I don't either but I'd like some alone time with Mr Cake daddy too. As well as with David and Daddy Toscano.
Daddy Toscano?
-
But... I don't do drugs.
I would hang out with Pyramid Head, though.
-
Game has been dying since its release.
-
Survivors should spawn on the hook with a 0.1% chance of jumping off the hook.
But just to make sure there should be an automatic entity kill animation if someone jumps off the hook with a 99.99% chance of killing said survivor.
Anything else would be too stressful for killer.
-
One more reason not to play DBD. Poorly programmed game that artificially makes you "fail".
-
People like you remind me why I prefer to play Overwatch, Destiny 2 etc.
-
It would break the game as the size of most loops are taking reaction times into account when designed by the devs. More general movement speed = less time to react = most loops are useless.

Yeah... Let's call it an event when it will be yet another """""event"""""

If you pay attention to how BHVR writes dev notes, it's always "you" when talking about survivors and "them" when talking about killers. They do not see killers as legitimate players of the game. They exclusively look at things from the survivors' point of view. To that end, no, they do not care if killers have fun.
I'm sure you've seen this before
-
Let's see:
Killers already had a great killrate throughout the last year.
And recently these changes were made:
- gens now take 10 more seconds to complete.
- killers recover more quickly after a hit.
- killers break pallets more quickly.
- Decisive Strike got nerfed to the ground.
With these changes any decent killer player will obviously spit on 99% of all solo survivor teams.
But since optimal SWF teams exist the game's still survivor sided - duh.

Or you could continue to play and enjoy a game of DBD even if you don’t escape because of an early dc.
You know, like a grown up might do.
Sorry to break it to you but there's nothing enjoyable about playing a match you can't win by default and grown ups don't waste their time playing games for a stranger's enjoyment.
I play a couple games after 10 hours of work. If the game can't provide me a fun experience I'm out. That's what actual grown ups do. They use THEIR hard earned limited spare time doing what they must or enjoy.
-
I tried it the other day and find it outright crappy.
I felt like I wasn't getting any skillchecks all of a sudden like Autodidact and IF I got multiple skillchecks I would either hit a normal skillcheck resetting the perk or I would get interrupted by the killer or the killer's perks.
Trash perk. Not gonna use it again.
-
Just DBD doing DBD things.
-
Actually I think that's just an upcoming Dance With Me buff
-
Since we're posting personal stats to boost the credibility of our statements :
Around 7000 hours in DBD at this point - I want all the "strategies" to be dealt with so the game can finally get balanced around interactive gameplay (aka legit chases).
If the devs finally got rid of slugging, tunneling and camping they could finally get data on "fair" gameplay.
Soon they would realize "high level survivors" will typically allow a good killer on average to get 5-ish hooks before they escape if said killer plays completely fair and relatively good.
As a result they could finally balance around fair gameplay and possibly even add a little additional objective.
-
At least you didn't have to play against a 4k-bot.
I faced a hatchet throwing Pig that would teleport right onto you, spam hatchets and hook you all within 2 seconds. It wasn't a cheater but an actual bot.
The person livestreamed the bot doing everything on its own and you could tell by the camera movement it wasn't a person playing/cheating.
It was ridiculous.
-
Played a couple killer matches earlier. Didn't camp, tunnel, slug, 3-gen etc.
Was an amazing 11 "legit" hook match without any cheap trade hooks that allowed everyone to equally play the game.
Unfortunately most people don't care about gameplay. They just wanna win so they'll do whatever is the easiest way to win.
-
Stop trying to be a control freak. If a person doesn't feel like playing you can't force them and you can't punish them.
Slugging them until they bleed out will only make them throw games even more quickly than they would have.
People need motivation to play this game - not punishment.
If you slug/camp/tunnel at 5 gens with 4 slowdowns while playing the strongest killers in the game (Nurse/Blight) obviously people will start throwing the match in solo queue because the current state of the game is crappy for solos unless all 4 survivors are comp-level players.

@Sumnox said:
MMR is a myth. Anyone who think/thought "they're high MMR" is day dreaming. It's completely random and only really works when you're absolutely fresh new and you play your first 2 matches. If you survive twice after that, you get dumped into the general pool.
This.
DBD doesn't even have enough players to split the community into a whole bunch of different "classes".
I've faced highly competitive- and tourney players like Exlelite and his tourney clan, Knightlight and Tru3 but at the same time I keep getting matches with complete newbies that have less than 100 hours of playtime.
Matchmaking is as random as ever.
If a game like DBD split the community into a lot of MMR classes everyone would be sitting in queue for an hour.
-
Are you new to the game by any chance?
-
Jeff is literally aiming at his own feet when you look at the killer.
DBD devs what can I say.
-
- Survivors now get less speed boost distance after a hit.
- Killers now recover more quickly from after a successful hit.
- DS is dead.
- Gens now take 1.5 minutes each.
Result: Camping/tunneling has become more efficient and easier than before.
-
Everyone knows she's broken unfair but since the devs don't seem to care people have stopped spamming Nurse hate.
-
@Katzengott said:
Fun fact: 95% of the playerbase who thinks they're high MMR just reached the soft cap.
And / or they're playing only in the evening - midnight when queue times are prioritiezed over MMR.
Actual fun fact:
MMR is still not shown so all you do is assume based on statements you either like/dislike.

Instantly healed?
Circle of healing was nerfed to the point where it feels like a waste of time. The healing takes ages in a game where chases can be ended in a matter of seconds (unless you're bad as killer that is).
As survivor I don't even bother running to a boon totem anymore. First it takes 10+ seconds to run to the nerfed boon radius, then it takes ages to actually heal up, then I gotta run back to the gen which takes another 10+ seconds. Trash perk.

So why are so many players (including me) so bad at it? If it didn’t take skill to play, solo mains wouldn’t be complaining about Solo Queue.
I said "mechanical skill"

And holding m1 on the gen is ..... skillfull ?
Can we stop using the term "skillful" for DBD ? DBD is mechanically a joke of a game. It takes 0 mechanical skill to play DBD.

It's just as obnoxious as the old one but folk give it a free pass because it takes "skill" apparently.
If anything it takes luck because 0.5 seconds of Endurance means even the smallest bit of latency will either make you get hit JUST before the game registers you Dead Harding or JUST after the Endurance ran out during the animation.
That's why many people complain about getting downed and being exhausted. It's unreliable as hell so people think it now takes "skill" when it's basically become a luck dependant perk that's still annoying to go against.

Finally, something new
Can't wait for the "100 survivors with flashbangs and flashlights vs Bubba" mode. Our battle will be legendary.
-
Hackers about to add new game modes at this point.
-
Just play something else... I heard civilization was a good game
-
People claim he is op because he is op.
His power ends chases quickly regardless of the survivor's experience and allows for easy map pressure at the same time.
That's op by definition.
-
@Aneurysm said:
Am I missing something in this video? What exactly would be different if that survivor didn't have DH?
It wouldn't have changed anything. Op is just angry because he got 2 kills instead of 4.
-
The Entity doesn't want to get facecamped so it's afraid to tell him not to use the chainsaw near a hook
-
Silent Hill 2 reference :)
-
I think I've put most of my 5+k hours in Bubba but at some point the game just got boring so I packed my chainsaw and went to Destiny 2. Haven't really returned ever since.
-
A skin is never worth that much.
-
All killers are easy to use. The game is DBD, not Dark Souls

Waster their time and annoy them enough and hopefully they’d just stop playing Dbd and stop ruining matches for other players.
Doesn't work since many people merely play DBD because of addiction rather than fun. All you do is take even more of their motivation. As a result they will throw games even more quickly than they usually would.

reassurance can hold them on hook an extra 30 seconds and they cant do anything about it. waste their time as much as possible at least so they dont try it in future games
Again: You can not force people to play a game they don't wanna play.
Even if someone like you trolls a discouraged player they will still give up whenever they feel like the match is a waste of time.
-
If someone wants to give up on the hook just leave them alone.
Do you really think you can force them to play a game they don't wanna play?
-
New wiggle mechanic is healthier on my fingers so it's way better for me.
-
It already got nerfed. It used to work unconditionally. Now it's basic attack only which means Bubba aka owner of said perk can't use it with his own ability.

Go into a practice game with some friends.
Survivor 1: Prove Thyself, Streetwise, Built to last, Hyperfocus
Survivor 2: Hyperfocus, Fast Strack, Stakeout, ___________
Survivor 3: We'll make it, BT, Exhaustion perk, ___________
Survivor 4: Boon CoH, Exhaustion perk, 2x __________
If you have survivor #1 and #2 on gens the game is just stupid. You can tun a gen into something like a 30 second project which is 1/3 the listed time.
Before the 40 perk rework we had Dead Hard break the game because you could make sure every chase lasted a minute. Hyperfocus allows for nonsense with Prove Thyself where you can turn every gen into a 40 second event.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3160985#Comment_3160985
Before they changed it in 2021 Great checks were 2.4 seconds per event (and they applied to heals as well). Great checks were halved in power to 1.2 seconds. Did they lower them again?
When were they changed to 0.9 seconds per event?
Aaah yeah the typical "test something under perfect conditions for 1 side to see if it's busted".
Even then youe survivor 1,2,3 and 4 will get 0 escapes when facing a slugging Sally.
-
Legion or Plague + Nurse =
Survivors get injured by frenzy or infected gens with no mechanical counterplay then 1 hit downed by Nurse with no mechanical counterplay.
-
Deathslinger's power has 100% immunity against Dead Hard unlike any other projectile Killer in the game.
There's your upside.
-
@GrimReaperJr1232 said:
Okay, this is just ridiculous.
They bought the game. If they enjoy the killer, they have a right to play them. Hate the killer all you want, don't shame the player.
Survivors bought the game, too.
And they got as much right to complain about overpowered features and the people abusing them as anyone else.
-
If you're a true friend you will tell her to try civilization
