk broken? No. Is it unhealthy for there to be perks that bypass foundational skills? Yes. Situational awareness is an incredibly important ability to posses; Windows of Opportunity both bypasses that and offers no incentive to ever learn it.
gonna have to disagree because in a swf the same result happens anyways they just call witch pallet was used witch is still up woo is a soloq perk and always will be a soloq perk in fact i really thing is should be basekit just like shadowborn is with the fov it would free up a slot for solo players and would make the game better just like killers can see gens and hooks aura

"Too many killers complain that the game is unfair but they don't work to
improve their game by watching tutorials or run the perks needed to

demise during a match."You could just as easily take this entire statement and replace "killers" with "survivors".
It's just human nature to be this way, not specifically one side.

You don't see Killers DCing all the time when Survivors do their objectives in the shortest time possible.
It's a very immature, childish attitude to give up at the smallest inconvenience. If you're anticipating that you're gonna lose quickly, what's the big deal? You'll be in a new match in no time at all if you just stick it out and actually try to win anyway. If you do end up losing, who cares? At least it's giving you and your teammates a chance by sticking with it and helping them try to progress their objective.
The Survivor meta is literally a perfect counter to all the things you said you don't like versing. It's actually not a great stance you've taken up. The weaker Killers, even with full slowdown still struggle to get a single kill against Survivors that glue to gens and don't make stupid decisions like throw themselves at a hook. The stronger Killers will still struggle against Survivors that are glued to gens too. Yeah they have more tools to be able to strategize better than the rest of the roster, but they still have to try to compete against insanely quick gens speed. If you play safe against them, it minimises the frequency they can access their slowdown perks (since they're hook related).
Seriously, the entitled behaviour of "I don't like this, I quit" has plagued the community of DBD for years now. The Devs have done nothing to discourage Survivors crying and getting out of their pram. So now it's got to this stage where people justify why they have a childish attitude with the "it's X Killer, so it's fine" or "these perks are boring". If Killers were entitled like that, no one would ever be able to play out a full match.
So, to you, and all bottom Survivors with childish attitudes, if you feel like you are gonna lose, just do your objective. Glue yourself to gens. Chances are you will win or at least give your teammates a win. Instead of quitting and making your team lose because you're a bottom.
i've seen plenty of killers dcing recently when the 2nd gen pop to the point i can't even get my pips up so this is verry untrue

These are just some… There are a lot more.
ouch you got your fair share, altough floating trapper trap making survivors jump when the try to dissarm is a funny one. if you even go on gideon meat plant you have my condolences lmfao. the giant vault tube you can get stuck on the far side of it when the vaults decide to get weird when fast vaulting

kek knight is bugged to he can teleport anyways in the map with a glitch I've reported it ben 3 plus months now still under review majorly game breaking btw Wesker also has a teleporting bug like to his power he can teleport back to his original position when he used his power under verry specific conditions and now nurse has a animation cancel that can make to go a weird lunge when blinking gaining more striking distance than she supposed to have im barely scathing the surface the game needs like a good 3 to 6 months with just focusing on fixing bugs because this aint it right now

The downside of calm spirit is massively overrated. Hexes are not common, you don't have to bring a boon if you are bringing calm spirit, and looting chests isn't that important when you can bring items with addons into trial.
it aint there a decent amount of ppl that runs hexes with penta knowing exactly this its till 2 perk that dosent even fully counter one perk

Good thing Deadlock, Pain Res, Nowhere To Hide, Pop, Grim Embrace, DMS, Surge and Corrupt Intervention are going nowhere. Because we like perk variety. This is not a good change. Killing perks does not help with a stale meta.
actually this version is good on killer that uses locker a lot like dredge huntress artist ect it became a more killer specific perk than a busted generic perk old uw you could take blight nurse or any killer that had high movement and made is absolutely absurd its not as bad as ppl say but its not crazy anymore ether its good on specific killers and that's a good thing

knight has ben broken for 7 month there a verry underground glitch that only a handful of players know not gonna say how to do it but umm he can teleport at will around the map i've reported that ######### he never got killed switch lmfao it's a major gamebreaking bug he still has it btw
wesker also has a teleporting bug but his is more restrictive anyways there why more bugs that most players don't even know because there's verry few players that knows them
the only reason i know them is because i got farmed by them and had a friend in custom lobby trying to recreate it and i found how to do a couple of em

rpd is a good map tough it's actually one the best maps to learn as anew player pallets rng is verry low no random tiles and the clutter is almost none existent

that's the neat thing you dont if you're a good player you're better be good hope to loop him for 5 gens and then hope that you dont die by the time there done even if they don't know how to touch the sweets gens

Pretty much exactly my experience with the game. I rarely see genuine tunneling... and was always confused to hear its a problem all the time and/or its the only things killers can do to win in high MMR or it happens most games.
I see it pretty rarely in my own games, maybe 1 in 10 I'd estimate, which is in line with Scotts observations, but I assumed it was more common in other regions or skill brackets... I can only think of 1 time in the last year where I got tunneled a lot one day to the point I put an anti tunnel build on (ofc it stopped after that because screw me right? 🤣).
I watch a lot of high MMR players games, and I almost never see genuine hard tunneling, usually tunneling is a result of survivor actions rather than killer actions...
So this video was pretty cathartic to watch... so does anyone else experience different? Or is this in line with what you see?
but he didnt disproved that it's overbrowned in his on stats he proved that in 1 in 4 games hard tunneling happens on average witch is a insane amount witch is a problema huge one at that

This narrative of the devs favouring one side is complete nonsense and in no way true.
wow that's nice after a full year of killers buff and constant survivors nerf plus bad perks so nice survivors got 2 freebee wooptydo i play both sides btw and i don't enjoy the powercreeped killers perks/reworks currently it's boring to play as and against

Now that Adrenaline is being gutted I've recently been seeing lots of killer mains on Reddit complaining about WoT. It's also the most used perk in the game we know that the devs have a history of nerfing perks based on their usage rate. They could nerf it in a way to make it disabled when injured.
honestly they should just make woo a basekit thing just like shadow born is for killers if ppl don't what to run it disable it in options

If the game feels unplayable with out then you should really work on learning tiles and pathing. Also situational awareness helps with knowing which pallets remain and which have been used.
there the issue is there too many maps with to much tiles rng if maps where more like rpd where the tiles are not different and pallets rng was small it would not be a issue there maps where there 6 different variants of jungles jims placements like you can't make this up and that's not even considering the pallets at this point woo is as needed for most ppl as killers seeing gens auras and yes i can play out it but heavy rng in some map makes it too desirable to not to run it even as a veteran of the game

The solution is survivors do gens while someone is being chased. Someone being tunneled out at 5 gens is the fault of the survivors, because it's already possible for 2-3 gens to be completed by the end of the first chase.

This is becoming ridiculous now every other match is a survivor either DCing AFKing or self sacrificing I am going out of my way to 3 hook no 3 gen no camp no tunneling and no slug I literally ignore the injured person running out in the open to go for the person running to a strong tile (you should never do this) I'm even playing with a 4 perk oblivious meme build and still survivors are giving up. Why? Because i'm playing Knight?
Some Survivors need to understand this isn't a PVE game, this isn't a fighting game against the AI where YOU get to pick what opponents you want to fight you can't just give up because the killer is playing someone you don't like to play against and me playing Knight is redundant anyways because some survivors will just use your killer as a smokescreen as to why they actually DC'd or self sacrificed (they got found first or they just aren't good enough to loop) you can't play any killers without at least one survivor finding it unfun and just ruining the match
I get that Solo Queue can be painful and I'm trying to give you a fair and fun experience but I can't take people who complain about Soloq being awful then self sacrifice screwing over 3 of their teammates because "Ugh it's MY 4th Ghostface of the day everything revolves around me I don't wanna play" seriously.
To all those survivors who get left behind by their teammates I will always give you hatch/exit gate you deserve it for playing with such awful teammates.
TLDR: If at any point of the game you get to the point where you're going "ugh X killer? I'm not playing this" then just close the game and go play something else.
that in the end of the day my friend is a game issue and it's only gonna get worst the games are extremely volatile and as long they don't address the core issues in the game ppl will more and more kill themself on hook the fact they're still playing mean they still care about the game but are not happy with the state in general the game need to slow down a lot soo ppl can chill and learn and that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon the lights out event showed a lot of the game core issues and as long as a bare minimum aren't fix you ain't gonna get ppl not killing themself on hook fixed

Today I got to 34 seconds lol
about a month ago i faced her 7 times in a row won 4 of em and i despised her with a passion in some map she can denies like almost halve of the map in term of looping 2 of my 4 games that i won vs her i looped her as greedily as possible because anything less she gets way to much control i proceed to loop her around for a good 4 min she give up on me goes for weak links and tunnels them to oblivion she so badly designed i can't blame ppl killing themself on hook when they face her

If you really want to mention tunneling, I'll mention an interesting story I experienced the other day.
I had a chance to watch two Youtube videos on the same day. One is a live 1on1 tournament in Japan, and the other is a video of Japanese people's impressions of playing DBD on Western servers.
First of all, I would like to introduce how do Western players play DBD, unlike Japanese players?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE3G_4kKxoQ
Since you probably don't understand Japanese, I'll give you a little explanation. Compared to Asians, Westerners play what they think is fun and are more proactive about light rescue and treatment. On the other hand, T-bags and Light clicks are used as greetings, and suicides and amputations are overwhelmingly common.
The reason is that they do it because they don't like it when they can't do what they want to do, or when they are forced to go into a tunnel or camp. However, it is not limited to this, and many people commit suicide or commit DC simply because they are hanged for the first time. Many people run away from situations they don't like, not just tunnels. It's true that he has a fun playstyle, but I feel like he's selfish and doesn't consider the inconvenience to those around them.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFj4yx3hd-I
2nd is the live archive of the Japanese tournament.
This is a competition where both Survivors and Killers compete in a chase to determine who is superior and who is inferior on equal terms. Map luck is involved, but it's fair anyway.
All players are skilled at both Survivor and Killer, and some are better at one or the other. The audience is mostly survivors, but they're also people who understand the game.
I'll leave direct proof to another tournament, but they are serious about the game, and they enjoy it. And not one, not one, complains about the tunnels and camps. Do you think it's a lie? But it's true. There may be exceptions, but if you chant hate, he will be reprimanded. Both the viewers and the players. Because they understands the game and sees the perspective of both the killer and the survivor.
Of course, I am aware that the differences between the West and Asia are due to differences in playing styles and cultures. However, there are some cultures where tunnels and camps are accepted as tactics. No one would ridicule killers who do that as bad killers. No one would ridicule him as the struggle of a bad killer. It is a ritual performed only among novice survivors.
The last thing I would like to mention is that many Japanese people, upon seeing Western games where they neglect generation completion in order to rescue Light, think, ``It's obvious that Survivors can't beat Killer in this way. Without base kits, they can't play."
This includes differences in interpretation, so I won't go into much detail. However, Japanese people do not give up on winning until the end, so they do not commit suicide and experience many situations where they need to recover through self-care botany. And since both tunnels and camps can be conquered, there's no need to give up because of that.
In the West, people give up in tunnels or camps and commit DC or suicide, so there are few chances to recover, and Self-Care Botany is unpopular and is interpreted as a perk for beginners. This is why the evaluation of self-care is 180 degrees different. This is a big discovery for me.
this tough is a cultural thing what you're talking about has the same issue with a game called yu-gi-oh the west outside of it's hardcore fanbase don't like the state of the game in mordern yu-gi-oh a turn can take no jokes around 5 to 10 mins a turn the average turn per game is around 4 turns where you have to play around a ton of effects and negates ppl that are involve into yu-gi-oh are all like the game is fine it's a skill issue ect but in reality the game is suffering konami is losing player year over year including revenue where it's to the point that there only make small margin in profit and the big wigs at konami had to acknowledge that it's a problem they can't keep new player because of the issue and only the hardcore is left and there still bleeding players
in Japan if you complain about the state of the game or quit because a turn can take a long time knowing you're losing its heavily frowned upon while in the west it's completely different
this right there should be a good indicator about dbd in general that they should do something about bad mechanic because you'll never get that reaction in Japan because of there culture

Firstly, not sure if there was a pasting problem, but there are 2 greyed out lines at the bottom of the post. Was there something you wanted to put in but otherwise didn't happen?
Obviously, I won't be arguing your own personal experience. I can only comment from mine that it's not the same as yours. Perhaps ot's down to time of play/ host server/ MMR/ luck or whatever. From my experience tunnelling is not the majority, but it would be foolish of me to say it doesn't happen. However, I do feel some "perceived" views of tunnelling people cited in game isn't actually tunnelling, but just a viewpoint they had. The difference between what someone sees and believes versus what actually happens won't be aligned.
By volatility, do you mean the unpredictability? Maybe I misinterpret, but by that definition the idea of tunnelling being predictable and common defies that meaning. Please correct me if I'm wrong there. If anything, I'd say you could argue against resilience - not with volatility - but predictability, in which case you can argue the same, predictable builds and tactics would bore others and make people leave the game. That's a harder argument against the case of resilience.
Regardless, I'd still say resilience is a large problem - perhaps larger. Survivors tend to lose often by their team mates giving up in one way or another, whether by dc, throwing, bad plays or whatnot. In the case of bad play, that's just how games go. Everyone makes bad plays, so no huge issue other than practising or a better understanding of the HUD. I do think the training intro sections needs to be more indepth though.
If people keep giving up though, it affects more than just them. If those players were more resilient, it won't just be them that benefits and learns, but so too their team mates.
i had to rewrite a wall of text to answers you but its waiting review so i cant help it

If those players were more resilient, it won't just be them that benefits and learns, but so too their team mates.
don't mind the grey text boxes i tried to pasted and correct a line and they would not go away new to forum the delete thing was not there
when you say
"However, I do feel some "perceived" views of tunnelling people cited in game isn't actually tunnelling, but just a viewpoint they had. The difference between what someone sees and believes versus what actually happens won't be aligned."
i don't fully disagree there situations when for example some one just got unhook and body block the killer at a doorway with endurance gets hit and then get chased complain they get tunnel some thing as some one that just got unhook and does a gen beside the hooked spot still injured yeah you're gonna get chased so when you say "perceived" that they get tunnel i don't fully disagree there a but tough ill explain what i mean by volatility
what i mean by volatility is this its a gameplay loop that exclude killer/survivors powers/perk that gives expansional explosive reward but is unstable when it fails so for example if you're a survivor and you get hook and tunnel you better be a god at looping/knowing map rng or you're out of luck witch lead to the mindset of i might as well dc/killmyself on hook witch you need to already have experience to play around it and be really good even then it's not that simple and on killer side if you do that tunneling you'll get explosive results skipping the learning curve like knowing how to setup your maps to make it so you have the edge when you're getting in the ladder stage of the game and how to engage how to force pallet witch make it easier for you later witch part of the maps is good for you witch part ain't what there doing ect... when they tunnel they get to skip the entire learning they climb quick and then it leads to when they are facing more competent ppl that's harder to do that against witch leads to the mindset of i might as giveup/dc survivor too strong if they had the right fundamentals oh how to engage the survivors tunneling is still crazy strong i'm oversimplifying here but you get the point this is why i want tunneling out and want a extra 20 sec to gens maybe 20 is too much im not sure but it leads at least ppl on both side learning the game properly and in turned will make more ppl happy of the state of the game at least the ones who wants to learn the proper's habit's because right now this entire learning curved is being skipped with tunneling
i hope this helped i've tried my best to explain i had a previous wall of text that i had accidently deleted had to rewrite this lol
