lol its not hard to time. its just a bugged perk. decide which it is next time you try to argue, is it your ping? or is it hard to time?
Just a bugged perk that many survivors use and obviously get value from, or else they'd use something else.

This is a venting thread as the title states. Believe it or not people can enjoy things and still be annoyed from time to time. Don't come into a thread with the sole purpose of being offended at others opinions and "venting" to get things off their chest. Also calling people "insane" is truly unhinged. Be nicer to people.
No, it says vent post. Not thread. OP did that. Then I expressed my utterly rational viewpoint. I have fun with DBD regardless of what role I play. It's a good game and I enjoy it. If you feel otherwise the only logical thing to do is literally anything else.

Screeching TOXIC KILLER MAINS from the rooftop.
How's a killer hold a game hostage, exactly?

I play it because it's fun and I like it? You people are insane. If you're not enjoying a video game, don't play it.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think the real problem here (especially with the gen time increase) is that hook stages just aren’t long enough. If you really want to punish camping and weaken perks like deadlock when used for camping, make it take longer.
Reassurance is just a bandaid fix. Nothing more.
I don't think there's a survivor buff idea you could drop that would be an unpopular opinion.

and you are not as smart as you think you are, and you definitely don't play survivor with DH, or you wouldnt be talking
Incidentally, I do. I never used it before the rework cuz meta perks are boring. It's incredibly useful for dodging a blight rush or huntress hatchet on reaction.
Do I sometimes feel like I pushed E on time and the game didn't register it? Of course. Is that the reality of the situation? Probably not. I was just slightly too late and that's how it goes sometimes. It's like having someone get the drop on you in an fps and you feel like you should have won that engagement.
-
What is tunneling? What is camping? There's no consensus definition.
-
You are not as fast as you think you are.
-
You did it! You randomly nerfed a bunch of killers and made their powers clunky whenever they advance their objective! Yaaaay!!!
I see that you want hook states to be half a minute longer. You are the solo queue teammate that just wants to hold m1 while I'm dying on the hook with the killer in a chase with another teammate. I see you.

They won't disable them for every player in the game, no. But a client-sided option that allows all other players to still hear them doesn't impact this whatsoever.
If the voice lines are inticing you to buy the DLC, you won't switch them off.
Yeah, it does. People like to show off their shinies and annoying people like you with their Wesker lines is part of the package they purchased.
It's like folks wanting the option to turn off cosmetics in Dota, LoL and Overwatch. It's a lot of visual clutter and the game would look cleaner if clients could turn it off. Yet they will never ever do that, because showing off what they bought is what keeps people buying that garish trash.

Her apples are better, but you are seriously misunderstanding plague's true strength. if you play her properly you are playing a strong 3 gen that you keep infected and forcing survivors to play slow until they make a mistake then capitalize on it by dragging them into 3 gen. Now survivors are forced to cleanse to have any chance of a save. You can be even meaner and just straight up camp with your power and force people to burn through stages on hook
If you play any killer with a strong three gen then you've been managing the game well and outplaying your opponents. Being overwhelming at that point is the reward for smart play. Every killer benefits from this; plague is not special in that regard.
I don't even know what "forcing survivors to play slow" means. Waiting out the infection duration doesn't benefit either side, it's simply a game that is not progressing. Survivors are always in a risky position when they have to save vs. a plague and camping with corrupt is always a strong option. I really don't understand what you're trying to get at.
-
They'll never do this as the voice lines are part of the dlc people purchase. They're a selling point and if you can turn them off it diminishes the value of them.

I was being sarcastic, due to the excuse you used for your comment.
Same thing could be argued about your opinion aswell, but it doesn't seem that you're interested in having a proper discussion.
Sure.
Firstly, your post is wrong. Prayer tablet fragment adds 40s to the object infection duration but strips plague's ability to directly infect survivors. The loss of agency for the timing of the infection is the mitigating factor of this addon.
Haematite seal is the +30s addon that you're thinking of for the other one. It's yellow. The issue with that is that it takes the place of literally any add-on which is better. Fountain pools, infection rates, iri incense. Stuff that helps you do things that's not puking on objects which is the weakest part of her kit. If the plague is doing nothing but walking around refreshing the infection duration on gens, they are not going to win vs. any but the absolute worst of survivors.
You say they're annoying for "both sides" but obviously the killer won't find them annoying as they are making a decision to use them. And if they're annoying survivors, so what? Everything the killer does annoys survivors, that's the central conceit of a PvP title. Your enemy isn't there to facilitate a fun experience for you, they're a thinking human on the other side of the screen having their own fun.
Hopefully this helps elaborate why I didn't take your post seriously. Play a few plague games. Use the wiki.

People barely played Pig, yet they destroyed the poor girl.
The idea is to avoid problems, not know that it could be one and just address it when people realize that is an abusable strat.
Ah, they destroyed one killer so another deserves the same fate. Sound logic.

Windows is hard meta, believe it or not. I see 1-3 people running it lately in my games. Not complaining, it gives Blindness actual value.
-
All of these exaggerations and absolute statements. "Every single teammate DCs". Really? You can say that unequivocally? You're trying to illustrate this point but undermining it by making these kinds of ridiculous statements. Saying that stuff you don't like is somehow increasing as a definitive statement. You have no way of knowing that. "Tunneling and camping" don't have hard and fast definitions so you can't say they've increased. I hate topics like this. They're just emotional appeals with no thought behind them, over and over.

It's really boring and awful to be slugged and that gameplay, while a useful part of the game, should not be encouraged.

maybe just turn your game volume down.
If it the first time hearing about it then you haven't been looking or haven't been around very long. It's running joke that they increase the volume of the whispers every major patch.

It's not really a terrible evil KILLER MAIN issue with your idea. It's just bad and goofy. A killer perk that preserves survivor items. It's bad regardless of what side you prefer.

Like I said, I agree, but the problems you highlighted there aren't connected to that. People give up because they're salty or just don't care, not because they don't have information, and a lot of the time someone dying early is because they just aren't very good in chase- though I'll agree more information could help in some of those scenarios.
I just worry that BHVR could actually put in a lot of really nice Solo Q improvements but a lot of people will say it doesn't make a difference because it won't stop people giving up, and it won't stop their teammates from just being bad.
Of course they'll say it's not enough. It's never enough. Basekit BT with a speed boost isn't enough according to many. Adding 50% to a hook state isn't enough.
These people have a sense of entitlement entirely disconnected from what is good for the game and what the devs are able to provide. You can't force people to play the game and you can't force people to be good at the game.

I am with him, I do agree gens speed Is problematic for killers that lack the speed and mobility or most average killers that cannot pressure effectively. But I do feel killers absolutely needs some form of map pressure that, forces the Survivors other 3 Survivors to be off the gens when threat is close or afar.
Trapper for example, struggling with low mobility and needing time to find and place traps, in order to bait Survivors into their territory. But, Survivors can easily communicate (in SWF) or when not being chase; take the time to spot the traps and disarm them in advance.
If I want to buff killers massively, when it comes to mobility problems; I would love to see the killer get a temporarily movement speed buff upon hooking a Survivor or something like that. So they can catch up to the distant Generator in time.
This solution also elegantly encourages killers to leave the hook after hooking. I like it!
-
It feels really really bad to just not be able to play the game because your teammates let a tall dude in a jumpsuit stare at them for too long.
These forums are full of gross exaggerations, however 4/5 Myers are playing with tombstone for me. I don't blame them, he's very awful without it, but the fact remains.
-
Making survivors sit on gens for longer is a poor solution. Buff those killers so that they can pressure gens better.

@dbd900bach said:
I honestly feel bad when someone brings reassurance against me because it's completely useless. It's meant to counter camping but what's the point if the killer doesn't camp?
If the killer does camp, time means very little at that point, gens mean very little at that point. It's useless majority If time unless in more extreme situations.
What's the point of unbreakable if the killer doesn't slug? What's the point of botany knowledge vs plague? What's the point of BT if the killer doesn't tunnel? What's the point of CoH vs. bubba? What's the point of DS if you don't get tunneled?
Like you bring perks to counter parts of the game you don't like. If you feel like you're gonna get value out of a specific perk then you bring it. You're not guaranteed value out of anything.
-

Dead Hard is a good perk in the hands of someone who can use it. I suppose you can't use it yet.

She counters her own stealth, her map wide pressure is awful with huge cooldowns and condemned does nothing unless you force it as a gimmick.
I understand you might enjoy her. I enjoy her. But I don't load into a sadako game expecting to win.

Yeah I wish there was an option to hide them. Like I know if I'm in a laggy server, I don't need an obnoxious PNG to tell me.

The game is simply too fast paced for this to work. I understand English likely isn't your first language but I really like calling the killer the maniac. It feels more threatening.

Dunno about the killer villainization here but yeah the bleed out timer should be much faster in this circumstance.

@get_barted said:
Can we get this reverted back. I thought the point of nerfing PR was to not give the killer a notification of where the gen was with the most progress. Paired with DMS, it will kick the survivor off the gen and block it telling the killer exactly where you are. What was the point of PR not giving a notification if this is still a thing?
You can let go of the gen when a survivor is being hooked, is the secret.

When are you killer mains going to admit that things are bad right now? 15 minute queues? 20? 30? What is it going to take for you to realize that playing survivor isn't fun right now.
Even in the middle of the day I've never waited longer than 5 minutes for killer match. After 8pm est? Less than a minute, edging into seconds as the night progresses. This is a ridiculous exaggeration. Why can't anyone on this forum make an argument without absurd hyperbole?
-
This is a good idea. I don't understand buffing it for the sake of accessibility vs. killers with no terror radius. Nobody can hear them, not folks with good hearing or hard of hearing ones. So why does it even trigger for undetectable at all?
-
You have an endgame build. What do you expect?

Well, as I mentioned before...if you're playing normally then you typically wouldn't be running this perk. Most killers who run this perk are doing so for the slug game. The reason for the nerf or rework would be to better counter against a killer who is slugging with the perk.
You coach it as a "better counter" but really it's tacitly removing the perk. When you strip out the core of what a thing is designed to do you're not left with a whole lot.
Just deleting perks is uncreative and uninteresting. Especially just because you don't like them with no real underlying reason. Try a rework instead.
