People using Windows to "learn to loop" is a bad misconception. It's a great perk regardless of skill level because it shows what resources your teammate has used and what walls the killer has gotten rid of. That information is valuable regardless of skill level.
If it really bothers you that much there are perks and killers that counter it. I get good mileage out of third seal legion and kerosene bottle clown. You can tell the survs that lean hard on Windows because they lose all ability to loop as soon as they get blinded.
-
How's the game determine what "face camping" is, precisely?
Go on, tell me your original and scintillating idea. I'm sure no one here has ever heard it before.

As much as I wanna touch up on the “vault pallets” thing, I have another focus here
”its ruining solo queue”
How can a killer being strong ruin solo queue? Hell i’d say Wesker is in an almost perfect place right now imo, solo queue has its own issues but a killer won’t cause solo queue issues
Whenever people want attention or updoots they say something negative about solo queue. Context doesn't matter. Starving children are becoming a problem in solo que. My dad yells at me because of solo queue. Solo queue burned my toast. Etc etc etc.
-
Infinitely less distance on hitting a survivor, or....10% less distance on hitting survivor? These are very different things.
-
A teleport that doesn't go through obstacles. Now I've read everything.
-
Lethal is a problem. Aura perks are a problem. Stacked regression perks are a problem.
How many perk slots do you think a killer has? Ten? Pick a lane. Your enemy in a PvP title is supposed to do stuff you don't like. Get over it.
-
I will always prefer simply being able to tap a gen over basically not being able to play the game until I find and cleanse two totems. It was awful. People will just complain about anything. Aura perks are also more popular than ever.
-
Toxic is just rude stuff. You have the definitions reversed, somehow.
-
Good solo players don't exist, apparently.
-
Getting nagged all game to play poorly sounds like the most obnoxious stuff ever.
-
Obviously a survivor that is hooked should be completely invincible for the remainder of the game. Or something. Or you could just GG next and not sweat it.
-
You're lying.
You have something like 40s at half infection before you become fully infected. You couldn't get to a pallet in forty seconds? Even with the video conference addon it's like what 23s? 10 of which you're moving at 110% speed. And you couldn't get to a pallet. That's a lie. You don't have to disassemble to make your point, just phrase it differently. This is embarrassing.
-
A semi regular occurrence that I have literally never seen. Fascinating.
-
They say all kinds of stuff. Remember automatic bans? Remember when moris were going to be forced every match? It's better to expect absolutely nothing.
-
Onryo and wraith have absolutely nothing in common with Spirit. Bizzare comparison.
-
Ah, my reward for finding, downing and carrying a survivor to a scourge hook is to uhhhh.... Give one survivor, somewhere, a skill check. Seems worth it.
-
I see you want to go back to the game desperately needing killer players.
-
Trapper huddling in the corner while survivors take turns shooting him in the face

wait so it's free without need for prime subscription ? and every one can use it?
No, the last one was a plague skin that was already in the rift. If you already had the skin, you couldn't redeem the code. And you can't give away the code on the official forum. Lol.

wait wait, if 3/4man-swf only has a 44%-48% escape rate which is lower than kill rates.
why everyone states that SWF are unstoppable and should be nerfed inmediately ?
All swfs are not created equally. My group is not very good and we mostly just chat while we play. It's fun. For similar reasons when they buff solo it'll be a buff for swf as well.
-
The hardware is identical, so I wouldn't expect a difference aside from perhaps decreased battery consumption, darker blacks and better contrast on the screen.
-
I've been playing with enduring spirit fury to hopefully help survs out with this. On the survivor side? Still haven't gotten it. Probably never will.

True, even with surv incentive, find a lobby as a killer is about 5 to 10 or even more minutes.
People say this, but I have literally never experienced it.
-
Good perk, as it deserves to be. It's not ten stacked regression perks or a scourge hook or Lethal or whatever the complaint of the week is, so what's the problem?
-
He only has tentacles for like twenty minutes in resident evil 5, yet that's his entire identity in DBD. When he was in what, half a dozen games without them? It's just silly to me.
-
It's because dead hard is still good and more interactive to use.

There is a way to buff solo without buffing swf.
There really isn't.

People seem to accidentally lose internet after going down in chase after about ten seconds or not getting to head on stun and getting locker grabbed or seeing my franklin's an awful lot. It's very strange the stuff that makes internet give up. Someone should write a paper on it.

Thanks for your sympathy.
They made the game. How are they not at fault?
Because they can't make the Dwight come and unhook you? Do you want them to come to his house and mash his face against the keyboard until he's broken and sobbing and comes and does a pointless hook trade? Like they're not responsible for an individual player's actions cuz people are people. They're going to do what they want.
-
I'm sorry you had a bad match and decided to blame the game developers for some bizzare reason

@GoodBoyKaru said:
If they buffed Distortion to 11 seconds then I'd consider it, but the fact that I lose 2 tokens at the very start of the match means that I'd rather use perks I'm able to get far more consistent value out of. Especially since I'm actually confident in my ability to last longer than my teammates
You get the tokens back trivially vs any killer with a standard terror radius. The last time I ran out of distortion tokens was vs. a blight with the aura addon. It just doesn't happen.
-
Luckily keeping distortion at max stacks is trivial vs any killer with a standard terror radius.

90% of my own matches.
Sick anecdote. I'm having fun on survivor. Reckon my anecdote cancels yours out.

Not sure why No Mither would catch on with this.
If you have one survivor with no mither just chasing the killer, bodyblocking them every time they get into a chase and the killer can either hook them which does nothing, or slug them which does nothing, then that's a frustrating experience for the killer and honestly maybe an efficient use of that survivor's time. Invincible survivors are annoying if you remember the short lived "endurance meta"

I don't need a date just a yes or no because a ton of comments and videos summarizes how trash experience can be.
I need to try to ask, this other killer sided one was answered...
Holy Christ you think bug fixes are killer sided. Lost cause.
-
Any buff to solo will also be a buff to swf. Excellent all caps title tho.
-
It's strange to me that nobody ever mentions that this is also a huge buff to swf. My party doesn't mention everything they do all the time or communicate effectively all the time. This removes any mistake or miscommunication from the equation. Massively powerful.
-
It's remarkable that you thought of stuff for every single survivor. Well done.
But just like every one of these suggestions, it'd make one survivor meta. In this case it'd probably be kate. +5% unconditional gen speeds is deceptively powerful. It'd be a bummer to have Jonah be your favorite survivor, but to choose him hinders you and your entire team because he's suboptimal.
-
Well, it's a way to make no mither meta I guess
-
If you have two addon slots free, how is that "hard mode"?
-
Well, at least you didn't call it unplayable without any caveats. That's progress.
-
You understand many of these are horrible nerfs, yes?
-
I really didn't mind the old one. The only way to do the new one is to tank your MMR until you're vs. potatoes then play as nasty as possible.
-
Holy Christ ten second BT plus speed boost isn't enough? Of course it's not. It's never enough.
You're looking at the killer and going unga bunga killer bad with no consideration for how it would feel for the person playing the killer to be yanked to the other side of the map. No consideration for how demoralizing it'd feel for a double-endurance BT user to block you from doing anything for twenty seconds.
-
If you truly think this, why would you advertise it?

Disclaimer: I'm not a survivor main, it feels like you have to clarify this these days when you make observations about the game. So, about Wesker:
-He's got too dashes, in case he misses one like demo, he's got a second chance.
-If you're about to vault, even if you "win the vault" as survivor, he'll be right up behind you, unlike Demo, who would go on cooldown if he misses.
-He's got zoning capabilities, even if he misses the first dash, he's got a chance that the survivor is outpositioned behind any object trying to avoid the second dash so he just goes on cooldown and M1 the survivor, I've done this several times and it happened to me as survivor. It's easy sometimes to outposition a survivor or zone them by faking the dash or going into cooldown.
-He's got a built in slow down, like Nemesis, or Pig, where survivors need to do a secondary objective.
-He's got a passive tracking ability (when survivors use the sprays he can see killer instinct) and the difference with Nemesis is that if he wants you, he can cover a lot of distance to get to you, making it easy to tunnel someone that just got unhooked and is clearing their infection.
-Map mobility, can hook and be on a distant gen almost immediately.
-Larger Terror Radius, so he benefits from perks like Starstruck, Coulrophobia, Unnerving Presence...
-He's got an "insta down" and hindered effect if you don't use the spray. Unlike Nemesis, he forces survivors to remove the virus/infection, making it stronger than Nemesis' passive ability since 99% of the time you won't have much choice but to remove the infection. With Nemesis, you don't need to remove it and he'll still need to hit you twice to down you and you won't be slowed down.
-Animations and audio queues are confusing, all you can hear is that squishy tentacle sound, it's hard to tell if he's going for a second dash, going on cooldown, faking the charge... I can hear him laughing while charging the first dash, but other than that, the animation is the same. Comparing it to nurse, she's got a clear cooldown/fatigue animation and audio cue.
-He came out on a patch where gen times are increased and the killer meta is to stack as many regression perks as possible, even more than when gens were 80 seconds. So basically, stack like 2 or 3 regression perks (eruption, pain resonance, overcharge+call of brine, etc...) and even if you're half decent you'll destroy almost any team.
-He can hit two survivors at once, which is mostly going to happen when camping and hit+apply infection the survivor unhooking and apply endurance on the unhooked. Not very important, but you can say he's stronger at camping than any average M1 killer.
-He's also one of the killers like Deathslinger and Twins that can stop you last second when you're about to leave.
-You can't flashlight save if he grabs the survivor using his dash (I've already tried it a few times, he's got iframes for flashlights even during his animation)
-Standard 115% speed, so for all I named before there is no trade off, like Death Slinger, or Hag, or Trickster, who are sort of forced to rely on their power and loop at 110%. Wesker can use his power or play like any 115% killer.
-Indirect: He added a new perk to make Starstruck Nurse even stronger (awakened awareness).
I think that's about it, I'm probably missing something, like an addon, or a strong perk combination, but let's compare him with Wraith for instance, who has no slowdown, no automatic vault, no secondary objective, nothing. Or clown, who only has bottles, not even map mobility like wraith (unless you count the antidote as map mobility).
So... what do you guys think?
Stacking regression perks on him is an issue, but also terror radius perks are a problem on him.
You know killers only have four perk slots, right? It's gotta be one or the other. Or just say "perks are overpowered on him. All of them. All of the perks."
-
I've been getting excellent stakeout value.
-
Doesn't really matter how loud and bright a gen is if it's done while you're travelling to it. I'm sure blights and nurses would love that though.

I'm assuming they are referring to slugging for the bleedout/camping (Toxic) and defending a 3-gen (holding the game hostage)
Yeah slugging has a four minute time limit and defending their objective doesn't really count as holding anything hostage. Doesn't track.

Lol, use your imagination, it is a very common and an easiest thing to do.
I have played a great deal of dead by daylight and in my experience the game progresses no matter what. I cannot think of a scenario where a killer can stall out a game. I suspect you can't either, considering how vague this post is.
