First two actually seem pretty good, though Madness should regress 25% like Pop.
Discourage is too OP in both the debuff and the duration. Stacked with other perks would make it impossible to do your objective as a survivor.

That makes no sense in reality. Most killer perks are trash. Even add-ons do not more but a well needed improvement in the power because they are all way to weak without them. On the other hand, the endless sencon chance perks survivors have can carry their games with zero effort. A single DS can be the difference of 1 or 3 escaping and you don’t even need to tunnel for that to happen.
You must be absolutely terrible if you don't think you can play Killer without addons and even struggle then to secure kills.

Wanna know what the counter is to NOED? Find the totem then save the guy on the hook. How is that soooo hard?
Wanna know something else? Adrenaline gives a free health state completely for free so NOED basically just nullifies it. Both perks are exactly the same.
Another counter to NOED? Don't get caught.
Your solution is to not get caught. Oh wow, if only Survivors thought of that!

That's still a guarenteed win. 3 gens pop in 80 seconds, assuming all 3 survivors were split. The Survivor on the hook still has 40 seconds on the hook, 25-30 after factoring in time to find generators. the 3 survivors can finish a gen together in about 36 seconds, so they have MORE than enough time, since the Killer will have to reach the generator theyre on, assuming he picks the right one. If he guesses right, the two survivors not being chased can finish the final generator in about 45 seconds. Since the Killer is camping, he likely is fairly bad in chases, so it's entirely feasible that the two survivors can finish the last gen in the time it takes the last survivor to go down. Then the last survivor can pop their adrenaline/DH to reach a pallet or lose the killer, thus all three survivors get out.
On what planet does this happen in a random solo survivor game? Puh-lease.
-
Freddy and Spirit.
If it's a Freddy with mori and jumprope I'll just kill myself on hook and have fun in the next game. Solo queue as survivor is like a minute tops, I don't need that agony after work.
-
Jeff and Tapp. Tapp is P3, both have all perks and all cosmetics. P3 Tapp is almost invisible, but Jeff with cosmetics looks suave and has awesome animations. Downside is I run iron-will in every build on him.

So in November they released stats showing every single killer had a killrate over 60% in red ranks.
Since then they nerfed ruin (big killer nerf), toolboxes (survivor nerf), will reduce map sizes (big survivor nerf), halve the bonus for hitting great skillchecks (survivor nerf) and increase the penalty for working on generators together (survivor nerf).
What do you think Killer redrank killrate should be ? 75%? 80%? Maybe let survivors survive 1 in 10 games, so 90%?
-
So to recap the current sentiment.
Totems must spawn far from Survivors at the start of a trial and out of their LOS.
Totems must spawn far from Generators and out of their LOS (or non-hex only).
Totems must spawn in hidden areas (not in the open like they can on Disturbed Ward)
Totems must spawn in more places so that Survivors can not memorise where they spawn.
Maps are too big and must be smaller so that less-mobile Killers can stand a better chance so Devs must remove map tiles and shrink the map.
Then, if the devs do not manage to fulfill of this criteria...

Like i've said this game needs new designers, new preogrammers, because its unplayable.
-
It's agonising being in solo queue honestly, I played tonight and deranked from 4 to 6. ######### team after ######### team.
-
Yes it's entirely possible. There was a wallhack thing going around in 2018 that has made a comeback recently (along with noclip). Won't link to any but a quick youtube search of wallhack dbd will give you the most common one (starts with an E).
In all my time playing I've only faced a small handful of obvious wallhackers and they're usually Russians or people with existing VAC bans.
-
Rank 4 at the moment and I think it's pretty bad. I rarely ever play Killer (hover from 10-15) but this might entice me to since in most of my games people can't loop the killers or find totems. This'll cut back me survability and lower my chances of escaping further. As it stands, I escape maybe 3/10 of my games.
-
If I'm being obliterated by survivors (This happens probably 1/10 games) then I'll just protect 3 Gens and if they try and run from the gens as a distraction I'll hit them and go back. They can go heal somewhere else I don't care.
I go in with a few goals.
1) 4 BBQ stacks
2) Don't let them escape.
3) Don't let them open the doors.
4) Don't let them do 5 Generators.
That's my priority list. I play Hag, Spirit and Trapper for the most part and I don't always get 4K, or 3K. Which is fine. With Spirit I can rapidly take control of the game, but with Hag and Trapper I more strategically push Survivors away from 3 Generators and let them create a big deadzone around it. If I can get them to use the pallets early around my 3 Gens then I'm almost guarenteed a 3K.
With the recent new Tome release I had quite a few morons run at the hook to get their WGLF 4 stack so very easy games for me as the Killer. However, now that people are looting chests with Plunders I'm getting a few double hatch escapes when I'm playing Hag or Trapper. They don't usually get to 1 Gen remaining if I'm on Spirit.
I think you need to set yourself some more achievable goals, realise that losing 1 Generator isn't the end of the game and you can always turn it around. Hell, I've 4Ked because they got cocky at the exit gates before.
-
Yep. Loaded into The Game last night and someone DC'ed about 5 seconds in. We were all killed as the killer played extra hard as to not depip.
-
Tbh if a Killer is getting looped for a while I assume theyre trash and run NOED so I cleanse all the totems. Most of the time it's the right call.

What would be considered cringy? I think that's exactly what a cringe moment is.
When you watch something that makes you very uncomfortable. If you'd shudder, wince or recoil from a situation it could be viewed as a cringeworthy situation.
If you get a physical reaction from a Game Developer incorrectly stating that Leader affects Gen speeds then I would say you have a low tolerance. As it is, Leader affected Gen speeds from the Launch of the game in 2016 until January 2019.
-
@Brucecastro81 said:
The part when Ethan says that Leader affects gens was so cringe and he also fed the "Devs don't play their game" meme, honestly
He said something factually incorrect during a livestream. I don't see how this was cringy unless you have very low tolerance.
-
My build on Hag atm is Ruin, Surveillance, Nurse's and Sloppy Butcher. I just protect 3 gens ferociously and there's nothing they can do about it. Legion could run the same build easily.
-
I've got all of the Survivor ones (all easy except David & Laurie). I play far less Killer but I got Freddy before his rework at level 10 which was really painful, Hag and Wraith.
I've been 1 emblem off getting it on Spirit a couple of times but I no longer play her.
This was my Wraith Adept postmatch,

With how they're handling the game, they don't deserve the courtesy of constructive criticism. Or have people forgotten? They've ignored basically all of it. So just sling poop at this point, who cares. They get no pity from me. They dug this hole, now don't expect a hand out of the s-pile.
Well get banned then.
-
I like playing as Freddy but going against most people who use him is so boring. They always play the same build with the sole intent on the dragging the game out excruciatingly long.
Having said that, I played an amazing game against a Freddy on Grim Pantry the other day and he schooled us pretty hard and played very aggressively. I think we got 1 gen done in the end.
I have sadly played more games than I can care to count where a Forever Freddy sets up a 3 gen situation and drags the game out for far too long.
-
No I never write 'ez' for anything.
If all 4 of us get out because the Killer is outmatched then I usually try and offer some advice. Generally to be met with a series of insults from the Killer.
I still do this though as not every Killer is incapable of taking advice.
-
When I play Killer I tunnel the ever living ######### out of the guy who unhooks in my face, unless its by the open exit gate in which case I'm sorry but they're dying.
-
How did you know the quality of their items before the game started?
-
I was watching my friend stream last night and they were playing a rank 17 Killer.
They were put against Rank 8-11 Survivors and their Killer queue time was less than 10 seconds.
I remember Rank 20-12 Killer queues being quite long so this is pretty alarming.
edit: On Steam
-
BT is fine as it is. Stop camping the hook or go for the person unhooking in your face.
-
But I've seen people ######### if they get a 28K + BBQ if the last guy gets out via hatch.
They just wanna 4K cause that's the goal they set themselves as a Killer. But if all Killers 4K all the time no survivors would play.

Read the discussion. I said to reply and i'll explain why the survivors will get their fair shake. I'm a survivor main, and I believe the games are too easy. Killers lose every game, even top tier killers. Ask questions and create a discussion instead of saying stupid #########.

######### kind of logic is that?
-
No, I find that I've often had the Killer dumped on me by players who run Bond so I'd rather not be potentially lumped in with them.
-
Lately I've found it to be toxic killers. My randoms have been pretty good, even had a killer accuse us of being SWF a couple of times.
-
You went into a game at Red ranks with a Perkless trapper and you were walking around setting traps instead of putting any pressure, yet you are surprised they can do generators?

This is very true; I don't like the way he likes to regularly insult and deride members of the community for very real concerns. And he isn't the only one I've come across doing that.
Don't get me wrong, some people complain in the worst way, but his comments at times are just...oof. If a big company like Blizzard had someone in charge of development for one of their games say things similar to him, they'd have been lambasted and rightly lost a ton of PR/potential customers in an instant.
Oh really? Blizzard? The company that said 'You think you do, but you don't.' The one that got up on stage and said 'You guys have mobile phones right?'
Yet Blizzard games are still immensely popular.

Add a competitive mode.. here's how I would like it to work. 2 player queues for the survivor side. Killer gets a single perk ban per game to use against the survivors. Gen speed is slowed down, and perks will be limited on what you can use. Sounds like I'm killer sided? No, just want to make a balanced game. Survivors will get there fair shake in the long run, and i'll explain further to your replies. Thoughts on a mode like this?
So... can't play with more than 1 friend,
Killer can take away 1 of my perks,
Repairing generators takes longer,
I'll be limited on which perks I can bring,
and to top it all off there's no reward for this gamemode?
However you assure me that you are not Killer sided (based on...?) and that this balance things out.
I just don't see how you get to that conclusion.
-
Fine with the Ruin change. Add 20 seconds for gen completion.
Your toolbox change would just gut them entirely. Doesn't take very long to clean a dull totem and there's only a maximum of 5 of them anyway.
-
where'd you see this?

I actually did a little personal experiment. I counted the amount of mori's I saw from the time Stranger Things dropped to December 1st. I had 2 Ebony's and a Cypress. They really aren't as common as people think.
I've had the opposite experience with keys. I have had a total of 22 people escape thru the hatch using a key. Probably inflated due to the Archives wanting you to run Plunderer's.
That being said, I agree. Something needs to be done about both.
I play on EU Rank 1-4 and see Moris probably every 5 games on average. Most of the time it's an Ebony.
Rarely see keys, unless theyre looted in game.

More baseline perks to unlock, and a revamp of all the garbage basic perks (Monstrous Shrine, Slippery Meat, etc.)

Hag for me
BBQ/Ruin/Sloppy or Franklins and M&A/Pop

I noticed it glitched in 1 of my games earlier. Killer who was put in my Lobby dodged, new Killer was a rank 16 against 4 red rank survivors.
Two games later another Killer lobby dodged and it put a rank 18 Killer against 4 red/purple rank survivors.
-
Nope. Most of the cosmetics blowed.
-
The Emblem system is stupid so a lot of Red Rank worthy killers are stuck in Purple rank, and Purple rank killers stuck in Green.
They should revert the emblem changes they made a few months ago.

Its way different in DBD's case.
I mean, look at how many new players think killers are incredibly OP and we know how the wind blows at red ranks.
What do you mean by 'at red ranks'?
Don't the Developer stats released 1 month ago show that Red Rank Killers have an even higher killrate than other ranks? Plus all the games where Survivors D/C aren't included.
@Peanits said:
Stats are back at last! We've taken some time to gather some data and make some fancy graphs for your viewing pleasure. Be sure to let us know if you'd like to see more regular stat releases in the future! Since it has been a while since we last shared stats, these graphs show data from the past three months unless otherwise stated. Please keep in mind that numbers are not everything; there are a whole bunch of factors that could influence these numbers.
Note: If you're having trouble viewing the charts, clicking on them will open a larger version.
Killer power vs. popularity
Starting off with how frequently killers are played compared to how well they tend to do on average. A 50% kill rate would be the equivalent of two survivors dying and two survivors escaping.

Maps
We went ahead and checked which three maps are safest and which three are the most dangerous.

Mid-chapter 3.3.0: Outcome
The Nurse was changed in the last mid-chapter patch, and we've been keeping an eye on her performance since then. Below, we've listed her performance on PC before and after the changes, both in all ranks and in red ranks. Like the charts above, the numbers shown here are her kill rates (where 50% means two survivors escape and two die).
-
Maybe they had a daily where they had to escape with a certain character?
My playstyle changes considerably depending on my dailies.
-
If I die first I just leave the Lobby in almost all cases unless it's EGC so I won't say GG.
If I die last, escape at the end or play Killer I say GG or GG ######### matchmaking if I get put against a new Killer.
-
Depends on my teammates. If they deleted Urban Evasion, Self Care and Spine Chill I would say yes.
I want to break down and cry when I'm facing a Legion with Thana and Sloppy and my teammates are off in Timbuktu self-healing for what seems like the extended LOTR trilogy worth of time. Throw in Ruin or Discordance and we'll be lucky if we get 1 done.
-
This is possibly the stupidest idea I have read on these forums.

I'm rank 1 survivor and I play solo its really not bad at all. Only sucks when you get a toxic killer or de-ranking teammates. Also just saying buff this and nerf that without giving any real constructive ideas doesn't help
Also I strongly doubt that you're a rank 1 solo survivor.
