I very very rarely have this happen to me. Survivor for me is a soothing experience compared to killer.
-
I think he's really cool. All of his animations have so much character and his music is dope as well.
-
Moria are mostly useless. The timing for the game as killer is simply too tight. During the mori animation you are not moving and two gens are popping in the distance.

I run a gen killer doc a lot but I've never tried a basment build on him. This could be interesting.
It's so dumb and has no business working. When people go for the save, you shock then hit and you can typically down the new survivor at the entrance to the basement. I also like to run the distant terror radius addon for the extra trickery.
-
I'd be fine with awarding bonus bp after the match. It'd be nice to know if I was up against a team post-game, don't really need/want to know before.
-
Distressing/insidious/monstrous shrine/ agitation doctor.
You do one chase ideally. Bring them to basement. Hang out. I do this awful build when I'm drunk and don't feel like figuring out where people go. It'll get you a lot of hate but it's weirdly effective.
-
Don't camp pallets. Just drop them. If you see him charging up to shock don't even try to vault; just leave. Holding W is the best way to counter doctor.
-
They're both very boring perks and I'd not run either.
-
360s bother me, but not nearly as much as when survivors wibble wobble left and right quickly to make the autoaim bug out. That stuff is rage inducing.
I'm also not looking forward to having to concentrate hard on actually hitting someone either. That's how I've found it to be. Makes playing the game inebriated way more difficult.
-
Quick and quiet is one of the few perks that I'd say is fine just how it is. It has a lot of niches that it can be applied to.
If anything I'd add this to Balanced Landing.
-
It's never gonna be. Thank God. I love it just as it is- a casual fun game.
Or casual stress as killer.
-
I'd qualify myself as a casual and I still think the new hud is atrocious.
-
The UI is demonstrably worse. It's detestable. Especially as Doctor. I cannot tell madness tiers anymore.
The animations are more defensible. I think they're alright mostly. Survivors need to be able to spin and juke more reliably though.
-
The hook-o-meter for killers is especially egregious and pointless. I really hate that thing.

I like everything. Nothing else to say...
Not much of a critical thinker, huh?
-
Eh. Looks better. I wish the sleeves were poofier, but that's a minor complaint.

It's just that, a dream. Pennywise has no real physical form, he's just an alien ball of light. If you think about it, he's way to similar to The Entity itself and that would be an issue lore wise. How's a parasitic space god feed off another parasitic space god? Chucky on his own is useless, he's way too small. Yes I know it's been suggested that he could work with his human form but then that would just be The Twins. Imagination can only go so far without changing the character entirely. Xenomorph is described as "the perfect organism" literally unstoppable unless it's shot or blown up. The Predator would work nicely though. Mr X is a towering bioweapon that walks through walls and tanks grenades. A plank of would should not affect him. Plus with his strength he could just chuck a generator out of the match. On top of that, he wouldn't listen to the Entity anyway, he's programmed to kill RPD, STARS and any witnesses and military personnel. He's useless to the Entity.
In the re2 remake he's got a little antenna on his head that directs his actions. I'm certain an interdimensional reality warping spider could induce some radio waves.
-
The only perk in the game that bothers me is dead hard. The animation looks buggy and feeling cheated out of a hit is just awful.
-
Switched from Overwatch. They decided to nerf every hero I enjoy, systematically. I play a lot of dudes, too.
-
I qualify a 2k as a win. Ofc I'm very very lackadaisical as to whether or not survivors escape.
As survivor? A win is an escape through any means.

I think my thought at the time was why has this zombie remembered to put a hat on.
Umbrella sticks hats on em so they can be mistaken for a human from a distance and to obscure the little control antenna they have.

Yes when you have a stable foundation of knowledge and also have an assortment of perks to choose from. playing the game and being beaten without really knowing what your doing wrong isnt fun.
Hrrm. I always had fun because I felt like I was learning, even when I lost. The game surprised me with it's depth and variety. When it first came out I dismissed it for years as a simple gimmicky game and well I tried it out through gamepass I kinda fell in love.
-
In these circumstances I think it's better to prove yourself the better man. You don't have to meet rudeness with rudeness. Survivors are just trying to have fun, it is no big deal.
-
Part of the fun of the game is learning how to interact with the different killers. Learning and trying new perk combos.
-
I would love to be able to see the game from the perspective of the survivors or the killer after the game is over. There's a great deal to be learned.

The only thing I took away from the survey is that their main concern seems to be finding additional ways to monetize DBD.
Well yeah. They have a hugely bloated team for the amount that they do. Gotta pay all those people somehow.
-
This is unrelated to the topic of the thread but I generally do not camp or slug and am probably the nicest killer you will ever see-
However this weekend I was real drunk and I played insidious basement doctor. Insidious, distressing, agitation, sloppy. With the illusory terror radius addon. The idea is people wouldn't be able to fully tell whether I was roaming around after hitting madness tier 2 while I was actually just sitting in basement. It's an awful build.
However, it was horrifically effective. I got like four 4ks in a row at rank one. Just trivially. Way easier than actually chasing people. And I was just completely trashed. Survivors just threw themselves at me. I was like huh, I guess this is why people camp. Felt bad though. Except one swf with all iri syringes. Felt ok to beat them like that.

Humans by their very nature are toxic, hateful and violent. We, as the animals we are, subconsciously enjoy watching the misfortune and failure of others as they struggle. Some express the enjoyment more than others, but we all do to a certain extent.
This is real cynical. I think people by and large are made to help one another(we are social animals), but being an ass in a consequence-free environment helps a lot of people blow off steam, or it's a small way to seize agency and power when they're unhappy with themselves or their lives.

How grindy this game is. I'm a new player and have spent well over 1mil BP unlocking BBQ + trying to get it to appear in another killer's bloodweb. Still haven't gotten it
Also, when I lose a game badly as killer and have to wait while survivors let the egc go down to the last millisecond before leaving. If I try to chase them out myself, they just teabag and juke everything, then I look at the end game scoreboard and they all have meta perks and are several ranks higher than me. I don't even care about losing but it'd be nice if 95% of my lost games didn't end with me getting bm'd for being new or not playing well
You can't let the teabagging bother you, friend. Also keep in mind that survivors sit in queue for forever, so they have an incentive to drag out the game as long as possible. It's no big deal, go get some free hits.
-
Survivors who wibble wobble back and forth while I'm chasing them and abusing the autoaim to make me miss.
As survivor? Killers without a sense of humor.
-
Do the pallets even slow you down or anything?
-
Wesker is simply..... Too anime. Very "nothing personnel kid", if you get my drift.
I think RE1 tyrant would be very imposing.
-
"Dead hard, Sprint burst, Ds, unbreakable, borrowed time, adrenaline, OoO (swf), Iron will, Head on (kinda), Soul guard, Deliverance (Debatable) ."
Well, let's see. DS doesn't bother me cuz I don't tunnel. Unbreakable doesn't bother me cuz I don't slug, BT doesn't bother me because I know how to count to 15. Adrenaline isn't an issue cuz the survivor is playing at a handicap until the very end which they may not even see. Object just means I always know where a murder target is. Iron will is annoying, but I know how to follow blood so that's ok. Head on is fine because it gets you maximum once per match. I don't play with hex perks so soul guard does very little. Deliverance is hardly even a thing.
So that leaves dead hard, which I do hate. It's buggy looking and laggy and feeling cheated of a hit is awful. All these other perks have clear counter play.

Sorry but there's currently only progression for Steam & Stadia with Switch joining shortly. We do not know if Cross Progression will come to any other platform I'm afraid, we're aware that it's something that's desired by the Community but it's not something we can guarantee at this stage.
Literally just link it to your behavior account. At least let me carry over my gamepass progress to the steam version when dbd leaves gamepass :(
-
I'd rather play vs. a head on squad than one the stealths and does gens. Every time I've gone against one it's an easy win with a lot of memorable moments.
-
Pretty frequently. I had an exceptional David that ran me for like four gens and told me he walked me like a dog and asked if I wanted a treat. Which was funny. Then he told me to uninstall the game, which was rather rude.
Of course if I did uninstall, who would he torment? Survivors like that are gonna be the death of this game.

The DBD community are all monkeys, ooga booga
I'm part of the community, and I am very much a human. So that's not true at all
-
I suggest sticking to one killer and mastering them. It really does make a difference to specialize.
-
He does quite a lot compared to other killers.
-
People say to learn tiles and stuff, but I don't know any of that and I'm rank 2. I learned how to run the shack and those double L walls like last week. Ranked up to 4 playing clown and then 2 playing doctor. Switching to doctor felt like taking training weights off- everything got so much easier.
I think game sense and being able to intuit where survivors are going to be is very important. If you can find somebody in the first few seconds of a match that's great. Dropping chases is also very important. If a survivor is leading you to a difficult building or a group of completed generators just let them go and go pressure gens. If you recognize that a survivor is an exceptional looper that's fine. Leave em and go somewhere else. Sometimes people are just better at the video game than you. No big deal, there's three other survivors to choose from.
Perks are useful, but not vital. The only "meta" perk I run is Pop and some games I only use it once or twice. Figure out what works for you. Most games I run distressing/pop/brutal/sloppy. Sometimes I switch out brutal for discordance, thrill trems or overwhelming presence if they have flashlights or something.
Learning general survivor behavior is very useful. Humans are creatures of repetition and habit. If someone heals under hook once they will likely do it again. Catalogue behavior and use it. Survivors do not like to abandon gens with a lot of progress. Hook near it and patrol near it, you can snowball this way.
Oh also, some doctor tips I utilize. Manage madness levels. I try to keep survivors at tier 2 so that I can halt their healing and generator progress. It's very satisfying to hear a nearly completed gen, static blast and see madness 3 proc on every survivor and know that it won't be finished in your face. I also hardly ever use the regular shock unless it's on a survivor camping a pallet and I know I can score a hit off it. The detonation delay and latency make it unreliable for anything else.
-
I burnt a hawkins offering and got it done in one match. Clown with chlorophobia, sloppy, distressing and brutal. I did literally nothing but slug and kick the gens survivors could not resist tapping over and over. It sucked for everybody.
Sometimes when I play doctor people go out of their way to drop every pallet on the map when not in chase. It's bizzare.
-
Awww, what a shame. We, as humans, should always try to be better
-
God, I wish I had BBQ.
-
Sometimes when I play killer I do in fact feel like I'm performing a public service
-
I don't have it and I do pretty well, so probably not?
-
Just don't stress every match. Set your own goals. Mine are often something as simple as scoring a down on a godly looper. Seeing how many times I can Pop this gen after survivors tap it. Stuff like that. Survivors aren't your enemy, they're just playing another part of the same game you enjoy. Be kind.
-
If you go to the store tab and click on the middle tab (forget which option it is) your currency will load in.
-
I think these sorts of binary perk counters aren't very interesting or good for the game.

- You don't see rank until the end.
- You can't bully someone stronger than you.
You can tell when someone is way worse at the game. For killer it's seeing a survivor that dead hards into objects, runs into walls, and just can't play loops. For survivors it's a killer that misses hits constantly and can't get good value out of their power.
When I play vs. purple/yellow rank survivors I can tell and just soft throw so they can get bp and have fun. It's not enjoyable for either side to just have an uncontested win.

Yeah, i bet that feels almost as bad as getting hit through pallets
Well, yes? The difference is that you miss as many hits due to latency as you score.
Also one's a perk and the other is due to actual physics. The false equivalency does nobody any favors.
