because rbmm made games objectively easier due to massive skill gaps in red ranks.
SBMM might be flawed but it prevents players who play the game on occasions (like me) from stomping new players because they keep getting reseted to the lowest rank (or would get bully squad who where clearly targeting newer players)
it reduce the current issue of the killer vs survivor population where there is so few killers at high ranks that red ranks survivors get matched against weaker survivor ( shoutout to the 4swf red rank 1 team I faced at ######### rank 18)

nah sometimes suicide is usefull when there is only one other survivor and you want to give them a chance to get the hatch, yesterday i was playing with friends and a rando just decided to dc at the very start of the game so all 3 of us just decided to kill ourselves on hook to move on as soon as possible.

not really no, in order for these people to face consequence they would have to do it and be reported for it multiple in a short period of time.

devs have said they plan on adding QOL improvements to that aspect, so expect a possible change in 2 years or more.

weird ping/known glitch + in the middle of something = no penalty.
lag switching, pretty sure ping control is a thing now too

i play normaly, any frustration other survivors might feel is the fault of the person who dcd. I expect the same from killers, everytime it happens i blame the players who dcd not the killer.

Dbd is already terribly unbalanced as it is; a ridiculous mode like 2v8 would undoubtedly be exponentially more busted than base Dbd, I wont disagree there but I believe there would be diminishing returns in terms of the unbalance to fun ratio.
To go back to URF as an example, that mode was 10x more busted, and a 100x more miserable than base League but itwas also 1000x more fun than base League when it had its weekend.
and the devs made it a temporary game mode because it can't even stand on its own.

1). some of the rift missions and daily objectives are a real chore without some perks
2) if i was a new player i would refund the game in a heartbeat. I have a limited amount of perks and i have to be limited more?

Harassment is very much a reportable offense, may it be on DbD or on Steam in general. I mainly mention cyberbullying in these reports.
except the closest to harassment you got was player said your nickname is cringe, being a bm'ing dick ingame is not the kind of harassment they mean when they are talking about reportable behavior.

Just to warn you in the future, unless the survivors are using hacks, they have done nothing banable. Reporting wont do a thing, and flagging steam profiles will do even less since steam dosen't handle non vac protected games.

don't feel obligated to stay if you dont find it fun, if playing the killer is unappealing to you then taking a break is the right decision. Legion got a rework very recently so a lot of players will be trying and practicing.

BHVR will step up when there's actual competition, right now its just a new game with some promises and nothing else.

it one of those things that should be banable but can't because there's just too many other possible explanations as to what happened. That survivor could have simply rage quitted or had connection issues.

nah better suicide on hook, making the strategy more attractive and then complain about it rather than do something about it. -
i once made a killer upset because i picked up a glyph in front of them. Usually they just smack away because they dont care or let me pick it up if they're nice but this one got legimitly mad and said i bm'd them , its the only chase i got into with them the whole game so there was no other occasion where it could have been something else.

I'm fine with the idea of post game lobbies but pre game lobbies is just a bad idea and just going to turn the game into a big dodge fest.

easy to pickup and play killers
however my big issue with this game is there is no reliable practice mode where you can learn maps or killers, meaning players are relying on forums and content creators for information so a lot of time it takes long time before the community can get an accurate grasp on the overall state of the balance.
