Dead hard is the only survivor perk I really can't stand. I don't tunnel or camp so DS and unbreakable are rarely issues, but feeling cheated out of a hit just feels awful.
-
Freddy's the only killer I really dislike. He just does everything, and having to run across the map every thirty seconds is not fun.
-
Imagine complaining about depipping. I'd love to depip. I crave it.

I couldn’t hook because object swf constantly saving with 3 insta flashlights even when i’d locker grab it’d be at least 2 ready
Ah. One time I had a game like this. I downed someone on coldwind (map offering) and all their teammates converged on my location and simultaneously shone flashlights into my eyes. I just stood my clown in the corner of the map and went to make a sandwich. Sometimes there's just not a lot you can do.

Thanks to the devs posting here. Community interaction is often an odious task and I'm glad you commit to it even when we don't see eye to eye.
As far as the topic goes: the update isn't even out? I know I'm waiting to try it out before I form an opinion. My gut feeling is that I'll just use the speedy bottles to get to gens faster rather than any fancy mindgame stuff.
-
This isn't really a problem? If you realize they're doing this simply commit to chases and hook people. It doesn't matter if they're 99'd on the hook.

One of the devs spoke about making sure the animation was nice so you can still tea bag, I’m paraphrasing, watch the dev files and you’ll see for yourself.
Ohhhhhh. I watched the video but I must have missed that line. The devs shouldn't condone rude behavior :/
-
Tbagging encouraged? Where's that come from?
-
No, he's pretty weak. I "main" him but I unlocked doctor this last week and playing doctor by comparison is just night and day. I've gone up from rank 4 to 2 with little difficulty even as a new doctor. When I was playing him exclusively I thought he was underrated, but now I realize he's rather bad.
Still gonna play him though.
-
I wish Ace was free on PC :(
He has so many fun perks, but it's impossible to justify the iri shards for fun, ineffectual perks
-
Constantly. Every third game, maybe.
-
I have no idea what you're talking about. I see myself just using the antidote to get about the map faster. Giving survivors a speed boost does not seem useful.
-
I don't have either of these perks and even if I did, I wouldn't use them.
-
I agree completely. If they could polish up rock+ tree textures to not look like nintendo DS textures that would be great as well.
-
When I play killer (90%) of the time I'm just a bundle of nerves because I know that if I make one mistake three gens are going to pop simultaneously.
-
I'm a rank 3 killer and I had a rank 16 Jeff in my game yesterday. I could tell he was newer because he kept running into walls and running away from loops. Sacrificed his cowardly teammates and let him hit the gate.
But most killers aren't like me. Most would have just leaned on this dude. That's a really awful new player experience. Better matchmaking should be a priority.
-
Dead dawg is my favorite. I love the sunset and the gorgeous skybox.
Haddonfield is my second favorite. It feels like I just stumbled onto the set of a slasher flick and now it's time for murder!
-
Haha no. I have a job. I ain't got time to sit around with the game open watching a stream in the vague hope that I'll beat dozens of other people in entering in the code.
The system is ridiculous and frankly dumb as hell.
-
My favorite part of this video is watching freddy set up vs trapper. Yeah, put traps literally everywhere. No downside!
-
I imagine Jeff reeks of patchouli and fermented body odor.
-
My idea was to combine lightweight with Hope.
-
Lot of them are just meming and trying to make entertaining content. Just go with it.
-
Eh. I can't think of much wrong. I'd add like 10s or something to gen times, I think. Most of the stuff I'd like changed is quality of life stuff that's hard to get into.
Edit: oh, I'd make decisive deactivate upon healing someone else, being healed, or working on a gen. The locker play doesn't bother me. Being slugged sucks. Keys should have you hit a couple skill checks to use on hatch.
-
I'd love to use it if it actually looked different and was less likely to get me murdered. I like the broken key a lot, actually.

Ah okay. Yeah makes sense.

Do you have obsessions in your games then?
Hrm. I think so. I'm the obsession every few games actually, presumably through a killer perk. I mean I agree with your conceit that there should be an obsession in every game, but for thematic reasons.
-
Ah, you've posted them before. I think most of them are reasonable with the survivor ones being a little overturned. The poster above me has basically the same feelings as me. On a lot of maps the only way you can find a slugged survivor is by the noises, really.
-
I don't have any of these perks and I find the game imminently playable as survivor.
-
I wish I had these perks to try it out :/ oh well. One day.
As survivor I can't ever hit those lullaby checks. I'm a potato.
-
What an awful necro.
I never nod. One time I tried it and the in the second I wasted doing it eighty gens popped. Ain't got time to BM
-
Eh. If there's an Ash or somebody playing ballsy I respect that and I'll usually give them hatch or gate. It's the people not unhooking, stealthing around and being cowards that will die as soon as I catch them.
-
Hrm? He's just tiresome to play against. Running across the map every thirty seconds to wake up is not fun. Knowing every loop is futile because he can lay ten! snares down with zero repercussions is not fun. Freddy is the only killer I actively dislike playing vs.
-
I would rather condense some perks into one rather than take away tiers. Combine Brutal and Agitation, or Bond and Prove Thyself for example.

How is he more wholesome?
I like how self deprecating he is and his dumb made up words make me giggle.
BIG SWONGLES
-
JRM is like him, but more wholesome and funnier
-
Clown had one of his add-ons say it was a confetti bottle for a bit. Maybe that'll be the same thing?
-
It's ok to have a goofy game every once in a while. If it happened more often than every once in a great while I wouldn't go for it. But I don't see it very frequently at all.
-
Eh. I'd rather take the yellow reload and the one that causes exhaustion.
-
You've already won. You killed three dudes. One survivor escaping is not big deal.

It's up to Survivors to punish camping. When I camp, if nobody comes for the rescue, I stop because I'm losing ground. But when they come running, even if they don't rush the hook and just hang around and they're not repairing while the one on the hook is dying, I'm still profiting.
It is true that the Emblem system does not look favorably upon camping... but the best way to stop it to not to reward it.
I know all the arguments and counter arguments about it; I've heard them over and over. :)
One of DbD's core values is "player agency". We want players to have as much input on what happens in matches as possible. Eliminating camping as a strategy removes choice from both the Killer and the Survivors; it limits gameplay possibilities. Deciding to do gens instead of rescuing the one being camped is a moral decision: choosing the good of the many over the good of the one. Sometimes, the Survivors choose the good of the one over the good of the many; when they do, they often suffer dire consequences. But all of that arises from player choice.
I will not say "camping is good gameplay in DbD" as many construe my comments to mean. But the possibility, the choice leading to it, and the choices it requires Survivors to make are all part of what makes the game great: player agency. Removing those choices only reduces the range of decisions to make, which isn't good in the long run.
We have experimented extensively with anti-camping measures. In the end, the result was always that the camper just camped harder, or we had to break fundamental systems to accomodate the anti-camping measure.
You shouldn't discourage play styles, but you should enable survivors to earn BP while being camped. Give them 7k or so for keeping the killer occupied. It feels unfair to not have any opportunities to earn BP cuz you were on hook.
-
Don't forget that you can see the aura of blood orbs through objects, giving Oni some built in tracking.
-
I love clown as he is and am terrified of the rework.
-
I honestly just hate having to run back and forth across the map every thirty seconds or less to wake up.
-
If the killer hits someone with their weapon, the cops should simply come arrest them.
-
Console players don't have aim assist? That's wild. Don't they need it the most?
-
I mean, autohaven and ormond are basically gimmies now, so not really?
-
I don't have/use any of those meta perks, but I can definitively tell you that a lot of them are just useless. Most make so little difference that you may as well be perkless.
-
It's pretty stupid. I work full time at a job, so I guess that means I just don't deserve these charms.
-
Freddy is the only killer I dislike playing against.
However, if they just make it so you can use any alarm to wake up he'd be fine imo. Traipsing back and forth the entire map every ten seconds to wake up is exceptionally tedious.
-
I just mess around. Boil Over is one of my favorite perks because watching killers bump into trees and pipes n stuff makes me cackle. I also really love dance with me, lithe and quick and quiet because utilizing those perks to lose a killer is really satisfying.
If I get sick of that then I'll slap on botany knowledge and empathy and go on an altruistic spree. It's whatever for me, really.
-
Maybe it's because a lot of Elodie players simply don't have all the perks unlocked yet and that's one of the best ones they have available? She doesn't seem particularly loud to me but her audio does have a weird....crispness to it.
