Wait lockers also make you drop blood? lol rip locker dweets then

exiting a locker while injured makes you drop 2 blood orbs, entering a locker and being in a locker doesn't drop blood orbs though so you can still use lockers to stealth against an oni while injured

    Kinda seperate issues here....

    Still the phrase issues

might as well work on all of them instead of none of them

  • I still don't even know what you are claiming to be the problem

but if its getting hit while on the other side of a window while being right next to the window that has been in the game for 4.8 years so I think if it was a bug by now it would have been patched

and no bringing devs don't care doesn't make your argument suddenly right, making an actually argument against the mechanic would and even then you stood too close to a window and someone took advantage of your bad positioning so I can't see why that would be a bad mechanic that should be removed instead of just looking at it as an opportunity to play smarter

Right I don't think you understand me here. I didn't even vault the window nor did the killer he was on one side I was on the other so ping was not the issue, delay wasn't the issue it was down to the game being designed a certain way. If this is not a bug a developer needs to come out and say that it's not because otherwise there are only two possibilities either A the killer was hacking (which is doubtful because my friend did the same thing) or B the games designed incorrectly.

You can hit through a window, it doesn't act as a wall as long as his little arms can reach over it, even if you aren't vaulting it he can swing over the window and you can get hit over the window if you stand close enough

So like all other injured survivors can see someone with wmi? That seems better than what I came up with.

To be fair I theorize a lot of perk changes, I have been doing it for almost as long as I've been playing the game and have gotten decent at reworking perks and theorizing new ones, here's one of my old ones that aged like fine wine for a new perk idea from August 2020

Supply run, once/twice/three times per game you can reset a chest to find another item in it, the new item isn't affected by any modifying perks

That should honestly be how blood pact works: 'injured survivors see your aura if you're the obsession. Increases chance to become obsession' or something like that.

I wouldn't be opposed to blood pact rework of sorts

    How's this

    Blood pact :

Greatly Increases your chances of being the obsession (basically priority unless someone else has this perk then its an equal chance between who becomes the obsession)

If you are the obsession when any survivor becomes injured you both see each others auras, when you become injured your aura is revealed to all survivors

If you are not the obsession when you or the Obsession are injured, you both see each other's auras

Whenever you heal or get healed by a survivor you both gain a 5/6/7% haste bonus until you exit within 16 meters of each other

Basically all the effects are on top of current blood pact so a massive boost if you are the obsession by making blood pact teamwide and a large increase to obsession chance so this perk can get a lot of value

  • How about all other injured survivors, because while im all for a no downside buff I think it would make more sense if you become injured while someone has well make it active you see the blue symbol in the bottom left and can see their aura to know where to go for heals, regular aura reading 24/7 when a survivor has it active just sounds weird

Well a window even if you are on the other side is still supposed to be like a wall but you can jump through it and through to the other side, if you were hit through a window it would be the same as hitting someone through a wall considering the in game tiles are the same size.

if you want a concrete answer on a problem you can't discuss the problem in abstract terms it just doesn't work that way

Survivors getting hit through windows are relatively common since dedicated servers and is slowly being addressed as servers get better and the extreme high ping situations are being addressed with hit registration, however for the foreseeable future this will stay prevalent, better find a way to deal with the annoyance from it now since its gonna stay for a while

  • Kindred basekit should only be survivors auras and not killer aura unless you have kindred equipped

Kindred as a perk has its range increased by 8 meters (max range still capped at 24 with open handed so no hope for stacking its range) and keeps the same effect

BBQ basekit only includes the aura reading side

BBQ as a perk becomes more interesting heres my take on it, whenever you hook a survivor who is not dead on hook, gain a token each token provides a 25% stackable bonus to all bloodpoint gains up to 6/7/8 tokens this perk can no longer gain tokens after a survivor who is dead on hook is hooked or a survivor is killed by your own hands. (Bonus bp is awarded post trial). If you reach at least 6 tokens bbq also triggers aura reading on all survivors outside of 40 meters every 60 seconds for 4 seconds this effect persists to the end of the trial.

Meaning that bbq becomes both a blood point engine with double its capacity for bonus bp and it becomes a powerful late game perk that provides a ton of information as a reward for going after different survivors, but the perk itself also can't be tampered with by survivors killing themselves on hook as the only way to disable it is to have someone killed early by the killers own hands

Ever since they changed survivor locomotion the desync has been so horrible. It was MUCH worse when it first released as we all remember getting hit from insanely far away but I know for a fact that during old locomotion I never experienced hits like I have the past few months. It's almost like they never needed to change locomotion to begin with...

No that was still server being really laggy when displaying killer animations about a second farther back then the killer actually was and nothing to do with survivor locomotion

Desync has been horrible since dedicated servers since it pretty much singlehandedly introduced desync into the game by removing peer to peer match making, so instead of 1-100 killers having mcdonalds internet and gaining an advantage from it 100-100 killers get to enjoy the servers just providing them the benefits that comes with desync with none of the hassle.

To be fair its improving over time but they still need something to make it a bit better

  • Honestly this part confuses me the most

My lobby ping as killer, 60ms

    Survivors lobby ping, 30ms

    Gameplay: https://youtu.be/BMSR7vNPt-A

For some reason killer ping just doesn't always add up and its weird

  • yea, and lockers, but mainly the 3 most common actions taken in a chase besides holding W grants oni more blood orbs to get his power faster it doesn't even reset the 4 second timer meaning they are nothing but bonus on top of his base power and can come in handy in a pinch

It doesn't matter if it's a specific killer or map, it can be anything and anyone and this thing happends a lot.

you have to click the quote button on the bottom of someones message for them to get a notification that you responded to them

  • it would be more interesting if sound ranged in volume based on proximity to a hooked survivor rather than always at maximum

  • Pretty sure thats just because they are playing huntress and got Haddonfield, its just not a fun map especially with 110 movement speed due to never being able to cut off survivors and loops being much harder to chase around as 110, most tiles can easily generate as infinites against huntress, speaking from experience I used the house of pain as an infinite against huntress until she eventually got fed up with me, the map, and my team to the point where she dced

  • I think there should just be an option to hide player names ingame *not hide yourself from other players

the reason is some streamers like otz have a bad time due to some toxic members of the community hopping in survivor twitch streams and treating the streamer poorly, so having the option to just hide names in lobby would be a nice quality of life for those individuals,

however for normal gameplay purposes I see no reason to hide names in the lobby for either role under normal conditions, most of the time I just glance at names in the lobby for a few seconds and thats the end of it just to clear up simple stress of if they have a shared clan tag or something to be slightly worried about so I can prepare accordingly

  • Hes better than he was but still beatable

  • Don't forget the extra part where certain survivor interactions will also give extra blood orbs basekit, vaulting a window, dropping a pallet, vaulting a pallet are some of the ways oni can get his power much faster from frantic survivors

it isn't just a pallet thing, it happens this way with some really edge case fast vaults, clown's gas, plague's puke and doctor's shocks.

Preaching the the choir, I am all knowing, and already know that all of these edge cases already existed, I simply kept my answer within the confines of the question being asked which was about getting hit through pallet stuns. As to not overwhelm op

  • @danielmaster87 said:

You have too much sensitivity on your basic attacks, but too little when you're aiming with hatchets. I've started using STBFL on her because that's how unreliable point-blank hatchets, or should I say hatchets in general, have become.

I put iridescent head on her, and all it did was even the playing field. There were still so many matches where it was close, or the survivors straight-up escaped. Can't down anybody if you can't hit them. So these upcoming nerfs that are gonna limit the iri heads to one are going to make her unplayable on console. A joystick is so hard to aim with on Huntress, you PC overlords, so don't tell me I'm stretching the truth.

Deathslinger is somewhat fine to play, because his shots come out and connect almost instantly. Huntress's hatchets actually have to travel, so she's just as bad as Trickster on console, minus the dumb recoil he had. And then you throw in the classic killer problems: no-sound survivors, misleading scratch marks, can't see survivors who are crouching in front of you, survivors are gifted the latency advantage, 5 gens are done effortlessly.

I'm not even getting to use my ability in half these matches. You miss more than you hit, and that's not even going for crazy shots all the time. The game doesn't give you easy window hits because the hatchet hits the window seal for some reason. Tons of loops that Huntress can't throw over, in almost every map.

"But I'm a rank 1 Huntress and I get 4ks EZ all the time." Sure buddy. It's totally not the game gifting you potato survivors all the time. If there's 2 or more survivors in the match who know how to actually play against Huntress, you're done.

These Huntress reworks are gonna be garbage. They're either gonna make her broken, because of the projectile speed add-ons, or maybe not and she's gonna stay garbage.

For people who place Huntress at A and S tier (lmao), why isn't she played in tournament? 🤔 I've felt absolutely powerless in 90% of these matches, and it didn't matter how bad or good I played.

And don't call me Sluzzy just because you disagree with my opinion, because that's how people are using that joke now and I don't find it funny. Keep the killer nerfs coming.

Keep the survivor buffs coming. Keep excusing both those things because of how 2-3 killers perform on average. That's how this game dies.

I don't understand the point of this post, it starts as a post pointing out that console huntress has a bad time due to control scheme and rants into belittling others while saying don't belittle me while saying then just moves onto the huntress rework.

This is just too all over the place. Although I will say the control scheme problems that arise from console can still be helped if they were to give keyboard and mouse support to major consoles

  • Getting hit through the pallets is more of a latency thing and has been around in high frequency since dedicated servers. You can only really hope for good enough ping by both players so you can drop a pallet before they hit you or so the stun registers properly before the latency makes their hit also register

  • Speaking for myself its not,

    now onto more interesting matters

I would like some of that proof against high level squads and also some proof of your inventory as killer since you seem to play nothing but wraith with the same build and use the same nine month old map offering every match that you have a suspicious amount of I would love to see what your killer inventory and hours look like

because for me your existence seems a bit questionable, a person popping up out of nowhere on the forums with 300 posts in 48 hours and videos only dated back 12 days and all the same killer build and map offering is really suspicious

Who said I was going to troll with it in SWF? I am a killer main and say this as someone who played against coordinated, top % PC swfs trying to do break out strats against me. This is the type of strategy that can give the survivors good value and it is something NEW, EXCITING and largely UNEXPLORED. It's completely fair and I think the game is still killer sided against this worst case scenario. again, this is from the killer perspective. If it's hard then killers need to get better until they are ready to handle the survivors who do this. Instead of fixing the breakout bug, I think it would be better to buff Breakout so that it works this way on purpose.

Permanent sabotage was in the game from 1.0.0 to 2.3.0 entire metas of perks coming out around it making it more powerful,

it wasn't fun then it won't be fun now

also show me some proof of being against high skill groups, stuff like a profile with hours on it or a view of your ingame inventory of offerings and addons would suffice my curiosity

No, I mean the organized and efficient SWFs that are using it and making whole game plans / min maxing said game plans are fair. It's not a good perk without investment and coordination but I think it's meta, fair, and a really cool thing in the game when good players try to make the most of it.

That sounds like the worst case scenario and even less fair im just going to drop this since you can't make any actual good points other than it would be funny to troll with in swf instead of actually good for the game and balance

we have permanent sabo with the bugged breakdown and it's fair right now

Its currently "fair" because not everyone knows it exists or is attempting to abuse its outer limits which is most likely the first thing that would happen if it was announced that it was an actual change instead of a bug.

Its been bugged in the game for ~2.5 weeks and has barely even been recognized of course if you see it once in a blue moon as killer or are the only one on a solo queue team with Randoms abusing it, it might seem balanced but that is quickly not going to be the case if the haphazard change is made

I can see the big picture and basing off the grand scheme and past changes to sabotage I'm going to just say no, its not fair and both shouldn't remain and shouldn't be made into an easily abusable perk unless hook quantity increased in maps especially maps like swamp

and while this is all theoretical unless it is tested on something like a ptb im going to stick with my guns and stay with my mindset that its a bad change

  • @TTV_WAWAbyWibWib said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2121081#Comment_2121081

There are other ways to kill survivors than hooking them, and it's still fair.

Im going to stick with my gut feeling on this one, its not fair permanent sabotage has been in the game before and it wasn't fair then, and it certainly won't be fair now that survivors have perks to round out making it even stronger

  • Hooks are way too inconsistent for something like this to be brought back, hooks not being permanently broken except by sacrifice was a design choice made to spare people from being subject to frequent bad map design and generations a perfect example of maps where this just straight up wouldn't be fair are swamp maps, those maps have 2 hooks on the map that are actually accessible and the rest in the corners and edges, if someone even brokedown one of the two hooks major portions of the maps become safe as most of the time your only option for a hook was whatever the nearest one that generated was or no hook at all, unless you want widespread hook increases to compensate for the potentially game breaking buff they shouldn't make a change like this

  • @TTV_WAWAbyWibWib said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/243838/breakdown-isnt-that-bad-in-fact

I think we should take it a step further and buff breakdown to make it work like this without the once per match restriction. It's a fun strategy to have 4 man break down squads with no mither and it's a risky strategy where the killer has a lot of play / ways to ruin your fun.

    "risky strategy"

No thats not really a risky strategy that just sounds unfun like old sabotage was unfun, permanently destroyed hook effects being stacked can easliy wipe out hooks in most maps making it impossible for the killer to hook without basement or just bleeding out survivors who can pick themselves up infinitely

    ................more dots.....

  • Level 1-50 has increasing exp amounts, level 50-99 has the same exp amount they all reward the same amount of shards per xp point though and this is the same for every devotion level

no difference in exp needed between complete devotion level 1 and complete devotion level 2

mathmatically an entire devotion level will get you 25,220 Shards in around 579 games so thats around 44 shards a game, so good luck on the long haul you are going to need it

  • Personally I think base scratch marks are a bit wonky at times but in the grand scheme usually are fine and don't lose matches more than ones own mistakes as killer do

That said I still think that predator as a perk should be buffed to make tracking scratch marks more consistant and overall just make it a better tracking perk

Here is a rework idea I have said multiple times over

Predator: Survivors leave scratch marks at all times, Scratch marks are directional and are parallel to the direction the survivor is moving in, Survivor scratch marks made while running spawn slightly/moderately/considerably closer together and are brighter

  • camping and proxy camping are both too subjective as a topic and is hard to nail down in concrete terms most of the time as everyones personal definition of camping can very in extreme amounts, without having any concrete method to define the parameters of what killers can and can't do and will and won't be punished for its hard to say if they could ever implement a system to punish them properly while still being fair in the grand scheme of things

That's exactly why they need a rework because they have been in the game for 4 years and need to be modernized. They need to be buffed and some need to be nerfed. Myers isn't a really good killer on his own, but an add-on rework will make him more powerful and make some of his add-ons less powerful

You act like modernity is always a good thing, however people who study history and/or religion will tell you this isn't always the case.

Myers only has 1 arguably troublesome addon which is the tombstone piece, everything else is generally balanced in some way shape or form by its downsides whether that downside be more stalking required or giving up an addon slot that you could have used a stronger addon instead for making your other addon have less of a downside, or needing an entire build dedicated to specific addons

  • Myers is special boy, if we remove what makes him unique we lose a piece of dbd history, those addons have been in the game for 4.5 years

sure they could be changed and or nerfed a little big mostly just tombstone piece that could use a slight nerf but just rework them and remove them completely, thats too far

  • Best solution, just use blood warden with 1/4 of the egc bar remaining, they can ds you all they want from then on but its over for them

  • I like him better than before as he feels like he actually has potential now

  • Well it depends on the report type, most reports just don't really matter in the grand scheme or that action that led to them being reported wasn't their intension. But if its a report for something like cheating, that report is more closely monitored, of course most individual reports don't amount to much for smaller offences but if someone gets repeatedly reported for the some minor offence they do get soft banned for periods of time on a case by case basis. But usually if they aren't cheating or exploiting heavily a single report doesn't amount to bans to prevent system abuse.

    1. If you bring a key against a spirit they are probably going to bring even stronger addons to smack you with
    2. you can't see the spirits aura while in their power only the husks aura
  • Yep thats very clearly a hacker, notice how in the top right they also don't have any devotion meaning even if they did grind out all those items it would have been physically impossible for them to do so. Unfortunately this isn't the right place to report it and I have know idea where the link was the last time I reported this type of thing, so I guess the best bet here is I just type @MandyTalk and hope for their guidance to lead you

  • Although personally I would have changed his kit in different ways based on upcoming mechanics

    1. Dream snares and dream pallets can be disarmed while affected by the alarm clocks 30 seconds of sleep immunity, basically you can see the traps really well and disable them during this time
    2. Make dream snares and pallets have 8 and 10 tokens again but keep the slowdown while placing them
    3. Change how falling asleep works to have 40 points to fall asleep and gain 1 point per second in freddys terror radius, 0.33 points per second outside of his terror radius, and instantly fall asleep on hit
    4. Make his dream pallets the basekit power so you have to give up addon slots for snares

Overall this would make putting survivors asleep a more active effort and allow survivors to disarm his dream traps set up ahead of time at stronger loops using the alarm clocks while still giving him resources to set up ahead of time
