1/22 chance of it working

Haven't seen it in weeks.

In my experience one way to mitigate this is to turn cross play off it seems to give me better ranks(I'm a red rank killer going against green and yellow ranks turned on)
I have had crossplay turned off for months

Not trash, but not super strong either. He is mid-ish tier.

Well, at least someone is happy about the changes. I don't think these changes will help him at all honestly. Maybe in some situations (very uncommon ones), but I think he is still the worst killer in the game. They were very lazy changes and I would be willing to bet that Clown is just going to be forgotten about. Next up for killer changes is freddy, I just hope they don't nerf him. He just needs some changes to make him more skillful to play.
-
Deathslinger because of his insta scope. I know he is a decent or above average killer at best, but I just hate how he is able to instantly quickscope me.

Depends.
Autohaven is a solid 25-30 FPS on good days, but Ormond is 20 FPS on a good day.

That hit me hard

Mine's always been the same tbh. I never had a whole lot of performance issues it usually maintains 60 fps well enough.
There were exceptions with Freddy's dream world though that used to cause issues, and with the UI/skill checks. The skill checks have always been laggy to a frustrating degree.
Funny thing though, with that new UI the skill checks don't lag anymore. I hate the UI placements, but I LOVE that part.
Yeah, I noticed that as well on the PTB. It was such a simple but appreciated change.

I comment because this is a tired issue, and I feel driven to comment on it every time. Totems are objectives. If I had my way NOED would work like this (to truly drive the point home):
- NOED activates exactly as it does now.
- Anyone who has not cleansed at least one Totem is now Exposed.
- The exit gates are blocked to anyone who has not cleansed a Totem.
- Cleansing the now lit NOED Totem will end all effects.
Totems were intended as additional objectives by the DEV so that Gen-Rush wasn't the end all be all. I think they should step UP how many Totems hit end game (and hit hard) just like NOED to drive the point home. Do Bones.
The problem rests mainly with solo queue. Survivors can't just do bones while solo queueing because it is hard to keep track of totems and know who has done any. A map would help, but no one really uses them. I like Otzdarva's proposed changes a little better. He mentioned that the killer should have an insta down for each individual survivor hooked or remaining totems left in the trial.

Let me know what you think!
Alright, I did try the yellow windstorm addon a few games on Autohaven and Macmillan only (I sent myself there). I came to the conclusion that the yellow addon was just slightly underwhelming. I felt like I was speeding up when cloaking, but it wasn't really enough to move around the map.

Ok; I read your post AGAIN to see if I missed something. I didn't. I disagree with you. Your complaint about NOED is the same song and dance I've read many times before. Hence, why I made the joke about being basic. Nobody forces you to do Totems. Don't do them. I play Solo Que myself. I do Totems. Do you want to know how often NOED has been a problem for me? You probably don't, but I'll tell you; it isn't a problem. Totems are objectives. They have always been objectives. The DEV clearly want people to do them.
You have a choice, and you reap the whirlwind of those choices. If anything I'd make NOED worse to reinforce and make it crystal clear that people should be killing Totems. The funny thing is that prior to Oppression+Pop being the flavor of the day, Undying+Ruin all but killed NOED outside the potato Ranks. It turns out people can, and do, kill Totems fast and efficiently. NOED is just flaring back up in to common use again because some Survivors are CHOOSING not to do Totems again. Go figure.
If my complaint about NOED is something you have heard many times before then why even bother commenting?
All I am saying is that NOED should be changed. I don't think that survivors should have to cleanse totems for no reason 90% of games only for the small chance of the killer having NOED. It is a bigger problem in solo queue and just because you don't have a problem with it because you cleanse totems doesn't mean everyone else does the same. It also doesn't make sense that totems should be made as a secondary objective made just for NOED either unless of course.
If the devs want people to actually do totems, then they should think of a better way to encourage people to cleanse them other than the killer possibly using NOED or hex perks as an excuse because not everyone uses them all the time.

Maybe not removed entirely, just nerfed to a point where it's balanced.

I've always been a fan of Otz's suggestions to OoO and Noed.
I think both of these perks should be changed some honestly.
I feel like his OoO change is still kind of meh. It does solve the problem for hag and trapper, but survivors will still know where you are as the killer because they know for a fact that the killer is near you.
His NOED change, I am not sure.

This is the one I’ve been considering. I played him a few times on the mobile version but he’s janky to play on that version. Still really fun tho.
Yeah, he is atrocious to play on mobile but obviously PC and mobile are different. Once you get a feel for him in one or two games, it becomes so much better to handle him.

You want it change. Clearly past changes weren't in the right direction so lets go back to square one.
How does reverting it back into a normal perk solve the problem? I said that it was already difficult enough to get rid of and your suggestion is to make it a non-hex perk?
-
Was playing pig prestige on haddonfield and I had to camp to get one kill. I had no perks and was really only playing her to have fun instead of seriously. One guy in the endgame chat said "We sh-- on you this game" and I was like why tf would you not? Do you feel good about winning when using BL, unb, DS, and adrenaline and sending me to haddonfield in a trio squad? I was also a pig?
That specific guy just said "git gud" and left after. I wasn't upset but just confused and frustrated.

Remove hex part
make it so it makes all injured/dying/hooked survivors permanently broken if they weren't healthy in the moment last gen was popped.
Problem solved. Noed now requires killer to do some job in order to make it work and it can be easily countered by healing before popping last gen.
How does that work with adrenaline? You would also have to have more than one survivor injured which can be difficult at times especially with medkits.

Ok let me throw this out there if you are wanting to change NOED.
Lets say your a nice killer your spreading damage and hooks, 1 gen left and everyone injured, last gen pops and suddenly everyone is full health because they have adrenaline. How do you counter that setup if you take away the exposed factor from NOED.
Yes I'm listing a pretty niche situation but one that a swf group could have in their pocket or even a partial swf and a couple of randos with the newly full health guys running the body block.
Yeah, that is the thing, I don't really know how to change it. I just know that it should be, I was only spitballing an idea.

Maybe if the survivors are standing within X meters from each other, or an exit gate?
Possibly, I am not really sure. Maybe if they are within 16-24m from each other you can see them.

My idea for NoED:
-No more Exposed Status
-Killer keeps the speed bonus
-Killer now sees the aura of all survivors as long as the totem stands.
This makes it threatening, without it being an easy-win.
Maybe, the aura reading should be tweaked though.

A DS nerf would be a nice one.
Yeah, I think the aura reading should be limited. Maybe if survivors group up they can be revealed or if they are injured.

'can't' huh you should have read my responce as I listed 5 ways to counter it :)
The counter only exists for pyramid head then. He is kind of the only exception besides mori's and devour hope.
The problem with the mori's tho is that you still have to play around DS until the survivor is on death hook and downed again.
Devour hope has a really small chance to actually get 5 tokens, it is pretty uncommon to see.
Also, killers don't run any of these often for the most part.
-
@Huge_Bush said:
I disagree. NOED is fine as is.
Survivors don't have to cleanse dull totems. They can wait for the last gen to pop and look for the lit totem.
Totems are a secondary objective. They are not mandatory, but you do risk danger by not looking for them and cleansing them.
Survivors are not entitled to an easy escape just because they could hold M1 long enough to power a gen. Endgame is a large part of a killers game and many can snowball and get 3-4k if played right.
If the killer was so good that they were able to pressure you enough to where you couldn't take some time to cleanse totems, then that isn't the fault of NOED, that is in the fault of the players not being good enough to be able to work on more than one objective during a match.
You are not being punished for being a good survivor if you get hit by NOED, you are being punished for making a bad choice and taking a big risk in not cleansing totems. You are being punished for not considering the killer might have NOED and not paying attention to your surroundings when the last gen pops.
But you can't always take the time to do totems. If you are up against a good killer and the player is skilled, you don't have time to waste. If you manage to do all gens with one person killed off, NOED will almost guarantee another free kill. As I said before, a solo queue team can't really risk cleansing totems and the chance of the killer having NOED at different rank varies. In solo queue, if you aren't doing a generator, you better hope your teammates are. In fact, solo queue is the main problem.
-
You don't because you can't. Slugging will mitigate it, but it is not a counter. And no just "stop tunneling" is not a counter either. Kind of sucks, but they are going to nerf it in the next chapter (I really hope so).

isn't their idle animations pretty much enough?
also the matchmaking take a minute long and usually it to get ready to go into a game, nobody would waste their time making emotes.
also the Survivors will not see the killer in the lobby so having emotes for the killer would be pointless because the only person who would see it is the player with the emote.
I meant this as more of a decorative thing and their idle animations just are meh. The emotes for the killer would be seen in-game. I know this is a thing that everyone probably wouldn't even want in the game, but I thought it would be just something to add to make the game more lively. This was just an idea I had to maybe give survivors more personality and killers more depth.

Idk, I think purple is strong enough to be very useful in the chase even against good players. If you can body block the window or pallet, and you often can due to your added speed, that's a free hit, to say nothing of the benefits of being able to traverse the map faster.
Wraith is also 142% speed while cloaked with a yellow windstorm; he already has the base 11.5% speed increase. So, it's really more like more than 5 stacks of PWYF. That's very helpful for traversing the map and in the chase. 152% is better, sure, but 142% is great.
I have barely made it to bodyblock a survivor with the green and purple addon. I did forget about the initial 11% increase though. I guess it wouldn't be that bad, but I just feel like purple would be better to have. Again, if they buffed him to have yellow windstorm as base kit, I think I would be satisfied.
I need to try for myself to see the difference between the yellow and purple addon. I am not going to count ormond or mother's dwelling as a map to use these on since they are massive. But, I a map like coal tower or another macmillan estate map seems like a good map to use yellow and purple windstorm addons. I want to do this to see if purple is just needed to play Wraith's hit and run playstyle. If I can still effectively travel through the map with yellow windstorm, I will be much more satisfied with yellow being base kit. I will try it out on different maps later today.

I think "decent" is exactly what we should be shooting for with a base kit! Every time I use purple I trash the team I'm playing against lol, so it feels a little too much. I would make yellow the base kit and nerf his windstorm add-ons to maybe +5%/+10%/+15%. I think it's fine for them to be weaker if his base kit is stronger; his issue now is just how slow he is without Windstorm, not that he's too slow with max Windstorm boosts. This addresses the slow base speed without giving him extra speed I don't feel he needs.
Maybe, I would be decently satisfied if yellow was made base kit, but I know the differences in strength with the two since I have played a lot more Wraith. The reason I say purple is because Wraith is still a weaker killer with purple windstorm. When I destroy a team as Wraith while using the purple windstorm addon, I chalk it up to "oh, I guess the mmr screwed them over." And I am right most of the time. However, purple windstorm against even a decent or average team becomes more challenging. I want purple to be base kit, or at the least green or yellow, because he becomes more viable against better survivors.
Yellow base kit is equivalent to 3 stacks of bloodlust or PWYF. It is very strong in a chase, but not exactly map mobility kind of speed. I am not saying that Wraith needs to be as fast as blight or billy, but I do want him to just be below them in terms of speed. Purple feels just about right to me. Not too fast, to avoid over buffing him and not too slow.

I've never had issue with Wraiths cloaked speed. This is actually the first time I've ever seen someone claiming it too slow.
Really? Lots of other people have mentioned how slow it is. That is one of the reasons he is so addon dependent.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Purple windstorm is too much for base kit imo, but I would support yellow. He's actually really darned good with purple.
I think purple is pretty reasonable. Yellow is decent at best. The order from yellow to purple windstorm speed increase from his addons include the following: 15%, 20%, and 25%. With purple, I feel like that should be the one to be chosen since his other ones are going to have to be adjusted if this is the case. If green was base kit, the devs would have to nerf the other ones which would make yellow almost useless and purple equal to the old green or worse.
-
@Mr_K said:
He moves 5.06m/s while cloaked. Why would base stats need to be faster than that?
Because an 11% increase in base movement speed while cloaked is nothing. It is as good as the Clown's movement speed bottle being used for travel. Which is bad btw.

A lot of pigs still run the combat straps these days actually. Myself included.
But that Wraith statement is a fact.

wraith is a completely different killer with windstorm. that addon alone allows wraith to be played differently so i agree. speaking of making things base-kit, i suggest making trapper sack and rat liver base-kit as well.
Yeah, those things are also good little buffs that they should probably have had already.
-
@AChaoticKiller said:
Yeah i wouldn't mind it, giving him a green windstorm addon as base kit would be nice but they would also have to reduce the values of his windstorm addons so they still give similar speed as they do now.
Yeah, I edited the post. I said to change values accordingly or even change their effect enrirely.
-
@Zeus said:
I mean if he did get addons as base he might be really strong/frustrating when this buffed wraith uses addons. Purple is too much I feel. A little lower value than green might be a decent start.
Purple is only 5% faster than green, so I think it would be fine.
But yeah, I can see the other addons being a bit strong so they could be adjusted accordingly or even changed.
