seems decent, kinda worried about that multiple decisive option and you know, chases are so busted in this game, I wouldn't base anything over them.

imagine not wanting double bloodpoints when you have to stay inside bored because of the pandemic.

Imagine not wanting to give people another incentive to self-isolate and prevent the spread of the virus.
lmao, y'all so pathetic, you clearly don't give a ######### about people dying, you just want double blood points, for a stupid ass videogame.

I prefer people who want ingame events to have something to spend time while being inside over those who go outside and do social meetups. Here in Germany we will most likely not be allowed to go outside pretty soon, because people are stupid and decide to spend the time in Parks or in Cafes with their friends.
So I prefer everyone who wants reasons to be inside over those idiots.
eh, I'm in italy, and a pretty known website gave free premium accounts for Italians, so most people will stay home.
but to end it here, people will stay home if they care and are respectful, what is this player base like? a solid 20k per day, it wouldn't matter, if people want to leave their house, they will; not caring about any possible fine.
-
in a game were even if you win you didn't rank up, nobody should care about ranks, if even the game itself doesn't care.
-
imagine exploiting a worldwide pandemic just to get useless points in a videogame. you're so sad
-
oh they addressed it. they basically said that for them it's normal losing 2 gens at the start of the match, despite they literally never talked about it before people started pointing it out; with such an answer they're probably not gonna do something relevant in the future updates.

But I didn't get unhooked by a survivor once the whole game. Why would I lie?
desync issue, it's the same thing when you escape from a trap while the trapper tries to carry you.
-
you probably did get unhooked during phase 2

@YaiPa by comms, I meant voice comms, not text. I should have specified.
And yes, there will be exploits like what you mentioned. But is it exploitation or just effective coordination? Currently SWF has the ability to exploit because if comms. “He’s using Knock Out. I’m in the grass by the shack.” This just gives the killer more ability to coordinate as well.
@Butcher_Pete valid concern, but you don’t have to play with an imp if you don’t want to. Furthermore, you can allow a random imp player to join if you don’t have a specific friend you want to invite.
Beyond this, even if you don’t use an imp, it still benefits you because SWF matchmaking will prioritize imp games. When you play as a solo killer, you will have a higher percentage of matches against solo survivors.
yeah sure, SWF arguably are exploiting too, but they've been in the game for a long time, and they are the power role (in every way, monetary especially) of the game. But, as other people said, we're talking about not losing bloodlust, way more efficient tunneling or camping... we should have to try it out.

It’s open for debate, but either he matches killer speed each game or he has a set high speed (maybe 120%. Maybe a bit less).
He can help end chases more quickly by attacking survivors who are running and making them stumble. He can also break pallets while the killer continues the chase.
If implemented, there will be several imp-specific perks. (He may only have one or two usable perk slots though.)
His biggest advantage to the killer is the comms. “Hey the survivor is hiding behind this bush. See where I’m at?” “I saw the hatch in the preschool basement”. “He’s in the left locker!” Hitting to make people scream is useful as well!
yeah, my main issue is also with pre-set comms, most of the times they never work, that's why SWF needs voice-comms.
since an imp could be your friend, we would most likely see a war: SWF teams against KWF teams.
and if killer could talk to the imp, I'm already imaging how to exploit it: like I'm using huntress, being looped at the shack, survivor throws down the god pallet, I wind up the hatchet, he hides behind the box. Now the imp can just break the pallet and I get a free hit".
cooldown are pretty needed, otherwise it might be exploited.
-
the thing is at high ranks you need to throw the game if you want to pip, "and in the end, it doesn't even matter" since there aren't any rank rewards.
also, face camp is not meta but okay
-
megaman saga binge replaying and retro gaming, that's what I've been doing for the last month...
in the end, you just need a pause, that just like the DC penalty, needs to get longer and longer every time.
-
how much fast? does he share killer perks (like pop)?
anyways, it would be a minor help, unless he could help ending chases quicker (hence why I asked you how much is he fast or if how effective the stumble would be and what's its cooldown) otherwise pretty useless.
-
because I like challenges. I've dealt with so many unfair games in the past, I won't be stopped (actually I can see myself dropping the game in 1 year, but that's another story)

Ok, you've made your points, but what if the perk didn't affect generators? Thoughts?
it would be basically useless, since the only other action that has skillchecks is healing, so it could be used with self-care, which is not meta, hence not good, and autodidact, which might be good, if you won't a meme build wasting 2 slots.

Like killers cheating with tunneling, camping, slugging or using OP thingies? SWF arent such an issue you always wanna make out of it.
And again SWF are generalized to share any game deciding actions happening during a trial. Thats nonsense! @chenais
"Like killers cheating"
aight fam
-
that's the point, in the hands of great players it might become very scary, pushing the genrush meta further more.
they should just make that autodidact could increase the skill check chances while healing and then the perk would be fine.

SWF is only bad about 20% of the time.
Most swf players are quite bad and rely on the communication to get the drop on the killer. But struggle in chases and tend to be too overly altruistic.
Stealth killers are a definite victim too.
I'd say 1 in every 20 SWF teams are going to grind you into dust but that will be because they are just good players even when playing solo and are just being boosted even further by the comms.
that's not the point. just because you won't face every time a day a super organized depip squad, it doesn't mean that SWF aren't a core issue of the game, cheating on most mechanics and cheating the main idea that (once) was behind the game design.
-
no, because as always the time and math is against you as killer. But, I will give you that killers, including me, nowadays tend to tunnel more than prior (before ds change) if there's no obsession in the match.
-
a good way to break focus of the killer, especially if done after undeserved pallet stun/won chases.
-
if he does, then the killer is just gonna sit and watch him. Then if he does escape the killer is gonna smack him on the ground, and then there's gonna be the super fun 60 seconds coffee break because ds works perfectly fine.
-
probably something he said to save the poor game balance.
he said also that demogorgon would be a "very strong killer".

Yeah. Theres already a collision when a killer vaults
The "window tech" is legit a timing thing.
Though If I'm being honest if you're getting juked by a window tech, fair play tbh.
yeah, adding full collision, doesn't seems that hard.

Did they publish the results of the experiment anywhere?
absolutely, I physically had to search online and that's the main outcome.
for whatever reason they didn't give any information about, they seemingly forgot about it, probably because the results would probably lead to a big survivor nerf, which isn't really healthy for this game? idk
-
they did an experiment called "vanilla" where nobody used any perks. The outcome was pretty obvious, killer got ass-kicked, except for few (pre-nerf) nurses.
-
this is just sad

Easier said than done
adding collision while killer is vaulting?
-
legion is actually the best killer to rank up, pretty easy to reach red ranks exploiting the ranking system, just the good ol' stab and leave.
-
disturbed ward is the strongest survivor map in the game, so everyone hates it.
while the church is somewhat balanced, unless the god window in the church spawn (only if basement is in shack).
-
console nurse is one of most called noed in this game, right after frosty eyes hag. lmao
-
sadly there are no such perks on the killer side, most of the times a mistake will cost you the match. I mean, there is noed, which is super easy to counter, basically useless, and like, maybe unrelenting could count? but it has so little use it's not that good...
-
I mean, they went ######### "They call me Trinity" with this update. So I think that anything could fit DbD at this point.
-
I mean, still a better decoration than the cheese png on some random boxes.
-
I mean, technically it is the best hook, since the time for the rescue gets slowed by the stairs, and you could get an advantage of that (basically only if you proxy camp, especially with huntress or trapper). as you said, with current gen time you just lose too much time, unless you want to proxy, maybe near a 3 gen stack, there's no need to aim directly towards the basement.
-
yes, they indeed are incompetent. how come a perk like old mettle of man existed? after 3 years (may 2019), devs sat at the BHVR's round table and started a briefing:
-"so, do you think that an extra health state without any requirement, totally free, and most important without any counter from most killers, would be broken?"
-"no, like totally".
And the rest is history.
-
killers might be hypocrites, because they know how the game works and might take their favors over some arguments, while main survivors are just naive, not knowing anything about frustration over an unbalanced game, not being able to do anything in some scenarios and etcetera.
-
for a reference I think this is what OP is referring to:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Jsdna8fq5oI think, I've never seen this tech, tho. (also the video shows the amazing wraith "3 dingdongs" bug)
But I think it was removed because it was ok being able to jump over the pallet, but literally cutting in half the loop thanks to the car weird hitbox was a little bit too much.
-
forget about it. she's fine, who cares if she so boring to play as? you better have fun slowly walking until you see someone, always keeping 1 blink when scouting, waiting a #########-ton of time before you blink again.
but, let's see the silver lining: sure, she's unplayable right now, boring to play as and against, devs literally buried nurse under any aspect, but at least she hasn't any bugs, right?
-
disturbed ward has always been bullshit with the totems placement, still hasn't been fixed (actually, I don't even know how disturbed ward still exists).
-
it's not a real tech, basically frame perfect and input registration bullshit, just like the old red insta heal "tech".
nonetheless, still pretty impressive to pull off.
-
if this effect was straight replaced, it would be a minor nerf. Nowadays, in a good SWF there can be just 1 borrowed time, who can do as many free saves as he wants, especially in endgame snowballing. With this change, most people would run borrowed time.
-
absolutely no. For many things they did in the past (like flashlight and pallet saves at any given time, ruin nerf without considering the reason why ruin was used, mettle of man, and much more #########). Most of them don't play the game enough at high ranks.
-
it's a mix of auto-aim (but with a different name), slow controls on console killers, fast turning survivor speed and bhvr's un-dedicated servers. The only way you can get better at avoiding it is, wait a little bit before landing a hit, and try not to lunge, it seems that most of the times it doesn't happen when not lunging.
-
probably because those offerings were all bugged: like sometimes you could get them on blood webs even if you already had that character (hence 7k bp waste), while sometimes when used they wouldn't let you play that characters and might unlock it permanently.
also, it been almost 2 years since the last splinter was added, devs clearly decided not to use that concept anymore.
but yeah, it is sad you can't try out new killers anymore.
-
the max amount you can obtain is 32k, without any multiplier.
then, if every player (all the survivors and the killer) use the 3rd anniversary cake offering, and you equip barbecue and chill, you'll get 228k, which, if I didn't ######### the math up, should be the highest bp you could possibly earn.

Iri head should disable this buff. I forgot it existed temporarily. Sorry.
And I'm not buffing bad plays, but sometimes a huntress will lose incredible amounts of pressure by running out of hatchets, expecially on maps with not a lot of lockers around and can be forced to completely abandon chase due to a lack of power. Is that fair? Bringing huntress up to normal killer speeds upon missing and using up hatchets, same with deathslinger and his harpoons, is not "rewarding misplays."
Also saying there removing all unique aspects of killers... They literally released a killer with a gun at 115% movement speed, and a killer who absorbs blood and runs around with a flick unlike billy what are you on about mate haha I mean this incredibly politely and don't mean to ridicule but cmon.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1156448#Comment_1156448
And a huntress without hatchets can snowball? A huntress without hatchets is one of the weakest forms of killer in the game. Being forced to go get hatchets and abandon chase can be one of the worst feelings, expecially on maps without a lot of lockers around.
I meant like only t1 Myers being able to avoid spine chill, hag lunge being shorter, pig TR being unique, those kind of characteristic, everything you said is power related.
-
no, you basically giving advantage to bad plays, like missing hatchets, and iri head would become even stronger.
huntress can be godlike on some maps, just like trash on some others, her speed is her weak point, smart survivor would just keep running in circle around a big rock in the swamp. it's stupid, but it's this game.
but, someday the might set every killer speed to 115%, since they're slowly removing every unique characteristic from every killer.
-
but it is way stronger than most of the people think. It will never be addressed, so just be prepared when a survivor is gonna dead hard for distance at a super safe pallet, get outplayed nerd.
inb4: jUst b8 the swing!!!
-
it's been there for like 4 months, sometimes it spawns in the middle, always on the swamp
-
if someone wants to leave, they will. After you punished DCs you want to punish hook suicide? fine, people will stop hook suiciding, they'll just start running in front of the killer as they get unhooked.
