at this point in time iv finally witnessed more than one hacker at a time playing the game whilst ruining the experience but at the same time showing me that its purely lack of skill as to why people even do it but i have some clips and footage of the game i just finished (and still won) but i ll let what i can upload speak for itself…

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/2WUVI70N0AAA/272425ea-92ed-44df-ad7e-7026e4d31184.jpeg

    What were they doing?

Since BHVR really wants to make bucks with cosmetics, imo there should be an added cosmetic category called "special" that deals with things like Victor skins, Oni Kanabo skins, huntress hatchet skins, houndmaster dog skins, dracula wolf skins, etc.

However, given the amount of cosmetic bugs that have plagued the game, I wouldn't be surprised if this breaks the game for whatever reason which is another reason why BHVR should really start cleaning up their spaghetti code this upcoming QoL patch.

Visceral category is used for skins that feature power visual changes and custom mori animations, as said by the devs and proven by Houndmaster's Ultra Rare Visceral cosmetic

Yeah, it needs something because waiting 60 seconds for a broken status effect to go away - sure you can pair it with Vigil (I wouldn't even use Clean Break here). It's just too situational to get value, should just be that you heal someone fully, hit the button to go broken, and lower the seconds it takes for a heal to pop off imo.

I haven't really used Moment of Glory as I think it's also situational.

I prefer more consistency in my builds or at least synergies, but not a bad idea regardless.

better idea for MOM, Search only once and keep the heal timer at a minute. That way your teammates dont necessarily make your perk useless

I still have no idea why they made it so that you have to fully heal and be tapped as a heal to make Clean Break go off.

Such a weak perk due to this. Being healed in 60 seconds is god awful as well, other than saving time from another survivor healing you. I'd never use the perk as a result.

Ye clean break should go to 32 seconds and moment of glory should be instantaneous. The kit however should be a higher timer since its a requirement free use

I keep hearing and seeing people talk about how MFT is such a big problem these days.

I do not understand why MFT is considered a problem right now. Does it really need to be nerfed?

I am willing to change my beliefs if I am provided with a reason that makes sense.

No, but hope definitely does. I feel like thats where the hate for mft comes from, this combination is busted af

How about nerfing syringes to 24 seconds, which is the same time as a regular self-heal

That is way too short, this insane effect needs to have a downside (losing your medkit is nothing) niche perks take ages, why shouldn't this? You activate it at will and theres no preexisting requirements. 24 seconds would be super unfair still. I'd be fine with like maybe 32 seconds and it can't be impacted by heal perks and add ons anymore

  • @ContentCreator said:

Do people find this worth addressing? I mean the situations where people get it free mid-chase. All it would take is a skillcheck at the start of a medkit heal to discourage. There would actually be some window of risk involved.

The thing is, syringes do exactly what moment of glory and clean break can in only 16 seconds, thats too short. If they made it close to the minute it takes for the perks, than it'd be a lot more fair.

Styptics already got nerfed in the past, only 5 seconds, which is balanced imo.

However, there needs to be an audio queue for killer and using survivor that a syringe or styptic was used, its si annoying to accidentally hit someone who popped a styptic when you couldn't even hear them

Speaking in terms of concept, sure. But the execution of Houndmaster leaves a lot to be desired IMO. She’s just too buggy to enjoy playing for me. But I get what you’re saying.

All of her gameplay bugs as of this point are resolved, she only seems to have that one laugh bug when using a search path and turning while on it. Everything had been so consistent with her as of this patch, i feel like she is the perfect killer now. P.S I want the 5 second anti-escape back, not escaping is a survivor's own fault and the current 1.5 seconds isn't even enough to down and pick up a survivor

I feel like houndmaster misses much of the "fun to play" aspect.

She is fun to play, shes good at countering swfs since bodyblocking isn't really an option against her. Thats my reason at least for maining her at least, but shes also one of few killers that actually take skill, plus no one else plays her, so seeing someone so good at her is a significant achievement imo

Seriously? Nurse is much harder to learn, takes more skill, and is rarer to face. The new killer is miserable to encounter for many people, and he will suck the fun out of the event. I hope they nerf him soon, but I doubt they will.

Cap, cap, cap. Nurse takes 0 skill, her entire kit is just getting free hits, and the occasional 50/50 los blink. The new killer takes alot more skill to learn his machanics, though he is very slightly overtuned, they nerf his post swing speed after canceling and hes just a stronger Legion. His quick hits are fine, a little buggy, but its his catch up ability thats the problem.

The Ghoul is another example to a super fun killer to play as, but, extremetly boring and irritant killer to face against, so my question and discussion is. How to develop a strong killer but fun for BOTH sides?

Houndmaster. Thats it. By far one of the most balanced killers released in awhile. She has a mix of niche traversal and a counterable chase power that relies on both survivor and killer's skill to dodge and land grabs. Camping pallets though garuntees a dog stun, you waste pallets faster, so you can't just camp and make her power useless. Both sides suffer, and thats fair

Kill/escape rates, killer happiness, survivor happiness, player count, balancing, etc.

What do you think? Would DBD be healthier, the same, or more toxic in your opinion? The big caveat in a lot of conversations is SWF. The major difference is simply information. Being able to speak with friends and determine exactly what to do nex given specific circumstancet; something DBD doesn't want you to be able to account for to that degree.

If that elephant in the room simply never existed, what conversations are we having about the game, and what does DBD look like both observationally and statistically.

Completely different then swf/on call. One destroys so many vinilla dbd features like Blindness and auras. Theres no way to make people stop really so they might as well incorporate it into solo queue or make the HUD show a lot more than it does now. Theres a concept video on YT showing what the HUD could look like to make solo queue better

The perk is as good as the survivors, if it's an experienced team, it will win you games, if you don't know which button to press to repair the generator, you'll probably lose with it

I feel like its only good if you have ds and you use it on a death 2nd stage teammate who lost their ds, that way you can anti tunnel if you end up going down

This is what is in my opinion the most difficult way possible to try and complete the Orange Glyph Challenge.

    1. Play Scratched Mirror Myers
    2. You cannot use Boyfriend Memo
    3. You must go to The Game
    4. The only perk you bring is Dark Arrogance
    5. You cannot tunnel

I don't think there's a harder way to try and complete the Orange Glyph besides playing killers without using their power like nurse or something.

As evidence you can actually win this way.
I even got a kill by the end (i tried for a 3k+ but 1 kill was satisfying enough lol)

Kaneki's just about everything I wanted in a killer, so much so that it made me want to consider playing the game again — anime, looks cool, has a waifu skin, every killer seems to consider him strong and really fun. It all seems like a really perfect buy, but something in the back of my head is practically screaming that it's TOO perfect. It's hard not to stand by that when the survivor side is already in uproar about him.

I can't really help but think it's inevitable he'll get nerfed at least how Chucky did, if not worse. I played Skull Merchant and Trickster before I stopped, so I'm used to bad killers people hate anyway, but I've never really been in a situation where I played a strong killer I really liked, and then they got nuked into obscurity; I'm not sure if that sort of whiplash is something I could deal with. When he does get nerfs (and that's probably inevitable), how likely is he to at least still be enjoyable (so somewhere around B-tier at worst)?

Theres a high skill ceiling, but he is very close in line with Nurse atm and will likely get nerfed. He is perfect for killer players, for now

  • @[Deleted User] said:

The devs just make bad perks every chapter and just why? The players gives feedback within the PTB and tells them bad perks needs a rework/change, but the devs doesn't care at all. Like in this ghoul chapter, a lot of people said Forever entwined is so bad, an useless outdated effect, and needs to be reworked. Other perks like the new knockout and others got a negative feedback that needs some changes but had no changes from the PTB. Some perk changes on this patch is just a band-aid fix or doesn't increase the usage rate drastically. It's seems making a new chapter with all 3~6 perks that has some value is rocket science for the devs. Either they make charcters with all 3 good/decent perks like artist, pinhead, Jill, Gabriel, or all too niche/bad like Wesker, Skull merchant, both Lyra, etc.

Idk the point of having consultants at this point. Either the devs ignored the feedback and consultants, or the consultants were sleeping on the job.

Forever Entwined counters pallet saves a little easier since you can quickly get out of the pallet

Also Grim embrace started a very bad perk, Jill's counterforce sucks still, and Gabriel has Scavenger, which is also pretty terrible

Gap-shots have been a staple of skill expression for the Deathslinger since his release.
As of late, Deathslinger has been getting many nerfs that only affect the top performing Caleb Quinn players. Who enjoy trickshots and displaying their skill over screenshotting their 4k.
These "Nerfs" happen to be obvious changes to the maps that are meant to stop Deathslinger players from exploring and utilizing the few holes left in this game's walls.

I'll be showing some examples in a moment.
Yes, I'm involved in a community with a large quantity of the best Deathslinger's and it's a common opinion that going for gap-shots is throwing the game.

    -

Not only does spearing survivors through tight gaps tax your precision, positioning, and mentality. It is impractical in most cases.

Many gap-shots in various jungle gyms can only net you an injure due their position.
Many gap-shots are so tight they completely rely on timing to hit while also requiring a high-level of precision.
Most gap-shots are impractical simply because of your positioning after hitting a gap-shot. Hitting these shots typically entail you are going to be have to walk around the wall you just shot through, reload, then find your survivor across the map with a 110 killer.

Compare getting a "free injure" by hitting a gap-shot with Deathslinger to many other strong killers. Nurse/Blight/Spirit Can achieve many free injures and downs and have much better options with following through a second hit to that survivor or traversing to another.
Not that I'm complaining that these killers are stronger. Even a simple m1 killer like trapper would just simply continue the chase.
I feel like I could put a lot of killers on the spotlight in comparison to really solidify that hitting gap-shits is simply a skill expression, and far from optimal, but I will end that here.

    -

With that established, I'm going to show a few examples of what they've nerfed. Then go over why they BHVR is doing it.

    1. With the release of the Tokyo Ghoul, They recently added an out-of-place stone block to stop Deathslinger from headshotting survivors

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/KUTZNCSJOONT/eyrie.png

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/P0Y0DRZXOVA8/eyrie2.png

    2. You used to be able to hit through this stairwell in RPD. (You still can but not from the ground-level, where depicted)

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/8838LJJN766D/image.png

    3. Shooting over the AC units is no longer possible

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/BPCIQ424XLIB/image.png

    4. Shooting over this balcony on RPD is also no longer working. (Note: in the RE 2v8 mode many of these RPD shots are still possible due to them using an earlier version of this map).

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7ZW0GW31TTGG/image.png

    5. Yamoaka Shack | This hole used to not have a drape on the other side. I hit it many times before they added it.
Not only that but after the cloth was added, it was still shootable from one side. Nowadays it doesn't go through either way.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/YT3SJ4OQH5QB/image.png

There's several other RPD specific shots they nerfed but we'll look at another realm.

    6. The snowcat in Ormond has several open areas that Deathslinger could shoot through. Nowadays there is an invisible wall that was added along the ENTIRE BOTTOM OF IT.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ED1L3F6ROT66/image.png

There are so many shots I could also I could also showcase that had no reason to be nerfed.

Disclaimer: There are many gap-shots that shouldn't have stayed in the game. There were a few shots on Midwich and Autohaven that went through missing textures. I understand the sentiment of removing gap-shots that were unfair.

    -

Now that I've shown and explained why this is very unfair to the committed Deathslinger mains. I'm going to explain why BHVR is even doing this.

They are simply, frankly, incredibly biased towards the new-player experience because they are the most exploitable for purchasing in-game cosmetics with Auric Cells :D
While also being the most likely to quit the game early on because they were hit by something they didn't understand immediately

I'm sure that comes off as rash and distasteful. However, the amount of L updates the devs have put out and the lack of TRUE engagement and care for their own community has left me bitter.

Thank you very much for reading my post. I'm sure it'll get ignored or at most, many people telling me that these shots were removed fairly because they just look forward when they run and don't have the game sense to counter a trickshot.

    Have a good evening lads,

Im pretty sure that stone brick on eyrie was added because it gave survivors visibility of the killer. I guess that indirectly nerfed slinger

For challenges? Is that ok? Or do I have to play the new killer for X amount of time before I play something else?

I mean, have you really played him so much in the span of 30 hours? Besides, people want to play against the new killer for the most part, i bet they'd be hella upset if they got a killer who hasn't even been changed yet. But then again there should be a temporary queue that only allows new stuff to be used (Killer/Killer Changes, New Maps, New Survivor/Survivor Changes, perks. This would be post ptb and in live servers, so testing is already over.

  • @BalanceBothSides said:

If a player did this it would be called what it is, ESP/Wallhack.

It's INSANE that an opponent could quit the game and then 30 seconds later your totem gets cleansed by a bot with a map hack.

AI needs to only find these hex totems ORGANICALLY. The way a normal player would. As if 90% of hex perks weren't already mediocre enough aside from NOED, Pentimento and Plaything.

This issue needs to be addressed immediately. Can you imagine how bad this would feel as a killer? Getting punished for an opponent quitting the game?

The same applies to the hatch, its so obvious by bots movement they always know the location of the hatch.

Yeah they did that on mobile too, they never fixed it for all 5 years it was around though. I guess they assumed that the lack of skill bots possess makes up for their knowledge of the game's coding and spawn logics. It should go since core bots actually know how to loop

    ALERT!

    CONTRAVERSIAL STATEMENT!

    PREPARE YOUR SALT SHAKERS!

    Hello, Dwight main here!

I come to you all today to tell you that the Ghoul is the biggest slop I've ever gone up against in DBD. The Ghoul is an unbalanced and broken mess. And I know for a fact that other players can agree with me!

You wanna doge the jumping attack? Too bad because it can hit you from 10 feet away! Want to dodge the targeting attack? Guess what? That can hit you even if the killer misses! And it can do it from the other side of a wall too! Thinking of running away? Good luck!

Jokes aside, the Ghoul's abilities and attacks almost never miss. And the fact that 90% of killer mains at this very moment are playing as the Ghoul makes the game for survivors very unenjoyable, at least from my experience today. I've been playing the game all day today and I have had 80% Ghoul games only and holy GOD DAMN they destroy my team regardless of skill! The only time I managed to escape was by doing the uhh "spinning around the killer" move. I don't remember what it's called, but it saved me like three times. The Ghoul is so overpowered and it ANGERS ME! HOO RAH!

Oh and it's buggy too. Did I mention that it can hit you from the other side of a wall?

If you've had a very unfortunate encounter with "Le Ghoul," feel free to share your experience below!

Anyway, hope everyone's having a great day. 🙉

Also downvotes = I turn you into guacamole.

He gets to use a leap too fast after he finishes one. If they increase the time before you can perform another, it'll be alot harder to get quick hits

  • @Minibeasty said:

So I was just curious about your experiences going against the new killer.

So far he is down right slaughtering me and my teammates and people have already started to give up once they get hooked. We rarely get more than two gens done (by "we" I mean my soloq team). I admit I'm not a very good player but getting stomped like this feels unusual tbh.

In my experience new killers tend to have rather low kill rates right after the release before people truly master them.

So what changed here? Are you guys having fun going as and against him? How has it been for you so far? :)

Edit: Just got out from a game where someone went afk right at the start and for the rest of the trial. :I

He definitely gets to attack too fast after a leap. I think his base speed should be kept for awhile after the leap as it is now, but he can't attack for like 2 seconds. This killer makes a 20 meter gap between tiles a deadzone just because they can swing right back to you and insta tap, its really boring to play against

  • @KolbyKolbyKolby said:

    Surrender Option

Under specific scenarios, it will be possible to Surrender during a trial and retain some progress including:

    • Bloodpoints
    • Match XP
    • Challenge progress
    • Emblem scores

Surrendering in the following conditions does not incur a Disconnection Penalty, but will not count as a completed trial and still causes item/addon loss:

    Killer:

    • When all remaining Survivors are bots
    • When no generator has been completed within the last 10 minutes

    Survivor:

    • When all other remaining Survivors are bots
    • When all Survivors are in the Dying State

My question is, what exactly does it mean that it doesn't count as a completed trial? You get emblem points, you get bloodpoints, challenge progress. What exactly is in "completed" trial that is separate from those?

You didn't die or escape. Surrendering i assume just ends the match for both remaining players or replaces you with a bot as a survivor. This machanic is almost never going to come into play though, in all 4 scenarios

The main reason people were upset about Oni flicks was because it was pc exclusive. Now that console can do them there's not much of an argument. If people think its too strong, they should adapt to it, 180 flicks were frustrating because you didn't know if the Oni you were playing against was on pc or not, which made him inconsistent.

Im upset now only because it takes away the one counterplay to Oni, getting behind a wall. And now more players can do it too, whoch means theres abt to be an Oni influx after the Ghoul's release popularity dies down

  • Happy both platforms are equal now, but neither should be able to do this

  • @T1MEXII said:

First, I'll go over some things about trappers base kit and how I would change them.

    • Disarm Time from 3.5 seconds to 5 seconds.

    • Escape Attempt Time from 1.8 seconds to 7 seconds.

    • Rescue Time from 1.5 seconds to 3 seconds.

    • Escape Attempt Chance from 16.67% to 100%.

In my opinion, the biggest weakness to Trapper, even after the massive buff is the fact survivors can escape with a percentage. Killer should be rewarded for good map knowledge, not punished by mechanics.

    • REWORK - Escape time is based on how close he is to the trapped survivor, taking longer when hes far away, and no time really when hes nearby (trap escapes are still garunteed)
    • NEW - Teammates can't save you now from traps (aimed at eliminating swf coordination)
    • NEW - Injured survivors who Escape a trap now recieve a 20% hinder that stops rushed vaults for 2 seconds
    • NEW - Canceling a Trap Disarm will backfire and injure you without getting trapped, still Disarming the trap in the process, but at a cost (denies holding traps from catching other survivors without a punishment)
    • NEW - A trap must be at least 10 meters away from an already set trap (eliminating basement trapper, essentially the shack window will be the only safe way out of shack if there is a trap at each doorway. If the window is trapped, then the doors are safe to exit from)

Changes are aimed at removing luck from Trapper's kit, while not making his traps garunteed downs for survivors. Survivors can't quickly recover from traps anymore, and using certain strategies to help others, will make you pay the price for their expected demise

its not balanced imo simply bc as killer your FORCED to run slowdown if you want to win (with all killers)

Thats where survivor balance cones in, some killers don't even need perks to win, like nurse, twins and blight. Their kits simply do too much for mobility and ending chases too quickly. Then again, every other non S tier killer relies heavily on perks to win, survivors having an insane amount of resources that still makes it the obvious better role, this is kinda what causes certain playstyles to occur (tunneling, camping, gen rushing, syringe apocalypse (or other forced resources. Theres 4 survivor offerings against 1 killer offering, thats not fair) Yes, the games unbalanced, just not exactly for that reason

it’s been the same thing for about 20 games and it’s actually annoying I swear if this freak of nature doesn’t get nerfed I’m gonna bully every single person that plays him I can only take so much of this freak running around camping gens breaking my pallets and just not being able to escape from

Maybe just number nerfs, less tokens and infinite initial rushes, essentially then hes just slightly stronger than wesker and not super busted anymore. Tho then he'll need collisions and such to be optimized for the lack of make up rushes he has. His rush attack also needs to have more effects on it being a sweep attack that is harder to dodge, many people don't realise that he has a much larger hitbox on rush lunges

  • The problem with it being 1.5 seconds now is it can't stop people from leaving. Its essentially a useless feature

They changed this in the 8.5.1 update, the gate block linger was lowered to 1.5 seconds. With it blocking the gate for 5 seconds it enabled the Houndmaster to permanently prevent a survivor from leaving by grabbing them with the dog repeatedly since the 5 seconds block was longer than her buffed cooldown for the dog, which was not intended.

Wait nvm they did change it to 1.5 bruh. Personally i find that to be an unnecessary nerf, the only people this affected is people who tbag or linger at gates instead of leaving. It was dodgeable and didn't need to be reduced, dying would be ur own fault

Thats not listed in the patch notes, and the wiki says its still 5 seconds

Survivor is not inside the exit area when you do the attack so its not going to block the exit.

Thats not how anti escape works, it activates no matter where you are. It would say that on the wiki if it did. Theres also other videos that show the bug, like Minskull's video on exit gate block abilities

your child should not be playing a rated M game,.

u dk the age of his child, and the age of the child doesn't matter. Theres alot of under recommended age individuals who play dbd, its simply an age rating warning, its not like he isn't allowed to play

  • U dk the age of his child

Why are you letting your child play a M rated game? Also, why are you acting all high and mighty and preaching at a bunch of completely unrelated strangers? We didn't do that, don't have any idea who did, nor would most people condone them doing that.

U dk the age of his child, what if they actively play dbd together as like a late teen and a dad? Cus that definitely exists and most people would want to share the love of dbd with their family members, even if its a weirdly inappropriate game in the eyes of parents. Personally, I'd love for either of my parents to play dbd with me and actually understand it the way he does.

Hes not telling you to stop doing it either, hes simply just pointing out that it should be instantly bannable, as it should, its essentially hate speech which is a crime

Watched my son play and he got a 4K. He's pretty good at survivor and very good with Huntress.

After the match he got told to end himself and hope he gets cancer.

What is going on inside your tiny mind that thinks that's acceptable?

Go to a parent who's recently buried a child and laugh.

Go to a children's cancer ward and point and laugh.

Devs need to take a much stronger stance on these types of comments including up to a permanent ban on their ip address for frequent use of this type of comment.

Thankfully my son laughed it off but what If he didn't?.

Get a grip and stop getting upset over a video game.

    Sad, pathetic and potentially harmful.

    Who tf downvoted this?

I believe they have fixed when I see it. Knowing BHVR's track record on "fixes", I'm not holding my breath

He just said it was fixed in the latest ptb. On video, go watch DStrike
