  • There kinda is anti slug. Saving and using your team ability while slugged lets you pick yourself back up, you don't even need to be caged for it to activate now as of this variation of 2v8

feel like they should really add more effects as far as blood and guts I know that they're afraid of being banned but I'm pretty sure most games have a lot worse visuals and still get away with it I think adding this would make the game feel less "Not Scary" and might add a little edge towards the horror side but that's just my opinion how about you guys?

    as always love you guys!

I wish there were unique animations and visual effects for what part of a survivor's body is mangled by a certain weapon. Like getting hit in the leg would make the survivor limp instead of holding their chest. Their leg would also have skin revealed on the area of the attack, with blood trickling below it, or just being fully red

To me it's distracting, especially as a survivor because i instinctively think someone gets injured when in fact they were unhooked, previous effect was eye catching enough, new one is annoying. At the very least they should let us choose which one to have.

They should let us customize alot of HUD elements. Duration, effect size, effect color and strength. Hopefully it gets easier later in the games existence. I was hoping one day dbd could be as customizable as Marvel Rivals is

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: unhook UI uses wrong VFX - before it used to flash yellow before transitioning from hooked icon into injured icon, now it uses injury VFX (red flash) when going from hooked to injured

    PLATFORM: all

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:

    1. Hook survivor
    2. Unhook survivor

    VIDEO:

    PLAYER LOGS:

    • Player logs are required from PC players only.

The injure effect plays for both roles AND is more visible. Personally this feels like an accessibility upgrade since its more eye catching

  • Based on the perks, add ons and killer being played. Running brutal and walking through zoned/edge map pallets is likely to work out in your favour as a killer. You just eat the stun when you push the surv onto the bad side, insta break and secure a down for free kost of the time

Say that again please? I see killers camp the hook every 3rd game at 5 generators or 4 generators. They don't camp when they are losing they camp whenever they want or if they wanna you know secure the game and win it immediately and as I said again nothing can stop them hell even kindred can be countered the killer just has to stay a little bit far away which they do anyways. How can you tell he is camping if he has to be outisde the aura reading range of the perk. Unless someone decides to combine the perk with open handed and now we wasted 2 perk slots in the name of knowing 2 things and that is if the killer is camping or not and if any survivor is gonna go save whoever is on the hook. I would say very underwelming effects for like 2 perk slots.

Anti camp meter should be visible to all survivors, and then kindred should get a rework

I think that outside of organized SWFs, CoH is useless. I play predominantly solo Q, and whenever I boon (CoH), my teammates avoid the boon like a plague. If they are injured, they make sure to heal far away from the boon (outside of the boon area). If I'm injured and inside the boon, even though my aura is revealed, no-one makes an effort to come heal me.

The way this perk was nerfed was bad, and I called it. The perk is not worth running in solo Q.

I will repropose my suggestions for CoH from back then, to make it a viable solo Q perk, but also strategic:

    1. enable self-heals
    2. when snuffed by the killer, the boon perks go on a 30-60 sec cooldown. this will disincentivize mindless booning anywhere, anytime, and incentivize strategic booning (where, when), so that the killer doesn't immediately find the boon; you'd also have to pay attention to not bring the killer to the boon during the chase
    3. the (self-) healing speed will depend on the proximity to the totem. The speed would be the highest right near the totem, but would drop the further you are. This would make healing on another floor not "just an easy heal". You would have to make choice to either take longer to self-heal on another floor, or go close to the boon for better self-healing speed, but risk the killer catching you and/or the boon, and then snuff it and trigger a cooldown
    4. optional - when healing has been done for X amount of seconds within the boon area, the boon dies out, and the boon perks of the booner go on a cooldown. you could also make it that if the booner wants to reboon before the first one dies out, the start of boon interaction on a new totem immediately snuffs out the old boon, and triggers a cooldown, while also cancelling the new bless interaction instantly. (similar to when you touch a totem and Dominance kicks you off the totem). rebooning while there's an active boon would kick you off the totem, snuff out the old boon, and trigger a cooldown

This imo would make the boons useful for solo Q and incentivize strategic use (instead of simple mindless booning without punishment).

I would say COH, Shadow Step & Exponential are all good. The problem with boons in general are that high mobility killers will quickly be able to find you and the totem when you're trying to heal.

Boons could be half decent if there was no universal sound for killers, but they increase the audio produced by boon chimes. They should also make them non snuffable for the first minute or two of their activation, but make totems break when they are snuffed out (basekit shattered hope)

Dark Theory and Illumination need either more effects or number increases along with boon basekit buffs as listed above

Its all abt positioning as well, you can't die like edge map or smth or ur gonna get hooked in a corner where its hard for teammates to approach a double save. Killers often camp because they're scared of losing gens too fast or they already have and need to get someone out early, which is a problem in itself. Gens are too fast, and its too easy to force a 1v3 early

To you yes but to me people need to know because to them the way things currently are is fine

Well the machanic isn't suppose to come into play anyway, thats kinda its whole purpose existing. Yes its build up needs to be increased and it should be aware of cheesable elevation strats, but you have to remember getting camped is likely because you're winning.

Similarly with other machanics available that simply aren't visible to teammates, your teammates are likely the problem. Solo queue is a terrible experience, you never know how good your killer is and how ass your teammates are. Most of the time they're completely unaware of their surroundings and HUD, which hopefully gets some accessibility buffs soon like woth the mending visual

Do you? Because 5 really isn't that much, especially if you know actually anything about how the penalty system in DBD works, because it doesn't have to be five consecutive DC's either. Though you were in another thread not even understanding how the penalty for gen speed works when multiple survs are on a gen, so that's not surprising.

DC penalties to this severity, exist only to keep a game functional that's in a highly competitive state, mostly always esports games. That's a fact. Name another asymm or pvp game, that's not esports, that locks players out for 72 hrs after 7 DCs or have penalty time limits that deescalate only a single level of severity, after 24 hrs, taking an entire week to deescalate 7 DC's back to start. Then explain to me why DBD needs that, but doesn't need competitive balancing.

Clearly DBD is unfun and miserable, that's why BHVR has to urgently do a "QoL update" and halt actual content, because most Survs don't want to be in a match (Most Survs are SoloQ) lol You also never answered, why aren't all PVP games filled with bots or empty lobbies if DC penalties are soooooo needed yet almost all PVP games lack DC penalties? Maybe it's because other PVP games are actually fun and engaging, hmmmm?

You and I both know that BHVR should be focusing on fixing why people are DCing and going next, not further penalizing players because they don't want to sit in a unfun match and no amount of force is going to do that. Also let's be clear, the going next epidemic is a SoloQ issue and the penalties that are going to be handed out to those who die at 2nd hook phase, is an issue that is solely going to decimate SoloQ even more, SWF don't do that.

If your intent is to shill for the game until all that is left are sweaty S-Tier Killers and SWF groups, then keep on trucking, you will surely get that!

Maybe no one wants to read what you have to say since its so ######### long? Also why would you expect anyone on forums to know how the dc penalty works? Like i said, no one here dcs from any matches intentionally, besides you clearly, you must really hate the game if ur dcing 5 or more times, which you've seemed to have proven.

Regarding the gen speed, that misinformation is something i learned from a Kyto video explaining what the red bar means when stacking. It actually does both, the speed increases (Obviously), which in turn increases item consumption rate. Obviously the gen is being repaired faster, otherwise there would be no point to stacking, which there already isn't a point in doing so since splitting pressure is better.

Someone needs to read up on dbd wiki, get to it chump

Match starts Immediately he found someone and one-hit down. hooked them then immediatly found someone else also a one-hit down (by this point it's not looking good). while he's busy with them I managed to get a generator done but after one had already killed themselves he hooked another survivor when i went to save them he came back to the hook resulting in one-hit downing me. He came up to my hook to make sure no one was around then went as far back as the picture standing there till I died on my first hook

I know they said they are making some changes for anti-camping but in my previous posts regarding this issue I was mocked and disregarded because they said it was a "anti-FACE camp" mechanism so people need to know a killer who is smart is not going to stand too close the same way they are smart enough to bait a pallet/locker even I have camped careful not to stand too close but in my case they outplayed me and genrushed so I didn't get a single hook till 2 gens couldn't even hurt anyone because they kept running to every pallet but this guy (leatherface if you couldn't tell) had this in the palm of his hand already had 4 hooks and one dead but guess what even though he camped. when he found the last survivor he got the points for killing them with the EGC mori so dbd is rewarding toxic behavior but penalizes us whenever we want to get out of it sometimes i just want to be like hey I'm not like the 4 man squad who tbags and carries a fully equipped flashlight to bully you I'm just a solo survivor trying to play the game I have loved for years

Duh, thats why its getting buffed later on this year, as stated in the operation health phase 2 plan 🤷‍♂️

Those arent really the changes that have killers upset. Its whats coming in phase 2.

Survivors have really powerful (some too powerful) tools and when you are facing half decent survivors, a killer MUST use some kind of strategy. In hook metas a lot of the time that is tunneling. There is not enough time in the match with how fast gens fly to 12 hook a whole team. You just cant.

Now hooks have become so weak, and survivors have so much obnoxious BS around being hooked and making hooking stupid hard or even impossible, that killers have started to slug. Every single time killers come up with a strategy that works survivors complain until it gets nerfed or hard removed.

Its this hard removal of player agency from the killer side that has me in particular so upset. Matches are dynamic and killers have to be able to react to what happens in a match but when you start taking away playstyles you are limiting killers to only be able to react to certain things. Meanwhile survivors have no such restrictions. Killer is supposed to be the power role but with all of these nerfs that have happened with things being straight up removed or hard capped, and the upcoming changes that will gut other effective playstyles killer is increasingly feeling less and less like the power role.

Removal of player agency will kill this game. Its a super bad thing and no one should be for it. The devs are about to make a massive mistake and start bleeding killer players which could begin a doom loop. If BhVR does go through with this and takes away player agency like they seem to plan on, I will not continue playing the game.

Well said. All i ask is if they introduce anti tunnel, slugging and camping machanics that they at least make a secondary objective for survivors in the same patch. Gens can't be flying like this, almost no non S tier killer can come back from these occurrences. On the other hand, if there is a secondary objective, survivors should be able to play an actual 1v4 more often while gens are slower. Its simply unfun to die fast and its really unfun to lose all gens in 5-7 minutes

  • @Roco45 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3886785#Comment_3886785

Yea okay, people are going to stop playing when they get DC penalties for missing the 2nd hook phase skill check lol Or when every match of SoloQ turns into getting slugged and then voting to end the game. All the while, SWF is neither addressed properly nor is tunneling/camping/slugging. Band aid fixes for a wound that requires stitches are just going to keep on bleeding and assuredly will get infected.

Also, I think a lot of people aren't aware of how astoundingly awful the DC penalties are in this game, a game that's not even competitive. Someone DC 5 times in a row within 24 hours and report back what your accumulative penalty is, I already know the answer to that, but I know that 99% of the people on this forum have not a clue.

I mean, people who go next don't stop playing, the people who have to experience teammates going next stop playing. If they're so selfish enough to leave a match then they should be punished, and while they're banned from matchmaking, that's one less ######### ruining games for on average 24 other survivor players per hour.

They're not gonna stop playing the game entirely, they gotta keep that ego nice and big and fragile so that when they do quit because they simply got outplayed, they're punished justly and hopefully learn their lesson to not do that again.

Assuming this penalty is big enough to save more people from the offending players, hopefully it gets bumped to an hour minamum and they put measures in place to detect unintentional dcs like crashes

No one knows what 5 consecutive penalties do because people here for the most part actually think abt their actions and stick their games out. Do you know because you've dced 5 times in a row? Was this an experiment you ran or did you purposely do it?

  • @Nazzzak said:

All the "it's a killer sided update" vs "it's a survivor sided update" posts on this forum are giving me whiplash lol I think both sides are getting some give and take in this update

There are problems on both sides that need to be fixed desperately, but they need to be fixed at the same time, otherwise one role will be left way stronger than the other. In this case, survivor will be way better than basically all killers

Individual killers need nerfs and buffs, along with a way to slow gens down a little bit. Too many problems with game balance right now, like why does Nurse, Spirit and Blight still exist in their current states? Why can SWF's completely destroy the killer experience by playing the game as intended under high coordination and resource combination?

  • @Nazzzak said:

Doubling on a gen does repair faster than if only one person were on there, but you'll get overall more gen progress if you split up because there's a basekit penalty on co-op. That would be what they're referring to. It's why experienced players will always split up at the start of the game. It's more efficient for everyone to be on separate gens than all on the same one.

Ik that, but he didn't seem to know what the red bar actually meant

  • @danielmaster87 said:

The crazy thing is the spawn rule is already in place! 9/10 times, my teammates and I spawn in the same place. Occasionally 1 will spawn on another corner of the map, like on Azarov's Resting Place or something. Maybe they're trying to make it a guarantee that all 4 spawn together?

Thats not enough. There should be a secondary objective to progress gens for survivors. Holding m1 on a gen is boring and lacks interactions, its too fast and makes short chases seem like long enough to sell a whole game since 2-3 gens can pop instantly.

I suggested already that generators parts become required after a gen obtains a certain percentage of progress. Upon finding and installing the part, the gen would no longer regress passed a certain percentage

  • @AmpersandUnderscore said:

Anti gen rush is already in the game, and had existed so long people take it for granted.

There's a base kit, stacking repair penalty for survivors grouping up on gens.

Thats an item efficiency penalty, not a speed penalty. Why would anyone double a gen if it doesn't repair faster?

  • @doobiedo said:

This game is killer sided enough as it is as every non-biased player knows, so why is Bhvr. nerfing survivor even more by forcing solo survivors to spawn together so we can be wiped out by a Billy with lethal at the start of the match. In addition they want to make it impossible to hide at endgame and all, basically just give the killer free kills, and they want to try and punish players who refuse to be forced to stay in every 12 year old killer main's sado fantasy.

I understand that Phase 2 will supposedly add more survivor sided changes, but wouldn't it make more sense to mix it up rather than being like "well we're going to completely destroy gameplay for one side, but its okay we'll make it more even a few months later." Good luck keeping survivors even playing until then.

As a more general question, why is everyone on the forums getting so excited about this? It's like you guys forget this is Bhvr. we're talking about. Bhvr. must have read how so many people were posting about how dbd needs some sort of health initiative, and they decided to just announce one, knowing that no one will pay attention to what's actually in it. They were exactly right, they have been showered with praise by the unwashed masses, and anyone with reservations, even slight ones, is being shouted down.

Everything we know about Bhvr's history, as well as what changes have already been described, shows clearly that this will likely be a disaster. Even if Bhvr. eventually gets the game somewhere closer to right, going by the kinds of changes they've announced so far it's going to be a long time till then. So go right ahead thinking Bhvr. has suddenly figured it all out, I'll just stay cynical so I'm not disappointed once again.

Yeah icl not a single change in this game health plan aims to improve the killer experience, besides spawn rules which will make gen rushing slightly less fast

This game just keeps getting more and more survivor sided with no buffs to killer at the same time

  • @Lixadonna said:

Or they could just put the player name over the character like they do in the lobby or in other games like Overwatch 2, Call of Duty or Fall Guys to name a few.

Kills the mood of dbd, thats kinda like putting a health bar over their heads.

Unique survivors in a lobby should just be required. Queues already filter this in 2v8 when finding a killer teammate, since you can't have dupes, survivors shouldn't either just cus its confusing

  • @Coffeecrashing said:

Keyboard and mouse on consoles might cause large killer nerfs.

You want a hot take? Console killers have been dragging down the average killer winrates for years, because trying to play killer on a controller is hot trash.

For example, when the official killer stats said Blight had a 59% kill rate, was it really a 59% kill rate? Or was it something like 65% PC kill rate and 50% console kill rate?

If enough of the console users change to mouse and keyboard, will it raise the kill rates enough that large killer nerfs would need to be added to the game?

Im certainly gonna be upset that i have to play against more blights, which he does need to be nerfed to maybe 3 rushes and longer cooldowns per rush with other little buffs sprinkled in there. Allow him to use his power no matter his tokens, like wesker, first rush should be infinite until a bump, its just a weaker billy sprint

Still brainstorming ideas for Nurse nerf but thats unrelated to this post

Turn rate killers should likely just have a max degrees per second turn rate thats cannot be bypassed by any means. So no dpi enhancers, cursor sensitivity won't affect the game's camera when you reach the game's cap.

Personally i find all turn rate killers to be really boring, since majority of the time it is just pc players abusing their easier controls and potential exploits because of the high sense

  • @Roco45 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3884794#Comment_3884794

Exactly this! SWF need to be nerfed with gen speeds, tools, and perks. When that happens, they will be closer to SoloQ level, making the game easier to balance for everyone and guess what, I bet the SWF groups will be miserable dealing with a game closer to the SoloQ level.

Then once SWF are nerfed, real anti-camp and anti-slug mechanics can be put into the game and it won't blow the game up for Killers facing a SWF because they will be nerfed.

For instance, mechanics like the anti-camp meter is always increasing and varies speed depending on how close the Killer is and doesn't get voided by a chase happening near the hook (only gets voided by insidious), so while the Killer is hard camping because they have no skill, the person on hook can unhook themselves when the opportunity arises and the person occupying the Killer near the hook can continue to do so and possibly escape.

But anyway, we are getting crappy QoL changes from BHVR that are just going to make the game more miserable and more spiteful while not addressing the real issues with the game that have snowballed into what we have now.

Thankfully operation health is in order, so these issues will be resolved for DBD's double digit anniversary. Something still needs ti be dine about SWF's though, since they can coordinate powerful builds that make killer super unfun, when the games already survivor sided

The Legion has 4 members, and 2 members of the same Legion should be able to play together in 2v8.

I think the FNAF chapter might work like that, where you can switch between the 4 anamatronics around the map. Thats always what i thought legion would be, Knights kinda like that but the "secondary killer" is temporary

  • @WolfePhD said:

What if Legion in 2v8 could only queue with other players that are also playing Legion? It upsets me that the killer known for being in groups … is not in a group … in the group mode.

U mean u want duplicate killers? This could be fun, but also super problematic. 2 weskers, nurses, blight's would be super unfun to vs.

What they should do is boost xp and bp when playing certain characters, like mobile used to do. Killers should also be selectable in the pre game lobby, since currently u can lose your whole power as legion to a careless teammate running the shadow skill

  • @Falcao said:

Do you really think that the bonus to bp and exp will make people tolerate this? disable Legion and never add it to this mode again. My awnser to your question, yes.

The thing with Legion is that they are the weakest killer in this mode. Survivors heal and mend way faster than the damage Legion can do, plus they're just an M1 killer at the end of the day. Lol, you're in every post about legion in 2v8 too. Another broken record saying the same things. Lemme sum up what the majority of people's experiences are for you too.

Imma say it flat out; No one wants to play against a legion in 2v8.

It's not a hard concept to grasp. We know they are an m1 killer after frenzy. That is not the point being addressed. What's being addressed is the fact that the experience of going against a legion is not fun or interactive. You are either mending, healing, or unhooking. Idk why you're not getting it either. There is no chase involved BECAUSE there is another killer mopping up after a frenzy hit. Instant downs, no time for loops, no survivor skill expression. Just bland, stale gameplay. This is the point.

You can say it's because there is no mmr, and other people suck (paraphrasing). Still doesn't change the fact you're mending more than you're doing gens. This is MY experience. We know your matches differ cause you're just better. We get it. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Other people are less fortunate to get baby survivors in their lobbies. Hell, less fortunate even to get a legion/blight combo with undetectable to go against.

Don't discredit people's experiences against a legion in 2v8 by saying its a skill issue (paraphrasing what you said). You offer no insight or tips to combat legion in 2v8, and even then, all counter points have been addressed in those conversations. No one is attacking your main bro. If youre a legion main just say that, and stop hiding behind your passive aggressive posts blaming other people cause they suck. Us vs them conversations are not helping this game mode become better.

The point being made is this iteration is worse because they added legion into it. Simple. It is evident because this time around, they had to add bots and double exp incentive just to get people to play the game. Ik ALOT of people who take a two week break when 2v8 comes around simply cause of the queue times for both modes. Why do you think the incentives are for both modes?

There are so many posts about legion being unfun to play against. Most of them are negative. If most are negative, it's safe to assume people don't like this new aspect of the game mode. It surely is not helping BHVR to get people to play the survivor role in 2v8. Having to implement bots, then go around and take them away, then having to do double exp and 400% bp obviously says a lot about the player base not attending the role.

I hope you can read this and comprehend what is being said. Thank you for your time and have a good day.

Bro. Its really not that deep 💀 legion gives u a lil tickle and then his teammate who should be across the map pressuring gens is gonna come and get the down?

If they're 2v1ing than they're gonna lose, because no matter how short chases are, gens are extremely easy to pop in 2v8. Speed penalties will only apply when the gen is popped, that means theoretically all 7 other survivors can be doing gens and popping all at the same time, benefiting from the unfair 2.5% stackable increase per cage.

Even after doing allat, they are gonna have a super hard time tunneling.

He really isn't much a threat at all, idk why you can't see that. The experience is the same for everyone, sometimes you get unlucky with your teammate's skill, thats just apart of the queuing system

it’s not even a question. I play both survivor and killer a lot, and EVERY time I play killer I am getting a 4k or a 3k if survivor camps hatch. When I play survivor, it seems the killer gets the same results I usually do and I die 4/5 times even though I am doing everything well. Not even sure how to fix this, maybe less heavy gen requirements in order to power exit gates? Seems like all my teammates refuse to do the one and only win condition…

    😂 your joking right?

It's not a skill issue. It's not anyone's opinion on whether or not legion feels bad being 2v8. It's people's actual experiences playing against a Legion in 2v8. You are on other people's posts commenting the same thing on every discussion about legion being in 2v8. Idk why you're not getting it.

So, I'll say it again for you in this post.

In 1v4, you can opt to stay injured against a legion because they'll just frenzy hit you again anyway for a free health state. You have pallets, loops, and vaults across a map designed to COMFORTABLY fit 4 survivors, so you have the option to spread out against a frenzying legion. This is not the problem.

The problem is when they are in 2v8 paired with a high mobility killer. The maps are designed for space to fit the proper number of gens needed for 2v8, and even then, it's a tight fit. You BARELY have room to spread out. A legion can get fast, chained health states. All the other killer has to do is clean up. Most chases are 2v1. Easy downs, easy wins.

To a survivor, this is not interactive gameplay. It is bland and stale, hardly any interaction with the killer, map, and objectives. Everyone's mending, being chased, healing, or getting unhooks. In that time no one is doing gens. Why are the survivors healing and not opting to stay injured you ask? There is a whole nother killer who is present on the map. An injured survivor is short work for a blight/nurse/spirit to which these killers are often paired with legion.

You can tell when a game mode feels bad when major content creators (tru3, JRM, otz to name a few) aren't even playing 2v8. Killer queue times and the survivor gameplay is just not it. Adding legion, not updating and adding new mechanics to survivor's gameplay just wasnt the play here, and it shows with all the things BHVR is trying to do to entice people to play survivor.

You defending legion on every 2v8 experience is painful. People are commenting their experiences playing against legion in 2v8 on these posts, and you're still sounding like a broken record, "They can't handle being injured… And there being a second killer doesn't change much." No. This is not 1v4 where survivors opt to stay injured cause legion'll just come back around once their power is up to stab you again, sending you to mend YET AGAIN. The whole dynamic has changed BECAUSE there is another killer introduced to the equation. The answer is different. So idk why you're still commenting as if 1v4 gameplay against legion applies to 2v8. They are not the same.

I hope you can read this and comprehend what is being said. No one's attacking your main. We are just voicing our experiences with 2v8 against a legion. Hope you have a good day.

Legion is still super weak in 2v8. Healing and mending is also way shorter in 2v8.

The reason people don't like legion being in 2v8 is because their teammates don't know how to counter them, which i because theres no mmr in the gamemode due to the queues being so long and grabbing random people across the world.

I haven't lost to a legion once yet, they're still really bad, arguably the 8 hit requirement is actually a nerf since your gonna lose all those injuries to fast heals and only get one down like a minute after starting power, or you don't get a down at all because the maps are way too big for his power.

The buffs he should've gotten was; Basekit Mural sketch, super short frenzy fatigues, basekit friendship bracelet, still only 5 hits for an insta down.

This way the legion actually makes meaningful pressure, while injuries from his power are still pretty recent for the second killer to clean up, that is if the survivors are stupid enough to not just heal right away.

Like i said, still really weak

theres 0 reason wesker should have 3 charges…

Legion shouldnt be in this mode

There needs to be a global aura read cooldown

Honestly its just a killers paradise/brain off mode at this point.

No, it is not. How do this many people not see how survivor sided this gamemode is still?

Legion Is still terrible and actually became worse in 2v8, the only reason he seems strong is because no one knows how to counter him

Wesker's 3 dashes are completely fair tbh, theres so many pallets that he needs a 3rd dash to compensate

Aura reading does not need a global cooldown, infact it needs to be made more clear for killers why an aura is being revealed. They should also know if they are being stared at by a scout.

Who shouldn't be in this mode is nurse. Already the best killer in the game, she got an insane amount of innate skills like bonus lunge range and super short fatigues. Though wesker for his infection machanic, is better than nurse since he creates a secondary objective

  • Wdym their anonymous mode? Do you not have an anonymous mode feature in your game?

Adding bots base kit alone is a pretty huge qol nerf and balance nerf for survivors.

They're not even bad. They do gens and hepp teammates, that's all They're supposed to do. Its not really a big nerf since gens can be done so fast anyway. Even with the bots the gamemode is still very survivor sided

You're talking about the 2v8 prior to this one. Which 2v8 version did you pull the 45% escape from? The only changes from last fall to now is the addition of bots, more killers, and herbs.

Exactly as i said. Tbh its only gotten better for survivors

  • @sinkra said:

Don't forget survivor classes are nerfed too compared to last time. The devs ruined this great mode.

They were not nerfed 😂. Just get better

  • @sinkra said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3885209#Comment_3885209

The classes are nerfed, especially escapist and guide. Read up.

According to the patch notes, 0 classes have been changed. Check 2v8 dev update in information. Its outdated because nothing has changed since the 2nd version. Whatever was changed was listed in game, and does not include classes

  • @sinkra said:

Based on their stats the escape rate was 45%, which made it much more enjoyable than 1v4 as solo survivor. Then the devs decided to gut survivor classes and add bots which is another massive nerf. Why do the devs want the game to be so easy for killers when survivors are the majority of the playerbase?

They have changed literally nothing abt the classes. Survivor is also the better role, even with 2 bots and no mmr

  • Since the first variation, gens were said to have been reduced to 80 seconds base speed. Feels like even less though since doubling and machanic skill checks reduce the time you spend on gens considerably

If you ever bring this absolutely terrible mode ever again, I might actually permanently quit the game. Like it is actually awful. I'd rather work than play 2v8, and I hate my job. I outlined the reasons why I hate it so much in a previous post (https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/438347/2v8-continues-to-be-the-worst-gamemode-ever-added-to-dbd#latest) but with 400% incentive and only 1 bot I tried it again. It is still awful. Like absolutely terrible. This is the worst time I ever had playing any video game. This mode is unfixable don't even try. Keep bringing back chaos shuffle, and seasonal events, and even lights out. But please do us all a favour and never touch this absolutely failure of a mode ever again.

Probably the most unpopular opinion you'll ever see on forums, 2v8 is actually more fun than 1v4. Sure its still not balanced but its more fun.

First off, the bots really aren't a problem, they play better than somsle players even

A 400% bp incentive for playing the stronger role is actually super enticing. Though survivor lacks some uniqueness like no new classes, its still better to play since surviving is almost garunteed every game

Chaos shuffle and Lights out are much worse than 2v8 barely even changing the game in unique ways. The most recent modifier, Chaos shuffle 2.0 being a big flop, and tbh was never really that good, since you can essentially do perk randomizers in normal games. Survivor barely shaken no matter what perks they run, since its the stronger role anyways

Seasonal events lately have been better, though bone chill still needs more work, Anniversary, Halloween, and the lunar new year replacement, Blood Moon are really good

I haven’t played dbd in a bit so nemesis getting his cool OG skin and the 2v8 has me playing him in 1v4 and 2v8 but mostly 1v4. I do have fun playing nemesis but it mostly comes from the perks I use on him exclusively like thwack and all shacking thunder. These two perks make nemesis feel like a little more nemesisy seeing people auras after easily breaking a pallet is very fun and that noise that plays when you fall with all shaking thunder is also fun. Of course my mandatory pain res is there to stand a chance. I use serotonin injector which is probably his only addon that is fun and not a # change. I think nemesis needs a couple things first his addons need some serious work. It’s all such butt and with newer killer addon desgin like Freddy and Dracula I can easily see some fun addons that can be made. 2nd I think he needs a movement ability of some kind. I would love to see a fixed dash be implemented into his kit when he reaches tier 2 but move the pallet breaking to tier 3. It’s a slight nerf but dashing should make it worthwhile. 3rd is whipping gens to regress this would be so in character of nemesis. 4th a Mori with a rocket launcher. That would so cool i would spent money on that. It’s all compium however but Freddy got changes and his lisence holders are notoriously hard to work with so I’d imagine capcom which they showed recently still are in good faith and making stuff will let them tweak nemmy. Also they brought OG nemesis at this point anything imo is possible. What do you guys think about nemesis currently has he aged well since his release ,is a buff warranted or he is perfect the way he is

He needs his tier 1-2 range increased, and in 2v8 he needs various buffs. (More zombies, more basekit add ons, no more initial infection hit speed boosts)

Maybe I'm going crazy but I thought they fixed the sound bug and ability to throw it in the killer model while facing a wall but it looks like it is still broken

The gamemode is obviously survivor sided. A single gen at the start can be popped within 15 seconds, due to gens taking only 80 seconds in this gamemode and the fact that guide is overpowered if you can hit greats with multiple people stacking, which happens to two gens every game

gens take 70 seconds to be completed, not even 80

Do they? I swear they just said the base speed is just 80 like before 6.1.0

  • The escape is really high actually and has been since the second variation. idk where bros getting 30% from when survivors only gotten better

  • @Caiman said:

Even with the bots, I've been escaping more often than I've been dying.

You're talking about survivors requiring 1000s of hours to be considered good at this game. I know plenty of survivors with that many hours that are still losing their matches. Stop pretending that playing killer is actually a hard role to play. It's so easy. In fact, it's so easy, you killers are entitled to your bug fixes and won't let survivors complain about bugs

Killer is still the worse role icl. Survivors lose matches for a countless amount of factors, they could be solo queuing, or they got tunneled out. Hours doesn't necessarily mean skill, but thats not the point.

Point is survivor is still the better role, and it doesn't need to be buffed, it needs nerfs to certain playstyles, just as killer does

  • He needs to get more range imo. It feels like w/ desync issues his whip got shorter outside of tier 3

1 2 3 4 5 6 … 9
