Counterplay to a good SWF team? None.
-
I think the current sound is fine. You can still hear the sparks quite clearly. Previous one sounded like starting a car and the car refusing to start.
-
Holy hell the size. TL:DR please.

Do you know how overpowered the killers are and you really want to remove all the safe pallets? Apparently you haven't play Survivor long enough to actually understand how overpowered killers are
Let's be honest here. Anyone can use a safe pallet. It doesn't show a survivor's skill in looping the killer. Safe pallets are crutches and needs to be reduced.
-
E to outplay.
The best thing about exhaustion add-ons is you don't have to worry about dead hard. But huntress' is overtuned and doesn't fit the current state of the game.
-
As a survivor teammate I'm requesting you to NOT die on hook if the killer is camping. The other 3 survivors will get 120s and that's all we would need to finish gens uncontested. I would do the same even if I get facecamped. The killer will depip regardless and as will the facecamped survivor.
And if we stop rewarding the killer for camping, they'll learn the way to play eventually.
-
Also survivors need a stamina system because they shouldnt be able to run forever. Also they should occasionally slip and fall down to the ground.
-
Edit out their names before the mods do it. It'll be considered naming and shaming.
Also it is bannable.
-
There was an add-on for survivor's medkit as well. It was called refined serum and it moderately increases the speed of the survivor for 20 seconds.
-
Probably disabling the hag traps for 10s instead of destroying it or hag traps should shine bright if it's hit by a flashlight for every survivor to see.
Hag is a very strong killer if played right and leaving her with no counterplay except to crouch might make her go over the edge and into nurse/spirit category.

Has there been some type of teaser to chapter 18?
Nope. Nothing. M'Cote said they are aiming for atleast 2 original chapters per year. Doesn't mean the next one would be licensed even though we only had one licensed character this year so far.

You can see the difference between Myers and killers more recently like Oni who sucks up blood until the metre is full, and THEN he can choose to keep the ability or activate it whenever he needs. Myers needs to go through the process of stalking, 99-ing and making sure it actually gets to 99 (some times it goes backwards... probably due to the ping/server) and then having to stalk again to activate it. it's super tedious but idk how they could implement a system like that. Ghost Face has the same thing except it works in a slightly different way, and his is fine the way it is since it's single target rather than global. It's an outdated mechanic that needs some love.
Let's not forget that both ghostface and oni can charge their power infinite times.
-
It isn't as easy as you think. The devs need to consider every possibility that might happen in regards to balance and general gameplay and every way the players will try and trick the system and discuss it and come up with several iterations and test it rigorously before they implement it into the game. Also the possible bugs that this system might introduce needs to be considered.

Well, actually yeah if it was optional it would be nice and cool if the killer could hear. Toxicity would not be as high too. Although I worry for the younger audiences or mentally unstable people who still decide to use it.
if the killer can hear it, toxicity will rise to an all time high.

My apologies if this has been discussed before but I was just looking up the exact math for Virgo's Jar of Salty Lips. The extra 3% chance to escape from the hook just doesn't really make it seem worthy of being a rare addon in my own personable opinion. When you factor in deliverance being a perk readily available that many survivors use, I find Virgo's jar a bit wasteful of an addon. I understand that it does stack but even if every survivor decided to use it a maximum chance of 15% on unhook without the help of Ace's perks seems so disappointing. Does anybody else share this opinion or have any other insight to excuse the measly luck it actually provides?
Don't apologize for a repeat discussion. There's literally hundreds of "Ruin undying OP" out there. You'll be fine :)
-
I think the devs set difficulty bsaed on the complexity of their ability. Freddy and doctor have a lot going on with their power that it's "hard" for a new player to understand. Billy's just chainsaw go brr..
-
ORMOND! LEH' GOOOOO!
I don't play mobile. Which is why I'm gonna vote for ormond :)
-
Are you certain that you wouldn't have been able to do it with oni? Oni functions pretty much like myers and if you can M1 a survivor with myers you can surely do it with oni. You pretty much get power passively with oni after the first hit (no need to stop and stalk) and his power is far superior than myers' just because of the fact that it gives him unprecedented map pressure.
-
To be more precise, My friend said that his brother said that he saw a content creator that said that the Devs said that you can play the game on 4K 60 FPS.

Is it busted or just a little more fair? With the current killer meta, I would say it is a little more fair in this case, not really busted.
What about the DS, UB and DH meta on 4 survivors? Have you considered that? Or the possibility of survivors running detectives hunch? Ruin and undying was made to be a bandaid for gen speeds and bad totem spots just like how DS was supposedly meant to address tunneling.
Ormond is one of the worst maps to ever exist and it will and should get balanced when it's graphically updated.

3 weeks after PTB. So it should be on 20th

Sure. After it doesn't punish fair killers for not tunneling.

Demo really needs help with his teleporting ability. It isn't as scary as it could be.

If you're trying to loop someone around a where you know there's a totem and you know the killer has Undying, that wouldn't be really optimal strategy, would it? I think I'd be looking for a better place to loop at, but that's just me.
- You can never know for sure whether a killer has undying or not early on. The totem that you broke could have been a devour hope.
- As a survivor you won't know that there's a totem at a loop until you actually get there and at that point its too late.
- You don't get to choose which loop you want to use to loop the killer all the time. It depends on which direction the killer pushes you.

It's also bugged so you get the full 315 points every time you stop recovering. So you can just spam click your M1 while downed and fill out Survivial in seconds.
Now delete it before the Devs see it. Let's keep it between ourselves 😋

Do totems when the killer is a distance away from you. The aura readings don't matter when they can't cross the map in time, even when they see you. If you're doing a totem right under a killer's nose, you're asking to get smacked, Undying or no.
Do totems when the killer is involved in a chase and otherwise occupied, and do it obviously when they're not right on top of you (especially against higher mobility killers). Nearly no killer will peel off of a chase -- especially if someone is injured they're chasing -- to go after you. Bond and Empathy (commonly run perks) -- or simply paying attention to the survivor icons on your screen -- are going to let you know when that's the case.
Do totems when the killer isn't looking towards you. How will you know when that is? Considering it's more likely than not rhat the killer isn't looking at you (the maps are big and there's any number of ways they could be looking instead) -- and if you're running a common perk like Spine Chill, you'll definitely know if that's the case -- then your aura won't even be seen.
That's three pretty simple ways to do a totem easily without an issue. As survivor, it's what I do if I suspect or know Undying is up. As a killer, I suspect it's how totems are still broken in under a minute regularly even if I'm running Undying.
Now imagine if the totem was at a mindgameable loop. That's free info.

Where's the buff that he should get in return?
Besides giving survivors a noise notification when he scopes in doesn't help. He can fire quicker than you could react.

I know, I have been on the receiving end and it sucks to let yourself die slowly, but it prevents others from dying the same way for the most part. Besides it doesn't happen often.
Camping is very prevalent in green ranks but not so much in red ranks. Happens, but nowhere as close as in green or even yellow.
-
Legend has it that the Heavenly Light of God will only be visible to pure souls whose hearts and minds completely devoid of toxicity.
It's a map addon.
-
Yeah but the person on the hook will have a boring experience being able to do nothing and depip. Imagine if it happens 3 times in a row.

Really?
'We decided to put a timer on Decisive Strike as one of the solutions to Decisive Strike being used too often, we tried 2 minutes internally and found that players were able to use DS a long time after being unhooked, where it no longer serves the purpose to protect you from being tunneled/ farmed'

No reason to nerf freddy. I assume some SWF group actually lost a player 1 in 10 games, and it was to freddy, so now the game needs to be nerfed so they can go back to winning 10 out of 10 games.
If the game is strictly balanced around SWF, then no one will play survivor. Not even the SWF group.

Ph change great? Yeah not really, it's like a middle finger to PH mains
I don't know about that. He's still the same old pyramid head with faster PoTD cooldown. His primary issue was insta M1 while using rites of judgment and it's still there
-
He needs a rework that gives him something in return. Much like pyramid head.

I feel like the devs are really missing out with Kyf. They should give us more freedom as in 2 killers, customize how many gens, maybe even adjust power cooldowns just to make it more fun. Right now, KYF just feels bland.
2 killers would cause issues and bugs with the game.
-
Repressed alliance. Denies nerfed pop and saves 18% ruin regression. Useful if you need to heal each other or go for a save.
-
In all the time I've played this game I've never had bamboozle feel oppressive. For now I feel bamboozle is fine but let's see how reworked maps play out before they nerf bamboozle.
If the issue is prevalent then yeah it can get nerfed but why fix something that isn't broken yet.

Thats a load of crap. If it was invincibility that wpuld mean you actually have to hit the little box every time. Plus it is only situational as I have it equipped and in the 2 months ive equipped it, ive actually used it only 5 times and missed 4 times. So if its "invincibility" then it would be automatic. Majority of the players you play against use it and I'm sure you wont know cause they miss it every time.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1674515#Comment_1674515
Quit complaining cause you got outsmarted. Like seriously.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1674885#Comment_1674885
You are asking to take away a survivors chance at surviving tunneled I used DS for 2 months and rarely used it and then I took it off. And holy he'll. The tunneling, bruh. Every match ive been in, I get hounded. As soon as I'm off the hook, here's the killer chasing me till I'm down again or hitting me right off the hook. Grow up dude. You aren't entitled to the kill, especially if you tunnel.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1674852#Comment_1674852
Again, nah, bruh. The killers can easily manipulate these kind of debuffs to DS...
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1674304#Comment_1674304
Do you know how to counter locker, DS? Swing your weapon at it. Of that doesn't work, insidious is great as you can go around the corner and hide.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1674281#Comment_1674281
I run into borrowed time in every match, bruh. As both survivors and killers...
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/197298/whats-your-view-on-ds
And dude..... You can't get DS'ed out of nowhere.... Its impossible because you hooked the person..... So you know who has the capability.....
I love how when someone gives you a valid counter point to try and have a meaningful conversation and you're like 'git gud and stop complaining' lmao. Thats the sign of defeat in an argument and that's how kids react when they lose.
So yeah..see you in the fog. With your DS.
-
He's the best killer that the devs have designed after a long time and is fun to play as and against.
-
I usually struggle if no one is coming for me.
-
@HEX_MalusGrey said:
You need to remember who you have hooked. Short term memory of one minute. That's the whole counterplay, nothing more.
You're missing the whole point here. DS timer starts when the survivor gets unhooked and not when he gets hooked. And you could have hooked 2 other people before that person gets unhooked. And that unhooked person will have DS and just rescue others and they all will have DS and they will force DS by going inside locker. Breaks killer's momentum. And DS is advertised as anti tunnel and not anti momentum by the devs themselves.
If you play killer you'll know that you get hit by DS even though you didn't tunnel. You can't ignore someone who just does gens in front of you with a whole minute of immunity. If you slug, he'll have UB and SG and just run away. Also survivors can force DS by sitting on gens or medium vaulting windows and you grab them at the heat of the moment. The person with DS can bodyblock the killer who is busy chasing another survivor. If you hit him, you lose distance. If you dont, you still lose distance. Lose lose situation. DS has so many flaws that extends beyond remembering who has DS.
Even the devs get hit by DS and wonder when they hooked that survivor. But since they don't play competitively they won't really mind that. But for high rank killers, eating one DS would massively hurt them.
-
Devs said they will be looking to make grabs more consistent. It's a difficult issue to fix without hurting one side or the other.
-
Lets not forget that if the survivors are on tier 3 they cannot tap the gen.
-
Let me get this straight. Blood favor is a hex perk that has a cooldown and only works on basic attacks and has a small radius and is only active for a small duration and prevents survivor from wasting pallets.
What.. The.. F...
