Once, with alot of practise and perseverance, I was an efficient and accurate huntress player.
Scoring hatchet hits from close mid and even far. Survivors jukes at close range would be very easy to hatchet. Loops would be predicted well and hit them at pallets and window vaults.
Once a huntress main who wouldnt miss many hatchets, possibly every 2 hatchets maybe 3.
However, whenever I play a killer for too long, the skills dry out, the playstyle I once scored with is countered easily.
I once missed 15 hatchets in a single row before a hit. I'd miss vault shots, get predicted at loops. Miss over loop shots. Struggle with jukes at close range. And most importantly my accuracy, hitting walls, rocks and other obstacles.
You may say, 'keep practising', 'takes a little more practise' 'let them juke into the hatchet'.... I've tried it all, its not like I havnt put all my time and effort into her before. I've just lost her touch guys, it happens to the best of us.
I have yet to get a single kill with her in the last few days....i think it's time for a break...
I hope to play you again some other time ❤️
P.S this post is just to remind myself of the struggles with huntress and that she will always be one of my favourite killers. If you have any words of encouragement, then try me...
I recently went back and was playing around with my P3 huntress which I'm only mentioning P3 to let you know I put alot of time in her before. I notice I have to play her different now. I seem to have to aim a bit higher on most maps because any random obstacle like a rock, box, barrel or pair of jordans on the ground my hatchets hit on release. Was very frustrating first two games when I got EZ from some trashcans on deathhook when my hatchet kept going no where. The nerve.

it means you need to actively impede gen repairs instead of just going for hooks. a way you could do this is try to lead a chase into another gen thats being worked on so when you down a survivor you can kick the gen before picking them up. you can also run perks like "pop goes the weasel" and "Surge"
Look as much as I think your post is lets say you know what nevermind. I actually agree with you though it's why I run tinkerer or discordance which ever I have on the killer I'm using because it's VERY EASY to get caught up in a chase and forget how much time has passed and these two perks are a great way for killers like myself to use as a sort of alarm clock lets say and have that (OH #########) been chasing to long or multiple survivors are on a gen time to interrupt/apply pressure elsewhere. Also I never kick gens because I end up getting the down then can't PGTW the damn thing.

Tome 1 was the bane of my existence. I either had 4 gens with Dark Sense in 1 trial, which wasn't happening playing solo, or grab 2 survivors as killer, which as we all know, tends not to work at the best of times. It took me 5 months after Tome 1 ended just to even try do the grab one to unlock the charm in the end.
I didn't start playing until tome 2 part 4 was released. So I had alot of challenges for survivor that I could go back to and earn extra BP. Just did the DK No mither challenge yesterday from tome 2, and the 2 claudette escapes from tome 1 which I was really happy with not only was it 85k but my claudette was P1 level 5 and I did it in 2 games solo with yellow Botany and yellow empathy.

@Mikeasaurus said:
Cleansing Totems isn't too bad of a challenge for me since I play solo and always hunt them out for my Inner Strength so I'm usually knocking at least 3-4 per match. The Billy challenge is one I'll never complete mainly because I'm that moron that revs too soon or smacks into a wall trying to chainsaw. I only managed an earlier challenge of hit X survivors in a single match (I think it was in a previous tome?) thanks to the Speed Limiter to show I had no intention of winning and they happily let me keep using the chainsaw. 3 Gens in a single trial solo is a nightmare. I've still got the 4 gens in a trial with Dark Sense from Tome 1 incomplete because of this exact reason. Solo. There is no way to know if Kate 50 meters away is about to pop a gen or if I have time to finish one as the killer is about to go stabby hands at me. It feels like a lot of the challenges, at least survivor ones, are based around knowing what teammates are doing, and since Solo are extremely limited to basic perk info, you're at a loss most of the time unless you follow them around. I don't mind the single trial challenges, but when the numbers are that high, it feels like a losing battle constantly becaue you're either screwing over teammates trying to get it done, or you're not getting it done at all.
LMAO I still got that Dark sense one too. I thought for sure it just meant equip the perk and have 4 gens completed in the trial ya know before you die. Once I figured out they want you physically on all four of the gens I was like **** that. Never tried again.

@lagosta said:
Country Livin' can be done easily if you go friendly in a match. Survivors tend to be cooperative for challenges.
3 Gens is kinda interesting. You don't need to do the gens, just finish them. I used bond + prove thyself + leader to stick to 1 person in the beginning of the match and finish fast. After that I tracked other survivors working on gens and just finished with them.
Cleanse 20 totems took 5-6 matches using detective's hunch I think. Lots of people looking for totems due to Ruin+Undying.
Worst for me were hook the obsession x times/sacrifice x survivors as I am not a killer main.
Agreed got 2 chainsaws first try just walked up smacked couple of gens with my hammer till I got some pets earn there trust and waited for them to point to hook and chainsawed them both. Quick and easy. My beef is the stun 4 times with pallet. You got to be one trashcan killer to get stunned 4 times by one survivor in one match. It's much better when it's just stun killer X amount of times because then you have DS, Head on, and pallets at your disposal. The obsession one sucks too only because of the time it takes but I recently killed 2 people with rancor in one game and I did not not know that could be done so next time maybe I can do it quicker.

Hello, all! It's-a me, Dario.
Recently, I was playing my Blight, and I noticed something odd...
Out of nowhere, Thrill of the Hunt went kaboom, and I was suddenly down a Totem.
Keep in mind, it's supposed to alert me to its cleansing when someone touches it.
However, the actual effect of Thrill of the Hunt never kicked in. It just exploded, and suddenly I lost all pressure because Devour Hope went down seconds later and I had no tokens from Thrill to stop it, nor a noise notification to warn me of my build's impending doom.
Has anyone else experienced this issue, or am I just deaf?
Edit: Spelling
Reason I stopped using it.

In its current state, we have basically two weeks where the poor behavior and toxic play goes through the roof - the week before rank reset as people try and get themselves up into the next rank before reset, and the week right after rank reset, when everyone's trying to get their old rank back. After that, while there are always players who are toxic no matter what, in general, things tend to calm down somewhat.
With the new change putting everyone back to 20 every month, the end result, I fear, is going to be more people behaving poorly in games for longer as they want to get back to up X rank each and every month.
I personally am excited for it. I do agree with you but right now rank means nothing soon at least you can earn something to help with the grind of the game. The game should become more competitive now.

Tinkerer is a really good perk, even if you can't get to the gen in time as a slower killer, it still gives a lot of information. And yeah, Ruin+Undying is awful to deal with if you can't find all the totem locations. I wasn't a fan of the fact that it is getting nerfed, but I do think it is too powerful against less experienced players so I support the nerf for that reason.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1866031#Comment_1866031
Bruh
Did I say something false? Ruin/Undying will be nerfed next patch so that problem will be solved. Freddy will be nerfed soon as been said. Nothing wrong with tinkerer or discordance on there own. thano and corrupt my own opinion. Surge and other have to many stipulations and only usable on specific killers. Been seeing alot of tinkerer post and devs seem to flock to certain things that I wont elaborate on.
-
@Liqhtninq said:
Ruin Undying Tinkerer even worse. Would rather be up against an iri head huntress. Any tips?
Don't worry after next patch it will be easier for you. Soon freedy will be nerfed to dirt. There aren't alot of killers left but there are some of us that use the basics ( tinkerer/discordance) to apply pressure and pop as are only slowdown. I'm not a fan of thano or corrupt and everything else either has too many stipulations or has been cried about and nerfed to dirt. lets not add tinkerer to that list or your que times will be even longer please. Your post should say Ruin/undying/tinker on freddy not just tinkerer.
-
As I said in another post. Gives a reason to play competitive. By any means at our disposal you know before there nerfed.
-
This game is about to get ugly. I don't play competive I play for BP. So rank me **** to me RN. I let some1 get hatch every game if someone dc's I let survivors farm since they don't have a chance even though they never do the same if I'm playing horrible. However now that soon there will be rank rewards I will be competitive. Actually have a reason to care about ranking up and winning. i am guessing most will do the same. So more perks you don't like to see, tunneling, slugging, camping, whatever it takes. Survivor rulebook will no longer exist for me at least. Everytime I start to like a perk it gets changes/nerfed, gen speeds are ridiculous, theres 30 pallets on every stage, breakable walls, dum loops, and they still whine about certain killers and perks. Most games by the time you tear through all the pallets and walls then you still got DH, DS, AD, and SC for a 36 meter head start. How much time you need? Not everyone uses Sprit, Freddy, billy, or nurse every game.

They are, theyre a one hit down, and if they get downed cleansing wont give the heal. Its only if the only damage they suffer is through sickness.
They don't care they either stay that way or insta heal with the fountain. The point I was trying to make which I already know there a one hit btw is that cleansing should not heal back to full health. That's why most don't cleanse till end.

Id be fine for them healing a state if they were healthy when they became sick compared to if they were already injured.
it would be better than now sure but not if they have became broken by the sickness. They should be punished for that.

Simple, would you rather be somewhat of a Jack of All Trades or a master of a couple?
I have leveled one killer all the way to P3 and got so bored of just using the same person even though they are my favorite. I need variety. I understand that playing a character for extended periods helps you get better but I need to main at least 2 or 3 at a time. Also I own just about every purple and legendary skin for every killer so I like to shine with them all so just using one don't do that. Bhvr should give me a BP bonus/multiplier for the amount of skins I own.

I own all killers. I will use all killers. I hope I can be good with all killers. Time will tell. RN I think I'm doing pretty well I went to rank 1 with Freddy, Hag, Bubba, Trapper at beginning of my play time then I found out 2/3 of them were very stong/best. I deranked to 16 which was very difficult by the way and took lots of farming. Timed it perfect for the 13th to drop to 20. I now have climbed back to red with clown, mike, pig, twins, and a few games with DS and oni.

@Altarf said:
My guess is:
-Clown rework which ultimately doesn't improve him all that much OR makes him incredibly easy to play and becomes the next Freddy. Either way, his addons are receiving a sledgehammer to the knees.
-Some perk changes; Gearhead and Blood Echo are my guesses. Probably a lot of killer perk nerfs; Undying is obvious but I also think Tinkerer, Infectious Fright and Blood Favour will be nerfed. The former two because they are good perks and the latter because it's probably sort of difficult to go against for new players.
-Probably Blight POV fix.
-Small Twins nerf, probably making Victor take longer to come back after being kicked.
-Coldwind Farm graphics update OR Coldwind + Crotus Prenn.
NOED and DS will not be touched.
They also already said Infectious does exactly what they want it to do and it's fine. So doubt that one but it it bhvr they do lie. But real talk out of the undying combo if tinkerer is what get nerfed it just proves the devs don't play there own game, and survivors don't really know how they want the killers to play.

Tinkerer just got changed not to long ago to what it is now. Tinkerer is fine the way it is. Promotes and teaches good game play to killers. It's the combo that needs looked at. Remove the aura to undying and the problem goes away. Then we just back to watching are hexes fly off the boards 2 minutes later than usual.

Console is just laggy as hell, I'd chock it up to dbd being dbd. There's a small chance they were lag-switching, but that seems unlikely.
Only reason I even made a post as it just seemed weird that it was only when they were injured that was the part that seemed a little fishy to me. Also the fact I hadn't seen it this bad before dead hard of course causes the whole damn map to lag on console but the whole Lobby didn't have that so it wasn't that.
-
I was leveling up Spirit not too long ago and in my opinion when she's not phasing she is incredibly slow and I watch the stream of somebody else playing her and she looked so fast and I'm like why mine that fast don't we all play the same game.

It's also hilarious to me to watch streamers which I rarely do by the way but nonetheless still hilarious to watch them play killer and see how ridiculously fast they're moving compared to me on console like you can see how fast they're moving on their screen I'm flying around the map they can stay till they're blue in the face everybody's the same speed yada yada yada but they're not you can see it plain as day.

I don't believe they should be healed from cleansing. just cleansed of sickness. No where did I ever read or hear about a damn insta heal from her fountains. I cleansed when I had deep wounds and it only took the mend away and I was still injured so do that same thing just take sickness.

@Sluzzy said:
This is mostly due to survivor being very much harder than killer. If a survivor is not very experienced or confident, they have to resort to being stealthy to avoid the killer. A killer doesn't have this to worry about, they have perks to help slow the game down and tracking perks.
heheheheheheheheheheh lol. I choked on my drink with that one.

It's the same reason why i stopped using Ruin before it's rework.
I absolutely hate the RNG aspect of it.I rather play with weaker perks that are more consistent
i really like pop and oppression. Like Alot But I recently started using the stipulation perk (Surge) and it's not too bad requires you to watch where you drop lol. I like to run TT with pop, oppression because you down, pickup/hook, TT tells you what gens are being worked on, you go pop it, oppression tells you where to apply pressure next. Assuming to don't find a target or targets before hand or oppression isn't still on cooldown :(
-
Killer - Love BBQ as everyone should.
Tinkerer is my hands down favorite perk in game. I truly believe it's the best perk in the game. I know it's getting hate being ran with ruin/undying but your wasting perk slots if you don't apply pressure with ruin so I understand why at least. Also love Discordance and Bamboozle. I really love the undetectable status so Spine chill is the perk I hate. You get 36 meter heads up all kinds of bonuses, destroy stealth killers whole point, and now undetectable is not undetectable because you have spine chill? Get OUT. I don't necessarlily have a problem with DS I have a problem with how it's used offensively.
Survivor - Autodidact and aftercare. Although the skill check rng for AD sucks but still use it anyway.
Don't hate no killer perks or offerings everything has been changed. Only thing left to complain about is having to do bones and the usual tunnel, camp, and slug lol.

Makes no sense if you see me with a giant sword HAVE NO FEAR but clown, legion, freddy, etc and there butter knives you better watch out. Have not played much Billy anymore either. used to like him alot. i played one game with him over the weekend had lots of fun with tinker and dark devotion. Nothing like a silent chainsaw to the face from across the map. I understand what you mean about the feel though I thought it was just console.
-
Wraith at beginning but then got all the killers and have been using them all. Trapper is my favorite and my main now. I don't have to run massive slowdown, or special chase perks. I can play what I want with him and still perform optimally. I feel he has devastating add-ons if used in certain combos especially the 30 sec trap reset if used with honing stone or the purple bag add-on. You can lock down almost every pallet and vault location on some maps and even if they disarm it resets in 30 secs and they get caught coming back. Find myself wishing there were more traps/carry more on normal games though. I find Trapper very rewarding when it all comes together.

Same. It's hit or miss. Saturday I was very unlucky thought about ditching the combo then Sunday came around and for the first time ever they had to cleanse 4 hexes to get ruin. then again next game all 5. i feel if it survives long enough to regress 2 gens down to nothing even if they cleanse it's too late. Hell maybe one depending on how they cleansed meaning how many went off looking for them.

Idk about that. I was rank 1 for long time then de ranked on purpose all the way back to 16 and started to play exactly like you. Still somehow climbing ranks even using my lower tier killers. Will be back in red rank next game and that's with giving hatch every game.

you won with 3 gens left, and yet you complain that your undying got cleansed at the early stage. if it wasn't cleansed, you would probably win with 5 gens left. besides you're playing twins so you can easily defend the totem with victor's overpowered movement speed. i can't see the problem here?
You completely missed the point. You claim it's OP but it was gone before I made it accross the map. Survivors spawn on top of the totems, totem spawns are trash on most maps, the aura reading only works when it wants too, yes it can be defended once the game is setup but not in this situation. The survivors being trash in this specific game aint the point pay attention for totems there are only five and gens speeds are exactly slow so theres time for you to cleanse some bones geez.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
these sarcastic posts mocking survivors are honestly not funny. many survivors, me included, would like a fair and fun challenge, not a complete domination with ruin undying every game and OP addons. also it's true that some killers are just plain uncounterable: spirit, deathslinger, nurse, and people still defend them.
Funny I decided to take my pop/opression/Trilling off my twins last night and put on ruin/undying/surveillance to try on them. The map spawn was autohaven so I thought it would go well. I started traveling across the map got maybe 15 meters from were the match started and undying was cleansed, I was like what? Really? No aura when I'm walking in that direction so no way I missed it but what evs. I'm continuing my march at this point I;m about 5 to 10 meters from the 2nd farthest gen and ruin is cleansed. You got to be kidding me see no aura again. So tell me how it's OP. Sounds completely RNG to me. That left me with BBQ and Surveilance for 99% of match. It didn't matter they only got 2 gens but had that been a game with better survivors I would have been screwed and I know it so Pop/opression/trilling welcome back. Sorry I doubted you.

Yesterday I was chasing a nea who dropped a pallet and jumped in a locker right in front of me. I proceded to walk right at the locker but then darted to the left at the perfect time baiting her head on. She got smacked when she left the locker and downed very quickly. I hooked her and shook my head left and right (oh no you dont). She ended up being one of the last too survivors and I hooked a nancy and my bbq picked her up going into a locker not too far from my location. I crept to it from the side and opened it before she could leap out and ended the game. This time nodding my head up and down in laughter. Head on is the most satisfying stun in the game as long as it's not done to you. She messaged me after said she was trying to do the 4 stuns in one match. Sorry Claudette not these twins.
-
I'm on a nice win streak with the twins and I don't do none of that. I do like to leave vic on one side of the map as a beacon/tracking indicator though. Great gen protector. I personally disagree with Charlotte being slow that's why I play this way also love her lung feel like I can't miss from anywhere.
-
Just my opinion but I hate doctor. He is the last killer I would choose to use simply because there is something with me and his lunge. I can land most of my lunges with every killer except doc. Falls just short every time. Spirit gets me sometimes to so shes a close second. His static blast (without distressing) only goes so far and is not an aura just an unreliable bubble. You can also hear him charging it up which gives you time to run or hide in a locker BEFORE you get hit with it. Dont hide in the locker right next to where your bubble went off. He still has to hit you twice with a basic attack as well NUFF SAID.

Well that shift is brutal but at least from what your only worry is weightlifting. I say your sitting pretty other than that crazy shift. I have for better or worse had to work through this pandemic (not saying I wanted too) 8-10 hours shifts. On top of that I just had twins in October which brought my seed count from 2 to 4 in a blink of an eye just in time for Christmas. So balancing time for games is a slippery slope but hopefully your shift time is tied to pandemic and dies down soon.

Indeed it is. Ghostface is just better than him imo.
Slight change yes but I feel he is still better in this current state then ghostface. Being able to stalk nore than one survivor to fill up your meter is better than have to stalk each survivor separately with the game speed now. Not to mention Mike still has some really powerful add-ons. For instance with as fast as gens can go against mike especially on bigger maps I played mike with unlimited EW3 this weekend and 4 gens popped before I got it. Won with 1 gen remaining because that add-on is so powerful. I prefer scratched mirror but it's fun to bring it once in awhile. I personally thing my girl Plague is the forgotten killer hands down. Not sure how anyone could say different. They don't even remember they put her in the game and neither do most of you.

Played against 3 freddy's this weekend this weekend. This happened in all 3 games. One game survivor killed himself on hook as we popped 1st gen. The 3 of us still escaped body blocking for each other to the gate. Hahahaha Fred not so powerful that game......... Solo Q btw

That's fair. I've found much more luck with it, myself, but if you'd rather not deal with an Obsession, then Fire Up is actually a GREAT replacement, for once in its mediocre existence!
All they have to do is tweak it a bit. The fact it only does something after you lose a gens makes it weak. It needs to start with some percentage or have a different factor/requirement.

Yes, by all means, use Fire Up!
I personally use STBFL just to spread out my stupidly ridiculous speed when doing anything relevant, but Fire Up pairs really well with this dumb, gimmicky build that has no business working as well as it does.
I suck with STBFL always lose my stacks. always feels like a wasted perk slot. I feel like the obssession is magnetized to me and my weapon swings itself.
