BHVR needs to release better perks i guess, lately the perks have been really garbage.
-
He is not currently balanced.
-
anyone?

I think this killer needs more nerfs, tbh. He is extremely oppressive.

Oni, Twins, Singularity, Ghoul.
They all have aspects of their power that are super annoying to play against.
-
Okay everyone, stop playing the objective efficiently!!!
-
No, because i remember those days and they were traumatic. Also because it's just a bad idea to begin with.
-
Dbd doesn't need a ranked mode, queue times will get even worse. And high skill players would still only play normal mode to dominate casuals.

First, 2v8 is slated towards survivors off the bat 1v4 = 5gens 2v8 = 8 so to make up for this killers get base kit buffs to down faster to compensate ok.
Now for Oni his power is supposed to be strong as it takes effort to charge it, to counter this Oni is M1 at base so is easy to loop, the best way to play against him is to not get hit and play super safe as Oni's thing is snowballing when he has his power. If he gets it split up he cannot slug too much due to the anti-slug built into 2v8.
If Legion is a problem you can 99 the mend, body block or just force a stun at a pallet denying his power and if they are together starving the oni.
I get this is not always obvious to people especially with the chaos 2v8 brings but there is counter play.
His power takes zero effort actually, he literally has his power 24/7 in 2v8 and can 180 flick around every single corner in the game. Where's the skill expression in that?

Because people want time to play the game and (presumably the part left unsaid) time to play the game without feeling pressured to either swap to a different killer with a power they might not enjoy, limit their build to several gen regression perks, or resort to camping/tunneling to secure kills after the exit gates get powered quickly.
I think if you want to understand, you have to think of it as a mindset difference more than an objective difference. Some survivors want to load in the game and have a fair balance of doing gens, altruism, and chasing, with a relatively even hookspread and then they feel good whether they live or die at the end of the game, its whatever. And sometimes that's ruined by a nurse/blight with BBQ, Grim Embrace, Pain Res, and No way out that hard tunnels 3 hooks on the same person at 5 gens. And so whether or not that survivor lives or dies, they are annoyed with the pacing of the match, even if killing survivors is "just the killers objective." For those people, enjoying the match is the end goal, and winning/losing is secondary. For killers with the attitude you described, that means having adequate time to have chases with different people and do a little tug of war rather than getting 1-2 hooks and having the game practically be over.
Gens already feel like they take ages to complete, i feel like a lot of the time when killers complain about "Gen rushing" it leans towards lack of pressure on gens and over chasing.
-
Losing in this game is going to happen all of the time, if people stopped watching content because the streamer/youtuber lost there would be nobody watching anyone.

Ah ok interesting. I enjoy going against Houndmaster and love going against Dracula and vecna which is why I asked. Your problem with Vecna is weird though, crouching in my experience always works. Maybe you just got very unlucky in your matches against him. Also never noticed the hitbox of Wolf being big myself.
And Houndmaster's dog's vault speed was indeed nerfed, it is now much more reasonable.
Vecna is pretty much fine now imo, i just dont view crouching as a consistent counter.
Dracula i still strongly dislike because wolf form hits seem really….. generous.
Hound is probably fine now then, if the vault speed was changed.

I've seen someone say he is bugged right now and can hit over most walls? there was a gif etc in the thread but it got closed because it wasn't in the bug report section.
I love nemesis, I hate how he is always bugged. He is bugged 100%, he hit me over one of the filler tiles in Pale Rose swamp and i was crouched and there was no possible way he should've hit me.
-
It's the same thing on 1v4 only its Ghoul every single match, so its mending simulator no matter what you play.
-
Pretty sure majority on the survivor hate playing against ghoul right now. Obviously theres a select few outliers that do enjoy him, overall though he's widely disliked. His vault speed is too fast, his leap cancelling is OP, he gets free injures with little to no effort, the speed & distance per leap needs toned down for tunneling sake. Just everything about ghoul thus far is negative to me, he is one of the best tunnelers in the game, and he can deny anti-tunnel perks instantly & for free (Dead hard, Off the record).

What's so annoying about Houndmaster, Dracula and Vecna?
Hound: The dogs vault speed is annoyingly quick leaving a very little window for counterplay. (Unless it recently was changed)
Dracula: Wolf form hitbox is insanely generous.
Vecna: He's fine now, but at release i hated him due to the mage hand thing. But his skeletons are currently kind of annoying i guess? mainly due to the hitboxes and how crouching doesn't ever seem to work for me.

Well Survivors use to have the perk "Distortion" before it got nerfed into nothingness. Something something Killers complaining. I thought it was fine tbh.
Whats funny about that is, right after they gutted Distortion they released even more killer aura reading perks/add ons. Distortion is in a pretty bad state now, will people admit it? Never, because they love to never see it.
-
Fortnitification is real.
-
The recent trend for me is how many annoying killer powers can they release back to back to back.
-
Legion & Oni, all that needs to be said.
-
I personally really enjoy that i can hear Orela's voice lines from other players.

Lmao spirit + legions worse lol
At least oni requires some skills to use
They removed his skill expression by buffing his turn radius, only bad Oni players will miss their hits.
-
They can take Oni away too and i wouldn't even care. He literally has infinite power all game, and 80% of my matches yesterday were washed before 3 gens were done.
-
Not a fan, played maybe 6 matches? before going back to regular mode. Oni in 2v8 was probably the worst killer in 2v8 imo, his 180 flicks are stupid annoying.
-
@Rokku_Rorru said:
Sometimes I wonder if he'd feel better to go against and play if his bottles gave a gradually worsening hinder, rather than outright a flat percentage, to punish people for camping pallets and not punishing those trying to avoid his pink clouds as much as possible.
Because personally I dislike how they handled his buff, giving him such a strong hinder doesn't feel good to control against, but it also sucks for clown players that people just camp pallets against him.As a survivor who hates clown, i would like this. He feels so awful to go against.

You arent more gooder than me thogh

Sitting on a gen pressing button is not miserable for me. But we all have our own preferences. Ofc the randoms can get somewhat annoying but naaah rather play solo Q with randoms than as a killer against SWF.
Getting a SWF as killer isn't as common as everyone makes it out to be, Scott Jund did a video talking about this & from my own personal experience he is correct. Solo Q is currently the most miserable way to play the game as of right now, a lot of people here like to claim that almost every match they get as killer is against a 4 man bully squad and it's so cringe & wildly untrue.
-
@Jylppy said:
No. Absolutely not. Well actually survivor is ok because I play games for entertainment purposes and just want to sit back and relax. This is achievable on the survivor side. But as a killer? Lol I would rather jump from a roof head first. Playing casually my favorite killers against 4 syringes, sprint burst/dead hards and other annoying perks with SWF comms and strategies? It is insanity. If you still do this and you are not a streamer who makes money out of it, I feel sorry for you. Period.
Idk what game you play, but survivor for me is absolutely miserable.

skill issue is when survivors force down away from gens that are being worked on lol.
On actual high skill levels, you can easily deny value of this perk, i recommend you to play against actually skilled teams.
Also...Surge is literally not a passive regression, passive regressions are Ruin, CoB and Overcharge.
Eruption comparison wise, Eruption is the best regression atm.
Surge is a passive regression perk, its passively active in the background waiting for you to get a down, but i guess different people can think otherwise. Also, low/high MMR is irrelevant to Surge's strength as a perk. I see very good players use Surge and get great value from it, just like low MMR players. Your argument doesn't make sense.
-
I kind of wish that there were rift fragment buffs in this hotfix, but i get it….. Only bugs, still sad though.
-
This map isn't "Survivor sided" anymore, anyone who thinks so is coping hard. The main building has a god pallet and a good window but outside of that everything else is really mid. Unsafe pallets everywhere, jungle gyms that have really trash layouts & trash window vaults. The car park is a decent tile though but that's really it.
-
I've reported this issue awhile ago, it seems BHVR just doesn't care about fixing Janes cosmetics.

it's useless compared to almost every other gen slowdown perk. Counterplay to it is literally so easy that you'd have it's value denied so often that you'd be extremely lucky to blow up gens that actually have some progress and are important for protecting.
Eruption exists and is way more consistent + is the best perk for protecting your 3-gen
Hate to be this person, but i think its a skill issue. I get tons of value using Surge, i don't understand how you think its a bad perk? Eruption is a completely different perk, it requires gen kicking unlike Surge. Surge is a passive regression, hence why its numbers are a tad lower, but even then doesn't make the perk "worse" than Eruption.

One change I‘d like is that locked lockers reset to open after a generator gets completed. It is extremely frustrating having to break every lock when you teleport in endgame.
Not a good idea, it just logically doesn't make sense because the lockers don't have power running through them. But then again a lot of things in this game logically don't make sense, but this also would also just be kind of annoying to deal with from a balance standpoint. It would mean that the Dredge wouldn't break as many locks because of their own kit & it would make macro play for survivors much worse, and not to mention kind of broken to just never keep any of your lock progress you've made to have a chance in chase.
-
She is fine, no changes needed imo.

many questionable perks have big pickrates, Surge is one of those and is...the worst active gen regression perk you will pretty much rarely get actual value of if survivors happen to force downs away from gens being done + regression is way too low for how inconsistent this perk is. I won't say it needs a buff because with it's radius, no buff will make it actually more useful to pick than e.g. Eruption (way more consistent and quite literally the best perk for holding 3-gens) for example
Surge is quite literally in a good spot.

Speaking of this, they mentioned soon in the livestream a new item will be given to survivors and that keys/maps will be reworked to be given more functionality.
What do you think the new item will be or hoping to be?If i had to guess, something that they've played around with before, maybe the smoke bombs we saw in the halloween event? But personally i didn't enjoy those, they got in the way too much from a teammate pov.

Solo Q survivor needs love. I won’t argue that. 💯 needs help. However this isn’t always the case for when a survivor offs themselves.
Oh a blight? Next. Nurse? Next. Ghoul? Next. Oh clown? I got downed immediately. Next. There has to be some type of accountability to a degree.
Again though, you are right. A lot of this will be resolved if they fix game balance and do more for soloq. Survivors as a whole. (Which community manager said, we don’t do enough for survivors)
Atleast they acknowledge that the survivor role needs help.
-
Lights out was a huge flop to me, the only game mode i hated more than Lights out was the Giant Oni mode.
-
I agree, i wish map offerings were retired completely.

I don’t know truthfully exactly what I want in the game, I just know that I am very genuinely tired of people going next for any given reason.
I don’t know what the solution is going to be. I’m sure the developers will be able to work that out overtime but yeah, I’m just stating my thoughts off the cuff.Again those are just my thoughts off the cuff but flagged meaning a system will be put into place where the game will be able to detect certain things as survivor is doing to try to throw or go next. If that makes any sense. :)
They have to figure out a way to handle it that wont also make the game miserable to play is the issue. Like many have said, they cannot force people to play out a match, they will find a way to just not participate. I think the key here is to balance the game properly and make the solo queue survivor role less miserable to play which is where majority of the go nexting happens.
-
Surge is fine where its at, it is currently in the top 10 most used killer perks. I am a Surge enjoyer myself, and i don't think it needs any changes.
-
@MechWarrior3 said:
I just feel like what the go next will do is of course the stated obviously….Which lessen the chances of survivors giving up and less opportunities to get in a match.
*Lose out on BP
*Lose a grade
*DC penalty - (What’s the max time the dc penalty can go up to?)
Sitting by a killer? You’re flagged
Offing yourself on hook? Flagged.
Going afk immediately after unhooked. Flagged.
Walking around X amount of time without helping push the objective? Flagged.
Going around throwing all the pallets on the map to get the killer’s attention? FlaggedSpam vaulting? Flagged.
I have had so many winnable matches that would have worked out perfectly had someone not decided to throw/give up. Lol
Are these all things you want in the game? and by flagged what exactly do you mean?

OH! Good stuff. Spicy build! That’s the “I ain’t takin no crap from you!” Type of build! 🤣
Yeah haha i tend to get hard tunnelled ALOT so i kind of have to use the DH+DS build lately.
-
I don't mind some quests being easy and some being a little more challenging, personally.
-
I am currently trying to P100 Orela so i have been playing as her.
I usually swap between two builds, right now my build has been Dead Hard, Resilience, Adrenaline, Decisive Strike. But when im not using that build i typically use Dramaturgy, Finesse, Fixated, Vigil.
-
When i get a killer that's actually my MMR/skill level i have fun. But majority of the time i get killers who are like 15k hours in and play like their entire families lives depend on the 4k. And i also have fun when i get teammates that match my MMR as well, but again… majority of the time my teammates suck.
