I really wish you hadn't made this topic. People are going to flock to it and complain about "mending simulator" because adjusting their gameplay to a particular killer is frightening and confusing to them. Let legion slide under the radar so they don't gut them.

Yeah nothing wrong with that. If they kept it it wouldn’t be the end of the world.
It just kinda makes me cringe.
Edit: bit like the menu music for the Attack on Titan crossover. Cringy 90’s electric guitar anthem rendition of the dbd menu music. Made me get outa the main menu as fast as possible. I’m sure others loved it and to each their own, but I’m glad it’s gone.
Do you enjoy anything? Seems like you just go around all day constantly cringing. That's gotta be a burden.
-
Unplayable, yet I play it. Curious.
-
No. The idea behind reassurance is that you give the killer another target in exchange for +50% their hook timer. It's not meant for you to hit it and run back to your gen for 30s cuz you got spooked of the killer.
Also blah blah blah solo queue. Take a shot every time someone awkwardly tries to hitch their argument to how spooky scary bad soloq is and you'll die of alcohol poisoning.
-
It should definitely be hook state, but I suspect they had a hard time coding it.

League still easily takes that crown
I've never played league but I could see that. I think it attracts a younger audience and God knows teens love being edgy.
-
I feel bad for them. This is the most hostile, polarized community I have ever seen. I played dota for years and have never seen the kind of mindless invective these people come up with.
-
Sounds good except outright removing add-ons. I also think only the second blink in a chain should be a special attack. Reward nurses for being accurate and not relying on the corrective blink.
-
It feels incredibly nostalgic to me. I grin like an idiot every time I hear it.

Honestly even if she doesnt get buffs in the patch I wouldnt mind that getting removed. Its such boring design for the killer and if it was removed people cant say "Oh JuSt UsE tHe OtZ cOnDeMnEd StRaT" or try to claim she is good because of it.
I completely agree that it's just not an interesting way to play the game. It's effectively face camping with more steps. I don't understand why anyone would want to bypass the most fun part of the game just to get a survivor out of the match.
-
These sorts of demands are juvenile and unconstructive. You think BHVR is reading this, shaking and crying and ordering an immediate buff for weaker because you, you specifically are important enough a customer that they care about your refund?
Come on.
-
I saw several of these exact posts when dredge came out. What's this have to do with the killer? People are controlling the dude, they're gonna do what they want.

As an anecdote Yerv posted a video last night highlighting how he’s having decent results against face camping with Reassurance in solo survivor queue since it gives extra time for either the gens to get done or the killer to get enough out of position to mount a rescue. 30 seconds is not a small amount of time in this game, it’s the equivalent of an extra chase.
It’s not a silver bullet and killers inclined to facecamp will do so regardless of whether or not it’s actually strategically a good idea. But Reassurance does punish it.
Yeah, it's a good perk. People on this forum act like Karens when they stub a toe and screech about how their leg is broken and they're going to sue that gosh darn rock. Except about everything, all the time. It's honestly exhausting.
-
It's obviously a coding issue with wiretap. That being said blast mine needs compensatory buffs.

I don't think so.
I believe they don't like strong or fun survivor perks. They will be happy whenever we all start to use garbage perks like Self Care, Solo Survivor etc.
Fun can not exist for survivors.
I don't even remember the last good survivor perk tho. It was CoH if i am not wrong.
This victim complex does no one any good. You think the the people that make the game are hellbent on ensuring that 70%~ of their players are having a bad time? You don't sincerely believe that. You're just throwing a pity party.
-
Sadako buffs along with getting rid of that cheesey condemned strat please.

Rancor, Overcharge, Eruption, NOED, Merciless Storm, Hex: Devour Hope, Pain Resonance, Dead Man's Switch, Starstruck, STBFL, Dragon's Grip, Hex: Blood Favor, Hex: Plaything, Hex: Pentimento, Deadlock, and many, many others.
You must have a blast playing killer. Every perk is super fun, apparently.
-
No. It's already decent now.
-
I saw this post on Reddit. It said they modified blast mines code for wiretap and they were interfering with one another so they make them work the same way. Makes sense.
-
I don't instead understand the correlation between those perks and blast mine. They obviously want survivors to plan when they put down a blast mine instead of spamming it on cooldown. Should it get some sort of compensatory buff? Obviously. But their logic is apparent.
-
I'm AFK looking at anime lewds. What of it?
-
You can use it on reaction to lunges or projectiles. This is obviously, good. If you're making the killer reticent to lunge or throw a projectile then you're getting value out of the perk even if you're not using it
You want what? It to just not have any counterplay? Want it to ignore latency somehow?
-
They probably just want the game to be over.
-
Apparently legion never has to chase survivors, according to the forums. Really interesting stuff.
-
Shrug. People say the same stuff over and over and over but my perspective is that the game is way more healthy than it was before. People complain about slowdowns but none of them except jolt has the punch it did before the patch. I see more aura reading than I did before thanks to the lethal buff and consequently more Distortion. I've had games where I'm one of three distortion users which would have been unthinkable before.
-
I play killer with some frequency. More now that queue times are normalizing. Playing half the game isn't "toxic" nor is playing nurse. Folks just don't wanna play against her. It sucks. Can't blame them.
-
I can only assume you wanted to give the survivors a taste of thrilling nurse gameplay and they politely turned down your offer.
-
Better third seal? Sign me up.
-
The not stacking effect makes it rather boring. I think it'd be fine if it just started with a token.
-
He's a rooty tooty shooty cowboy. That's pretty tight.
-
They're right to not mess with the bones of the game.

How do you mean? DBD's matchmaking system is now less of a ranked mode, as it does not have ranks attached to it and uses on the more generous, casual winrate-based matching instead of requiring you to play in a particular way.
It's just a normal quick play queue now, moreso than it was before.
It's ranked mode with the ranks hidden. Matchmaking is uniform.
-
They said they were going to put blessing speeds into leader then just kinda forgot about it.
-
I feel that if I'm forced to play what is essentially ranked mode, I should be able to see my attendant score.
-
I haven't seen a single post maligning the base BT buff. Anyone who thinks that is in a very small minority.
-
Looks like you're in the subforum for it, pal.
-
Second blink attack should be a special attack. Stuns should deplete all blink charges. Lower base blink range by a small amount.

Buddy the most important question in a game is, is this fun?
Camping and tunneling is not fun for the survivors so they are being discouraged. And on the other hand they are also trying to make the game fun for the killer. The nerf to dead hard was mainly because it was unfun. Gens got an increased time because losing gens left and right felt terrible and so on.
You can still do it and it will still be effective, even basically mandatory on low tier killers a bit. But those strategies are getting hit because they are extremely unfun.
You can tunnel 2 guys at the same time if you are good enough though and there is basically no counter to that unless they have aura immunity.
How on earth do you tunnel half a team? Posts like this are why I can't take tunneling complaints seriously; people think literally everything is tunneling. There's no definition of the term.
-
This is a hilarious and fun idea. Simple and creative.
-
I just wish he tricked people somehow. Unless you consider throwing knives at people a trick?

I did this. Guess what? More spawn before you can get rid of the last one. Hell, even if you dodge it more spawn before you can start.

What good is counterplay when the very action meant to be the counter is stopping you from doing so? This is like saying that nurse has counterplay because you can lightburn her. It defeats the entire ######### point anyway.
The obvious flaw with your terrible anecdote is that one does not always have a flashlight with which to burn nurse. However you always have access to the box and it's attendant counterplay. If you hate it that bad snatch it and sit in a locker all game.
And you know what? While I'm at it that pinhead played skillfully. Knowing where the box is gonna be at all times and getting to it reliably is no mean feat. He played well and was rewarded for it. Sorry you and your team weren't up to the task. GG next instead of throwing a fit and demanding nerds.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/342608/reassurance-it-s-a-killer-perk-now
I think the big point here is that Reassurance is only good for SWF now after the nerf, who already have means for preventing face-camping and tunneling with very coordinated team work.
However, for Solo-queue, where Reassurance is really needed, this nerf makes it useless because you can no longer justify bringing it with because of all the other perks you need to run. If a solo-queue player brings Reassurance in, that solo-queue player will most likely be the only one bringing it in, so they need to be able to use it multiple times for a face-camper. If a solo-queue player can only use it once per hook stage, then they are just flat out wasting their time leaving the generator to add a measly 30 seconds to the hook time. That's practically the time it takes to get to the hooked survivor and then get back to the gen, so that' times wasted for solo-queue.
In SWF, you can coordinate and bring in multiple instances of Reassurance so you can actually do something against face-camping.
Well, if nothing else, here's another DLC with mediocre-to-useless solo-queue survivor perks that I won't need to waste my money on.
30s is a whole half another hook state. If you use it on first and second hook, you've essentially given a survivor an additional hook state. This is very powerful for obvious reasons. It doesn't magically become less useful just because you're not grouped with your teammates.
I'm so sick of people blaming all the ills of the world on solo queue. Oh no, spooky scary solo! It's trite. It's boring. Grow up, it's not that bad. It's fun most of the time, even.
-
Hooks spawn in groups of three when you're holding the box. One. Two. Three. Solve. That easy. Learn how to play against something before you demand nerfs.
-
No thank you.
-
Hook states shouldn't be indefinite. Full stop. The nerf was a fair one. The perk is still extremely powerful.
-
Sometimes they get rescued, start actually playing and win. I've lost several games to survs doing this

Yey, now target is Sprint Burst!
Remove all survivor perks and make No Mither base-kit for survivors. Without unbreakable ofcourse.
For who? This dude can't even garner one sweet sweet updoot. Obviously nobody thinks sprint burst is a problem.
-
Apparently you really enjoy being stuck on the ground and you really miss the old meta.
-
Doubling the base BT was too much. 7s would have been better.
-
It won't always be the side people will play. Some folks only play one side, many don't care about BP incentives. The incentives will probably scale from 100%-0% as well. Is a 10% bonus enough to stop you playing killer if you really want to? Probably not
