  • I had this in 4 out of 5 games after the latest update, left it a few hours and haven't had it since, I just assumed it had been fixed

  • what are you playing on? I got this quite a bit on the PS4 (haven't had it since I got PS5) but I described it as the movement being jagged when I was trying to explain it to my mate, it kind of judders along slower that what it should and its more difficult.

Sounds like you've got the exact same thing, if so, it isn't anything new, sounds like its a performance issue, what are you playing on?

  • if it is easier that is great, I'm a console player and find them absolutely impossible

  • its always nice to pip up but each time I move up a grade I always spend a couple of games just playing around with random builds

  • I had Autohaven Wreckers three times on the trot a few nights ago and that was followed with Backwater Swamp, at that point I was bored of playing in the same dank dark maps so I put a Eyrie of Crows offering on, not because it is survivor sided or because I wanted an easy game but because it is the most different visually from the ones I've been playing.

Also, when I play killer its always good to have a few Lery's offerings available for when I want to be a Jumpscare Myers.

Someone suggested earlier that offerings to prevent maps could be an idea, I can't see how that would work, you would end up with some maps that are played less than the Twins

Welcome to High MMR where somehow people instead of being respectful and with brain they are the opposite

i really recommend just lowering your mmr its just pretty bad it does feel good when u punish the HELL out of them but most of the time its not worth it

and quick tip if someone keeps teabagging, forget the respect, MAKES THEM SUFFER, and if the whole team does it more than once....well you know what to do you (and general rule of life if u see a lobby with no items just put franklin's or lightborn on )

also watch someone tell you how do you know your mmr is high or mmr doesn't exist

I have always wondered how people know their MMR is high though, I'm not disputing that OP is high MMR because those are behaviours that I rarely see and I'm an average solo Q player so I don't expect to be in the higher echelons of the game.

Hell, as killer I'd be right at the bottom of the pile and I'm still battered whenever I play lol.

But, how many people claim to be or believe that they are in a high MMR when in reality they are bang in the middle and just not as good as they think they are, or is there a way to tell?

  • cheers peeps

I've just had a few games with my pal, played 4 lost 4, 3 games against Wraith, 1 against Demopup

I went with Lithe, Kindred, COH and Diversion.

Balance feels kind of weird because the games felt like they were taking longer than they did before the patch but also felt like they were more hopeless, like before a good killer could just kill the game within 4 minutes, now it feels like it is almost hopeless but just takes longer to die.

That said they were enjoyable games, it just felt like they were unwinnable almost from the start.

  • I absolutely loved Until Dawn so I was buzzing about The Quarry, that is, until I saw the price of it, no way I can justify spending that kind of money on a game with limited re-playability.

Like everyone else has said, I'll wait for the price to come down

  • Bought it on the day of release, played it most nights with my pal, I'm a huge Evil Dead fan, he's never seen or heard of it before, I'm constantly explaining things to him (the mini ashes in the crate, Cheryl in the cellar and the significance of possessing a tree, things like that)

One thing that I'll say is that the outcome of the match very much depends on the teammates, if you get just one spud it can make for an extremely difficult game (why oh why does everyone jump in a car 10 seconds into a match???)

I've only had 2 games of DBD since ED came out and to be honest I was bored stiff, I was literally playing DBD with my mate every single night purely because there was nothing else, I will go back to DBD but I'm loving having something else to scratch that Asym itch at the moment.

  • I haven't read all the comments but yeah, I'm waiting for a new and better game, I can't wait for Evil Dead, I'm a huge fan of the franchise, I'm hoping its better than DBD because...well, why wouldn't I, if its better than DBD then it'll be worth every penny.

I was talking to my pal about it just today and I said that it'll just be nice to have another option, when I was playing DBD the other night with him I had 4 or 5 miserable games on the trot and didn't enjoy a single one of them, it would have been perfect if we could have said "sod this, lets have an hour or two on Evil Dead instead"

At the moment because DBD has the monopoly on A-symmetrical games it means we don't have any choice but to play it, I enjoy the game but man I've sunk so many hours into it that it has gotten to the point where we play it purely because there is nothing else.

When Evil Dead does come out, I won't be turning my back on DBD at all but I also (hopefully) won't be hammering it like I do now

  • I try to message most PS4 killers that I come across, unless they were hard camping/tunnelling that is.

It doesn't matter if I escape or die or if the killer gets 0k or 4k I'll always drop them a message and 9 times out of 10 it seems to be much appreciated, I've had some good conversations through it, I think that playing killer is a thankless task so even if you get a 0k and have a really tough game its nice just to get something a little more than GG EZ.

As for messages received I've had a few not many considering the amount of time I've sunk into the game and most of the ones I do get are from other survivors who can't handle the fact that they lost, I had one just the other day when someone called me a "sad toxic idiot" after a few messages I found out that I was a "Sad toxic idiot" because I saved a Claudette who was on second hook while a David was half way recovered while slugged....not too sure how that makes me toxic lol

  • happened to me tonight as well, after 2 or 3 minutes it went super bright and stayed like it for the rest of the game

  • I've just done this challenge, they show up randomly on the map, you will hear them when you are in the vicinity before you see them, I think that all players in the game can see them as well so you need to be lucky.

At EGC they will be visible for a few seconds but they are hidden around the map for the entire game, I found 2 in one match earlier, you just need to listen for them rather than look for them.

    Hope that helps.

  • I main survivor, I always make sure I have BT and Kindred on, I tend to switch between the other perks and just try things out, I've been using the pebble perk just lately (diversion or deception or something like that) and its been great fun

  • The one on the 11th was absolutely shocking for me

  • I'm more tired of the constant whining and moaning on the forums than I am the actual game.

Why dont the devs just nerf every god damn thing in the game and have 4 megs with no perks play against Trapper with no perks on one map which has no redeeming features and is just a grey square so no one can complain that its too light or too dark.

  • I don't really play anything else at the moment, I'll have a few games of FIFA on a Friday night but other than that, nothing, I have only played DBD two or three times in the last few weeks and that is only when my pal is online as well, otherwise I just can't be bothered.

I'm basically counting down the days for The Evil Dead to be released, that and I want a release date for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre

  • I like it when you get survivors who like to communicate with you.

The other day I found a fellow Feng by a barrel fire so went over and joined them and we warmed our hands over the fire for a while, then we got on a gen and she missed her skill check and I stopped and pointed at her, she came off the gen and crouched in front of me and wouldn't move until I spanked her.

We pretty much ran around together the whole game, we both ended up getting killed but it was good fun having a random pal in the game.

  • I'm going to say 6 or 7, for a while I was playing this for hours every night, game after game and I was loving it, my interest seems to have fallen off a cliff in the last few weeks though.

I still enjoy the game but I just feel like it has ran its course, I have hit Iri 1 numerous times, I've unlocked pretty much every perk on the survivor side and have one character who is P3 and has all the perks in purple, the challenges were fun and kept me interested while I was grinding out BP's but now that I have the majority of perks and a character who can play any build I want it kind of feels like...well...what's left to grind for?

I don't play too much killer these days, I've got a fair few of them up to level 50 and again I've got all the perks I want on all the characters that I want them on, playing killer just stresses me out though, half the time I end up against a team who is far too good for me so I just end up memeing the game to avoid being humiliated.

At the moment I'm probably having 1 or 2 games every other night unless my pal is online then we will have an hour or two, sad to say that I don't think the new killer (or any other new characters that are introduced) will change my feelings too much at the moment, its basically the same mechanic with a few tweaks here and there.

Again, I don't blame DBD for anything, it happens with pretty much all games, hell, I loved Tomb Raider when I was a kid and its still one of my favourite games of all time but I don't play it every night 20 odd years later, DBD will likely fall into that category soon.

One thing that it has done though is introduced me to the world of asymmetrical horror games and now I just want something that is different, hence why I absolutely can not wait for the Evil Dead and Texas Chainsaw games.

  • I've just had 5 games as survivor, first one was a Myers, next 4 were Sadako

they played a lot before SBMM now they play 3/4 Hours a week but they never wanted to learn how to run a killer.

So the devs need to do something because the majority of people in your SWF don't want to learn to play the game properly?

I get your argument from a match making point of view but at the same time you can't then say that they are just not trying to improve.

Also what happens if you all start going against baby killers and you are just constantly running rings round the killer? That's hardly fair either is it

  • I'm a Piggy, Legion or Clown

I don't mind playing against Pig at all

I hate playing against Legion, a good player will always be difficult

I feel like disconnecting when I come up against Clown, them bottles are so annoying as a survivor, as killer they are great fun

  • its starting to bother me now lol, I must have played 10 matches with no sign of it so far, I didn't know if there was an area where it was more likely to spawn or something like that, whether it was more likely to spawn near the shack or basement, sounds like its completely random though and its just purposely avoiding me

  • lol I made that mistake the first time, I played it for hours as killer and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't show, I wish it was that simple this time

  • Rock on my dude

sick and tired of hearing what 50% of the forum is complaining about so start complaining about what the other 50% complain about.

  • I'll answer for the Nemesis last week who was standing right next to me as soon as the game started and smashed me within about 3 seconds

  • I don't take the game too seriously at all, yeah I try to escape when I'm playing survivor but I'll happily sacrifice myself to get a save or I'll sometimes just mess about during a game (yeah I'm one of them people who pats the stuffed dog on RPD or strokes the horse of Father Campbell's Chapel)

It isn't fun though when every now and again I'll have a night where I'm hoofed out within the first minute in every game I play, its weird, its never like its one game every now and again, sometimes it happens every time I play for an entire night, does anyone else get this? but yeah, when this happens I do become a bit of a try hard just so I can have a good game to try and change my luck.

As killer I rarely take it too seriously because it really is one of them things where anything at all can happen so I just go along with it.

  • I wouldn't mind that actually, I main survivor these days but I'd happily go for a random chance of playing killer

It would only be a 1 in 5 chance that you'd get killer though so I can't imagine that killer mains would use it that often.

  • great thread, I would say C but we all know that Meg Heads are sprint burst merchants so she would be on her toes heading to the building quick time

  • That sounds ok but wouldn't it open the door to allow people to continuously trade in BP to go to the same map over and over again? at the moment you can only choose to be sent to a map for as many offerings you had for it, wouldn't what you are saying basically mean that if you can afford it you can choose it?

  • I run Franklin's quite often, for one it helps get rid of the old clicky clicky problem, and for two, it makes life in general harder for the survivor which is kind of my job as a killer.

If Franklin's is seriously being considered as toxic then they should just add an option for the killer to jump on a gen and escape with the survivors.

  • I don't get how you can harass someone with a mask.

If people are using creative names such as the one mentioned in the previous post I still don't get how they are targeting individuals, how do these people know who they are targeting and how do they decide who the white or black survivors are...or are they only tunneling/face camping Claudettes? I get face camped plenty but I don't play as Claudette, I genuinely don't get it.

  • Backback Bunny Feng

  • How many mid-chapter changes do we usually get, are there usually multiple buffs and nerfs or is thins just like a huge wish list where only 2 or maybe 3 changes will be implemented?

  • When me and my pal were playing on the cornfields against a Nemesis who's left him slugged, I go over to heal him only to have Clive (that's my name for the male Zombie) come ambling towards me, ended up having to get a few seconds of healing before looping the zombie loop, heal, loop, heal, loop heal.

There were other ways that I could have done it definitely, and it would have been a lot faster but that way was just comical.

  • I don't have a problem with the match making, I've been keeping a record of my games and it is currently at 52 escapes and 48 deaths as survivor so it is pretty balanced in that respect, last night I was playing with a pal and we got absolutely annihilated 5 games on the bounce, then we had a couple that we managed to escape.

As survivor its a little more difficult and I struggle against players that are way better than me but at the same time I come up against teams that I can just destroy.

  • Ha, I'm that ONE person you are complaining about.

I'm usually getting a drink or playing my guitar and completely forget to hit ready, my bad, I'm sorry

  • I'd go Clown, he's a lot easier than Spirit and I tend to enjoy my matches with him, I probably get more kills with him than anyone else.

  • Oh man, I was running for the bus the other day and dead harded into a ######### wall

  • I'm currently learning Nurse on console and yeah, she is really strong, even though I'm a baby Nurse the survivors always respect me, outside of that (and I'm sure most people will disagree) but I find Clown to be the strongest, especially with his strongest add-ons

  • As a killer, I'll do what needs to be done to complete the challenge, no matter what I do as a killer survivors can always counter it to get themselves the win.

As a survivor I tend to just play my natural game and it'll get done eventually, the only time that I'll go all out for a challenge is when I have just levelled up (is that the right word? I've had a drink) and I can't de-pip, then I might be a wee bit more selfish, I still won't go out to the point where I kill the rest of my team to complete it though, I play solo Q as survivor most of the time and I feel bad if I don't at least contribute in some way but I'll definitely have the challenge in mind....strange thing is that these are the games where I usually pip up first try.

  • I always thought that once the game has started it'll only cancel if the Killer DC's, didn't realise it did it early game for survivors as well

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

It would make the gameplay really bad.

BIll is the only one who can have BT? Cool, the guy who just unhooked was not a Bill, so the Survivor cannot have BT, I will tunnel.

Only Laurie can have DS? Yep, all non-Lauries are tunneled out of the game.

Some players even purchased many Cosmetics for their Mains and others only have all Perks on one Survivor (since they are Skins). What should they do if they main a Character with bad Perks?

Yeah, I did say that it wouldn't happen, I know it would be impossible to implement it now, I just thought it might vary the playstyle a little, you know, like each survivor has a specific strength to suit a specific role in the game, if someone needs unhooking then Bill goes for it while David is in the chase utilizing DH etc

You are right about the Killer having too much info by also knowing their strengths as well.

Plus it would render some characters pretty much obsolete if their base perks weren't very strong.

I still think that something like this could have worked early on in the games release though.

  • But then at the same time it would stop players from running meta builds no more DS, Iron Will, BT & DH all together.

Would it not balance the games and the teamplay out at all?

Sure when you get to the number you want make a new thread I'd love to see it. I'm currently on EU with crossplay off

    image.png

    Total game - 74 - Total escapes 36 - Total deaths 38

That's probably not the clearest but I thought I'd just put up what I have got at the moment

  • @Marigoria said:

    Which perks did you use?

I'd love to see someone from Europe do some stats like these.

I'm England, I've started logging mine, I'm currently 77games in, I can stick the results up on here if you wanna take a look, I was going to wait until I'd got a few hundred games on it though

  • At first I really didn't like it but I've changed my mind now, as a survivor or killer I always feel like I've got a good shot...unless I'm playing poor old trapper, they really weren't thinking of him when they made this one.

I haven't played with Ghostface or Myers but I can imagine that it would be just as tough with them as well

  • Windows of opportunity - it'll give you a massive boost in the chase...I tend to do well in a chase 50% of the time, with Windows it increases dramatically

Overcome - When you do cop a slap off the Killer you get a massive speed boost which will help you to get away

Vigil - once you have got away from the killer your exhaustion will recover a lot faster

Self care - once you have escaped do a bit of self care and you are ready to head right back into battle with Windows and Overcome ready to go again.

I've not used that build but it sounds like it'd be pretty decent to me.
