I don't think they should be bannable but I do think there should be mechanics implemented to prevent the hard tunneling/face camping that happens.
Maybe do something similar to PH cages where if killer is by hook for certain amount of time not in a chase the hook moves - if hook moves aura disappears for killer. That would make a face camper think twice about hanging out by the hook. If they won't do that they could atleast have the camped hooked survivor receive BP for % gen repaired while hooked and distraction points since they are distracting the killer from doing anything else. They should also put the "do gens if your teammate is camped" tip from mobile on the loading screen before every game. Tunneling just have killer earn less points for hooking same person multiple times in a row.
They also need to re-evaluate the rift challenges since many on both sides encourage bad game play, like tunneling and camping. The sacrifice obsession x times basically guarantees the obsession will be tunneled/camped when the killer is trying to get that challenge done.

If you know a survivor has spine chill, try and moonwalk to the gen, it works quite well.
Or don't look directly at the gen, look off to the side of it.
-
I haven't had a DC yet today by a survivor or killer. I'm pretty shocked. I have crossplay off, figure that probably helps plus people trying to get xp to finish the rift.
-
They removed the obnoxious engine revving sound? That's awesome. It got annoying quick, especially with multiple survivors on one gen.
-
Game has been glitching out sending me back to the "press x to continue" screen alot lately. Mostly in lobbies or during loading screen. Has been happening to my teammate as well. So many times one of us is kicked while other makes it to the next lobby - whichever made it to the lobby leaves so we can try again. Sometimes closing out game entirely helps but not for long.

I've only used a mori once for a Rift Challenge, but I DO think the Rift challenges encourage some toxic behavior. Lightburn/Blind a Killer 6 times? I'm sure Killers love that one.
Mori is even in dailies. I don't know what the answer is. I get that there's probably a decent amount of players who wouldn't normally play in an unfun way, but do so because of specific Rift challenges.
I have a feeling play will become less toxic once the Rift closes, but that's just my thoughts.
I'd say the best games are between rifts when people are playing normal and not trying to get challenges done.
-
I'd love for them to just focus on optimization and bug fixes for a bit.
-
I'm on ps4 and I turned it off after the first day. My waits have been only a minute or two for both killer and survivor so definitely feels like plenty on ps4 turned it off as well.
-
Bad optimization on console.
-
Combination of poor console optimization and bugs. They just add an unnecessary level of frustration to the game.
-
They should make it that when you search for a lobby everything should be locked, survivor and killer. Skip the loading into second lobby and showing offerings bits, just go straight into the match. Can have something in the HUD show if there's something like BPS. No more lobby/offering dodging or last minute switches.

Forgot to add my waits are also short with crossplay off - only a minute or two for killer or survivor which is wicked nice.

There needs to be another similar successful game that is actual competition for DBD to push the devs to really focus on fixing game health. Right now the game can have all the current issues because it's not like the players have another similar game they can go play instead.

You really should. I can't tell you how many survivors have been murdered because they can't just leave their key alone. Not even just keys, any item you make them drop, it's like this weird hunger rises in them that they must reclaim that item. They would rather be downed than let it be destroyed. It's kinda cute.
I got murdered a bunch when Franklin's would be used to knock firecrackers out of my hand and I'd go back to look for them. Took me so long to realize when those get knocked out they get completely destroyed. ๐
-
Make all keys broken, have add ons be what opens the hatch. This would limit the key in chest issue because survivors would need to use perk space to pull item with add ons from chests.

PS4 - I turned it off after the first day. Aside from the console performance issues and it feeling more laggy/glitchy it felt like I was just getting non-stop terrible teammates if I didn't have a ps4 player in my lobby with me. If there was no other ps4 player on my team I was left on first hook until I would usually die or sometimes struggle, never saved before struggle. I could see my teammates weren't doing anything - no gens, no totems, just wandering around or hiding across the map. If I had atleast one ps4 player (more was better) we'd save eachother and the others off hook before struggle and gens would actually get completed. It kind of felt like players would see the globes in their lobby and decide they wouldn't help players from other platforms to escape, there was just no teamwork to be found.

I've had this happen as killer. You pop through the pallet and have to turn around and break it to pick up the survivor behind you, really threw me the first time as from my perspective I got the hit and then stunned with the survivor going down ahead of me across the pallet.
Getting some serious stuttering during chase too, makes landing the juke hits hard and often extends chases beyond what they should have been.
When I'm hit the way it looks makes sense, looks like I'm on same side of pallet as killer and they're facing me. The rubberbanding after just makes it feel more like a bs hit though, like should I have been hit if they're a pallet away not facing me?

Did they enable that on release for graphic update as that's when it started for me
Was enabled like a week before the graphic update.

They increased the tick rate? That might explain a lot tbh
Yeah, they did it at beginning of September.

-
Rubberband I noticed when they increased the tick rate. It happens the most at pallets when I stun a killer. If I drop pallet on same side as killer and killer hits me I can watch the killer teleport to other side of pallet. Alot of times I'm downed at the pallet when this happens, can tell killer is confused because they look for my body before either kicking or going around pallet to get back to me.

1. Fix the optimization issues so there is a balance in performance on all systems.
2. Focus more on fixing current bugs and change current process to be more efficient in preventing future bugs before going live with updates.
3. Buff solo q to be balanced with swf and then buff killers.

Explain how doctor, Freddy and pyramid head are disadvantaged when it comes to console.
Console optimization issues causing FPS drops while playing them. There's a 14 page post called Console Optimization where console players give examples of the issues they've experienced while playing specific killers. There was also a 30 page post that was closed where examples were given as well.
*edit to add also look in Optimization section where there are specific posts about the killers issues in console.

What makes me really afraid is that the killers that experience the most issues on console are recent ones: reworked Doctor, reworked Freddy, Demogorgon, Pyramid Head and now Blight. The same goes for new maps (Hawkins, Midwich, new Lery's and Sanctum of Wrath). It seems to me that after the game got free on Playstation Plus they stopped caring for the console community and just released their new content without tests.
PS+ free month was in 2018 and after they had Legion/Ormond and Plague/Temple come out so don't think lack of care started then. May 2019 is when it became free on Xbox game pass and September 2019 Stranger Things was released. September 2019 is also when it released on Switch.
I'd say they just don't feel like spending time/effort testing on multiple platforms. Reason for not doing ptb on console is because of the time/effort it takes to get one set up due to console rules so could see same reason being why they don't bother testing new DLC on console before release.
-
Seems like they tweaked the electric bits in the center of Lery's during last update. My fps is not a fan. ๐ฌ
-
First time I saw someone say it was in a FB group post. I couldn't believe the amount that agreed saying they do the same. I didn't realize Haunted Grounds was so scary to survivors. ๐
-
I've seen survivors say they purposely avoid touching lit totems until they know what they hex is because they don't want to activate Haunted Grounds. They'd rather wait for Devour Hope to activate and give killer 1 hit/mori until cleansed rather than wait out a 60 second Haunted Grounds.
-
I turned off crossplay because of difference in optimization between console and pc. When I had crossplay on the game performance felt way worse - more laggy/fps issues. The little ping bar in the lobby would show as red/yellow with crossplay on but with crossplay off it's always green. My waits were longer with crossplay on, with it off I only wait maybe a minute or two for a lobby. And finally as a solo survivor if I didn't have another ps4 player in my lobby I was being left on first hook until I died (mostly) or hit struggle but my teammates weren't doing anything (totems, gens, healing, chase) for me to be left on the hook - felt like other platforms players saw the globe and decided they didn't want to help players outside their platform.
-
Anytime there's a 1-hit killer that goes around and downs everyone (usually with knock out) then just has them bleed out.
Anytime I have been tunneled then mori'd off first hook.
One time my entire team DC within first minute of the match - first when they realized it was Leatherface, second when Leatherface pulled them from a locker, third when they couldn't unhook themself even though I was running to them and Leatherface wasn't camping. Before I could find hatch Leatherface DC.
One time a Spirit managed to body block me in the basement after I was unhooked, was there until EGC killed me. I was first hooked and spent all 5 gens in the basement. Hadn't been toxic, didn't have time to even do anything toxic before I was downed and hooked.
-
Rather an unlicensed zombie chapter so they have more freedom and can be bought with iridescent shards.
-
It has never crossed my mind when I've lost a match where a killer was running those that they were the reason I died, and definitely not because they were run together. ๐
-
I remember when I didn't know totems could spawn in the open like that so I never looked there. So many matches where Ruin or Devour Hope weren't cleansed because they were out in the open where no one looked. ๐
Maps aren't that big, it limits the places a totem can spawn. If you had more places to hide a totem you give the survivors more places to hide. I've seen people complain about tree increase on maps to help Ghostface stalk, pretty sure people would be upset if more places were added to hide totems that a survivor could also use to hide. A perk like corrupt intervention but for totems would be good to block totems for certain amount of time at beginning of match, atleast stop hex totems from being cleanse in first 30 seconds.
-
PC killers complained about PC survivors teabagging and wasting time in exit gates all the time before crossplay was activated. EGC was started so survivors would quit holding game hostage doing that because they did it on ALL platforms not just console.
-
I just had a killer slug all 4 survivors with knockout for a 4k. Technically he'd "win" from 0 survivors escaping. I'd rather not encourage that type of gameplay.
-
Change to press x once to start struggle and again to end struggle. Mashing is annoying and fps drops on console can have you die mid struggle. Fps drops during skill checks same issue.
-
Hate the engine rev sound. It gets annoying really quick because of how often it happens, add multiple survivors on a gen and it's extremely obnoxious. The high pitched sound can cover the sound of a skill check giving killer free Huntress Lullaby effect.
-
I'm not getting my hopes up. Until I actually see fixes to performance on current console it just feels like it's for show.
-
There's so many useless offerings they need to get rid of including these. People hate the grind so they add more useless things to use bloodpoints on instead of removing. Makes sense.

Uuggh that's not good hopefully those poor xbox users have had some kinda fix or something allowing them to give feedback . @JPLongstreet how's things on xbox any fix yet to your issue?
Hopefully they pay attention to the feedback. ๐ค
Seems odd they didn't post the survey to social media. Would think they'd want as much feedback as possible?

I feel sorry for the xbox users that may still have issues with even opening the game and not being a forum member. Hopefully it's on Facebook and twitter for them to have their input.
๐ท๐
It's not, I checked both Twitter and FB.
-
In case anyone missed it they have a survey for game performance: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DbD-PlayerSurvey
-
I had that issue awhile ago with it, switched to spine chill because it seemed to happen more often than not. I had games where I'd be staring at the killer and it wouldn't activate but then if I turned around it'd give me the notification.

No heartbeat on hook (with all killers) is a actual thing unless it is actually a bug. Either way, hopefully a mod or dev answers to tell the truth about it
Prior to recent update I always heard the killer's heartbeat when I was in their terror radius while hooked. Freddy last night was first time I didn't hear any heartbeat in his terror radius while hooked.
-
The new sound is just annoying, especially when more than one survivor is on a gen. Only time the sound was an issue with ganeplay was when it's high pitch sound was at same time as a skill check - it's basically free Huntress Lullaby.
-
It's so obnoxious, especially if more than one person is working on a gen. There's so many sound issues, adding unnecessary sounds to the game is extra annoying.
-
I only care when they do it in the killers face and are immediately downed screwing over the rest of the team. If they can safely unhook themselves I don't care.

Yeah. Either hoping for a Potato-Killer or praying to all the Gods you know that Dead Hard is actually working.
Exactly. Also how close exactly do you need to be for it to count as a near miss? Only time I see a "near miss" pop up is with Deathslinger miss with his gun. The obnoxious thing is where it's located on the web, as a survivor you can't skip over it to do it later.
-
I can't wait to do the near miss challenge. ๐

It just started this nonsense. I have two controllers and it happens on both. Itโs very annoying to just all of a sudden start running at half speed.
I havenโt played killer in a couple of days to see if walk speed is being effected there also.

If it's multiple controllers then definitely the game. Based on some whiffs from killers in my matches today I wouldn't be surprised if their walking speed got messed up. They did something in this update that made things worse instead of better.
