The notification bubbles do not pop up if you're too close to the origin, just like a survivor in chase fast vaulting in front of the killer. IDK the actual radius for them to start showing up tho.
Oof if the bubbles don't show up if they are too close this part of the perk becomes much more limited

Just as I said above :P
for the Spies, I'd rather increase its CD a bit and make the crow follow the survivor creating notifications for a few seconds just like the ones you get after going AFK.
@C3Tooth said:
What if a crow is disturbed when in 36m radius, you receive a noise noti. Cool down of 5sec. An opposite to Spies from the Shadow.
You dont know its from Survivor or Killer.
In return, I would love to see Spies from the Shadow gives Killer ability not to disturb the Crow.
Sounds pretty cool, I glossed over the part where the killer could also trigger it and you wouldn't know. The problems with this though is that if someone is working on a generator it will constantly trigger the perk and you would not get much use out of it, it would be more annoying than helpful (most generators have crows that are disturbed by working on them).

I don't think it being situational is a bad thing. Isn't a perk that works all the time OP?
Also it already has 2 effects on it. Sure you might not scream a lot in most of your matches but being able to not disturb crows is a plus since expert killers can use crows to their advantage in order to find survivors who are not careful.
Also im concerned with it destroying the uses of other perks. Like why use bond, empathy, or aftercare if you cam get free aura reads with Calm Spirit? This is especially the case that it stacks.
I'm sorry but I feel buffing it is just unessacary.
I see what you mean, but perks that work all the time aren't necessarily OP like deja vu or lightweight.
The buff can be changed to one second per crow but still stacks if three seconds is too much. I still think the other perks are superior to it since they are constant and provide full-on info, calm spirit would only show survivors for a few seconds each time and then you would sort of have to predict where or what they are going to do.

it's a nice addition, but I am not sure if it fits the context of the perk. Wouldn't it be better if it worked like Spies from the Shadows where you see the notification bubble, but not the aura on a small CD? Since killers and survivors can trigger crows, it would have some depth involved.
I don't think so, having notification bubbles pop up all the time is actually pretty annoying. The context of the perk seems to fit in for me since we are dealing with crows here, and it is moreover if it fits the lore of the character rather than the perk. Crows are disturbed quite often by survivors and they block your vision because of how they work, so they would just be annoying. I think it should stay more simple and with these changes, it seems perfect to me.

I guess but I think its fine as it is. It already completely counter doctor and to some extent clown. It also hard counters infections fright witch is a very good and useful killer perk.
The problem with that it is a very situational perk and one main killer over the other. This buff would keep those neat additions, but add some information value to it.
-
it is okay to like what this update brought, just keep in mind you are part of a small minority of players. I aesthetically loved "the game" graphic overhaul, not balance-wise in the slightest.

@dspaceman20 said:
I don't get the point if seeing others survivors aura if they disturbed a crow.
To buff the perk and make it just a bit more useful? It would be an informational perk as well as a utility that is not too strong and can actually help.

@sulaiman said:
I think this would be too much, because survivors have the ability to avoid distrubing crows, most killer have not.
It does not show the killer's aura, only any survivor who is not in a chase.

@Blueberry said:
I like the change.
Would it be too much if instead of that it revealed the killer for 2 seconds when he disturbed a crow?
I'm leaning towards probably but I don't know.
I think so, crows are actually pretty common to disturb on any map in a chase and this effect does stack with each crow.

You literally have no argument. :) git gud at social skills.
You literally have little to no skill or common sense if you are saying BBQ is OP. You seemed to have just ignored what everyone said explaining what you can do against it. Send us gameplay of you playing against a killer with BBQ so we can see how you play and if it really is OP, please. Or better, ignore my comment because it is right.

they even fail at that since you need to reload.
Not even worth it either, you are going at 125% movement speed for what 5-ish seconds. The Wraith gains 11% more speed while cloaked and look how well that is at base for mobility... using the bottles for mobility is just bad

If you get to keep the ability to overcome the urge to scream I'll vouch for this buff. Nice!
It is still the same, I just added a lil buff
-
It would be cool, but there is already so many problems with the killer's powers and just difference between them and doing the same to survivors would just break the game.

It was all part of the plan

Here's my personal issue with your first (and I assume main) change to the Reverse Bear Trap: How do the Traps kill Survivors if you only ever have to search three at most? I very much understand that RBTs are a stalling tool first and a killing tool second, but there still needs to be SOME potential to kill because that's why the character exists in this game in the first place. What you're doing here is basically making it all but impossible for a Survivor to die to the RBTs (unless they try to leave with one because they don't know the RBT mechanics). If you do that, they're not death traps anymore, which completely defeats the whole idea of being death traps.
Ik that was the problem I couldn't figure out how to change without making the power too strong and complex while keeping it without RNG. I want it to keep the stall without randomness, but the small chance of killing is pretty hard to add to this. I tried to reduce the timer by 30 seconds if someone was wearing a trap that is activated and someone completes a gen, but some said that this was too strong I believe. I am now having trouble finding a way for the RBTs to have a little lethality.

Posting some gameplay would help us see exactly how we can use his new bottle type.

Yeah, I didn't see a single unsafe one either.

If they know where the last survivor is or have whispers, it is not bad. If they do it when having no clue where the last guy is, that is pretty lame.

They said they aren't able to include the buff in this patch but try to do that at a later date (even though it's pretty much just a simple number change but whatever )
I don't understand how hard it is to change a number and text but apparently it is a huge deal. :\

The new info that comes with it is only good, but just by looking at it, I feel it is inefficient.

I hope they rework a lot of things about him and the way his mechanics work. Constantly falling asleep is just oppressive. After a while it's not even worthwhile to wake up anymore. That's bs
I don't really have much sympathy for Freddy though so I don't care if they end up going too heavy handed on him lol
He's an extremely easy to play, oppressive killer and I don't like it
Poor Freddy, I really hope they don't kill him

Current DBD barely manages to work with 4v1, I think we are going to have to wait for an 8v2.
-
I hate to break it to you, but the swamp maps are anything but small and has plenty of environment to lose the killer on. The worst map in the game is Haddonfield.

@OniWantsYourMacaroni said:
Maybe we should wait like until some time after the mid chapter drops?
I'm still not sure whether these new bottles will be super helpful BUT i feel like this is a change that you need to test yourself before you're able to judge it.
I didn't see any content creator doing any specific testing either,so there's that
I thought everyone already tested it on the PTB and everyone said it sucked.

I would like to see a change to his dream pallets, and build upon that idea of manipulating the tilesets. The reason nobody uses dream pallets is because they literally do nothing to awake survivors, and even then they don't help in loops with real pallets in them until they have been used up. Also, after you hook a survivor they instantly wake up so they will never fall for any fake pallets you placed near them.
Imagine if they expanded what you could change. Make windows disappear, or fake windows that make the survivor stumble if they try to jump through it (since they are trying to jump over basically thin air).
Make breakable walls appear that aren't actually there but the sleeping survivor has to treat as a real wall? Make real pallets disappear to sleeping survivors etc. so many things they could do to make it more thematic and interesting.
Exactly, dream windows and breakable walls would be cool. However, I feel like that would be too powerful.

Freddy isn't OP? Oof, you must be trash with him then. Because every Killer I know can 4K without perks on Freddy... It's that simple, hell I did it all the way down to red rank with Freddy and no perks to just prove a point.
I could send you some gameplay of me playing him some time if you think I am "trash". Either I am really bad with him, or you are really bad against him if you think that he is OP which is what I think you are implying. I doubt you went all the way from low to high ranks with him using no perks as well.

It's a valid concern, saying "mad cuz bad" doesn't add anything intelligent to the conversation.
What is a valid concern? That the DS and OoO nerfs will make solo queue living hell? I doubt it, the DS nerf was justified and the object nerf is actually not bad and also justified. The OP believes that the major problem with the game is SWF which is not true. It is map design, killer design, and perks. If maps were more balanced, it wouldn't matter if you were up against a decent SWF because it would be fairer. OoO allowed SWF groups to make it even worse for killers especially the ones that are already struggling.
DS is a very abusable perk in general and OoO is incredibly powerful in the hands of a SWF. The nerfs were justified. It will not make solo queue a "living hell" either. The statement of the survivors not doing anything to keep DS is also just not true.
The nerfs were great and healthy for the game and will not make solo queue impossible.
-
Maybe this
- Your aura will not be shown to the killer if you are within 4 meters of a crow
or
- Whenever a survivor disturbs a crow, their aura will be revealed to you for 3 seconds and stacks each time
-
A balanced one.

I hate his teleportation. It's essentially free map pressure. It's annoying when he hooks a survivor all the way on the other side of the map, sees you working on a gen with BBQ and teleports to that gen with almost no effort. I think there should be a range or limit to how far he can teleport/what gens he can teleport to.
But if we changed the way he has to keep survivors asleep, it would reward him for doing it allowing to use his teleportation which would force Freddy players to rely on skill to get the most out of his power. A range to it doesn't seem like the best idea.

Some good ideas. I understand the kill rate of 76ish % seems overwhelming. However, if they "kill" him by over nerfing him, we could see him become unnecessarily weak. He should always have Dream Pallets and Snares, but like you said, they should make it a little overall easier for Survivors to wake up/stay awake.
True, to compensate he should definitely make it easier for survivors to wake up which encourages altruism. Altruism is also how you used to beat old Freddy easily, so it would bring back the old Freddy feeling of "Where are my teammates?". It would also make it seem more like you are in "Freddy's world" and he is powerful there and you don't know what's real.
I think that making survivors work together to make it easier for them also sounds more fun than how he works now.

Oni's samurai wipe, he doesn't even wipe it he just whips the blood off it very cleanly

The only change he needs is BT should work against him.
It does, but survivors are usually asleep. WIth my changes, it would make it to where survivors would have an easier time staying awake so they could use BT.

kindred
Since I am a solo queueing survivor, I need this perk.
-
I play everyone except the twins. I am currently practicing my billy, plague, and hag which are the killers I feel I am least proficient with.
-
I feel like it could be an interesting perk, maybe it could do with protection hits or something idk but I think it can definitely be changed to be a useful perk. It should definitely encourage altruism in some way that rewards you.
