Does AA even do anything now? With no linger you won't be able to see survs after you hook.
-
Nothing will make you people happy short of ten minute invincibility after being unhooked. Jesus Christ. They doubled the effect. You can outrun 110%ms killers.
-
I'm sure the all caps is what this discussion needed.
-
I love the oil idea cuz it's just so goofy. Yes, I would love to watch Claudette dump a bucket of lard on her head so that she can go wrassle Trapper. Yes please.
-
It's because behavior didn't bribe the tiny elves that run that console with enough brown sugar. So they just do the bare minimum.
Oh. No lies? Damn.
-
Everyone would just turn them off for an advantage at hearing where the killer is at all times.

No, I get that. It is asking too much for the devs. I'm not suggesting every perk gets reworked for every killer, just ones like Thana with Legion. I also see a lot of people complain about Nurse being OP and wanting her to be nerfed which may very well happen. In my experience of playing this game, the worst nurse games are ones that run starstruck with IF. You just get slugged and lay on the ground bored hoping someone brought Unbreakable, but only for it to happen again and their UB is gone. Is the answer nerfing her or just those perks on her. I don't know. I just know a lot of people are complaining about her and it may be enough that BHVR listens like they have in the past with other killers that got nerfed.
Oh, I misread your post then.
A better solution rather than evaluating every perk is to look at the base problems. Perks are good on nurse? Well no perks are good on nurse as well because she ignores entire gameplay elements. A moderately experienced nurse can win with her meme addons and no perks cuz of just how she is. This is a problem with nurse, not perks and should be addressed.
Being slugged for four minutes sucks. So after a period of time survivors should be able to bleed out much faster. Stuff like that.
-
That heartwarming moment when you load into a match, hear that awful screech. One teammate disconnects immediately and the rest run to the nearest hook and wait to die. It's nice how folks come together and just say no to nurse.
-
The game is supposed to be accessible and consistent because at it's heart, it is a casual party game. They're never going to add arbitrary rules governing what perks work what way on what killer. Aside from the obvious issues of them not having the dev bandwidth and the QA nightmare it would be.

Yeah 10s would be enough. 5s should be basekit.
If you did anything like this you'd have to give the killer a hook counter and an ability to differentiate between identity survivors.
-
They wanted to incentivize killers to not camp or tunnel. Not disable their ability to do so entirely.
-
Nuthin. It's just a meme. I get good teammates, I get bad teammates. Sometimes I'm a good teammate, sometimes I'm not. Same as always.

Sometimes I meet killers which directly boosting that they tunnel and camp because its fun and ez. Collectors of -rep.
Every time I read about -rep I desperately wish I had this game on steam. God, having pages of salty survivors would be exquisite.
-
Call of brine requires a time investment from the killer that can be disabled by survivors in less than a second. It requires no nerfs.
-
Pretty fun! I've been trying out dark Sense on survivor and all the "meta" perks on killer. Dark sense is actually really good vs. Killers with non standard terror radii. Basically won me the game vs wallhack Myers with the t2 build.
Queue times also seem to have normalized and are better than before? Very fast regardless of side. I suspect they tweaked the matchmaking algo tho.

There have been plenty of posts on this forum about tunneling, if you're interested you can go read one of those, thats not what this post is about. I'm just bringing this topic to the light of day again.
You acknowledge that there's plenty of posts moaning about tunneling, then choose to make yet another one. Except devoid of any content.
Okay then.
-
Really constructive topic. You've got a lot of valid complaints and inventive solutions to those complaints here.
-
You're making a lot of sweeping and general statements in your opener without any examples at all to back them up. Not even an anecdote. Like what exactly is your problem with her and how she interacts with the game?
-
It's not as good as old pop by itself. Better with DMS tho.

LOFL. I'm totally with you OP. If this game is supposed to be fun in some way for both sides, Pinhead is the worst killer in the game by far in terms of fun to play against. Especially in solo where you cant coordinate who gets the box and when and some survivors still dont seem to understand how it works.
Just replace this with any killer and you have half the topics on this forum.

I still think they should at least put a 20 second to 25 second cool down time on hooks or longer. There are ways to prevent survivors from camping, there should be some way to prevent killers from camping hooks. By “sometimes” you’re insinuating that most of the time you won’t be able to save the survivor from being camped and killed. That isn’t fair to the player who is being camped to stay on the hook for that long and die.
Survivors...... camping? I don't understand what you mean.
-
You just wrote an essay about how killers shouldn't get any pressure from having survivors on the hook. Obviously an issue.
Killers that want to take advantage of the auto unhook will also just go back to the hook when they know it will happen and tunnel the survivor. Uncoordinated teams will not unhook anymore, knowing that there's an auto unhook. Making it more predictable for folks who want to tunnel off hook.
-
Hooks and pallets are in no way equivalent. One can be used at will and the other is conditional on a down. What a bizzare complaint.
-
I had a Cheryl last night trying to kill themselves on hook. They got rescued and then stomped me. Turns out third seal legion is imminently beatable. Who would have thought?
-
There shouldn't be a perk that just straight up counters a status effect. I'm fine with like resurgence and that Jane perk not allowing to to dip below their respective amounts though
-
I'd love for doctor to get his increased.
-
I'm sorry you had a bad game that time.
Constructive topic for furthering the hostile tribalism that is absolutely the worst part of this game.
-
I do the same thing. Map offering? Gloves are off.
-
It's five seconds with a speed boost. It's saved me innumerable times. If they made it ten seconds they'd want it thirty seconds, if they make it thirty seconds they'd want it to give an indefinite endurance token.
It's not meant to disable hitting a survivor off the hook. It's meant to disincentivize it.
-
Just go play survivor. It's fun.
-
Killer does things, has a power. Go figure.
-
I don't even pay attention to it. What's high and low? Is 100 the max or does it count from 100 to 1?
Oh, this also reads like "how do you do, fellow killers? Don't you enjoy picking on survivors like I, a fellow killer main does?"

That skill check is pretty difficult, especially when you don't know it's coming.
Even when you do, it's much more difficult than DS.
You could buff the regression back to PTB levels if you made the skill check a little easier, imo.
It's supposed to be difficult. That's..... That's the point. Sometimes things in games are hard. Yeah it catches you off guard the first time, maybe. Then what?
-
Hatch or gate. I let them wiggle off and try to find it independently.

Killers can very much take you to basement very far away with perks. And while I may haven't ended up in basement as much compared to other people, there's many times where my teammates end up in basement which creates a constant 1 for 1 for the entire match which is unengaging and repetitive.
It doesn't help that basement has a guaranteed chance of spawning and also has an elevated counterpart that has the same effect and is on almost every map; aka hooks on hills.
If they're running iron grasp and agitation then hey! They're not running the five hundred gen perks people constantly moan about. All you have to do is trade judiciously and enjoy your free three man escape.
-
So they're simultaneously too strong and useless. Gotcha. Makes sense.
-
Do people like OP ever get sick of griping about the same stuff over and over again?
Yes, killers have perks. Yes, they do stuff you don't like. Boo hoo. Every PvP title has foes that are supposed to stop you from doing the stuff you want. It's frustrating and alternately fun when you overcome them. If you want to play a PvE version of DBD I reckon you can play the tutorial over and over again.
-
It's way more fun to play altruistically. I'll go back and save the last teammate on hook when the exit gate is open or 99ed.
-
It's incredibly useful. I've gotten several escapes I wouldn't have without it. If it were 30 seconds you people wouldn't be pleased with it.
-
@Ryuhi said:
...isn't that a good thing? I thought people hated being slugged since it was forcing non-interaction upon them.
People hate everything. They hate being slugged. The hate being hooked. They hate it when killers respect DS. They hate it when killers don't respect DS. There's no way to play the game and appease everyone.
-
Constant cleanse is underrated. If you can deny plague getting her power at a time of her choosing it can be very useful.

Nope, as far as I could tell he was trying to get there the whole time. But yes I'm also sorry that occurred
If your teammate spent nearly three minutes to figure out how to route to a big glowy box that he could see through walls I've got bad news for you: you were not going to win that game regardless of killer. If he couldn't find the thing you can see at all times he certainly can't find gens. If he's enough of a potato to run into the same room multiple times then he certainly can't run the killer for any appreciable time.
-
You say these killers are "camping and tunneling" yet provide no context. What exactly is camping and tunneling to you?

Actually based on the aggregate site I follow the most popular perks at the moment are a bit different than before the patch. They are
- Prove Thyself (22%)
- Windows of Opporunity (22%)
- Lithe (21%) and Sprint Burst (19%)
- Adrenaline (18%)
The surpise here is how Windows of Opportunity is apparently seeing a big uptick versus two months ago since it didn’t change in the patch rework. But it’s definitely popular, I think even high level survivors are realizing the value of always knowing exactly where to run to get to a pallet or vault.
It was popular before. I saw it on 2/4 survs on average I'd say.

@Aneurysm said:
There is one map which her power was actually an issue for me.
RCPD and she had the purple addon where you start with the tape. One of us, the Adam, wasn't able to find the route to his TV and...yeah. 0 hooks one dead at 5 gens, of all my solo games that was definitely one of them
I'm sorry that your teammate took nearly three minutes to find the right TV? I can only assume they were doing a gen and ignoring the tape cuz while rpd is big and annoying it's not " takes three minutes to make a lap" annoying.
-
I've been running distortion lately and getting a great deal of value from it. I've been seeing more aura perks in my games since the patch. It sucks that I can't let my teammates know about lethal at the beginning of the match, but eh.

@GrimoireWeiss said:
Legion is boring, therefore longer Legion matches = longer boredom.
The worst is that the Legion who run 4 slowdowns are always the bad ones that can't down survivors anywhere that isn't a deadzone, so they always put you to mend and go somewhere else.
There aren't even four slowdown perks in the game. What are you talking about?
-
It's going to be absolutely miserable.
-
I've literally never paid any attention to it.
