"bubba mains aren't toxic" Continues to be toxic and scream "what about meee! if we're not talking about me imma cry" like anyone that mains easy killers lmao. You really want to triple down on proving my point and i appreciate it. Its embarrassing for you but i'll take it. *waiting for a reply that continues to scream "but me me me" for the 4th time*

AGAIN, back to op's focus, the only two killers i've ever seen take a game hostage by slugging and forcing people to bleed out are these easy killers op. For freddy's in particular I think it comes from the power trip of his abilities, they give a sense of control over the survivors that most other killers dont. The teleporting and constant pressure of the dream state that requires no action on the part of the killer makes them feel powerful.

You think slugging = taking the game hostage. 😂

I think I will let your post speak for itself.

    Bye again.

The only time i've ever died to bubba is when im frist down and they camp, but im not here to talk about me or you. This isn't a bubba thread, stop trying to fix your bruised ego and stay on topic, but thank you for solidifying my point that people who main easy killers are just in general toxic people, the "but what about me attitude" is really demonstrating that to a T.

You: "he is easy and no skill reee! You're toxic reeee!"

Me: "prove it and play Bubba against me"

You: "I don't have to prove anything! You're toxic reeee!"

That's basically our conversation and anyone can see it so let's leave it at that.

As for Bubba he is mechanically one of the most difficult killers in the game (based on the number of mechanics and the punishment if you fail at ANY of the involved mechanics).

You saying otherwise means nothing as you're obviously new to the game AND you refuse to prove it by playing against me AND you refuse to post proper arguments other than "he's a free win reeee!". Out in the open? Your fault (which also applies to any killer). Free pressure for existing? Only if you're too scared to touch gens (typical for new players).

    Bye.

I have nothing to prove to you? Your opinion of me is meaningless. And a free win is a free win, i know why you play him. I found the bubba main though, priding themself on a dunk using a childs net.

Yeah, thought so. You can't win against Bubba so he's a free win 😂 nice argument. You're new, aren't you?

Also I've been maining Bubba since 2017 so what's your point? Was he a "free win" back then as well? If you can't beat Bubba you're just bad at the game.

  • This.

I faced a facecamping Bubba today and the whole team was just trading and getting slugged left and right. If I hadn't repaired 3 gens by myself and opened the gate it would have been an easy 4k.

Only me and one of those "I'm gonna crouch next to the hook till he leaves!"-guys made it out alive. Obviously I still depipped because using your brain is not what the game wants.

You could make that claim with literally any killer. On the average he is a low skill killer, compared to other instadown killers his has the least requirements before he can down someone in one shot. The only true counter to him (outside head on) is to not let him get near you as he is fast and can one shot with no prerequisite. Only downsides are his height and terror radius is slightly larger. He can put a ton of pressure simply by existing, just like freddy.

Play Bubba against me see how long it takes to get your chainsaw hit if it's so easy.

  • @catnip18 said:

Its the same reason more often than not bubbas are toxic. The easiest killers tend to have the most entitled killers.

Bubba is only easy against bad survivors.

  • Slugging is always "okay" - even at 5 gens as Nurse/Spirit etc. It's a strategy and it can be countered perkless by playing well as survivor and splitting up not allowing the killer to guard their slugs.

If people get slugged right next to each other at 5 gens that's on them no matter how you put it. It's like those people that run to the hoom while injured and get slugged next to the hooked person. No smart killer will leave the hook and it's the survivor's fault.

Play smart and think about your match decisions - simple counter.

  • Because they want the match to feel like a nightmare !

Cute little mod removed my comment about having to turn off cross play because console players are bad. I said it before and I'll say it again, I had to turn my cross play off because console players even at Rank 1 play like potatos.

That whole PC vs console stuff that's currently spammed on the forums sounds a lot like what Tru3talent said at 3:01:37 (before he lost to said console survivors despite playing Huntress with a strong build and strong addons).

"not used to that kind of movement, are ya?!"

Then at 3:11:34 (after losing to said console players)

    - "because they held forward" (excuse 1)

    followed by

    - "map offering" (excuse 2).

  • PC elitists will never stop making things up to make them feel superior to other platforms. Might as well just ignore them.

At the end of the day everyone playing on the highest level will see there's 0% difference when it comes to platforms ESPECIALLY in a game like DBD.

I've already seen a Legacy Dwight die to a baby Bubba (who couldn't time his charges and thus ended up M1-ing me) in seconds. At the same time I know there's just as many potatoes with fancy skins on console.

Bad/good players will be bad/good regardless of their platform.

I mean... look at this lol.

PC players be like: "look how bad console killers are lulz" when in reality your camera gets pulled like a dog on a leash.

  • I too think he's gonna be able to collect stuff to mix his serum resulting in a buffed state that allows him to gain access to strong abilities.

The map will probably be a variation of father campbells chapel.

Hopefully the perks will be useful.

I find that PC survivors are better than console survivors

Literally had 3 PC survivors die to a baby Bubba who couldn't even time his charges in seconds. One of those PC survivors had legacy, too.

I was the only survivor that repaired gens, looped him successfully, won the chases AND escaped (found the hatch during the 2nd chase). Recorded everything, too.

Platform is meaningless in terms of skill. And apparently Legacy means nothing, too. I was excited to have a legacy survivor in my team just to realize it's a fancy looking potato.

  • Haven't noticed a difference so far on both sides to be honest.

  • Depends on how you define the term "viable". All killers are viable against average survivors / the vast majority of survivors.

If you solely define the term by a killer's potential to go against the very best SWF teams then I'm gonna say no, she isn't viable.

The very best teams consist of people that feel comfortable pushing gens while injured and they know how to play pallets perfectly so they can get the stun to break you out of your blood vomit when you pick it up OR they're good enough at breaking line of sight not allowing you to even hit the blood vomit.

And without blood vomit she's a basic M1 killer in chases. Sure, everyone is basically "exposed" all game but the very best teams consist of strong loopers and her base ability doesn't help in that regard. Also she's HUGE making it even easier to play pallets against her.

  • I'm noticing 0% difference between all platforms.

  • His addons are kinda lame and not game changing at all. Probably because of the strong basekit? It kinda gets boring playing as and against him.

His chase music is S-tier, though!

Both Microsoft & Sony have confirmed that next consoles are backwards compatible.

Will we be able to transfer our savegame from current gen to next gen? Wouldn't want to grind everything again.

  • @Koukdw said:

I bet most console killer player with tv speaker so they are not used to headset killers that can hear everything

That's a lame stereotype. All red rank console killers I've ever known (including myself) play with headsets (that's how I heard the breathing of Claudette in the video below). Whatever the thread creator described has nothing to do with console gamers.

    Probably another unhook challenge.

You Have to ask why people are playing survivor more when this is the killers game. Why don't people wanna play ph Michael and the other killers? I mean when the ruin nerf went live i had nearly instant ques as killler and 10-15 minute ques as survivor. So it could come down to balance we don't know.

Personally I think it's less of a balance issue and more of stress level issue.

When Ruin got changed all those killers that used to roll survivors at 5 gens suddenly had no early game slowdown anymore which made everything feel faster and less forgiving as killer.

Before the Ruin change people would literally run around like headless chickens looking for Ruin so games as killer were much more chill.

As a matter of fact a good killer will still do fine at this moment. However even if you 4k chances are the stress level was way too high throughout the match resulting in a decrease of motivation despite the successful match. Without motivation people stick to playing around 5 killer games before they switch another game.

Meanwhile survivor mains play the game all day long since the worst case is they'll die quickly but that's no big deal as no one cares about a dead survivor in a 4v1 game. It's not like killer where you are in the spotlight during the match and you HAVE to endure the complete match - even if you lose.

The developers need to find a way to keep the current balance similar while decreasing the early game stress level for killers. At least that's my opinion.

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

It's not an excuse when many, many, MANY killers are known to use VPN.

I've looked up Steam profiles after the match and they're from China, Finland, Germany, Brazil, Russia.

Their comments are the same language as their origin as well so I know it's not an American posing as someone from that country.

It's bullshit and server validation hits should be here already.

This. Can't wait for server hit validation and 60hz rate.

  • How do you know they're console players? The glocal icon includes windows store PC players, doesn't it?

  • Personally I think it's not necessarily op (since I've seen many iri head Huntress get beat over the years) but the idea of making ONE correct read allowing you to down someone over windows/pallets/ridiculous distances itself is just plain broken. That idea itself doesn't change just because you limit yourself to 1 hatchet.

Just my opinion from a mechanical point of view.

  • Visually I like Midwich elementary school the most. The devs really did an amazing job on the Silent Hill vibes and easter eggs.

Gameplay wise I like Azarov maps the most as I think they provide the most fair chances for both sides for the most part (obviously still depending on what killer it is and rng but the base design seems fair on both sides).

    Maps I really don't enjoy:

Ormond: Too big, really low fps (on console), too many unfair loops and chainable loops, bad auras (although they may be fine since the latest aura change). I still like the theme and all but the map seems kinda one-sided.

Shelter Woods: Overall a seemingly big boring map that either spawns with too many jungle gyms and easy to loop rock-pallets OR a giant death zone with nothing but T-L walls and no pallets. Extremely impactful rng case and boring design. You can't even use some perks effectively due to its bland design (Balanced Landing). Also it's just way too dark for me. If there's just the tiniest bit of fps drop during a 360 survivors will literally teleport away and never be seen again.

  • You can turn off crossplay anytime in the menu. No one forces you to play with other platforms.

  • @HolyLadyGaga said:

Weren't survivors queues on console already terrible because no one wanted to play killer though?

I can only speak for myself (XB1 europe) but I had about 20 second lobbies as survivor and near instant killer lobbies. Basically both sides are/were really quick. Haven't played survivor since crossplay. Will take a look later on, though.

  • Personally I didn't have any matchmaking issues yesterday. Played 3 games to get back to red ranks and got exclusively matched with red rank survivors who had the global icon. Didn't see one single purple. They played crazy good, too. Wasn't used to that kind of caliber to be honest. Matches were pretty fun and close as well.

Then again those were just 3 matches so I don't know if I just got lucky with fair matchmaking.

  • @stargazer9 said:

Just disable it. What is wrong with some of you people complaining about every damn thing?? So many players asked for crossplay and now it's here. Now you're asking to have crossplay only with consoles?? They gave you an option to do that, just turn crossplay off and you'll play with players on console only from your platform only. You make it seem like every player on PC is a pro. There are console players who play better than players who use KB/M.

It's not a matter of skill but a matter of performance issues on console especially now since the current version of the game.

  • I got hit by it once and was like "######### is going on?! That effect is kinda cool!" then I realized it's Knockout and got sad because they turned it into another "basic-attack" perk.

I know isn't it funny? People always try to say he sucks and there are better killers than him, but by better killers they mean killers they agree with and think SWF aren't an issue.

Most people don't like Tru3 because he speaks frankly and honestly about the glaring issues in the game, both Survivor and Killer side.

Everyone knows about the pace of games and the little control killers may have depending on the survivors they face but that doesn't change the fact he got his first hook after 5 minutes which is -no matter how you put it- a miserable performance and thus can't be used as a balance argument.

You can NOT balance a game around killers that get their first hook after 5 minutes.

That being said the devs have already stated there's gonna be that Early Game Change down the road so obviously they are aware of everything.

However given the fact most killers perform well more often than not this Early Game Change may not actually be all that impactful.

  • It took him literally 5 minutes to get the first hook.

That's not a Wraith issue or killer issue in general. That's an "overrated streamer tries hit and run against decent survivors who do gens at all times" issue.

  • I would recommend Pig as she takes less time to learn and she has Surveillance.

  • Overly polite players need to understand that they will most likely never get any polite reactions in DBD as the community mostly consists of... Let's just say "interesting" individuals.

Therefore you should always just play as effective as possible unless you want to be overly fair for the sake of your own ideals.

I'm not talking about potatoes. Potatoes don't know how to play windows or rush generators because they know there's about to be no pallets on the map.

So what killers DO require mechanical skills then (excluding Nurse)?

  • @MadLordJack said:

I never really played bubba before the change. I picked him up in 1 game. Am I the best bubba? No. Am I getting consistent 4k's? Yes. They increased his skill ceiling, sure, but his skill floor also dropped further tham Myers. He's really not so hard a killer.

It's always easy to 4k against potatoes regardless of the killer you play.

  • @MadLordJack said:

You have confused "no skill" with "basic tactics."

Deathslinger: You have to be a crack shot and know all the little gaps you can shoot through.

Spirit: is only easy if you are playing Soundsiper Spirit with busted add-ons. Otherwise it's a competition between you and your opponent as to who can headscrew the other the best. Just because many people don't even try doesnt mean that spirit is easy: trapper is easy when they give up, they simply give up less.

Pyramid Head: Once again, you have to be an good shot, only now you also need perfect timing. On top of that, he has an insanely high skill ceiling outside of looping, though most people don't care given his antiloop potential.

Demogorgon: I don't know where you are coming from with this one. He's got one of the highest skill floors in DBD.

None of these killers are "low skill". (Well, except Stridor Spirit, but that's is completely different to normal spirit). ACTUAL low skill killers are ones like Myers and Freddy: you learn the basics in a few trials and that's all there really is. Sure, you could master them, but their skill floor is so low that you don't need to. They are just so accessable.

A few more to consider? Bubba, Stabby Ghostface and Stabby Wraith. Again, no mechanical skill and no real tactical knowledge.

New Bubba requires no mechanical skills?

Didn't know the chainsaw automatically controlled itself perfectly around tight loops (sweep mechanic 1) without touching any corners (requirement to avoid the stun mechanic 2) while timing the charges (mechanic 3) at the right moment which is required in order to get the chainsaw-range (mechanic 4) necessary to catch a survivor brainlessly running in circles.

  • @Mtom912 said:

Just to let fellow console players know, if you enjoy getting 10 FPS every time you get hit with sloppy, or get bloodlust, hope you enjoy the release of cross play where you verse PC players that get consistent frames

Good thing crossplay can be disabled. I will definitely not play against PC players as long as I have to deal with framedrops and overall low fps.

Can still be used to tunnel. You can negate BT with this

"effect can not be triggered around hooked survivors"

Could be programmed like Devour Hope or Make Your Choice so you have to have a certain distance otherwise the perk won't light up.

  • Deliverance gamers usually yeet off the hook before the killer even had a chance to check a gen because they're afraid of teammates flying for the unhook nullifying their Deliverance. As a result most killers come back straight to the hook because they obviously didn't even have a chance to find a new target in those few seconds.

    Just a theory.

  • Insidious:

"grants you the Undetectable status effect on demand for 4/5/6 seconds with a cooldown of 40/50/60 seconds"

The idea would be simple, The Xenomorph would need to be fast and lethal to fit in DBD.

Rampage would be its primary ability. It would allow the Xenomorph to draw a path to point B from point A. After finishing the path, the Xenomorph would traverse the path starting at 115% and ending at 230%. The movement speed bonus would quickly dissipate back to 115%, like how the Spirit comes out of Phasing. Coming into contact with the survivor will put them into the dying state.

Predator would be the secondary ability. It would allow the Xenomorph to find clues survivors leave behind whenever they do ANY action. If the survivor walks or runs while the Xenomorph is near the survivor's clue, their aura will be visible. Of course, clues do expire after a while and add-ons can makes clues better.

You had me the second you described the Xenomorph instadown. Rampage sounds similar to Hillbilly's chainsaw sprint but that's probably because I can't visualize your idea properly. Can be "instadown path" go "around corners and zig zag" for instance?

The Predator aura ability sounds like it has synergy with the instadown-path as you could draw it around the killer shack after a fast vault leading right to the aura when the survivor in question stands still at the typical "corner position" of the killer shack. Sounds pretty damn strong.

  • @Tricks said:

Because he got a massive nerf so half of his power is nothing but a cosmetic alternate to hooking. (Funny this should happen less than a month after his launch once the majority of people had already paid ca$$$h for him but there you have it. Happens with most premium characters, Killer and Survivor otherwise people /cry omgwtf p2w)

It's better to leave people tangled in barbed wire so their screens field of view has a distraction around it and then use it for 3rd hook replacement for execution.

The only other reason / time to use cage of atonement is when you've downed one survivor with another one within arms reach for chase.

Pyramid Head is an easy to play pay to win killer that requires 1 match to master which means denying windows and pallets.

Nothing about him was nerfed unless you used to tunnel everyone off the cages every match in which case you just need to get good as a killer since it is hideously easy to win as Pyramid Head without tunneling.

And his barbwire is not just a fancy alternative to hooking. It saves time and ignores Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, doesn't reset the survivor's exhaustion etc.

thus generating pressure for doing NOTHING (aka pay 2 win) and even provides a cheap 3 second mori on death hook (aka pay 2 win).

It is beyond me how people can even think he needs a buff when he is so easy to play and easy to win as.

  • @Tricks said:

Here's my 2 step Bubba mastery program:

Tape keyboard to head + Bash mouse with forehead = Profit

Sounds more like a Pyramid Head guide.

  • @KentCStrait said:

If a killer is downing all 4 survivors only to get easy kills than unbreakable is the deserved counterpart to it. If you down a survivor hook him, if you don't hook him live with unbreakable. don't go and only try to down all 4 survivors for an easy win

It's NEVER easy to "just slug all 4 survivors" unless they are incredibly bad at the game.

  • Yes, 1 single Unbreakable is basically a "reset button" for the entire team making it op in a general sense considering it's a 4 v 1 game so 1 perk out of 4 survivors should not really be powerful enough to turn a 4k into a 0k.

However if it wasn't for anti-slug perks killers would try to get the entire team slugged every match as it would quite simply be too viable as opposed to the typical "search, hunt, hook" gameplay.

As a result the survivor gameplay quality would drop significantly so perks like Unbreakable should be expected to come into play when you decide to "over-slug" (which basically starts the second you decide to slug more than 2 survivors).

  • Due to the framedrops / freezes I kinda don't feel like playing today but just out of curiousity did the hotfix change anything in this regard?

  • @IIITweedleIII said:

Unbalanced as in weak? Or OP?

    What changes would you propose?

  • Wait... The first survivor DC'd even though they kobe'd and had DS/Unbreakable forcing you to wait out a full minute or let them get up on their own allowing at least 3 gens to pop before their second hook?

What was their plan? To only get hooked a single time at most? They could have easily rushed the gens and escaped.
