Use iron will and walk random directions or do fake outs..qaq and dance with me are also very helpful..so yeah..
remember the first post of mine u responded to? lmao. I know u need perks to have a chance against her in chase thanks for clarifying that

Yeah..its like moving to obvious places makes it easy for her to catch you *honk honk*
doesnt matter where u move, good spirits dont just guess the obvious places, they track your sound and scratch marks and feel for collision.

That's so false it hurts
it's really not. a chase is so one-sided against her it's hilarious, how people claim to counter her is even better. "just move unpredictably and hope she's bad lol"

If Blindness is actually that detrimental to your Survivor gameplay, I would try practicing Survivor more. Auras are aren't a given for survivors, they're an added benefit. You can play perfectly fine without them.
And, seriously, what is the difference between a high mobility killer with ruin+thrill right now? From the Killer point of view, he would protect the totem(s) either way. Thrill as it is right now just doesn't let the Killer know which totem is which.
Also, to put it into perspective; Devour's risk/reward looks like 10,000/100. I don't think it's very fair as it stands from the Killer's perspective. Due to how easily a totem can be destroyed paired with the fact that the perk does literally nothing until 2 stacks, it's not a balanced risk/reward.
it's not my gameplay that I'm concerned about when it comes to permanent blindness, it's the gameplay of solo survivors and newer players.
obviously protecting 1 totem would be a lot easier than protecting 2, the chance to coordinate cleansing both totems at the same time would be lost as well. it would be way too feasible to keep the hex you want up with a hexless thrill.
and considering the exposed and mori potential of devour, I'm fine with those odds.
like I said, totem spawns just need to be improved. I shouldn't be able to spawn inside shack for there to be to be a hex on the windowless side of it 2 feet away from me
-
sounds awful, no thanks
-
dead hard. it can save my life sometimes and other times I go down yelling "I HIT E"
-
have to disagree. in what way would it be fair to cause permanent blindness? a permanent status affect of any kind would be dumb (except hemorrhage, that is useless). I dont even want to think about facing a ruin and thrill high mobility killer, their totem would literally never go down. devour deserves to stay as high risk/high reward as it now, trying to make it low or medium risk/high reward wouldn't be balanced due to the power it can give you.
totem spawns just need to be improved, honestly
-
fun to play because she has no counterplay without perks
awful and boring to face because she has no counterplay without perks
-
if someone is on a hook and u move more than 32 meters away from it, make your choice does light up in the corner of your screen, telling you it will activate if they get unhooked. once it does you'll know you cant move much further away before you can't teleport back
-
exhaustion definitely shouldn't be one of those rewards.
-
I wanna default dance whenever I stun the killer

Honestly, I feel they can bring the directional phasing sound back.
They still can't hear it in the terror radius.
And I got really good with her BEFORE it was removed, I really felt she never needed a buff. This is an honest to god truth, but noone agrees with me. I played her soooo much upon release and learned how to use her power quickly, the buff made her feel like an unstoppable beast to me.
Sorry, about the Burn, maybe something to do with her Husk? Or if you can manage to burn her invisible body, that might be interesting 🤔
you're honestly not wrong. it shouldve been nondirectional phasing or you can't hear the phase sound in terror radius, not both
-
and it's connected to shack LOL. yeah that was pretty bs

What part of the moment the game started to the end of the first chase was like..a minute was unclear? With only three people to do gens and one was looting the basement , plus some of the gens being done were spread out crazily , there is no defending that..
"one was in chase for maybe a minute tops if that"
that is bad espec for an omega blink nurse. your only chance to beat a nurse with this build is to do what they did, get gens done as fast as possible. consider addressing the unbalanced things on the killer side that no one enjoys facing before gen speeds, otherwise all games facing these aids builds (a majority of them already are like this) will end in a loss for the survivors
-
hi, I only read the title.
no
-
that is literally no one else's fault but the nurse. in theory yes gens can get done that quickly but only if the killer is really bad and applying 0 preasure, and to that I say what do u expect?
-
there is a lot of dumb ######### that shouldn't exist
-
literally just track your hooks. right now it's as simple as not picking up the guy who was on the hook less than a minute ago. dumb it down any further and ds would never go off unless the killer is actually rank 20

Yesterday I went into the killer's stream after the match (they had TTV in their name) and they were like "Oh yeah, I DC'd because I don't play Haddonfield. To each their own I guess.
I can't blame them lol
-
ds doesnt need to be a skillcheck anymore don't @ me!!!!
-
yeah it wouldn't come near to competitng with the current meta perks. it would only benefit newer players
-
with the potential it has, should be ultra rare tbh
-
best part is instead of actually addressing that window and bs windows like it, they do an unnecessary change to fast vaults to keep people from "abusing" them. but guess what! u can still fast vault that window from both sides!

Killers shouldn't need perks to outplay Survivors. That puts you in WAY more trouble.
they don't. u have several methods in the base game to do that, such as learning how to run structures, when to slug, mindgaming etc

No, they shouldn't. They almost confirm a de-pip as Killer. Fair trade.
lmao ok.

If you could beat Killers without perks, perks would make Survivors outright unkillable. This is incredibly narrow thinking, balance-wise.
you can beat every other killer in the game that isn't nurse without perks because they have to deal with survivor's defenses (pallets and windows). what r u on about lol. it's not even about beating them tho, it's about having a say in how a chase goes.
-
@BBQnDemogorgon said:
Moris should stay as they are. Killers rarely use them as is. Adding restrictions/nerfing would only lessen them even more.
Normally wouldn't be a big deal but the animations are cool they shouldn't become super rare to ever see.
they definitely should be looked at. nothing should give a player so much power that it makes every game a cakewalk
-
she has no counter play without perks, they shouldn't be a requirement to outplay a killer.
-
oh boy
-
I'm with u. red ranks is like being stuck in a desert for weeks and rank reset is a cup of ice water

use your head. that person was literally just on the hook.

I gave counters that are within base game potential.
gen tapping isn't a counter to prayer beads! running or walking in a weird way isn't a counter to spirit (sound, collision, coming out of phase when scratch marks stop)! and what is your base game counter to Insta heals again? play certain killers?

You only mentioned them once I brought up the fact that you only mentioned things from one side, if Wraith is good at choosing the correct path you won’t see him which makes me think you’ve never faced a good Wraith. Perk are in the game to boost you where you fail, if you don’t like my post then why don’t you address all of it?
hey bud, remember when I said things should have counters in base game? yeah that doesn't just apply to one side. if I say the counters u list are bad because perks shouldn't be the only definitive counterplay, u can believe I mean that for everything u list perks for as the only means of counter play. no matter how good the wraith is, he has to wait to hit u because of decloaking. if I'm near a pallet I'm safe if I don't see/hear him coming. if I'm not, I'll be on a gen in the open so that I will. also if u need a perk to help u fail where u can't win in the first place, that's poor game design and should be addressed
-
@GrootDude said:

You must hate Wraith since he can easily get a free hit on you, prayer beads still has a counter and I honestly find it funny how you’ve only mentioned things survivors need to counter an uncounterable.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/630276#Comment_630276
You don’t need perks to counter any of this, what is the point of perks if not to boost you where you fail?
fun fact, u can see wraith! and id be here all day if I had to address how terrible and perk reliant your counters for keys and Insta-heals were too. nice try tho
-
I mean, without them you still wouldnt know what to expect in a game, there would still be strong builds and players. and I guess it's just me but I don't typically have fun facing an ebony nurse lol
-
@GrootDude said:

Spirit and Prayer beads still have counter play, I gave you examples it is your choice not to use them.
If you don’t want to play immersed then you can still loop if you’re good at it.
the counter u listed for prayer beads was to gen tap and give them a free hit anyways. that's a counter for getting grabbed (a pretty bad one nonetheless), what's the counter to prayer beads in the base game?
as I said, it's entirely the spirit's fault if she can't figure out where u are, if it's a good spirit, 95% of the time she isnt gonna mess up unless u have iron will
-
spirit and prayerbeads don't have counterplay in base game. perks shouldn't be the only definitive counterplay to something. a chase against a spirit is entirely up to her messing up, as she has all the telltales in the world, that aren't sight, to pinpoint your location (sound, scratch marks, collision), while the survivor has nothing. my favorite is your counter to moris is just hide 4head! you're basically saying they're so blatantly strong your best bet is to not get found in the first place
-
yeah I dont think I was involved in that conversation, good to see u learning and owning up to your mistakes tho ☺
-
I hate plunderer's and ace in the hole
-
yeah ######### perks that synergize well !
-
sounds like a scam lol

Old Legion with exploits being fixed
exploits were only part of the problem with old legion. he was still a poorly designed killer offering 0 counterplay

wayyy too many people here that want old legion back

I don't think you play much in red ranks. 3 blink range nurse, insta saw billy or high-end Spirit is usually the norm anyways whether the survivors be SWF or not.
swf exists at all ranks believe it or not
also that's why it was a secondary argument, people do it anyways. an increase in lobby dodging is the main reason why that shouldn't be implemented
-
@[Deleted User] said:

Think killers should deserve to know if the survivors are using a third party program to communicate or not.
If I knew it was a SWF for example, I wouldn't use a stealth killer. Or a hex build.
you're one of your minority that would stay to play. most people would dodge and we have enough of that. not to mention most people who would stay would just play 3 blink with range nurse, becoming a boring match for everybody
