Again you can’t tell me what my HUD says in my matches. Not sure if you’re just here to be a troll but you’re doing a horrible job at it. If you’re not trolling then you clearly don’t understand that your experience is not the only experience and there are thousands of other players in this game. And according to just this forum alone, even on Twitter and other places, I’m not the only person experiencing this. I’m gonna ignore you now since you’re not adding anything to the convo and just here to antagonize.

If you are not seeing them doing anything useful which ik you are since thats quite simply impossible, did you stop to think they are stealthing from a killer? Or they're actively in chase since you don't look at your HUD. Like i keep saying, theres no mmr, you can't expect your teammates to last long enough in chases for bots and other players to do gens. Not that the mmr system works anyway in the main game at least. Im antagonizing you because its simply your own fault. Im speaking from dozens of games with bot teammates, I've literally played mobile where bots are garunteed every single game usually. And trust me they're alot worse there than here on core. Their only purpose is to do objectives and help teammates while you get chased, thats it. You shouldn't be unhappy with their chases either, since chases aren't even suppose to last that long. Looping is an unintended game feature that the devs ended up building the game around, since the thrill of the chase is the most fun part

It's nice that you're providing your perspective. But I have to say that dismissing other's as being simply inexperienced or implying that they may be lying about their experiences isn't very constructive, nor does it make you seem like you are speaking in genuine good faith.

Ignoring the majority of real, expressed experiences in favor of your own not only comes off as biased, but it also doesn't help improve the game. We all bring different experiences to the table and if only one perspective is considerd "valid" simply because it's your own, then how could progression or balance ever come from selective experiences as opposed to the majroity of them?

For meaningful discussions and changes, we need to consider the majority's input, not just assume that anyone who disagrees with your own personal experience is either inexperienced or unwilling to learn.

They don't have enough of a clue on what the problem is, so instead they're just ruling out bots as the problem to why they can't last long enough fir any meaningful progression to be made

Right! I have had several legions in 2v8. Same as when you are in a regular game….

Thats not all, if the legion is fast enough from previous hits, he can move away from a pallet before getting stunned

And every time it comes back it comes back with additions to the mode! 🎉

Thats the thing that seperates modifiers from gameomodes. This way of playing the game actually changes alot and has way more complex machanics then simple lights out and chaos shuffle

  • @justadreampallet said:

chaos shuffle was fun, 2v8 was a neat idea. Lights out was cool. But really, do we need to play the same 3 game modes every few months. I wouldn’t mind if they where annual or semi annual but it is getting boring having them keep re-introducing the same modes will make them boring.

2v8, the game mode is fun, but queue times and pre game setup is very flawed and takes ages

Personally I've never found Chaos Shuffle or Lights out to be super fun modifiers, they do one thing and thats it. They're so simple that they could be made into options in custom games, lights out turning dbd into a horror game again, no matter the killer, actually was a good idea at the time. Chaos shuffle sucks though, no one wants to play a completely different, unpopular queue, just to be forced to run random perks. You can do that in the base game with a perk randomizer, and the game already being survivor sided, you'll likely still lose on majority of killers, no matter a survivor team's perks.

joeyspeehole already said most of what my response would be but also you are wrong, first you can’t tell me what bots are doing in MY matches. I have recordings showing the bots are not on gens. Theyre running around the map in every direction as soon as they detect a kilers terror radius, they’re using up the herbs even when they’re not injured nor do they have a hook state (because you can use them even when you don’t need them) and they’re barely going for saves. Bots do not sit on gens. The only thing I’ve had bots do is attempt to heal me when I come across one and I’m injured. They are useless. Please don’t come in here and tell me what is and is not happening in my matches.

Also the removal of a cage state is not OP when there are 8 players and only 2 plants that remove a cage state. Not to mention ruin there’s zero guarantee that any survivor will get to use them since as stated the bots find and burn thru them first and that’s if the killer doesn’t also find it before you.

The fact that my post is not the only post on this forum alone (not to mention posts on other social media platforms) complaining about this is evidence that there is an issue with the bots. How big or small an issue can be debatable but you trying to completely dismiss bots as an issue is disingenuous and factually incorrect. Have a good day.

The HUD says otherwise. Like i said, they are mainly coded to progress the game while you do the hard and fun stuff, getting chased. Theres no problem with the bots I've never seen any of them ignore gens before or run away when the killers further than 12 meters away

The bots in my experience literally run away as soon as they hear the tiniest of terror radius. They are super inefficient, and apparently inconsistent based on your experience. This is why they should just be disabled from 2v8 and go back to the drawing board.

I am yet to see a bot run away earlier than the 3rd layer of either killer's terror radius. They are not scared at all of the killers, they simply are there to do nothing but help your team and not themselves. They need to stay to maks queues faster, which atm they are in almost every game because survivor is getting a bad wrap fron people who think that bots are a downside

  • Yes, from personal experience in a custom with a friend, this works

  • @Inosennatoki said:

2v8 in the first round, it feel balanced.

2v8 in the second 2, it become a survivor sided and generator is so fast

What are your thoughts on 2v8 in the third round?

Its even more Survivor sided now. Having pampered solo queue players with all these new machanics like cage state restoring herbs, faster mend times, its still obviously survivor sided. The bots are also insane at doing gens, as long as you can loop the killers for long enough

  • @OnryosTapeRentals said:

Dracula might have 3 powers but they're all relatively intuitive to play against. It takes a couple of matches most of playing against Dracula to figure out what each of his forms do:

    • Hellfire is a medium range attack that functions similarly to other killers (Nemesis, Pyramid Head, and Xeno). It's well telegraphed, the range is clearly visisble, and the SFX and animations make it clear what you got hit by.
    • Wolf form is a dash attack that functons similarly to other killers (Wesker, Blight, Demogorgon, Houndmaster). Again, it's telegraphed, and clear what you got hit by.
    • Bat form is the only power he has where it isn't super obvious what is going on and requires knowledge of how the killer operates to counter. But I'd say it's evened out by the fact he's pretty noisy as a bat, has a lullaby, and his teleport is well telegraphed.

Odds are if a survivor doesn't know Dracula, they've at least played against one of the other functionally similar killers and can quickly clock on to his similarity and engage in the counterplay. But Skull Merchant is a complete oddity in the roster. There is no killer like her so the counterplay is novel, and none of her kit was intuitive or well telegraphed.

Loading in as a new player against is her like:

    • "Okay there are Drones that give me a little triangle on my HUD when I get scanned, but other than that I have no idea what they do." —> "Oh never mind I'm injured, broken, and hindered. —> "I best try to hide" —> *gets found straight away because the game doesn't make it clear she can see your location on a radar*
    • Later in the game… *gets grabbed off a generator with no warning* because unlike the other stealth killers she has no tell that she's Undetectable (Myers' breathing, Onryo's lullaby, Wraith's grunting and partial invisibility, etc.)
    • And to make matters more confusing, *constant second guessing distances in chase and confused about why she's catching up so quick* because a teammate is getting scanned across the map but the game doesn't clearly indicate what's going on so you're just left wondering "What am I doing wrong?"

Of course I'm exaggerating somewhat but the jist of it is that she was just overwhelmingly confusing for DbD's (primarily) casual and inexperienced audience. And it didn't help that her players garnered themselves a bad reputation by playing in some of the most disliked ways.

Her individual power(s) might not have been all that great, the problem was they weren't intuitive to play against.

Actually good explanation of why Skull Merchant was ass.

  • @Aceinbush said:

Hello people of the fog, I would like to discuss something that has been on my mind for quite some time now.

When Skull Merchant last rework (year+ ago) happend, people complained that her kit is complicated and overbloated. Haste that stacks and has diferent values based on different things, hindred, info, injure + additional effect with some addons, stealth. Lot of different effects. People really disliked her and she got nuked few months ago to become the worst killer in the game.

Now, let's compare her to dracula. So dracula has 3 powers, he can swap between them with minimum cooldown, he has anti-loop, dash, teleport, movement ability, info ability (orbs from wolf). He has pretty much every single thing in his kit than any other killers. Vecna is like poor forgotten sibling compare to his kit. He has access to pretty much everything in every given situation. So in other words, he has many different abilities slap together and definitly more oppresive than Skull Merchant ever was even at her prime.

So how come that Skull Merchant got nuked from orbit and hated into Oblivion… and Dracula just chilling fine top 5 killers in game with X effects in his kit same as Skull Merchant and nobody talks about it? Sounds like double standart to me unless someone can explain this to me.

These all can't be used at once, did you think of that? Skull merchant could also injure Survivors by spamming a button, is that fun or fair? No. Dracula has a cooldown on all these individual abilities, which are also quite counterable. Dracula has a skill ceiling too, its not like Skull Merchant where anyone can just press rotate at open loops and get free injures, you have to aim to get hits, it actually takes skill. Something Skull Merchant mains do not possess

  • Again as i said in various posts of clearly inexperienced players complaining abt something thats their own fault or out of their control, the bots are not the problem, The players are. The lack of mmr in 2v8 means bad teammates. Killers also have really hard times tunneling out any survivor, since they essentially have to find them after caging. Getting found after being fully healed and sent at least 40 meters away fron both killers is simply embarrassing on your part. And correction, bots are always on gens. That is all they do, and its their intended purpose to counter dcing players while real players take on chase.

I have not seen a single attempt of tunneling once out of the 10 survivor games i played, 9 pf which i survived and majority being 6 outs or more. One match i played agaunst a wesker and legion. I had over 7 minutes of chase time between both killers, BECAUSE theres no mmr, WHICH MEANS anyone in your lobby can be any level of experience. This gamemode is survivor sided, it just keeps getting better and better for survivors, now being able to straight up REMOVE STAGES COMPLETELY FOR FREE!!! Theres no excuse why any combination of killers should be preventing a minamum of 4 outs a match, that is on you and or your teammates

  • @TonTon said:

Welp since Survs are being childish and bots not working out guess Devs have no choice now but to merge 1v4 and 2v8 into a single mode playlist now they can then get rid of bot fills but will have to introduce a lobby dc penalty to stop dodgers.

Before people say "they can delete 2v8 instead or just make surv gameplay fun* No they won't cause they spent to much time and resources on it and they absolutely did make it more fun for Survs but apparently it's never enough from most survs sure they can add more classes and new items aka Void bombs but guess it's time to for new drastic measures

I agree fully. Survivor is still obviously the better role as its been since the 2nd version now. People not knowing how to play is completely on themselves, the bots actually do useful things and typically disregard their own safety over doing gens or helping teammates. Its all the communities fault as usual for complaining abt things that aren't a problem, then they give the devs bad opinions and ideas, then they make changes that actually good players disagree with.

Its not really their fault, they can't please everyone

  • @ThatRyanB said:

Hey there folks. Popping in here to let you know that our Community Team is treating collecting and sharing feedback with the team as our top priority today. While I'm seeing general comments about how folks feel about bots in here (which we are also sharing with the team), I'd also love to dig into the specifics of how you're feeling, as these can often be the most useful feedback points.

If there are specific instances of bots doing things that you've liked or have found disruptive in 2v8, I'd love to hear them.

I for one have had 0 problems with the bots. Having 6 teammates, player or not doing gens is perfectly fine with me. They play pretty altruistically anyways, so other than that one bug where they try to interact with something someones already doing, they are just fine

  • This is just a bug where they're unaware of players interacting with a solo interactable, or even certain spots on a gen. I'm sure it'll be patched soon. But if its a big deal, u should post it as a bug in bug reporting

  • @MissiCiv said:

And again BHVR's horrendous decision strikes again to make something unfun cause they ignored the feedback

rather then increasing BP Gain on the Survivor side

rather then make it able to pip for grades

They added Bots, and it was said to be used only when necessary but every lobby have now 2 Bots if you are not in a 8 man Group

    Truly Amazing BHVR.

They're not useless. They make killers waiting in the virtual line wait less time, and survivor bots are actually really good team players. They disregard their own safety, do gens almost exclusively, they immediately run away when they know they've been spotted AND they know how to stealth very well. Survivor in these past 2 variations of 2v8 has been the stronger role, it comes down to the players not knowing how to counter certain combinations, which is because there is no mmr in LTM's. If you think core survivor bots are bad, you should see DBD Mobile's bots, they don't even know how to start doing a gen half of the time, they aldo cannot be commanded with emotes like they are on core

  • This entire post seems like an anger rant from a single experience. Play with a few friends that understand basic counterplay, and you'll notice a difference in how many "9 hits" a legion can get in a single game.

  • @Jadelysta said:

Aw, come on! you are telling me you dont enjoy having to mend the entire match?🤭😅

All Mending actions currently takes 5 seconds to complete in 2v8, idk where ur getting "all game" from. It may seem like that is the case since everyone just insta mends and gets hit again by the legion. Thats just your solo queue teammates lacking a brain, and that is because 2v8 has no mmr. Its whole queue system is super flawed, having to pick an individual killer and find a lobby where that killer isn't taken already, then having to find 6 survivor players which for some reason takes long even though it takes 10 seconds to find a team of at least 6 instantly. It comes down to whoever was queuing first for a killer match, they will find opponents first, and the killer to survivor ratio is terrible rn cus survivor gets a bad wrap, even though its obviously the stronger role woth people who actually possess a brain

  • Reaction stunning is not worth the gamble. You just need to split up and w key if the legion is onto you

  • @JonahofArk said:

Legion being in 2v8 is repellent for the game mode. Im not playing.

They wanted less queue times and decided adding legion to 2v8 was going to have survivors queue up. Dont tell me that isnt a joke, right? Out of all the killers to add, they added the one killer almost all survivors dont like? Must be the punchline.

Who doesn't like legion? Hes one of the weakest killers in the game rn. Its your teammates who make them seem strong, because for some reason no one knows how to split up which is super obvious counterplay. Hes not even overtuned, its literally that no one knows how to counter his power, they just insta mend since mending isn't long in this gamemode. Then again, im yet to see a single legion I've played against get 9 hits consecutively, its actually hard to do and you need to activate power on one end of the map and travel to the other side over time, gettung chain hits on the way

  • Um, noooo. That is definitely not how Legion works.

  • @crogers271 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/438364/legion-and-bots-are-ruining-2v8

I'm pretty surprised how little they did for survivors. Herbs? Green, healing doesn't even take that long in the game. Yellow, at the moment this just seems to be making survivors waste time searching for them. Once the spots are memorized I suspect they will be things the killers destroy right away.

And then the bots and legion make the mode actively less appealing.

From version 1 to 2 there were so many ideas that were implemented. Coming out of v2 there were a lot of ideas suggested and discuss. Many I didn't think would work, but it would have figured some of them would have been tried.

The herbs become very useful when everyone has stages to lose and injuries to heal. Someone will very likely find it, and make it respawn near teammates to lose their stages, COMPLETELY FOR FREE!!! Survivor is still obviously the better role in the 2nd and 3rd version of 2v8, the herbs make solo queue so much more bearable. If your teammates just do gens and don't 6 gen, you can win any game against any killer combo.

  • @TheDavidKingMain said:

I thought the devs wanted to make the survivor experience better in 2v8? Because making the game a 2v6 and adding quite literally the most broken killer possible for this mode isn’t really doing that.

I imagine killer queues will be incredibly long in a few days. Absolutely NOBODY will want to queue for survivor after the “newness” of this mode wears off. Absolutely a trainwreck.

From my experience, Bots actually prioritize their teammates over their own safety. You shouldn't care abt if they end up getting themselves killed, they do gens, they stealth very well too. Only problem is they sometimes waste herbs on themselves when they don't need them.

Regarding Legion, he is perfectly healthy. People seem to forget you don't want to feed him hits, I've noticed that with the considerably reduced mend time that people often mend immediately, giving another opportunity for chain hits. Not sure why people forgot this was a thing but the short mend time could be an incentive trick into feeding Legion. Just don't insta mend and wait, people should quickly learn that he plays just like his normal version.

Also, survivor at the moment and since the 2nd version of 2v8, has been the stronger role, even in solo queue. Gens still fly with bots on the team theres no excuse as to why survivors should be losing imo. Out of 10 survivor games today, i died once, majority of games being 6 outs or double hatch escapes since theres 3 hatches

  • Nope, this is one of the worst perks in the game rn. Along with shoulder the burden, shich for some reason people actually use despite its really poor design and not worthy trade off

Sometimes true you are right… but there is a good chance they know what they are doing considering the game has been around too for a long time. Most high prestige's I go against I wouldn't say it means "Nothing"

Holding m1 and running insane items, perks and add ons isn't experience and skill. Thats the problem with these players, they just 4 man swf and run op ######### knowing well their chase durations are so ass that they need the extra pressure to win

It's indicative of playtime. Now, that could mean that the person put all of their BP into 1 character, or that they have 15+ survivors at P100. We don't know. But I think that means the player is experienced, not a pushover.

Ive seen and played against countless p100s who are trash in chase and just run op gen resources to try and escape every game. Thats not skill or experience imo, since you've barely improved. I will say though, hours usually translate to boosted egos, thus, the mass dcing from people who play the game often and have expectations on how they want it to be played.

  • @CyberianFaux said:

I had a realization about what I really dislike about this game from a fun perspective and game health perspective. Most of these issues are with the current game design decisions (especially for killers and killer perks). This is not a survivor sided rant but a subjective take on what I find unfun.

With that out of the way, here are just some of my issues with killers specifically. I will break down further what I believe makes these unfun next. The first one will not be broken down simply because I feel like it would make this post too long. There are other issues I have too but feel they are way less of a problem for me:
    - Chase strong killers with potential for downs in under 10 seconds outside of normal chases
    - Chase strong killers with potential for gen control without direct interference or proximity to gens to protect them
    - Chase strong killers that have strong resource depletion rates

Chase strong killers with gen control outside proximity:
Usually this type of killer exists because their strong chase indirectly bleeds strength into their gen control leading them to be overbearing. Examples of this include Artist, Knight, and Singularity.

So, what is the issue with this? I believe killers like this make the match feel like a marathon instead of a 100 yard dash. Instead of being in an adrenaline filled, fun chase for a short duration, you never stop being pressured when the chase gets focused on someone else. This leads to fatigue for me during the match as I am constantly looking out for Artist to snipe at random gens for the full match duration, Knight to send his fastest guard to interfere for the full match duration, and Singularity to spread infection and even potentially switch to me the entire duration. I feel like matches need breaks in the action to feel fun and some parts of these designs are unhealthy for the game overall (i.e. allowing 3 gen control playstyle for two of these killers before the anti 3 gen mechanic was added)

Chase strong killers with high resource depletion rates:
This one is more of a blanket statement of what I don't enjoy than game health whereas the other two felt like they had some elements of game health in them. I also need to specify that I don't mean killers like Leatherface or Hillbilly as windows act as a useful resource against them. A lot of other killers do not care about windows with their powers. I specifically mean killers like Blight that can down you without breaking pallets very easily but have a power for them to just run through the pallets on low resource maps. I don't think the combination of strong chase potential and ability to break dropped pallets in the same ability should exist. Blight's power base kit shouldn't break pallets. I feel very strongly that the ability to break pallets in a strong killer power should only exist with a sacrificed add-on slot.

    Wrap-up:
To sum up, I don't like killer designs with a clear extreme strength in chase that can then bleed that strength into other major areas. I feel that killers with strong chase powers should only be strong in other minor areas instead of things like gen control and resource depletion. Otherwise, I believe they are an unfun design. This covers most of the killers I hate going against when I look back on my fun with the game going down over time. The part that bothers me is that most of these are more recent additions to the game. Sorry for the long post and thanks for reading!

Personally, Trapper, Nurse, Spirit, Blight seriously need to have their kits revisited.

Trapper isn't good and has a luck based power, thats dumb.

Nurse can teleport not once, but twice. And her only downside is her basekit speed when her tps are faster anyways. 9 years and she hasn't been reworked yet somehow.

Spirit can go completely invisible for awhile, on open fillers you're kinda just ######### since your not winning any loops against her fast invis you can't react fast enough.

Blight for some reason has 5 rushes when a killer like wesker has only 2 and then some niche hinder infection. Blight needs a complete rework, his kits boring, its only good on pc with higher sensitivity and super weak on console.

  • @kit_mason said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/437911/genrush

    Two questions.

    1. Why do you presume that a group of survivors punishing your chase inefficiency with gen efficiency is a SWF? They just as easily could be good solo players, given you're only getting 2 chases in a game and therefore aren't applying any sort of organization-requiring pressure for them to manage.
    2. Why do you not presume that gens are flying because you aren't properly applying pressure, instead choosing to blame your opponent for doing what it takes to win their matches?

Of my three mains (Singularity, Oni and Trapper) none of them need more than two slowdowns to win the vast majority of my games. Hell- I could probably get away with nil slowdown on Hux and still win more than half, ditto for single slowdown Oni. None of those three are Nurse or Blight.

Your right abt not assuming people are swfs, they could just be running busted resources. The problem is those resources, they need to give a penalty of some kind. Its like running an iridescent add on for killers but on survivor, there needs to be a nerf to your basekit and then i feel something like bnps or syringes would be fair. Losing your item upon use is stupid and does nothing to nerf a survivor

  • @Aceinbush said:

I can't remember last time I saw Xeno/Alien. And when I checked community stats he is like bottom top 10 least played, which is intersting. His power is also good in terms of raw power… and most survivors don't even know how to place turrets.

No one wants to see her anyway. She has one of the most boring kits in the game

  • @Wibwob said:

Personally, I haven't seen nearly enough Bubba or Ghostface lately. Executioner's also pretty fun for how little I see him. Would happily take a few less Spirits though, and Nemesis is fun but kind of everywhere lately.

Houndmaster is very uncommon still for some reason. Ik she has a pr big skill ceiling and a few bugs here and there, but nothing major anymore. I want to see less pc players playing blight and polluting ts out of pub queues. This killers needed a nerf like all S tier killers still do, hard to believe its been almost 9 years and nurse hasn't been reworked yet

  • @jesterkind said:

I won't go into tons of detail setting up the issue with slugging, everyone knows what general conversation I'm talking about regardless of how much they agree on it being a problem. What I want to talk about is one of the alternative solutions to basekit Unbreakable that I see, and how I think it's not a good idea at all despite how popular it is.

The pitch is typically something like this: Once you've been on the ground for a set amount of time, you can either speed up your bleedout timer, or just instantly bleed out and die on the spot, to avoid being stuck on the ground for minutes when the killer's aggressively slugging.

My issue with that is that I firmly believe that any variation on this system would inevitably lead to more slugging, not less, and just being able to lose faster isn't going to make it all that much less annoying. That last part is why I think it'll lead to more slugging- this suggestion would tell killer players that if they want to aggressively slug their opponents, their opponent's answer to that… is to lose faster and give them more value.

This isn't necessarily a firm argument for a basekit Unbreakable system - though for the record I do think that's the safest direction to look - but rather an argument against a faster/instant bleedout. I think that allowing killers to win quicker via slugging is going to encourage slugging, since you get more out of it if your opponents just get bored of being left there and die quicker.

Imma say the same thing i said in a similar forum, just make one survivor out of all 4 survivors being slugged, able to "get up" like in the finisher mori ptb. This machanic would only work when all 4 are alive since if you're being slugged with 3 people alive, you're likely gonna die anyways or its end game

When a survivor is downed in front of a locker picking them up takes priority over opening the locker. If this is not the correct way to make a bug report please inform me of the correct way

Actually, its the opposite. Either way its still a problem though, and theres plenty of buttons on a controller to make each action seperate. Still have no idea why BHVR doesn't utilize any of the buttons on a controller for killers

Thing is slugging id actually an issue where holding 3 gens for free is not ok. Though basekit unbreakable on last two Survivors is dumb, it makes alot of sense when all four are still alive

  • Slugging for hatch doesn't need to be removed, 4k slugging when all 4 survivors are alive does though.

The fact that I can get slugged for up to 4 mins in almost every game that I play is an amazing feature in this game. Especially when the killer slugs me just so they can mori the last survivor. Some of the best moments of my day. Nah on a real note the last 2 survivors should have base kit unbreakable bc that literally happens me in 95% of the games I play and it can't just be my luck. It's super unfair and not to mention super not fun and an unnecessarily big waste of my time.

This should be a thing when all 4 survivors are alive only. So one person can fully recover and bring the game back. Tada! Actually annoying slugging that shouldn't be allowed to happen, gone from the game forever. Its not a big deal woth 3 survivors left, seeing as if its before all gens are done, you're likely gonna die still.

Given that Jane hasn't been given many compelling outfits through the Rift, I'll gladly take this one. Though ultimately it's not especially my thing. So I doubt I'll be using Jane any more than I have in the past.

Pretty cool Plague outfit, arguably one of her best. Gotta decide if I prefer this one or her butterfly outfit..

Yun Jin has better looks, though this one ain't bad for a free outfit. The glowing eyes are a pretty cool touch, too.

I'm not the biggest Jake fan, so maybe I'm not judging this fairly. But it honestly feels kind of boring to me. But again, eyes are cool.

I feel most of Hag's outfits are pretty ugly, so I was happily surprised to see we got a recolor of one of her prettiest looks! I also like that it has pretty immersive colors, unlike her last rift skin that was blindingly white for some reason.

I'm a big fan of David, but I'm honestly not feeling this skin. The top and pants are okay, but the head is just bizarre. Strange ponytail, goofy glasses, unappealing moustache, really not a fan.

As someone who likes muscles, hence my liking of David, I'm quite a fan of this look for Blight. Whether intentional or not, he almost looks like a Cenobite, which I think is pretty cool.

As a Jeff fan, I'm eating GOOD with this recolor. Love how he has face paint and glowing eyes, similar to his best outfit, Black Metal. Plus I don't need to buy his Brazil outfit anymore, getting it for free instead!

As far as recolors go, this one's pretty good. Though I've already got better Trapper skins, like Krampus and Blighted. So I probably won't be using it much.

Pretty cool, definitely one of Knight's better skins. Though if you've already got his Headless Horseman look, I doubt anything will ever top that.

It's nice to see Julie finally get some love, and I say this as a filthy Susie fan. It's an appealing outfit with a good mix of cool, cute, and sexy.

I'm sure some people will like this. But as an established enjoyer of muscle-bound men, this twink isn't really doing it for me.

The outfit's decent, but the hair? Eh, no thanks. But yet again, the glowing eyes are cool.

I've lately been thinking how I don't really have any good Huntress skins. Sure, there's the recent Christmas one, but that's not very applicable outside of Winter months. Now with this one, I feel like my prayers have finally been answered! Love the edgy, gothic vibe with the armor and chains. Plus I get to see her huge, magnificent, muscular body~

Premium track skins=sex appeal. Free track skins=decent, normal looking attire

From DBD's game rules, which you can find here:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/139-game-rules

There is nothing in the Game Rules which specifies about "Giving Up" so i would assume no.

ABOUT DISCONNECTS BANS - DO NOT REPORT

Disconnections are penalized automatically by the disconnection penalty system. Please do not report people for disconnecting; no further action will be taken on these reports.

That is very upsetting to read. These people just shouldn't be allowed to dc until a certain point in a match. Visit my post abt adding a time buffer where no self unhook attempts and dcing is prohibited? Ee need this to at least have quiters waste more time

  • @Icaurs said:

Maybe instead of stopping people form giving up we instead look at the reasons and address them?

Funny enough they have made it far harder and yet it's the worse it's been. So maybe we ask why people give up. Maybe they have a reason?

Stupid ######### like using dramaturgy around no resources, then getting mad when you go down to expose when its your own fault

There was never a time where missing 1 skillcheck on hook could kill you, it went from mashing a button at a consistent speed to 2 failed skill checks in a row (or 3 total)

Thats another thing, missing hook skill checks shouldn't kill your survivor if you miss consecutively. Thats super non beginner friendly, they need to learn that missing simply kills them faster. Theres almost no creativity behind the decisions and machanics bhvr had made. The anti tunnel machanic is dumb, and could be made stronger with different unique effects, but its too much work clearly to make survivors invincible and collisionless for 10-15 seconds

  • @TonTon said:

Just remove the option to self unhook unless you have a perk like Deli

Well i agree that luck based occurrences like this shouldn't exist, a game can get completely turned around because of this feature. But i guess thats a bad thing since its essentially like a 5th super niche perk, and killers don't have any rare chance to do some insane effect and turn the game around. Best to leave it in though, since its like a last resort after everyone goes down or is dead, which is the only time i guess where kysing is acceptable behaviour

Maybe implement working matchmaking or an MMR system that rewards skill, go next is just the result of horrible game balance, matchmaking, and horrible MMR system. The devs have made it clear that if you don't play SWF or killer you don't matter, maybe just stop playing if you care about a fair match in solo q, I see a lot fo players already have.

The problem is, solo queue players make up majority of players. They need to balance the game to retain their playerbase which is rapidly declining. Theres no real way to see your MMR and no other way to deem a win and increase it. Kills=skills is completely not true, theres so many videos from content creators who completely disagree with this statement. You can't judge how good someone is based off the kills and escapes in a match, theres so many factors ti deciding a match outcome. Thats where making a ranked gamemode with unique balancing and ban machanics would make this issue dissappear, since then you can do whatever you want in casual, and in ranked have the reassurance of a normal match that has "going next" as not an option

I'm fully of the opinion that the "go next" problem is a game health issue, and is a key indicator that the target 60% kill rate is probably too much. There's a ton that contributes to that, but just about every patch has pushed the game that direction since about 6.1.0.

That killrate has likely skyrocketted this dbd year. Its so misleading too, since most games they just give up anyways. Thats why most people who've been here for ages just ignore the stats, cus its not actually representative of their own gameplay and expectations. I'm not exactly sure when the epidemic started, but its been complained alot abt lately, and needs to be fixed asap, or this games playerbase is quickly gonna drop. Plus, bringing new content and not fixing old stuff is not good for retaining an audience, in short, FNAF hype will not last long

  • @Pulsar

While those are the main issues they do this, that'll take ages for bhvr to implement. They probably don't even know how poor their map generation is, which has me confused on why its even randomized when set balanced layouts would be more beginner friendly and fair. But then again if all maps were exactly the same in size and number of tiles, mobility killers would become too strong. Then they would need to nerf like half the roster which takes even more time.

this would be a small fix to people who think they can just leave their match and their team behind. Its not fair to them or any of us that we have to put up with people who go next, banning them isn't fixing the game since so many people do it. The playerbase is dropping from all the people bhvr had ban for doing this stupid stuff, instead of acting out, they should be speaking out on the forums.

Thats right, bhvr needs to promote the official forums more. People don't seem to realize its the main place to deliver feedback, and theres like only a few people who are actively on here giving opinions on how to fix the game. Bhvr needs more data though, more agreeance with issues in the game that the community deems issues. Crying about your experience in the moment is not helping to gather data on why the game is getting stale

Perhaps we could address WHY they feel all hope is lost due to early misplays.

Just yesterday one of my solo queue teammates used dramaturgy around 0 resources. He died from exposed and started to spam attempt on hook. Them another teammate tried to stop them, farmed them and they both died. Every single time its because they experience something really annoying from the killers arsenal, or they make an embarrassingly bad mistake and pout to themself before either dcing or kysing. Its always for these reasons. Or cus they don't have any awareness and can't look at their HUD's ti see 2 gens basically about to pop. Its so annoying to have these egotistical players in your lobby, they think they can just run away from intended game features that they have control over

You hit the find match button you consented to participating in the match BHVR has the right to punish or ban you for refusing to play in a match

Thats the mentality all players should have, its common sense. If you're not enjoying the game which requires you to work as a team, then why are you playing it at all? Stop making your teammates lose, because of your own mistakes and lack of patience

If you want to ban people for making others miserable, then we've got a long list of things to ban for.

    Not great criteria, imo.

All flawed designs don't get me wrong, its a small fix to incentivise people to see that not all hope is lost. Banning people for abusing this unintended flawed machanic however is punishable, but the thing is, people just shouldn't be able to do it.
