All I’m saying is I’m not surprise with Yui having the most DCs. Every time the game doesn’t go well they’re the ones to dc
...there were 4 total

I understand not wanting to be specific as people would abuse the system but you guys should know the trust level is extremely low and the tiniest smidgen of transparency would remove so much ire. We know the very first idea was based solely on kills, then whatever the first actual attempt was did not even slightly work, so its very difficult to blindly trust that not only will the system be functional, but it will actually account for who is better.
The tiniest crumb of detail that would inspire so much confidence would be a simple question like "do add-ons affect the outcome?"
Relax. It's a 24 hour test. At least let them get through a single day of testing before bringing trust into it.

As a solo player I use it a lot because I can't communicate with my teammates and I can't rely on them to know what they're doing. The best way to deal with that is to pump out gens as fast as possible because that gives survivors more room for error. Things can escalate quickly and if gens don't start popping ASAP then odds are no one's making it out alive.
-
No.
-
Because the devs keep absurdly OP things in the game for years. More than 2 years ago one of the devs said on their personal stream that iridescent heads are problematic and would be nerfed "soon."

Renaming running as "shift+w strat" has got to be one of the cringiest things I've ever seen in this community.
-
No he kills kids of course he's not good, what's wrong with you?!
-
Poor bait.
-
Agreed, OP.
I also gotta laugh at people who say gwtting hit with NOED is punishment for not completing an objective. Totems are not a secondary objective. As soon as there's a little totem icon next to the gen icon, each with their own numbers that countdown as you complete/cleanse them, then it will be an objective. Until then, totems are no more an objective than chests. Totems are not even in the ######### tutorial.

Between you guys and the new AVGN episode, starting to think I need to watch the Shrek movies 🤔
1 and 2 are actually very good movies. The rest are meh.

Shrek is love, Shrek is life

He's mid tier, middle of the pack imo. He could use some buffs

Not to mention that apparently main event automatically activates instead of letting YOU decide when to activate it seems dumb like REALLY DUMB.
It Says you automatically throw blades when you activate it, not that it automatically activates..
-
Yeah it's obnoxious. It doesn't help that a lot of the challenges require you to play inefficiently to get them. For instance if you hit one great skill check when using a medkit you won't deplete the medkit upon completion of the heal and you may not get another chance to do so. Why not just make it the equivalent of 6 heals? It's just to add meaningless difficulty. Essentially the "challenge" here is to purposefully play worse.
-
Ohh ok thanks everyone, I'll have to check it out

Why necro this?
THIS WAS A NEW POST WHEN I FIRST JOINED THE FORUMS, I REMEMBER IT!!!!!
it's two years old.
I was so young back then....

I like it, it's goofy and I think it fits his personality. On the surface he's this silly kpop star but he's actually one sadistic bastard
-
Yeah I don't believe them on this one either
-
Denying a kill with a locker is so satisfying tho.
-
I love it too 🥰

I always laugh when this happens lol

I don't care, I'll still ask for it.
Ok have fun with that.

This will literally never happen.

A few minor buffs to EW1 and EW3 would be welcome. I've heard that he should get 110% move speed while in EW1 with no add-ons and I think that'd help quite a lot. Change scratched mirror to decrease your movement speed by 5% or something and it's be a good change.
I also want him to have increased kick speed and attack cooldown while in EW3. Nothing extraordinary just a small buff that makes tier 3 slightly more scary. I don't think he needs anything huge or a rework, it's fine that he's a very simple killer to play.
I really like the idea to make him do everything faster in t3. Vaulting, breaking gens and pallets, picking up and hooking survivors. (Combining this with Fire Up! would be fun lol) I'd say no to the shortened attack cool down though because if you miss with the extended lunge then it should hurt you a little. Maybe just if you don't lunge.
-
I've never paid attention to this. Would be nice if we had stat trackers in game
-
Because Bhvr is providing a service and, like literally every business ever, they are allowed to create rules that customers must follow in order to continue using that service. This is pretty simple stuff, and I'm going to guess you know that.

I don't think the community is anymore or less toxic than most other gaming communities. But people put thousands upon thousands of hours into DBD, so 1. If this is someone's first game they put that much time and effort into (clearly there are lots of young people on this forum and on reddit and twitter) then they're going to think this community is especially toxic. And 2. Even if it's not the first experience like this, if you're putting thousands of hours into one game then chances are you're not doing nearly the same amount in other online games, so the other games you play less feel fresher and you don't run into as many toxic people, so in comparison DBD feels awful.
I used to play Halo 2 online. I'm used to people screaming f and n words, and telling me I should off myself. Does that mean any of that's okay? No, but it's not unique to DBD.
One thing that might make toxicity feel more personal is that there's a max of 5 people per match. It's easier to focus on one person and insult them or direct your anger toward them. And the killer, especially, is on their own, so they're easier to gang up on.
If you're concerned with the negativity than I encourage you to send some positive messages in chat or through msg on console. Like someone's outfit? Did they pull off a nice save or a good mind game? Did the killer kick your ass without tunneling or camping? Let them know. Even if it's just a quick comment I think that sort of thing goes a long way.
-
Just go to the bathroom or make a sandwich or scroll through reddit when this happens. The crows will start squawking and the killer will know you're afk. People who sit there and spin in circles or crawl around are just giving a toxic killer the satisfaction they're looking for. All they're doing is trying to waste your time because they can. Maybe they had a bad match recently or their mom yelled at them for not leaving the basement for 5 days and are taking it out on you. Or maybe they're just a troll. Whatever the reason, responding in any way just feeds into their BS and gives them an incentive to do it to someone else.
Recognize it for being as pathetic as it is and choose to ignore it.
Same when you're killer. If you're in a rush, push them out the exit gates, but what I usually do is sit in a corner afk and go do something productive for a few minutes so they're only wasting their own time.
-
Sure, if it takes 10 seconds to do.

Lol I thought the same thing 😅

But what about Unbreakable?
The last change to Unbreakable was to buff it. So keep praying for that nerf lol
-
Yes, DS is getting nerfed. But not against actual tunneling, unfortunately for you.
-
No. It can help a lot in certain situations and builds but every other exhaustion perk is better
-
You can't understand why a business wants to make money??
Bhvr isn't Activision. And besides, they give free maps and cosmetics. There's been five free characters since release.
Also ######### are you spending shards on??
-
Get gud.
-
Oh no you didn't pip. The horror.
-
I like it but I mainly play stealth killers. It's nice when your surprise attack isn't immediately negated by Sprint Burst.
-
Yes that would be amazing. I'm honestly a bit surprised they haven't done a Pirate killer
-
Well.. when is it coming? They've been talking about it for, what, over a year now? I'm excited for rank rewards.. whenever they come
-
I think it would work better if it was all in its own bonus BP category and the lowest that category could go was 0, so you wouldn't actually lose any BP, you'd just miss out on bonus BP.
-
Survivors are just skins so I don't really care tbh
Killers:
Spirit - I think we all know
Huntress - Can't stand her nondirectional humming
Oni - Almost every single match against him starts with 1 or 2 people injured in the first 20 seconds and it's all downhill from there
Doctor - Unbelievably annoying
Plague - Makes so many perks just completely useless. Also as a solo player I've actually seen survivors cleanse, unhook an infected survivor, and then ######### cleanse again right after

Ages ago I've made suggestions on NOED rework, unfortunately the idea behind it was insted given to the new perk No way out in much weaker form.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/163013/some-ideas-for-noed-rework
Right now I don't want to bother thinking of more proper ways to fix NOED but if I did, they'd need to adress the main issues it has. I still think my old ideas for NOED rework would fit much better then giving that mechanic to a new perk.
Thanks, there's some interesting ideas in there. I actually like No Way Out so I'm glad an idea similar to yours came to fruition even if it wasn't in the form of a NOED change

@HollowsGrief said:
Yes, lets nerf a medicore/bad perk that only works at the very end of the game instead of the plethora of other perks/items/killer powers that need adjusting.
Plethora? There's like a handful of things that legitimately need nerfing. Settle down there, Slippy.

I'll always stand by my idea of reworking NOED to replace the Exposed status effect with mori power. Keep the haste effect or maybe replace that with something different like vision on all survivors for a certain amount of time (So it would be like Rancor on everyone, minus Exposed). Would this be really evil and gross potentially? Yes but no one would be escaping "death" by your hand.
Okay yes, some people would probably just rush the exit gates and leave their downed teammate behind but people usually already do that against current NOED or they risk trying to save and all get killed anyways.
That's a pretty cool idea, too. Also gives more opportunities to see moris now that they have been nerfed
-
@Kebek said:
It wouldn't solve main issues NOED causes. There are better ways to rework it.
If you have a better idea, suggest it

@Terro said:
I think it would be more interesting and funnier if with each totem done, noed gets stronger but it gets so strong it becomes uncontrollable.
That's just evil lol
